Went in at 12 noon for two tyres, ordered through blackcircles.com (who are excellent by the way)

Told them I was urgently needing to collect my son from nursery at 2.30 (which was a little-white-lie - I needed to collect him from school at 3)

...and could I have a 4 wheel alignment as well please?

The teenager fitting my tyres was more interested in his sandwich. At one point I watched him take a bite of his sandwich.... take a slow walk to my car.... and then take a slow walk back to the sandwich, without even touching the car - he didn't know it was my car, and that I was watching from outside while I was on the phone.

It took over two hours to fit two tyres, and my car was on the ramp the whole time

They put it up on the ramp and took the wheels off, so I couldn't go anywhere.... and left it unattended for nearly half an hour

In the end I only JUST made it to the school at 2 minutes past 3 (good job I gave myself a half hour margin, otherwise my 5 year old would have been unattended)

I went without the 4 wheel alignment - no time.... and they said it WASN'T POSSIBLE to change two headlight bulbs... ON AN AUDI !!!
It's not like I drive something from Communist Russia... or China.

I saved money with blackcircles.... and lost over two hours of my life with Merityre

2 hours that I'm never getting back

I had the other 2 tyres changes recently - I used someone else.

I've had two great experiences at Merityre Kingston over the last couple of months. First up I booked a brake check and ordered 4 new tyres online. I shopped around extensively and Merityres were easily the best value for the Pirelli's I wanted. I booked and paid on line and was allocated a time slot for the fitting. All pretty straight forward. Not only did I recieve excellent service at the branch but they also re-assured me that my brakes were fine - despite the fact that Kwikfit had told me they needed replacing during a recent service. Merityres have subsequently completed my MOT and re-charged my Aircon - all completed with the same friendly efficiency, As someone who dreads taking cars in for service / repair I find the high standards, honesty and helpfulness I've encountered at the Kingston branch most refreshing and highly commendable.

Company appears to be purchasing data and marketing people through the post, this is illegal as well as harvesting such information, i have never used this company, looking at their reviews i would never use them, And they are sending me marketing paraphernalia through the post with my name and address on it, they claim they only send out marketing items to people who use or have used their service such as MOT in the past 2 years, I have NEVER used them so under GDPR rules they are acting illegally and it will be stopped

I spent a morning on line and on the telephone trying to get a replacement tyre even the depots that had the tyre in stock were not very helpfull telling me I had to place the order on line to get any discount one told me to book on line and come over rightaway and they would give me a discount but not as much as the on line discount but the online site would not al;low me to do this.When I phoned Merityre Kingston(my nearest depot) they did not have my tyre in stock but told me that their Southfields branch had 4, I phoned Southfields who told me to come straight over and quoted me the cheapest price of the day. time from Ham and back including fitting the tyre one hour. I shall definitely use them again and recommend them to my friends and family.

I had a terrible experience with staff of Sunbury Merityre, particularly with supervisor of the shift who was so rude to me at first when I was choosing a new back tyre for my Audi A3. When I asked for choices I wasn't advised at all, and it seemed a hussle for him to tell me what tyres they had. When fitted, I have noticed the difference in size between new fitted tyre and my rest of the tyres, resulting my car tilted to the side. I have asked politely if the new tyre had bigger pressure than my other back tyre, having this as a reason why my car looked uneven, but instead I got the answer "they're same", even that they weren't. When I asked for a different tyre, that will look similar to the rest, I was told that it will cost me £70 more, putting a pressure on me to stay with this fitted tyre, even I wasn't happy with it, and nobody would. I do understand people come from different levels, but customer service is important. I have decided to get a refund, and asked to put my spare tyre as I wasn't happy. He called me "hard work", and laughed at me. Shocking. I'm a female by the way.
After all, I went to Quickfit instead, and the difference in their service was tremendous. I will never choose Merityre again.

Took a wheel there with a puncture and they fitted a new tyre when I collected it for my son thought it was strange that they hadn't pumped it up
He fitted it to his bike and you could hear it hissing out
Was reluctant to drive it over as sure as eggs are eggs they would say he had damaged it
Took it off the bike and yet again I took it there
Was told it needed a tube ( if you take a punctured tyre in don't they check that ?? )
Went back to collect and was told they couldn't get a tube so would repair old one
I said I didn't want him driving on a repaired tube so they agreed to order one
That was yet another trip !
It is now at least 3 weeks and still we wait for tube
They say they will ring back but never do
Very unprofessional company
Once this is resolved if ever ! I would not be happy to return to them

We needed a replacement tyre very quickly - Spoke to customer services at 8am & Sarah responded immediately, found a matching tyre at our local Marlow branch, booked us in & within 2 hours we were back on the road!

That is what you call a great service & the technicians in Marlow were excellent - Thank you!

I had a problem with my tyre pressure and valve light going off, I took the car to Merityre at 1710 tonight where I was served right away by I of the staff(David Fernandez). he took the car into the shop floor took off the tyre wheel and then showed me what the fault was with the valve and sensor.

he also gave me some good advice and then proceeded to carry out a tyre valve change, this was all done within 25 minutes.

This service was not only excellent but done with a professional attitude, that even at this time of day proves that some companies have good staff that shine whilst doing a small job that to the customer is a problem. Well done to David and thanks

In August, I purchased 4 new tires from the Witney branch of Merityre.
I purchased a brand for the rear and a better, more expensive brand for the front as the tread pattern was better for bad weather. These were advised by the salesman at the branch.
Around October, I went back to my branch to ask them to check a vibration, perhaps a balance weight had come off. They inspected my tires and their most senior specialist took my vehicle for a drive and told me it was my steering rack. I questioned this as I had recently had it MOT tested. It has since been confirmed not to be the rack.(read below)
At the end of November, I suffered, what could only be described as a catastrophic failure to a front tyre.(at motorway speeds) Steel belts blown out and tyre deformed etc!
It turned out that they had fitted tires manufactured 8 years ago, to the front.
The manager admitted that they don't check the date as they rely on tires being sent to be within industry guidelines (approx 3 years old max at many other retailers) also he admitted they were dangerous. I asked for prompt action as I am a tradesman and my vehicle was deemed unsafe to use. Merityre didn’t want to except responsibility and blamed, firstly their supplier (I was even told to give the supplier a call myself) as their supplier denied supplying them the tires at the first instance.
It was extremely serious and trading standards were involved.
Eventually, their remedy was to fit 2 new cheaper tires (without consulting me) and eventually offer me just £50 compensation for my garage bills and 4 days loss of earnings
I, of course contacted Dene Arnold at head office, where I found his attitude unsatisfactory, as many others have.
I would advise anyone who has purchased tires through this company to double check the manufacture dates and if you are using a vehicle for business, be wary of any redress as the head office may not take the matter seriously.

I have used Merityre in Abingdon for 12 years and never consider going elsewhere. My loyalty is based on their excellent customer service, quick and efficient work, but most of all because they treat me like a sensible customer. I trust their advice because I know it is based on a good understanding of their trade and that they want to see me and my wider family again. Highly recommended!

Used Merityre , Marlow for the first time a few days ago. Very impressed by the helpful and honest customer service. I ordered two expensive tyres for my car to replace one damaged and one slow puncture. They noticed that the slow puncture was only a faulty valve and just charged nominal fee for that. I know of at least one national tyre fitting company that would have happily sold me an expensive tyre I didn't need! Very impressed and will use again.

I took my car in for tyres which came out cheaper than blackcircles and that aspoct of the work was fine, problem was they did the tracking on my car without even asking me if i wanted the work doing, my car was running great and true with no abnormal tyre, I compained about this and got a refund

I took my car into a different merit a while later to get the other 2 tyres done and came out with my car with the steering about 20 decrees out from centre and with the front wheels toe'ing out resulting in the inners wearing out, i think they may have sorted payback for the complaint, either way i got a lot a lot of aggro when all was looking for was tyres!, I'll never go back to any merit again as there seems to be a problem there as both times I've been I've had problems

My partner called the Witney branch yesterday morning and was quoted maximum £75 for all four wheels and about 45mins to do the tracking on his Honda Civic

We arrived having been made aware it was first come first served. Left the car for over an hour with my contact phone number. On our return our civic was on the ramps with the alignment gear attached but nobody in free to talk to, so left for another half an hour.

My partner returned again they showed him the tracking print out, to which they agreed just to adjust the front tyres and it would be a 15 min wait so he sat and waited in your reception. Then the mechanic came back out to say having slight problem with the track rod and it would be a bit of a wait. After being sat there for two hours without clear explanation of what was going on, to have a sarcastic comment made to him from a staff member behind the reception. "Is yours the civic, you have been sat there a while! Hope you have been saving your money mate", my partner asked what he meant. To be told that his car had been put on an hourly rate. No price given just told it's going to be well over £100.

Not surprisingly my partner was unhappy and asked for an explanation to why it was going to be so much. He was told the track rod has ceased, whilst adjusting the tie rod the mechanic unwound it from the steering rack end by mistake. He said he couldn't give the car back as it was now unsafe to drive, they tried to put it back together.

Before bringing the car to merityre the only thing it needed was the tracking doing and was perfectly safe to drive.

My biggest objection is that no point did anybody phone us to discuss any issues discovered whilst we weren't on the premisses, nor did anyone discuss it in detail about rates with my partner whilst he sat in your reception for 2 hours. The customer services at the Witney branch are appalling.

My partner said he wasn't willing to pay as the car only came in for the tracking, to which he was told he couldn't have his keys back. The rear tyres hadn't even been touched. Not getting anywhere my partner offered to give them £50 and call it a day. After some mediation by a mechanic who had the best customer services skill out of everyone there, we were told to take the keys with no charge but this certain mechanic would never work on my partners car again.

We walked away annoyed but at least we weren't charged a ridiculous price for work that wasn't expected to be carried out.

On driving the car home the tracking feels a lot worse and bordering on dangerous.

I now need to take my car to another garage to get the work rectified merit tyres will not pay for the work, and we're happy to try and charge me for making my car worse after speaking to Arnold from head branch of merit tyres he has not tried to fix this problem so I am now going to have to go to trading standards. I'm just glad I did not take my car there for any complicated work as I would probably be left with a car I cannot drive.

The chaps at Merityre in ABINGDON are second to none. Lots of very poor service out there, especially from the bigger firms, but not here. Took my car for new tyres recently and was so impressed that I've since returned twice more. Only a shame they don't do MOT testing. Cannot speak for the company as a whole, but the staff at this branch are great.

Charged £45 just to fit 2 tyres to new alloy wheels. Almost double the price of every other garage I've ever used! Only used merityre as open on Sunday and needed my car asap. Daylight robbery!

I’ve used merit tyres a few times now and am very impressed with the price, knowledge, and attitude of all the staff at their purley depot , they are a cracking bunch of lads , if there is any thing I have to knock them for is it’s a bit of a wait , but to be honest , slow and sure , not rush and regret , so at least I know my tyres are fitted properly , a big thanks also for checking my tracking drives bang on now ! I recently blew out a tyre on my rental car late in the afternoon. Richard at the Bookham branch kindly let me use his telephone (I'm American - no UK cell phone) to call the rental repair service. When it appeared that they weren't going to do anything until the next morning, he and his crew stayed after hours to put a new tyre on. He really helped us out. I also noticed his excellent treatment of his other customers. Outstanding service.

Visited the Hook depot last week as it is the nearest tyre fitter to home. I had a puncture on a run flat. I usually use Protyre in Bracknell and have done so since 2005. It was a Friday and they appeared busy. The customer service was good considering the 'pressure' they appeared to be under (you could sense it!). I was advised I needed a new tyre and was offered a Bridgestone or Pirelli. I wasn't quoted a price or other tyres (nor did I ask). I should have asked. I think a customer should be quoted before agreeing to work. I waited in the reception area while the work was carried out, pleasant enough, with TV, drinks/snacks and air conditioning. However, the management of incoming calls to reception seemed wanting. Lots of different people milling about but at times the speed of answering the phone was painfully slow. I'm more used to seeing someone permanently on reception duty and quoting and invoicing at the same time. I had asked to be informed of the cause of the puncture and was advised it was a split, possibly caused by deflation, when the job card was brought through. I was not shown the damaged tyre (usually I am shown my damaged/worn tyres). When presented with the invoice it was more expensive than I thought it would be but the job was done professionally under 'emergency' conditions, so I accepted that in the circumstances. My 3 Stars (Average) is attributed, in the main, to 'Value for Money'.

I have used the Little Chalfont branch of Merit Tyres for almost 20 years during which time the service has been nothing other than outstanding. Price competitive and informative in the context of routine maintenance and in particular tyre condition. Staff have always been courteous and, most recently yesterday, willing to check tyre pressures at no cost.

Last week i have visited merit tyre sunbury for full geometry after changing front shock absorbers,van drove perectly before the visit,after leaving the shop it started pulling to the left and was turning right on straight steering,inside of the rear tyres started wearing out after 40 miles and front left tyre started fethering,decided to have the geometry checked at FTC FELTHAM(highly recommended)the whole geometry was completely out and discovered damage to rear wheels toe bolts after one of the staff been using open ended spanner on tight/seized bolts to adjust it,i have recieved the full refund but they still denied doing anything wrong!rude and ignorant...
