I was told by my landlord that I should check these guys out as she had a very good arrangement with them. When I phoned them they told me that I had to use them because the have a reward program in place in my landlord. I was surprised that my landlord could get kickbacks from power companies, but signed up anyway.

I moved into my new place only to receive a scary bill 3 days later... I contacted them and was told that I'd been billed for 2 months of power as the previous people had moved out 2 months earlier. I advised them that any power use prior to my time has nothing to do with me. They responded with that it was being charged at an average usage rate for the past two months as they believe they had missed out on profits over this time. I then referred this to the obesmen who resolved the issue of being charged for 2 months of power consumption. Then I received a bill for access fees prior to my contract. Again went to the obesmen and had this resolved. Now they want to back charge for two months based on my average use, which they say is doing me a favour as I use less power than the last tenants. Again I will fight this as I am not paying for power prior to my time.

The obesmen advised me that I have to use this company for power as they have a kick back with my landlord in place. I think it's shocking that in a deregulated market this sort of thing is allowed to go on!!! I also object to the very high rates they are charging and that there is no off peak rates. My suggestion is to stay well clear of these guys and don't be shy in getting the obesmen involved as its your only chance in fighting these guys....

Metered Energy are the most expensive experience in energy bills I have ever experienced in over 25 years of renting in Brisbane. I lived at Bowen Hills with my partner in a one bedroom apartment on a high floor with good breezes so we didn't need to utilise air-con frequently. Our average bills per month were exorbitant and considering that over a 3 week period where I was out of the country and also working away from home, my bill over that month was unexplainably higher than other months...and I wasn't even there. Try not to move into a building that requires you to utilise them. We have since moved out of that building.

Horrible company, moved out of my apartment and over 7days of not living there, they claimed I used 380L of hot water. After lots of complaint and threatening to take it further they dismissed the bill. Please check your bill closely if it doesn't look right then complain.

Live in a one bedroom apartment with one fridge, tv, computer, only use air conditioning when needed. $400 a MONTH. First power bill was $1300 and when questioned I was told the bill was correct. Family friends down the road with full 4 bedroom house using air conditioning, pool, lights and appliances in every room constantly barely pay $400 a quarter. Don’t know how it’s legal, and the complex I’m in only offers this energy supplier. Absolutely deplorable. DO NOT USE!

Bill come out irregularly, sometimes 6 minutes months between monthly bills sometimes twice a month. Extremely overpriced and are always increasing rates.
Cannot change providers as my apartment complex uses them.

Metered energy installed a meter that caught fire and caused me to lose power for 7 days. When they finally arrived to fix the meter after over 20 phone calls they tried to charge me for the replacement. They also offered no compensation for the loss of power for a week. They are without a doubt the worst energy supplier I have ever had the great displeasure of dealing with.

I have been with ME for nearly two years now, both in my business and in my home. I have found the service to be of the highest standard, there have been times where I have gone through financial hardships and ME staff have been............ well incredible actually. They can not do enough to assist me, they have been so supportive, loving and kind in their approach when dealing with me, through these times, I am so grateful to ME and their staff, just fantastic!! Highly recommend, brilliant service and they go the extra mile every time!!!!!

Our bills went from $140 a month to nearly $500 with ridiculous fees and random separate billing. Most recently they decided that despite us barely using it, that we owed $373 for our air conditioning chilled water on top of our regular bill. This was after they changed our billing to quarterly 3 times in a row after us setting it to monthly. Now we have to move house or incur huge debt. Don't use them!

I have been forced to use this company through management at my town house, I have been billed every 3 months since being here one bill $214 the second $400 both in a two month period and that’s with my self and a two year old more then doubled then when I was using other electricity providers! I rung to get an understanding and the so called manager repeated her self over and over because she obviously did know anything else!!

My power bill is always about 500 or above, even though my local area is on average 260 for the quarter.

The service is terrible and i will never go with them again!

I first thought my bill was high, gave them a call and the people where really good, explained things to me and it all made sense (running the heater every night really adds up
