Terrible company
Quote low to get the sale then sting you with another bill 3 weeks later when the boxes should be in my chosen Country. They send a driver to collect the boxes in a van too small to carry my boxes then he has to cram them in the van. Customer service is good until they’ve got the booking then all downhill from there. No Aftersales service whatsoever all take take take. Boxes arrived in appalling condition. I would never use this company again

I moved at the end of August 2019 with this Company, a very unreliable Firm. The boxes were all half ripped, and several things were Broken.One Box is still Missing with my Medication for half a year. I had to get my Nephew to pick up the Boxes, because they didn't deliver. The Driver could'nt drive through, because of the height of the gate. No Response from them at all!!! SCAM!!!!!

Made the mistake (in hindsight) to hire this company to move 4 large boxes from the UK to the US and back. Luckily, they subcontracted it to DHL (of course without telling me), which ended up being probably a good thing. I specifically asked for an insurance, thinking that I would be safe with that and knowing how moving companies usually work...
From the UK to the US, things were OK. Nothing to complain. On the way back, half a year later, a well packed monitor got damaged. I filed the insurance complaint in August and asked every 4 weeks. I was told twice that it's still with the insurance company. Then silence in October. No response to my emails. Until today, when this Stuart Hall at least sent an email, declaring that Movecorp having gone bankrupt.
Of course, the website is still live and running, as other noted. I guess I can consider myself lucky, as I have only lost my colour-calibrated monitor and nothing else. But it is clear from all the reviews on this site, that nobody who cares about their possessions, should hire this company.

After obtaining three quotes I decided to get MoveCorp to do my household removal from London to Nice in France. The move was scheduled to start on 25th March 2019 and be completed on 1st April. The move was eventually completed 23rd May.
1. I initially sent a list of items to be removed so that MoveCorp could estimate the price and size of the removal truck. They estimated this to be 750 cubic feet.
2. They contracted with a removal company. I thought they did the actual removal, but it turned out that they were just project managers. My fundamental mistake, as all contact with the removers had to be via MoveCorp – slow and very inefficient.
3. The truck that came to clear the flat had a capacity of 1000 cubic feet. They had, however, failed to complete an earlier delivery thus reducing the capacity to 750 cubic feet.
4. It turned that the load was just under 1000 cubic feet, so the removal company could not take all the contents. This was a problem as I had to hand over the keys to the purchaser of the flat the next day.
5. MoveCorp was not able to secure another removal truck the next day so arranged with a courier to take the remaining 250 cubic meters. The courier came in a small van on 26th March complaining that he had not been told there was so much to be removed. He called a friend with a larger truck. I had to help load the vans as I had a deadline for handing over the keys.
6. They completed the removal as I was out to meet the purchaser, but they left some items that should have been removed. My sister picked these up to then be collected from her London flat, and thus my flat was cleared.
7. Both loads collected on 25th and 26th March were taken to a depot in Dartford for transfer to Nice.
8. A load arrived in Nice on 4th April. It became clear, however, that only the first load taken from my London flat was delivered. I called MoveCorp who explained that items collected by the courier from the London flat were still in Dartford.
9. MoveCorp advised that the second load would be delivered to Nice on 10th April. It didn’t turn up and was delivered instead to a depot about 15 miles from Nice. I again contacted MoveCorp who advised that they would not be delivered to Nice for another two to three weeks. They suggested I could use a local remover and MoveCorp would reimburse me. I arranged this at a cost of €465 and the items were delivered on 23rd April.
10. I then submitted claim to MoveCorp for the €465. Despite many phone calls and emails (most of which were not answered) I am still waiting to be reimbursed and it is now 11th October – more than 5 months after the claim was made.
11. The items left from the removal and taken by my sister were eventually delivered on 23rd May.

I moved from UK to Dubai and they lost 4 boxes of my belongings.I spent weeks, maybe months trying to get an answer from them. I just got aggressive answers in return (I think her name was Michelle) and took zero responsibility for the loss of my 4 boxes of stuff.
Well if it's not their responsibility and I paid them to move it all, whose responsibility is it? Don't waste your time with this joke of a company.
Never retrieved my 4 boxes to date.......

P.S I think the 5 star ratings are paid for....

Second time I use Movecorp to move between UK and Sweden. Very happy with their services - fast, reliable and good value. Personal service including several phone calls to check all is in order. Driver helped carry all the stuff up to the drop off point. Next time I’ll measure my shipment more carefully though as I think I could have fit more into the shipment!

From the first time I enquired about shipping items to Spain Christian Woodhall could not have been more helpful he guided me through the whole process and was always at the end of the phone if I had enquiry. Although i did have some issues regarding my delivery which were not the fault of Movecorp they did everything they could to resolve the issues and I would definitely use them again

Excellent communication both in the UK before and after the collection from Christian and also from our delivery driver before the drop off in Spain.

Don,t use them, What a worst company, our luggage is some where in UK to be shipped to Canada its been 6 weeks since we posted our luggage and it is still in transit in UK, the lady dealing with us Chloe is gone quite probably she has no answer for us, worst company, worst customer service, looking to contact ombudsman now,

I booked a removal from the UK to Switzerland. The pick-up happened smoothly. They promised my goods to arrive within 10 days. It took them 5 days extra and had to email my move co-ordinator constantly to try and get more information on where my goods were. She could not come up with an answer. In the end, we were contacted by the local depot directly because our boxes had been sitting there for 3 days. And she had absolutely no clue of this. Then the worst came, we opened the plastic wrapping our boxes to find every single box ripped to shreds and our things hanging out of them. It looked like someone had had a football game with them. It, of course, has resulted in stuff being broken/lost. And I am currently trying to make a claim, to which they say it's not their fault... Simply awfull service. I DO NOT RECOMMEND

I was moving from UK to India originally got quoted for 750 cubic feet, and goods were packed and taken from my house. Then I was told that the volume was higher and I needed to ay another £450 , which I did.
Once the customs were cleared , i was was told that the India partners have said that the volume is even higher , and I need to pay another £701 .
I was shocked at the sky rocketing of cost and at how my luggage could possibly increase so much in volume , especially after it was already measured twice in UK. No help or explanation was supplied.
I have paid the exttra amount 2 weeks ago and MOVECORP has still not released my shipment.
Poor Customer service and a lot of heart ache for us , who have now waited 4 MONTHS for our luggage.
NIGHTMARE

Movecorp and particularly Kirsty James from the Burntwood office were brilliant in helping with our move. We had a number of last minute cancellations but this caused no problems. When we finally moved it was with only 24 hours notice but Kirsty was still able to help us. The two chaps who helped with the move couldn’t have been more helpful. I would definitely recommend Movecorp to handle any house move.

We’ve just used MoveCorp for the second time to move furniture to France - birth experiences were stress free and well managed.
Christian was extremely attentive and helpful juggling the challenge of a pick up from South Wales with out us being there and delivering to South West France - without us being there either.

I arranged for my items to be removed from a house I sold and put into storage for what turned out to be 12 months. The items were then removed from storage and put into our new house. Both teams who removed the items and then took the the items out of storage were excellent with great attitudes and excellent customer service. Well done & thanks MoveCorp

Been told that movecorp is now trading as removals.co.uk and have been looking through various sites and have come to the conclusion that the majority of 5 star reviews have got to be fake.

I have tried contacting most of the names, probably made up, on these sites and not one of the 5 stars have gotten back to me. I even wrote that I was interested in their opinion as I was looking to use company. Five days on and not one email reply out of around 60 contacts??

Speaks for itself I suppose, be wary of review sites.

I would like say a huge ‘Thank You’ to Matt Buttle and his team at Movecorp Ltd for making it possible for me to move my household and home improvement items to Varna, Bulgaria. Organisation and logistics aren’t an easy thing to put together, especially on your own from the UK; but with Matt Buttle, he kept everything running smooth right to the very end.

This is the second time we have used Movecorp, the first time for our relocation to France and this time for our return to England.
Our chap on the end of the phone was Stuart Hall and he was extremely friendly, helpful and efficient at managing a move that had to be arranged unseen and from a distance.
Our removal van arrived exactly when expected and Lee and Chris swung effortlessly into action! We cannot stress enough how willing, cheerful and efficient these lads were! They loaded the heaviest boxes, largest mirrors and even a massive garden ornament with ease, despite the heatwave that was causing temperatures of 40 degrees c.
We were so grateful to Movecorp for making a stressful and difficult move easy!
We would definitely recommend this company.

I had to move my boxes from London to Bournemouth. I requested an online quote and a phone call via their website. Michelle contacted me, she was very friendly and helpful. She gave me the quote, answered all of my queries and adjusted it to my needs after discussing what I had to move and when. Overall, I am very happy and satisfied with the move, everything ran smoothly and I had nothing to worry about. Would 100% recommend and use again.

From our coordinator Christian to Anthony's moving team, our experience with Movecorp has been outstanding. Super helpful, friendly, professional and good humoured, in spite of scorching weather and long traveling distance. Most impressive of all they somehow managed to make a complicated move overseas as stress-free as can be. They were very accommodating with our dates and timelines, too. And the price was spot on.
