had a temperpedic for years and didn't want to spend another $3000 on a bed.I bought a novosbed and its great. I bought it because of the comfort topper option, but didn't need it in the end. It started out firmer than the 15 year old temperpedic, but got a little softer, or maybe I got used to it. either way, very happy with it.

After trying a less expensive bed-in-a-box for their 90 day trial, I still never got a good night's sleep. At first it seemed firm enough, but in the ENDY, it was too soft. I debated giving any on-line purchased bed another shot, but then I discovered Novosbed and their Comfort+ option and extended sleep trial - and I figured I had nothing to lose. I am SO happy that I tried Novosbed. Instantly, I knew this bed was in a different league. It is heavier, feels more solid and give better support. No surprise really seeing as it is almost twice the price. But my philosophy is you get what you pay for, and a quality bed like this should be an investment. The price should not deter you from buying this bed, particularly given the fact that you could pay double that from a traditional retailer for a bed of this quality. The fact that you can choose various firmness levels and then adjust up or down with the Comfort + addition, and the free trial, eliminates any "risk" of making a bad decision. The order came in 3 days and I live in a rural area! The ordering process was smooth and efficient and my dealings with their customer service has been excellent. Do yourself the favour and buy this bed. You won't regret it.

I purchased my Novosbed firm queen mattress and boxspring in Oct. 2017. The Novosbed website is very informative and has a nice layout. The ordering process was very simple. I even emailed a question to Customer Service about suitable bases and I received a friendly and helpful response very quickly. Shipping and Delivery of my bed and boxspring was quick (approx 1 week). I had my bed and boxspring unwrapped and assembled in about 1 hour. Sleeping on my bed has been great. No complaints at all. It’s been past a month now and i’m asking myself why I didn’t change my mattress before. No more pain, I woke up like I had the body I used to have at 20 years old. I got the firm mattress even if i’m only 170 pounds and I absolutely love it. Next thing you got to do is get a good sheet set to fit the foam, I absolutely love my “liquid cotton 500 thread count”, and of course a really good pillow.

I have had my Novosbed now for a year and am so happy I finally dropped my waterbeds I have been sleeping on for 40 years. I bought the Harmony which was the soft bed since I was used to a waterbed.
I did love my waterbeds but love my new bed even more. More comfortable and much easier to take care of. The dog loves it too of course, haha.
I was a bit scared about ordering a bed online but I am so glad I took the chance, it has worked out great. Good job guys and great customer service from Gaille. She talked me through it all and helped me confirm the right choice of which bed to get.

I spent weeks researching foam mattresses, read hundreds of reviews...agonized over making a decision. Armed with information overload. I knew I did not want one made in China and would prefer buying from a Canadian supplier. Deciding on which firmness to chose was difficult because of the differences in our weights (220 & 150 lbs) but Novosbed's no strings 120 night trial helped on that front. As it turned out, the medium firmness is perfect: firm but not hard. We have both had the best nights' sleeps in years since getting this mattress and I think it is for 2 reasons. Firstly, no soreness from pressure points meaning reduced tossing and turning. And secondly, less disturbed sleep from the other person getting up in the middle of the night because there is very little movement transferred through the mattress. Previously, with the other mattress, I would wake 100% of the time because it was like an earthquake hit when my husband got back into bed. Seriously, no exaggeration. Among the many reviews I read for many other brands, I noted some of the same issues would arise: the mattress is too warm to sleep on, it releases a chemical odour, the edge sags when sitting on it, and it's too hard. Neither my husband nor I have any issues with these 4 oft complained about characteristics with our Novosbed. We were pleased with the mattress right from the very first night.

My son doesn’t move around like he did with his previous mattress. He is much more comfortable and isn’t getting up through the night. His sleeping improved from the first night and hasn’t changed in 3 months.
I will be getting one for my husband and me when our mattress is ready to be replaced. The price point can’t be beat and the quality is second to none.

This is an honest account of my wife/my experience after owning the mattress for a couple of years now.

First of all, let me just say that the company/customer service/information provided is honest, accurate, and very professional. We take no issues with the service as provided. The price is also very comparable to the market. The bed itself is as advertised in regards to firmness (not too hard, not too soft), and it's also not too hot like many memory foam mattresses can be. There is/was minimal off-gassing odor, and we both feel as though the bed is as durable today as it was when we bought it.

While my wife (33 years old) and I (36 years old) were excited to purchase this mattress (Queen/Med Firm) due to back and neck problems; we can honestly say that after 2 + years, our problems have gotten worse. In fact, we are now both going to the chiropractor for the 1st time in our lives. I am not necessarily attributing this to the bed itself (could just be age starting to set in), however by no means did the bed help to alleviate any back or neck pain in any way whatsoever (we are both side sleepers). Our main reason for purchasing this bed was to alleviate pain and get a more rested night of sleep, so in that regard this bed failed on both levels. I'd also like to note that the comfort+ option was not available when we first purchased the bed, maybe that would've helped our situation, though I am not sure.

In our experience, if you are looking to purchase a comfortable bed and have zero issues with neck/back pain, it's definitely worth the trying for the trial period. However, I would not recommend it for side sleepers with back/neck pain. We spent $900 (or so) dollars hoping to solve (or at least help a little) with our problem, and now are going to have to spend more $$ on a new mattress.

After posting our review, we were contacted by Novosbed and were very satisfied with the additional amount of customer service we received. This just tells me that if you are thinking of buying from this company, you have nothing to lose. They stand by their product. Thanks again for being a decent and honest company.

As strange as it may be to live in a mattress-in-a-box world, this is 2016 and the future is even more comfortable than the past. I was hesitant, but after reviewing other competitors and weighing my options, I decided to go with the Novosbed soft.

The mattress itself is like sleeping on a cloud, and I feel like it only gets more and more comfortable every night. The softness is consistent across the entire mattress and I don't find myself sinking in at the center more than the sides. It's the perfect level of comfort for a side and back sleeper like me, without too much depth that makes it tough getting out of bed.

Ordered the king size Novosbed Medium over two months ago. Bed arrived in three days which is impressive considering the size of the mattress. Super easy to unpack and was ready to sleep on in a matter of hours. This bed is amazing! Unlike anything I've slept before, except for five-star hotels where the mattress cost an arm and a leg. I used to wake up numerous times throughout the night, tossing and turning but now I'm its only a handful of times. Like I said, I got the medium and it turned out to be perfect. Not to hard like I'm on a concrete slab and not to soft like I'm sinking. Would recommend this to others!

I bought the Novosbed Soft, California king size after trying out the Leesa mattress of the same size and finding it too firm. I am a side sleeper and I found that my arm would fall asleep from the shoulder down, and I would wake up with a sore back. I'm also quite tall, 6'3" or 189cm, and only way about 180 pounds / 72kg and I'm pretty sure I have a low muscle or bone density, because I don't seem to weigh a lot for how much volume I take up, so I think I was really just too long or too light for the Leesa mattress to be comfortable a side sleeper.

The Novosbed Soft was much better, although not perfect. I tried it for three weeks without a topper, but felt it was still just a bit too soft so I asked for the soft Comfort+ mattress topper, which they sent out immediately. Unfortunately the first Comfort+ topper arrived with some manufacturing defects (the aeration holes were not consistently punched into the foam), but after sending a couple of pictures of its condition and of the barcodes on the box, Novosbed immediately sent a replacement which arrived quickly. After adding the topper, which took about half an hour and was no more difficult changing sheets and a duvet cover, the bed is just right! I sleep more soundly and now when I wake up in the morning, instead of my back being stiffer and in more pain than when I went to bed, it's always better than the night before.

I thought a memory/gel foam also might get too hot, but that didn't prove to be the case at all, even with the topper and even though I sink into the mattress much more than most (as I prefer a soft bed). And even though there was that slight memory foam feel of sinking in comfortably and being "hugged", the soft mattress with the soft topper was actually quite responsive and I didn't feel like I got stuck in a rut – I can gently/slightly roll around without tending to roll back toward the spot where I was just lying.

I purchased a Novos Mattress in October of 2016. The first several months the mattress slept well, but as time went on I felt it needed to be a little softer. I contacted the company to get the complementary topper that was offered to soften the mattress. Talking with the representative she stated that my trial period had ended and that I would have to purchase the topper. My trial ended on February 4 and I called them on May 9. My trial had ended 3 months earlier, it not like it had been 3 years. I guess once the mattress is paid for and trial is over they could care less about your satisfaction.

From the first night I slept on my Douglas mattress, I have had the best sleep ever! Prior to owning my Douglas mattress, I had purchased a very expensive mattress set worth well over $5000 and never could get a good night sleep. My back was always sore. But not so with the Douglas mattress, I cannot say enough good things about my Douglas. We had an extreme heat wave this summer and my mattress never felt hot despite temperatures soaring at night to 31°. Despite the fact that I live with chronic pain, I must say that my Douglas mattress is the most comfortable I have ever owned. The best recommendation I can give the Douglas mattress is the fact that I look forward to buying other mattresses for other rooms in my house. Try it you will not regret it !!!

I was actually about to copy and paste the review I left at Amazon but figured I'd write this review based on the questions asked when leaving it on this site (My name shows up as Alex R on Amazon if you'd like to see that review).

So, first question is about the cost of Novosbed products. I bought the queen sized firm mattress, which is several thousand dollars less than comparable mattresses I researched when looking for a new bed. I think that covers cost.

As far as shopping at Novosbed.com in the future, there's not much more I need but when it's time to upgrade to a King sized bed from Queen, I'll definitely be revisiting their site. Though they do have a duvet and some nice looking memory foam pillows, so I'll probably be back sooner.

Customer service, is becoming a more important thing all the time it seems cause it's getting harder to find good support. I contacted customer service at Novosbed only a few times, and with quick questions but they always got back with me quickly and with the response I was looking for. Including a no hassle contact about getting the Comfort+ for my mattress, at no charge!

Shipping is free...I mean, you can't really complain about that. Unless your package arrives somewhere else...which didn't happen, so it's great.

I've never been to this site before btw, so I'm not sure if they show this little box saying Novosbed asked me to write this review. They did, but I'd also like to point out I left a review before they contacted me about leaving another...and guess what, that also had 5 stars.

I have the queen soft with the comfort plus topper to add a bit of firmness . It is PERFECT. Probably the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in . Some great features that i LOVE: The mattress cover fits perfectly. The topper zips in so there is no sliding/moving and it is all one piece. I love the feel of the mattress cover and the look of it. The soft mattress felt just a bit too soft for me so adding the topper made it just right. I wanted comparable to the Temperpedic cloud supreme and this feels pretty close at a fraction of the price. Oh yes , that's the other feature i LOVE: the price! Even my husband,who is a great skeptic, about buying a mattress on line was and is impressed by this bed. One of the best purchases ever. One word of caution though when you first get it let it air out over night before you sleep in it. We slept in it the first night and woke up with major headaches. After that first night though no problems and no smell.

Great 5 star mattress and topper. Soft as we could get it and couldn't be happier with our purchase. Great for sleeping g and just laying in bed watching tv and reading. Definitely spend more time in the bedroom because of it.

We bought this mattress for our 12 year old daughter who is physically and mentally disabled and cannot speak. She was recently diagnosed with severe scoliosis, kyphosis, and lordosis. We felt terrible that her fussing for hours at night for a few months was an indication that she was terribly uncomfortable even on her already new and semi-expensive Kingsdown mattress. It unfortunately took us a few months to realize what was happening to her body. After a bit of research l figured out memory foam is the route most recommended for unfused and mild to moderate-severe scoli backs. We are trying to avoid fusion surgery for her as its negative side effects far outweigh any real benefits for her at this time. At first I looked at tempurpedic mattresses but quickly came across review sites for other top brand memory foam companies like Novosbed. It was so a relief to know that helping reduce our childs discomfort and improve her quality of life wasn't going to bankrupt us. It didn't take long to settle on Novosbed through its impressive and consistently high reviews and impressive comfort guarantees! A company must be pretty confident in the quality of their product to back it up above and beyond the memory foam average guarantees. She has been really enjoying her new bed. We feel relieved that her level of discomfort has been reduced to zero removing the urgency we were feeling, pre-Novosbed, for high risk/low success medical treatments to resolve her issues. So now we can take our time to decide whats really the right plan for her spinal future while pursuing non invasive more natural solutions and with Novosbed help we are finally hopeful for a spinal-fusion-free future! We don't hear a peep from her anymore after bedtime and often she's so comfortable shes content to lay in bed in the mornings and wait for the morning chaos to pass before calling to be retrieved. I regularly find other family members taking their turns curled up in her bed and have made it clear they want one also.

I do most of our shopping online due to how rural we live and the shipping with Novosbed was very quick compared to most of what I have shipped. I loved that shipping was included too. I hate having to search around for shipping prices to decide if a product is still worth the cost. Free shipping made the process of selection easy.

Customer service at Novosbed was also awesome and very understanding and seemed genuinely committed to their customers.

We purchased the Novosbed (firmness level: soft) in king size in November 2016. We had a full-sized bed previously and a pillow-top mattress that left both of us unable to sleep soundly through the night, mostly to space issues and lack of motion isolation. My wife and I are of two quite different sizes (~ 100 lb and ~200 lb) and we had two primary concerns regarding a mattress: overall comfort and movement isolation. We chose Novosbed after reading many reviews of the out of the box mattresses – Novosbed stood out because of their choice of firmness, offer of toppers to adjust firmness level after 30 days, and positive customer reviews online. We felt that the company offered the best selection of products to ensure we ended up with a mattress that was perfect for us. The Novosbed mattress arrived as expected and packaging adequately protecting it during shipment. After opening, the mattress ‘inflated’ to expected size and shape uniformly and within just a few minutes. All corners gained full shape and the mattress looked ready to use in less than 5 minutes. We were able to sleep on it the same night. We found the firmness level (we chose soft) to be perfect – although my wife took about a week of ‘breaking it in’ to where the mattress felt perfectly and didn’t feel like it pressed on her body when she was on her side. Movement isolation is quite remarkable - we cannot feel each other tossing and turning or leaving the bed in the middle of the night. We are extremely pleased with the mattress and enjoy restful nights on our new mattress. We considered getting the topper after 30 days, just in case, but the bed is so comfortable we keep forgetting to order it. The bed does sleep warmer than our previous mattress – a thin quilt-type will be a must in warmer months and even during cold nights the regular comforter felt too warm. We are pleased with the purchase and would recommend the mattress and the company.
