Don't even think about making constructive suggestions about Oils4life.co.uk shipping rates, their prices or their customer "service"!

This is the response we got, after daring to ask why Oils4life.co.uk shipping prices are so high, (in our opinion of course) and asking why many of their prices had increased so much and in some cases DOUBLED, since 2017 and asking why we had to wait TWO WEEKS to get a reply from Oils4life.co.uk, which we have experienced before!

"I am not aware that you have not received the support or customer service that you would expect in terms of processing your orders or responding to any technical queries that you may have had?

In terms of needing to justify the ins and outs of our business and our pricing to you, I wasn’t aware this was an obligation – its definitely not in our terms and conditions. You have no idea what is going on in our industry, our supply chain or our business. Product pricing and shipping charges are not your concern – you either want to buy from Oils4life or you don’t – I have no concern either way.

If you are getting better customer service/support elsewhere then I would encourage you (in fact I insist!) you buy from them point forward."

We were then told:

"We will miss you. All the best…"

Six days later:

"YOUR ORDERS WILL NOT BE PROCESSED so don’t waste your time placing them.
Your account has been deleted. You have been removed from the newsletters and if your name appears anywhere else it will be removed :-)"

Now that's customer "service"! :-)

Oils4life.co.uk Review

We've been customers of Oils4Life.co.uk since 2017. Initially we found Oils4Life.co.uk prices to be attractive. We bought several orders from them over the years and sometimes had problems. However, during this time, we have noticed that Oils4Life.co.uk prices for many organic essential oils, have increased dramatically. In some cases, they are double what they used to be in 2017, which is why we buy far less now. Unfortunately Oils4Life.co.uk customer service leaves much to be desired, in our experience anyway. Don't expect a prompt response and expect to follow up, to get an answer. Recently we sent an email, making constructive suggestions about Oils4Life.co.uk high shipping costs and prices generally. We had to wait TWO WEEKS for a reply and that only after we had followed up. The same has happened in the past as well, with other problems, such as bottles leaking, delivery not received etc. We received a brusk response from Oils4Life.co.uk management and they told us, after a couple of email exchanges: "Product pricing and shipping charges are not your concern you either want to buy from Oils4life or you don't I have no concern either way. If you are getting better customer service/support elsewhere then I would encourage you (in fact I insist!) you buy from them point forward." This is an absolute first for us. No company or individual has ever written that to us. What kind of "customer service" is this? We were shocked by these comments, in particular as we have spent a lot of time in the past, to email and share many constructive comments and suggestions, particularly in 2017, with their dysfunctional web site at the time! And this is the appreciation we receive! Clearly Oils4Life.co.uk must feel that they too much business, if they can write such comments to loyal and helpful customers such as us.

The staff were very unhelpful, rude and their website was unclear as to their products and services. Speaking to the owner was not of much help either. The quality of their products is below par and bottles were leaking when received.

I have used this company before and found their delivery slow despite them stating that orders are typically delivered within 2-3 days but my latest order was still not delivered after three weeks. Their reply to my email sent two weeks after ordering, requesting a status update took three days with them blaming Royal Mail, the pandemic and bad weather for the delay and asking me to wait a few days as their tracking showed it was still in transit, this is strange as their dispatch email states "Unfortunately we cannot offer a tracking service for Royal Mail" four days later I sent a second email, then a third after a further three days, there was no response to either of these. Added to what I consider very bad customer service, at least on of their policies is illegal under UK law "Please note that any requests for refunds (due to parcels being returned to Oils4life) will result in the original shipping charge being discounted from the refund. Where free delivery has been allocated on the original order a charge of £4.95 GBP will be applied for UK Mainland (inc Northern Ireland) orders" under UK law all refunds for returned items from a UK address must be paid in full, including postage and the postage charge cannot be deducted from a refund when the item/s have been sent out with free postage

Great from a delivery point of view - rubbish at sorting a problem. I have done EO's for over 14 year I know what I am doing. Spent £500 and they wouldn't sort a £35 oil we had a problem with. In it's self not a problem as I was really trying to advise them it had a problem. It was all my fault apparently and they only have a 14 day warranty. 'Don't know what you did my love, but we have never had a problem before.' No neither have I that's why I am telling you. Back to my old supplier - in 14 years I never had an oil go solid.

This firm do a superb range of products from Organic essential oils, soaps, and base oils, through to some of the packaging you may want to use. Delivery is prompt, and they are very good value for money.

Have ordered many times online for my personal use and I am always very happy with my order quality and always packed well/dispatched quickly. I can't comment on customer service as I have never had need to contact them. The only thing I would suggest is maybe free samples in larger orders or for regular customers or some sort of loyalty deal for returning customers.

The information on the website is incomplete, the staff are unhelpful, rude and go on the defensive when you try to speak with them regarding the issues, as is the owner who said her name was Rachel when she called in response to the call back I had requested, and then proceeded to speak to me in an offensive manner and without allowing me the opportunity to speak or discuss the matters I had concern about she proceeded to bang the phone on me. I was sold bottles without caps and, the website did not state that you had to buy the caps separately. Their oils are below standard, the oil had dripped onto the packaging. Really concerned and upset about the manner in which my order has been handled and dealt with.

The receptionist needs to be more polite to her customers. Very rude in my opinion

We searched online and found that this business has an active Facebook page with 990 followers. From our experience this can indicate that the business is either not actively engaged with online communication or is new and growing. We have discovered that this business has SSL (secure sockets layer), which means that this business handles your data, such as personal information or credit card details, with secure connection. We found that the domain for this business is older than two years which could be an indication that this is a trustworthy business with an established customer base and experience in their field. We found that this business has an Instagram page, where they communicate with their customers using images and videos. This is usually an indication that the business has some visual aspects that it wants to showcase.
