Packaging/Customer Service: Several items have arrived broken (only the ones in One Kings Lane boxes). There was a period I received 5...FIVE broken items. IN.A.ROW. Customer Service did not care. They didn't apologize or take ownership a single time. You're told to look for an email from them and to send pictures as proof. They then respond telling you someone will "investigate" and follow up. They never did follow up, but I ended up with a refund. Guess that's ok.
Pricing: I bought a pair of lamps from One Kings Lane for over $200 dollars. I love the lamps, they arrived just fine and are good quality, HOWEVER, I found the same pair of lamps on Overstock for $70 less.
Based on pricing, advertising, and marketing, One Kings Lane wants to have an upscale approach to their home offerings, and I respect that. My advice to OKL would be this; upscale is a feeling, not a price. In order to be upscale you have to deliver a much higher standard of service quality to your customer than what you offer today. Refusing to provide service excellence eliminates your shot of ever being upscale. Your status will remain where it is today, expensive.
SHE KEPT DEMANDING PHOTOS AND WOULD DO NOTHING WITHOUT THEM. IT WAS A NIGHTMARE FOR ME TO TRY AND GET THEM TO HER. ONE SHE GOT ANOTHER SHE DID NOT.
They wont take any responsibility for anything. Nothing without photos. They put everything on you!!
Then i sent them additional info to not send two pieces of art and they sent them out anyway then wanted to try and charge me a restock fee. !! A lamp also defective. Hairline cracks in the base. Ridiculous. I sent photos of this as well. The end table not in a million broken glass pieces. The drawer knob pull wont pull the drawer out at allland is semi detached from the drawer. Screw exposed. I would advise NEVER ORDER ANYTHING FROM THIS COMPANY. EVER!
I HAVE SENT A CHARGEBACK THRU MY AMERICAN EXPRESS FOR THE LAMP THEY HAVE CHARGED.
THEY STILL WONT CREDIT MY CREDIT CARD FOR ANYTHING!
SHE WONT RESPOND AFTER I SENT FIVE EMAILS TO HER TO ASK HER TO DO SO.

THEY SAID THEY NEVER GOT ANY OF THE NOTIFICATIONS. I SENT FIVE. REALLY HARD TO BELIEVE THAT.
I HAVE TO REPACK THE ONE TABLE UP AND WAIT TO HEAR FROM THAT JAN FISHER WOMAN ABOUT ALL OF THIS/
SIT AND WAIT AND IN THE MEANTIME ITS ALL ON MY CHARGE CARD .

Have called OKL support twice and emailed twice and still have no resolution. For the two calls I was on hold for 40min (eventually hung up & tried again) and nearly 30 more min before a support rep answered he call. Both emails took a full week before I received a reply. The response I did receive was a canned “we value your business...” email with no detail or follow up re my order. They clearly do not staff their support lines.
OKL has been totally unable/unwilling to resolve something that’s clearly their issue. At this point i’m pursuing options thru my credit card company or possibly small claims court to get a full refund. Frankly, based on my experience and the many similar scathing reviews i’ve seen, OKL seems to be inept at best or fraudulent at worst. I will never place another order with them and will actively share my experience with others so they don’t make a similar mistake.
