Been a member for over 5 years and haven’t lived near a fitness plus for over 3 years. I left because a family memeber became very I’ll very suddenly. Last thing in my mind was canceling a membership. Living hours away from only location and literally states from my original gym. I’ve paid over $3500 and unable to break the contract unless I go to my original gym and cancel in person. Which in turn will cost me thousands anyways. Surely a fax with the write paper work would be enough but no.
Money hungry inhuman business.
Don’t do it!

These guys are terrible... came in for the free first week but then they said well you are better off signing up. They say no lock in contracts but you cant cancel over the phone. Even after my credit card changed they tried to keep billing me and sent it to a debt collector. The gym is also pretty bad. no steppers, limited weights

Went to Wiley park plus fitness to sign up and I was willing to pay upfront for 3 months subscription.

But then, I was informed that it will cost me 18% extra by their working staff and they will not freeze my membership if I happen to take break because it is harder for them to just hold your membership when you pay upfront. They only insisted me to go for direct debit option to get those benefit of holding membership in the event of taking break.

Anyone who sign up for Plus Fitness, please be aware of this terms as they don't disclose it on their website.

You have to give them 2 weeks notice to freeze temporary membership and still get charged for 3 weeks after you give them written notice.

Wish there was Minus -5 stars, they totally deserve it for their dodgy practice even in 2019.

I am a member of this gym for a while and most of the complaints are true.For example,
1) You cannot cancel your membership on phone or email even if you tell them someone overseas died and I had to leave the country.
2) You tell them today that I want to cancel the membership, they will still charge you for the next payment. Even if you paid them the night before you still need to pay the next couple of weeks.
3) Staff has a very bad attitude except for the last lady I met in Wiley Park.
4) I went overseas last year for some emergency and they still kept charging me and even charged me the 15 dollars for rejected payments.
5) Gym is an on-going type of customer service so if you trick people only to sign-up thats a bad business strategy. thanks

I have trained at many plus fitness's across Sydney which i love due to the access to all clubs with one membership, some of them are a little outdated but apart from that I always found the people friendly and the atmosphere great. I like the equipment, plenty of options so you don't need to wait for other users to finish. Overall great gym, friendly service and good prices.

I always left a 5 star feedback for wherever I go but gladsvile is a shame for plus fitness
No air refreshments work,no water coolers,no vending machine and worth the shower looks like untouched for months

Ignorance at its best if you have complaints good luck with you impolite stuff ,some gyms so dirty you’ll step out some don’t have water cooler bathrooms are mostly dirty Gladesville in Sydney bad rydalmere in Sydney as ignorant as they can be there are some good ones they are victims of bad plus fittnes around Sydney I have been in many of them due to nature of my work I don’t recommend it’s $15 a week $60 a month you can find better gym with this price

I went into hospital sick half way through my pregnancy and nearly 10mths old with a child in and out of hospital I am STILL trying to cancel my contract. The clincher is, you have to go in person BUT my local stores manned ours are 1-2 over lunch time daily AND often, there is no one there at all. My baby is not meant to be going out in public so this simply isn't an option for me. I have explained this at length to staff who to be frank, couldn't care less.

I wish I had've stayed with Greenzone- a creche plus it wasn't a mission to cancel when I needed to.

mate this gym is a class brilliant I would 100% recommend if ur in bulking season if u come And waste the equipment or staff get out now before there is trouble plus fitness u have done a well organized company I luv u

One of the best 24 7 gyms around.

They generally have proper area for sleds and also deadlift platforms

It's designed around serious lifters with plenty of diverse machines to go with plenty of cardio equpments

In September 2017, I have decided to stop going to Plus Fitness Sutherland and have called to cancel my membership. During this call, a range of tactics such as being friendly, offering free training etc was offered to prevent me from cancelling my membership. I have insisted on cancelling my membership in this call. Following which, I assumed my membership has been cancelled and my last visit to the gym was 21 September 2017.

It came to my attention recently (more than a year later) that this cancellation was not actioned.

Upon reaching out to the gym, Plus Fitness Sutherland insisted that a Direct Debit Cancellation Form must be completed.

This form was not made available on the website, nor was a copy of the terms and conditions and cancellation procedure provided to me at time of joining the gym. This form was also not mentioned nor did the representative who answered the call explained that this is part of the cancellation procedure.

I feel I've been deliberately misled and disappointed that Plus Fitness Sutherland did not mentioned this at all when I called to cancel, yet chose to deal with it later by quoting terms and conditions on the website, terms and conditions of direct debit agreement and welcome pack; which I did not receive. Despite the advertised "No lock in contract", a clear cancellation procedure and expected timeline is not made available for members to access easily.

I have stopped attending Plus Fitness Sutherland since requesting the cancellation, however close to $1000 continued to be debited from my account. No one would expect this behaviour from a reputable business.

Plus Fitness Sutherland continues to insist that a cancellation form must be completed. Personally I feel a cancellation form at this point is inconsequential; given the deceptive and misleading conduct of their staff during the phone call in September 2017.

I welcome someone from Plus Fitness Headquarters to rectify this unfortunate situation by returning the money that was taken out of my account.

Plus Fitness Lidcombe (2/82 Parramatta Rd, Lidcombe NSW 2141)

I was approached by the Staff member at around 6:30 am (16.12.2019) when I was punching the bag with my barefoot. The guy (who mentioned that he runs the gym) told me to put on my shoes if I want to continue punching the bag. The way he approached me was extremely arrogant and bossy. Anyway, I responded that I have my shoes, but I take them off when I punch the bag only as its way more comfortable for me to punch the bag when I'm barefoot, especially when I punch with my legs too (people who did any Mixed Martial Arts will understand the significance of being barefoot). He responded on this as the following: I don't care what you're saying (His Direct Words). Since I don't tolerate ANY ATTITUDE like this from ANYONE towards Me, I raised my voice to make sure other people around can hear that this guy has no Respect and any Customer Service and this is the way customers are being treated here. Going back and forth for a couple of minutes I was trying to understand his position to come up with the alternative, which means I was trying to do his job to find a compromise. As you may understand his main argument was that I can injure myself and sue his gym for some compensation. However, I (not him) SUGGESTED to give me some paper to sign to confirm that I take full responsibility, but he was too LAZY to download some form and give it to me to solve the issue within seconds. Instead he preferred keep telling me to put on my shoes or to get out. He also advised to look for the professional place to punch bags as his gym is the commercial one as per his direct words. As I explained that I'm not a big pro at MMA as I just combine my weight lifting and the bag punch as my cardio. As you can image he absolutely didn't care about my reasons at all. This is the typical attitude of a person who has a huge EGO and who needs to put other people down to feel empowered in order to compensate for his some poor achievements in other departments of his life.

I'm not going to this gym anymore not only because there is no Customer Service and no Minimum Respect to Customers, but also because there are machines being Not Maintained at all (Squeaking horribly) and Super Old Weight Plates from the previous century, Scattered around the gym.

I would not recommend Plus Fitness Jindalee to anyone have been to may Gym's throughout my life and even compared to ones I went to 30 years ago the equipment is really poor. Even with Lat Machines are really small and can't do a full extension of your arms without the weight plate touching. The cross trainer and hill climber are the worst that I have ever used anywhere especially compared to other gyms in the area.

That was another issue the timing of the classes they are pretty useless too if you work in the city to try and get back to make them on time.

Also upon trying to cancel they expect you to come in on there limited staffed times to cancel. They try and give you a hard sell not to cancel and try and push you into suspending your membership. They were happy for me not to be present when I signed my contract but when you try and leave they try and make it real hard.

I would recommend shopping around there would be Gyms with better equipment and security after hours in your area.

plus fitness is a very good gym , only bc trainer johnny is there , he's a very good trainer and trains the hell outta ya , he barely lets u take breaks but it's for ur own good fatties , he does sparring every friday's with 13 year olds , it's not he forces them , the kids enjoy it and have a fun time after a long week , this gym is very good , join for a very fast result

I recently joined Plus Fitness there was free membership but I was charged for a fortnight in advance as I had just missed a fort nightly debit cycle so in actual fact had to pay for an extra week ontop of normally fort nightly charge. First direct debit from my visa was due on 1 Feb I made sure there were plenty of funds in my account to cover this as well as other direct debits I have ongoing. I tried to access the gym on 2 Feb and couldn't left messages at the office to find out what was going on 5 Feb I receive an email stating my membership has been suspended due to non payment? I check my bank account there was no debit from them and still plenty of funds to cover...I then contact the company they use for payment processing and leave messages still no reply...I get hold of a staff member at my local gym she states if I pay another fortnight in advance and a dishonour fee (which will be refunded as I proved I did have sufficient funds in the account) I can have immediate access within an hour...I go into the gym and pay cash in advance and still no access to gym after several attempts so I have wasted a week with no gym use and paid a fortnight in advance and a fee and still have no use of the gym....Not at all happy and wouldn't recommend!!

I am a Chinese background woman who usually able to tolerant some racial jokes ( in a friendly way). however, I think he has made into this unprofessional non-ethical "jokes" that he found funny with.
For example, “ calling people Dum-dum “ ; makes up a fake name (Jingjing) to go to Chinese restaurants or Nepalese restaurant to make fun of the owner ; "Lebanese people never learn new things, so I just tell them what to do” ;
“ Chinese people are so good, because they barely using any equipment, just on treadmill and always pay on time “ . “ Chinese people don’t understand black humour because they know know how to interact with people “ “ It’s okay, it’s beyond your understanding". “ Chinese people are the most racist kind because they don’t even know the capital city of xx. This means they don’t even care“. There are lots of sensitive words such as“ third world country “ involved in the conversation.

I really try to just focus on my training session, but this really makes feel uncomfortable. I do understand that I may be sometimes not fully understand his terminology which he feels annoyed to correct my position. I mean I only trained with him over a week and still in the progress of getting used to the position, he very annoyingly said “ you should know this in high school “ ; “ this weights can be lifted by Chinese primary student “ - which he made me to do a 38kg of clean pull. My weight is 53kg and a beginner.

I mean after I left, I was sitting in the car for a long time. I pay for the training, but this makes me feel embarrassed and so uncomfortable. I spoke with my friends ( multi cultured) about this. They encouraged me to raise this up. I am about to leave negative feedback on google review - which you can see some negative comments about his racial issue. So I texted him for cancellation.
