Ordered a watch through their website on December 5th. The item was on backorder, even though the website did not reflect that when I made the purchase. An email from them assured me that since they have a "confirmed shipment arriving in 12-15 days" that I was to receive the gift in plenty of time for Christmas. Over 15 days later, no update from them. I call them and ask about the status of my order. The person on the phone informs me that they did not receive enough stock to fulfill all of the orders and that they were in the process of contacting customers to let them know. This was on December 22nd!

Do not go with a Mom & Pop site, even though they've been accredited with the BBB since 2001. Rely on ResellerRatings reviews. Wish I did that in the first place. Hopefully this helps others.

I sent a old pocket watch,for a repair estimate, my grandfather had bought in the 1800's. I sent it in in its drawstring watch bag that i assume was over 100 years old. i did not get it repaired and they returned it to me without the bag. i called them to try to get the bag back. I was told they did not have the bag and they were not responsable for customer packaging. Come on princeton, an obvious watch bag is packaging. Give me a break.

I bought a watch from this company last year. It was to me quite expensive, a titanium Citizen Aqualand Duplex on a titanium bracelet. The service was as promised, on time, with no issues. I would buy from them again based on the experience.

I received the watch as ordered, and in just a few days with free shipping. The only thing keeping this purchase from five stars was the dead battery when it arrived; although customer service was helpful and rebated the cost of a new battery from a local jeweler. I’m surprised they don’t take a quick look at their product before they ship it out.

True to their promise, I placed my order at 2:30 pm and they shipped that day, despite being Christmas time. When my wife didn't like the Seiko I picked for her, they let us exchange it for a Citizen with no hassle, and they didn't even charge for 2nd day shipping the second time! (which is only $3 anyway)

I ordered a watch for my wife through princeton watch on April 30th. They had a great price that was better than any other e-tailer I found on the net including Ebay. They shipped promptly and has some of the best shipping rates around (normally 2nd day air costs only $3 to the customer as Princeton Watches absorbs the remainder of the cost). I recieved the item without incident, but realized even though the watch was listed as women's on their site, it was huge! Princeton watch did accurately list the size (around 42mmx36mm), but the gender for the watch being classified as "for women" threw me off. My wife's wrist is way too small for such a large size. As much as I liked the watch, I decided to return it. Princeton watches has a truly hasslefree return policy. No RMA was needed. I simply repacked the watch with a letter explaining my reasons of return and a copy of the invoice. As stated in their policy, I was refunded promptly about 5 days after they received the item, less $9.30 for the shipping cost they absorbed when sending me the item. 2nd day air at roughly $12.30 ($3+$9.30) is pretty good compared to around $25 that seem to be the norm with most e-tailers. Their customer service is also EXTREMELY quick in answering inquiries. I've emailed them about 2 or 3 times throughout the process and had them respond within hours. I called customer service once or twice and a live person answered without going through a phone system and 0 hold time. Ultimately I am happy with my purchase experience, Princeton Watch is definitely a straight shooter, and I will be ordering from them again in the near future.

I purchased a watch through Princeton Watches and got 2nd day delivery for two dollars. The watch arrived, but within a couple of days, it stopped working for a day, but restarted working. The watch was solar powered, but should have a 90 day battery life even without any light.

I had no confidence in the watch, so I contacted Princeton watches and returned the watch for my choice of a full refund or an exchange and they agreed to pay my shipping costs of shipping it back, although I never got around to giving them the receipt for that.

Their customer service is excellent. I would definitely recommend this company to anyone looking for a watch.

I am very happy with the price and the service with Princeton. I ordered on Sunday and by Wednesday I had my time piece. It came wrapped and ready to go.
The service was prompt and A1- I could not have asked for better.
The price was excellent and so was the prompt delivery.

I recently ordered a Seiko wall clock from Princeton Watches. The selection was the largest I found outside of Seiko themselves. Princeton's prices was much better than many of the competitors. When you combine this with free shipping, they have a great price. The web site was very easy to use, no searching for any functions. The free shipping was not by the slowest delivery possible, Ordered Monday and received Thursday. When I need another clock or watch, Princeton Watches will be the first place I look.

I Ordered two Victorinox Swiss Army Watches recently amoung others in the past Citizen, Bulova and so on, and haven't had any issues. They have always been nice and friendly, delivered my packages on time, fast to resolve any issues i may have had, I will definitely shop with princetonwatches again soon!

We order from Princeton at least once a month. Never have had an issue. Always arrive with free shipping in two days or next day. Had to call in an order once (due to website issues) and they were very helpful and friendly. Great company!

*Note about bad reviews: This is a discount site- of course they run out of watches and things go on back order-- there's a reason you can get 50% on the limited stock I'm sure they have. However, we have never dealt with backorders - watches are out of stock sometimes, but I always order right then and there, so it is never an issue. Seems like common sense on a site such as this.

I recently purchased a new Gshock Gsteel series watch, the site caught my eye because the watch retails for $350, they had it listed for $230. When i called to investigate i talked with a very kind and helpful woman, who informed me that because princeton orders in a very high volume, with low overhead they can pass the savings to the consumer. She also informed me that the watch was in stock and that it was new, with factory warranty, and that they could size the watch before shipping it, free of charge! I made the purchase over the phone and selected the free 2nd day air shipping. I ordered on a friday and received the watch the following tuesday.

The watch is beautiful and exactly as expected and advertised, i have no complaints with the service or merchandise whatsoever.

I had not read any reviews before making the purchase on my phone call impulse buy, but soon after my order i decided to look at some reviews...and was thoroughly terrifyed!
After reading many reviews on 2 different consumer review websites, i came to a conclusion:
90% of the negative reviews have to do with miscommunications about stocking, back ordering, and the website not accuratley informing consumers about the availability of merchandise.
I had a sigh of relief as i hope that my phone conversation and order (the woman physically got the watch while on the line and assusred me it would be shipped by 4pm that day) would bypass any of these problems...i was right!

My experience with Princeton Watches was completley positive, the worst part was the fear i got from all the negative reviews! be a smart shopper, call and inquire before ordering, i would absolutley reccomend this site to a friend!

I first checked ResellerRatings and felt Princeton Watches was O.K. I made my order and had immediate confirmation. My order shipped the following day and I was given a UPS tracking number. Delivery was right on time and in perfect shape. I'm very pleased and would definitely order from Princeton again.

I purchased a watch from Princeton Watches in December of 2017 as a Christmas present. Upon opening the watch the watch was dead. I contacted them and printed a return slip and returned it. I simply wanted it to receive a new battery. I received a phone call that they could not accept a return on the watch because it was scratched but that they had placed a new battery in it. The point is I didn't scratch it nor did I notice a scratch on it. What I did notice was that the watch I received back had a seal on the stem which the one my wife opened on Christmas did not have. The watch also had a protective strip on the back of it. The one that I received on Christmas did not have a seal or protective strip. I think I am lucky, the watch my wife has works and she likes it. Unfortunately I believe I received a slightly damaged product directly from them and because of this damage they would not accept a return on it. Beware Princeton Watches shipping you a slightly used product and making you liable for its damage. I will not be using them again. We are talking about a $1000.00 product here. What if it was $8,000.00

I ordered a watch before Xmas. It never arrived. I finally cancelled my order today, March 7. Terrible business practice to keep consumers waiting so long. Every time I asked they would say that the watch would be here in a few days. Just plain lies.

I purchase Casio Edifice from them more then month ago. Watch was out of stock. In time of purchase it was 20% off. When I received watch went to 30%. Rachel A was so kind and inform me she will refund additional 10% for me. What a great example of world class customer service and nice gift for my birthday. Thank you Princeton Watches !!!!

I just received my "midsize" Luminox 0301 - B.O. First off, P.W's advertisements are very misleading. Although they said this watch was 39mm, they should have added that its definitely a "woman's watch". My wrists are only 7" and this watch looks very small on my wrist. More upsetting was the fact that only the 12, 2, 4, 6, 8, and 10 markers illuminate. That information is not mentioned anywhere on the Princeton's web page. They need to be a lot more clear and informative about their products. Very disappointed today. I should have paid a little more money and ordered directly from Luminox. Live and learn !!!
