Use to love river island but delivery is appalling, 7-10 working days waiting for deliveries of my last 3 orders, including the weekends and it's nearly a fortnight. Never again will I be using this service, quailty had also went downhill too! Gems washed away on my daughter jumper after 1 30oc wash, leggings are horrendous, full of holes after one wear, terrible quality for double the price of better stores.

I understand you don’t take returns on Boxing Day but when you had four staff on the till and two customers and one of your staff ‘moaning how dead it was’ I assumed you might have done a straight size swap! I then go to all Arcadia clothes shops and they said it was ridiculous and it’s your way of getting more money out of your customers. We do not live near a River Island and travelled to change the jacket. I found your staff rude, I certainly will not be returning and never mind swapping sizes I will be returning the item and not returning to your shop!

OrderEd a bag on hear for a secret Santa present, was suppose to be delivered to store on 15th dec, still not delivered and it’s the 26th dec, monies been taken from my account, every time I contact customer services there answer is it’s Christmas we’re busy, when logging onto my account to track delivery I can’t. This is the 1st time I’ve ordered from River Island and will definitely be my last horrendous service!! One extremely unhappy customer!!!

I have ordered a lot from river island on line, and have been very pleased, however this Christmas has been very very bad , I ordered a dress for Xmas day when received there was a big rip down the back of it, the second dress was suppose to have pleats in it but was like a rag, and to now I don’t know how to return it as no return sheet or recipes were put in delivery, no t at all happy this time and will let it be known ????

I have been ri customer for years. I'm pregnant so decided to order some maternity jeans from them and huge disappointment, I believe person who designed jeans never was pregnant and don't understand than jeans without zip or any type of closure not useful. If you would like to step in to maternity market you should have someone who knows what maternity is. Impossible to put jeans on or after take it off as there is no zip and button made just to look better

I brought a top for a freind within the Christmas extended returns period, it didn’t fit and I went in to exchange it (st Helens store) to be told by a very rude member of the team that I needed to have asked for a gift receipt to be within policy, there was no management in (eg manager or assistant manager) just an equally as rude team leader or whatever they are named. I asked to speak to her and she said there’s no point as she would say the same, my normal receipt isn’t enough. There was a board that confirmed their policy and this was incorrect! Then emailed the complaints team who said that they would refund the money if I took it into store, this was in black and white. The really nice store assistant (wish I remembered her name!) said this would be fine but she needed to check with her assistant manager, the assistant manager refused, read the email and said he doesn’t care what it says it’s his policy and it will flag back end, I asked when his store manager would be back and he would not give me her first name or when she would be back. Just that she wouldn’t be back for a while. He was EXTREMELY rude!! How he is a manager I do not know. I then continued with my complaint on email, they asked me to return the item by post and keep proof. I lost the purse with the proof which is fair enough for a few months as it was in a purse that I miss laid, I then found it and sent it off to be told I could only have a gift card of the amount, I have sent numerous pictures of a refund being promised and the company are out right refusing to do anything but a gift card! It’s appalling!! It’s £21 which is no biggy it’s just the pure principle that such A big company are atrocious!!!

I ordered my daughter some clothes to play in the garden which should have come to £89. I did not know that the company is struggling due to the economic crisis because they are misleading on there website. I have tried to cancel the order which I cannot do because they don’t have the staff. I have now waited 7 days and I have been charged another £89 for what I do not know. I can not contact anybody, I have sent numerous emails to cancel the order which I have not even received an automated email reply. I have had to inform my bank what has happened and that I require my £178 refund I am so disappointed and think it’s disgusting how no one is available to contact but you are available to take two amounts of money which is not yours to take.

I have shopped at river island for two years with excellent service then it has gone so wrong your gift voucher refund is atrocious five weeks still waiting fed up keep phoning your policy need looking into lobed the staff at Blackpool store but even that has changed feel I am a nuisance one member of staff nadine and Kim are fabulous what is going on very disgruntled

Started to shop at River Island at Rushden Lakes during their sale. We got many lovely bargains and found staff and customer services both helpful and cheerful. On line ordering is easy and free with swift delivery to any R I shop. Picking parcels up from shops is convenient and staff are efficient and polite. Goods arrive neatly packed in tissue paper with clear, ‘returns’ guidelines should you choose to return goods. Very impressed and will continue to shop on line and at their branch in Rushden Lakes in future.

I went to Riverisland store in ST JOHNS SHOPPING CENTRE PERTH yesterday at 15:20pm, the guy who is working at the cashier is really not professional at all. He checks his mobile phone all the time, I've been standing there for 2 mins, he has totally ignored me, only focus on his mobile phone, until I'm trying to make cough sound, he starts doing his job!!! and before this, I'm already waiting for other 10mins on the 2 customers before me!

Wanted to change delivery to my new address 2 days before the order was dispatched . River island said I couldn’t even though the order was out in a few hours before. I changed my new address on the system but when I paid my old address popped up for delivery and I couldn’t change it ... Joanne on live chat cut me off mid chat .. abysmal. I will never order from this firm again

Ordered jeans at 40S and they came as 42R.. Gets worse.. So I didn't even try them on and I returned them. They then send them back and say that we can't refund because they smell of washing powder have no tags and not in correct bag.. Literally took them out n put them back in. Absolute joke. Dont order online from this s*** hole

I called in for a product that says it was available at the 213 oxford street store, so I journeyed 2 hours to the store as I needed to travel out of the country next day. Little did I know I was on a trip to the most unreasonable store manager ever. The sales guy checked on the pda and it says they had 5 available but the manager won't sell because he wanted to use it for promo. Excuse me manager, I've just traveled all the way down to your store because the telephone and online service says you have it stocked and we've confirmed from the pda that stock is certainly available. Your sales assistance has gone to check the stock room and has confirmed the physical appearance of what I came to buy. The manager kept lying right to my face item was no longer available. No other company has been so unreasonable as the customer service agent said they couldn't overrule the store manager's decision. Today has been an absolute waste of my time and money. This is certainly a goodbye to RiverIsland from me as it's clear that customers are certainly not valued in their culture.

so My adventure with jeans from the river island started half a year ago the first pair torn after five months of using the second pants after 6 months made holes from the back for sewing a pocket on top of that I bought a third couple for the first ones I just scored, it turned out that these new jeans are dyebja (cost € 50) and they left me blue for my new white shoes from tommy H. for 150 € WTF river island?

My 2 year was given a gift which was a white jumper and leggings. Iv only washed it once and its already got bobbles on it. Quality is absolutely rubbish... stay away. Iv also brought clothes in the past which once washed have been covered in bobbles. Dont waste your money. I have learnt my lesson.
