Twice now have I gone to this place to have my camera serviced. The gentlemen that looked at my camera said that it would take about 10 days to get repaired, they called me this morning on the 5th day informing me that they've finished and its ready to come home. Flopped out of bed and came right over, again I was very pleased with the repairs and the price was quite reasonable! They're always very polite, funny and helpful but more importantly, I trust them! Thanks guys! :)

Samy's photo blog always has great articles with tips and tricks on cameras, shooting in specific places, photoshop editing, and more. It's a great resource for young (and old) photographers looking to get some free advice!

Samy's Camera has everything you need as a professional photographer. Prices are great, free shipping, and everything comes packaged very safely so you never have to worry about having your expensive, important equipment damaged during shipping. I only order from Samy's now.

I buy all of my cameras from Samy's. Not always the cheapest but their service is always excellent. I'd rather pay a little more and know I'm dealing with a good knowledgable seller who takes care of it's customers.

When I failed to complete my order 2 months ago, I thought all was lost in getting my new Sony camera. I spoke to Rod in Samy's customer service, and he jumped into action. He called me later in the morning with a suggestion, which I followed up on. The Sony model had just been released, and by working with Rod and Samy's and Sony, the model shipped today. This was above and beyond any online site I've worked with, camera or anything. Samy's rocks, and Rod is the man. He earned a customer for life!

I typically have shopped online at BHphotovideo and adorama but recently found Samys camera to be an excellent value and they have better customer service than either of the other sites in terms of really helping you pick out the best equipment for your needs. I heard about them through the Playboy shoot the centerfold workshop http://samysedu.com/2011/06/03/shoot-the-centerfold-weekend-begins/ and met some of their employees who were very knowledgeable. They can sometimes have deals that are not on their website I noticed so call them if you are looking for something specific.

Was looking for a Nikon Coolpix P510 which is being phased out since the P520 is now on the market. Got the P510 from Samy's at a great price that included battery, charger, and accessories. Shipping was free. Very satisfied with this company.

I had a Nikon D7000 camera pre-ordered from Amazon, but due to serious backlog and a possible long wait, I continued to scan online stores for an actual "in stock" D7000.

The other night while scanning Amazon again, 4 D7000s showed up as being available from Samy's Camera through the Amazon marketplace. I refreshed the page a few minutes later and "Hurry, only two remaining" showed up on the Amazon page.

I took the plunge and ordered with the super fast one click ordering system and thought I was good to go. I refreshed the page again and sure enough it was down to "Only one remaining," so I figured I had one locked up. I even checked again in a half hour, and Samy's had posted 4 more D7000's as being available.

Today I found out that they actually oversold, and did not have any to ship to me, even though I had ordered well before they put four MORE units up for sale.

I called Samy's again and immediately canceled my order. The one bright spot was that Penny, the customer service agent I spoke with, was polite and quickly canceled my order with no trouble.

The thing that burns me is that I canceled my Amazon order and will now be at the back of the line when I re-order. I also had a chance to pick it up at Best Buy as they received a batch yesterday morning, but I trusted that Samy's would honor their promise of a 28 or 29 October ship date.

I recently bought a Nikon d70s refurb from them since I didn't want to spend too much.. I paid 899.00 for the refurb and the salesman gave me a few items for free. Needless to say. It was a 1gb generic memory card, a slk-sdv20 tripod ($20), a jumpstart DVD, a medium sized camera case that was too small to hold anything. Then he added a Rear Lens cap for 11.50 on my bill without telling me and overall charged me with tax 1044.33 which included the 49.00 Helio UV filter since I only wanted the best..not knowing the GG was so dirty behind it. Now After I waiting to take the free Nikon class..which was great...I went out to shoot today just to notice that behind the ground glass that there was so much dirt that it got into my pix. Now I have to go to Nikon Service Center to get that cleaned up and wait 3 days for that to happen. Who know how much that will cost..but I found out that there is no warranty for even 30days for refurbs. I hate commission sales people. I will now just stick with BH Photo in NYC..so much better...Overall for Samy's customers...Buyer beware.

I purchased a drone 2 weeks ago, it was 1000$ , I asked for financing option , they told me it takes 5 minutes to evaluate ,but less than 3 minutes it's done.... I am so happy with my drone.

I ordered my camera online which made me a little apprehensive at first. However, when someone from Sammy's called and to confirm the delivery to an address other than my billing address my worries were eased right away! They were very helpful and courteous and I'd definitely do business with them again.

The item was packaged and shipped really well and I'm very satisfied overall! Thank you!

I have reviewed consumer ratings for Samy's in here and took a chance and went in with eyes wide open. I went in the store during their Father's Day No Sales Tax event and purchased "Non-electronic" accessories such as manfrotto tripod ($25 rebate), monopod and a couple of heads, as well as a backpack. Oh yeah, and an additional 8GB sandisk extreme IV ($50 rebate). All transactions went through smoothly. I came prepared with prices from their website and know exactly what I'm looking for. The guy on the counter matched the website prices and never hassled me with other stuff, he was calm, helpful and friendly. Eventhough, I made him go back to their warehouse more than a couple of times.

The only minor issue I have was about their inventory system; system shows they have it but warehouse says no, OR warehouse says they have it but the system shows no. It's no big deal though, because I always have an alternative choice (better price).

I would normally buy from B&H PHOTO and the likes but I have to pay shipping. In the end the "No Tax" deal was a whole lot better, plus, I get the products as I pay.

Overall, I'm happy with Samy's specially with the guy who helped me. I will always look for him in the future when I buy a new dslr system on their next sale event. We'll see how that one will go - review update to follow.

I just ordered a Nikon D800 and lens from Samy's Camera yesterday for overnight delivery. Received an e-mail from them with the purchase information listing the items and price, etc. The payment was to be processed using my Discover Card.

Just now, I received an e-mail from Samy's that because this was my first purchase with them, I would have to use an alternate form of payment - either Paypal or wire transfer.

As a follow-up, I just looked at my Discover Card account and see that Samy's has submitted a charge for the full amount of the camera purchase, even though they say I have to use another form of payment. So now I have to wait until they remove the "pending" charge so I can purchase the camera from another site.

What morons! (Of course just about EVERY merchant does this, which is incredibly infuriating!)

This is just BS so I'm taking my business elsewhere and I would suggest others do the same!

It was memory card maker SanDisc's inclusion of Samy's Camera as a retailer that led me to this store (an endorsement by SanDisc), and Samy's was the only one listed on that SanDisc list of retailers web page that had the size and type of memory card in stock I was looking for (SanDisc Extreme, SD, 4GB). I've done a lot of shopping online, and I don't think that I've ever seen a better web site for purchases--everything was laid out extremely well; everything was there to make the purchase so easy and foolproof. I received my purchase quickly in a well-packed small box. This is a great place to shop.
