I wrote two reviews about two catholic schools and one Anglican involving bullying, false allegations, harassment, high level of discrimination. All certified band proved by won work compensation court cases, accepted claims by the human rights commission etc. However none of my stories has been allowed to come out. they are scared to loose the advertising and jobs publication. So as far as I concern do not offer the service if you can keep the standards.
Very low standards and ethical levels.

I was made redundant in Aug 2013 at 57. I stuck to Seek and applied for about 30. I landed a good one May 2014 attributed 100 percent to Seek. There was no other online site that I was able to use. The layout and fast responses are great.
Hope I dont need to use it again, but would not go anywhere else

I've been applying for jobs regularly over the last 10 years or so using this site. Mostly with the intention of changing jobs with better opportunities just like every one else. The amount of advertising this site does is both a scam and a waste of time; they only want to bolster their reputation by getting you to register and set up your profile.

May be the standards are too high that they just enjoy being super critical of genuine applicants?

I have been applying for jobs since 2010 using different sites but seek isnt the one that helped me find one. I don't like it and don't recommend it to anyone.

at now out of 65 users feedback. 58 ONE star, 2 FIVE stars, shame on seek , I have been applying through Seek for seven years but non of them successful

I have a business that has taken 25 years to build up. In that time I have employed over 200 people and currently employ around 60. Sadly some employees have to be terminated or are asked to move on because of lack of ability or significant issues where continued employment is no longer sustainable. Those employees can then post up the most one sided, distorted reviews which are often downright lies and its simply posted. This is extremely damaging to a business and its hard won reputation. There is apparently nothing that can be done about it.

We have used Seek to advertise roles for the past 15 years and generally been pretty happy. We implemented an HRIS solution a couple of years ago and were initially having trouble getting candidates to apply through seek to that solution. After some discussion Seek agreed to allow us to post the links to our HRIS.

Recently we formed another company and setup a new Seek profile. Seek advised us they would no longer make an exception and allow us to post links from the Seek adverts to our HRIS citing term 25 of their T & Cs. It makes no sense for any progressive company who has taken the important step of getting a good HRIS to work with job advertisement boards/companies that do not integrate.

The customer service was some of the worst we have experienced in our time in business. We have terminated our relationship with the company and will use alternative providers.

Seek was once the go to site for finding work, but is now overrun with fake ads from recruiters. Seek would do well to police the content of their own site and/or add an option to hide recruiter ads. Seek may be making money from these fake ads but have destroyed their reputation in the process.

I have been using this website to look for work for the past two years and over the past two years it has to be said that the number of positive follow ups or interviews has yet to get me a job. I have not been to any interviews over the past year which leads me to think either I may have to reskill myself (even that does not guarantee employment) or that Australia is not the country it used to be. I have been applying for more than 50 jobs per week and still have not been able to secure any interviews so far this year. I could apply for more jobs but since I specialise in ICT project work my scope is restricted in a way.

My skillset and experience is not transferable into other organisations such as financial services. I am getting seek confirmations upon applying for a role with seek however years ago when i used to use this website the agencies that I used to apply with also sent confirmation or rejection emails I am not getting them now - this proves that my resume gets clogged within the seek system. This suggests that only a selective number of resumes get through to the other Agency or company involved. In conclusion, I believe that an inquiry needs to be carried out to review this organisation in detail and to ascertain the accuracy of the data and figures it is revealing online.

waste of time site

I've been applying for jobs with Seek for almost 8 years. I've never got a response or interview with any of the jobs I applied for. It wasn't till I read the bad reviews that I realised I can't be that bad with what I have to offer. Its been so depressing. I'm also registered with Hays who have been the worst to deal with. Shocking and unprofessional service. So where do we go to look for work. This has been a bad experience.But been using GUMTREE its very good,I get everyday few reply & call from few employers.in the 8 years i got all jobs from GUMTREE ONLY.THANKS GUMTREE.

I am a qualified manufacturing engineer, yet i never get a response or inkling that someone has read or reviewed my application. I get emails stating my application is being reviewed but then NOTHING. What's the point of not getting any feedback. It has been over 4 months and many applications and no replies. Are these jobs real?? I subscribed to the email alerts wow what a joke, they send me jobs that are a thousand miles away even though you subscribe to the area you applied for. Also i notice re-occurring job ads, something not right here. Don't they realist they are playing with peoples livelihood. Have deleted my account and will do more networking and cold calling instead. It is working for me already. Recruiters also are a waste of time and energy. My advice is, "Time to take the trash out."

We paid over $300 for an advert on SEEK for 8 applications from overseas candidates who didn't have work rights in Australia so, quick frankly, feel a bit short changed. It should at least be free to advertise here if they can't guarantee any kind of quality

I've used SEEK for a number of years now. It used to be reasonably priced, it's now close to $900 per premium job avert and the level of candidates is so poor its untrue. You spend all your time putting together a brief and certain credentials to be met by candidates for them to be flat our ignored. Basically, anyone applies for any role it's like the wild west. I'm actually at the stage now where I'm actually looking to use a recruiter over SEEK, sad times!

They undermined three weeks worth of applying for particular jobs because their stupid Facebook style profile keeps saving default CVs, even when you delete them; it is a nightmare. They think that everyone uses one CV and does not edit it or add and remove things for the benefit of your application. A complete waste of time now. It used to be much simpler although problems with saving files/ letters were more common This is the last time.

I got a job or two off Seek years ago but now I'm over 55 and with trade qualifications and experience just rejected nowadays.
Recently all the jobs on Seek have been posted weeks ago. Even in the new jobs tab ,the most recent posted job was 2 weeks ago. I think a lot of people are moving off on to Facebook and other social media platforms now to look for jobs
. I think Seek is pretty well had it now .
also it seems as though it's always the same old jobs from the same employers now all time ,one wonders if they're actually really jobs there at all.
I would not recommend seek anymore

I paid $300 dollars for nothing.
My job description was a MR Truckdriver/ Labourer to do treelopping very simple.
They sent me Plumbers, Sheetmetal workers and a variety of others tradesman WITH no truck licence.
Hopeless I should have burnt the $300 in my hand.
Tried to talk to anyone and also e mailed them
No one wanted to get back to me or talk to me.

I will never use SEEK AGAIN TOTALLY HOPELESS.
CEO ([name removed]) doesn't know what's going on or only worried about his bonuses.

I have Been applying jobs on seek for over a year now and I have never got any calls or not even a Unsuccessful Emails. It has started making realize to rethink about my abilities now. it is a waste of time.

I have actually contacted people i have applied to through seek after getting 'has indicated that your application for' I believe seek has a filter and if you dont have the 'ping' words your application does not go through annnnd then seeks Auto system sends this through... More the 90% of my applications do not get through seeks filters... Dont use it... Indeed, careersone, jora look for others.

I have reported seek to the appropriate authorities... You should do the same. As when you put in the relevent questions to find answers. Seek has deliberately made this a rat warren... They have No transparency

I have applied for over 7 jobs in the last 2 weeks, all over which are in the same role that I am highly experienced in. I have uploaded a resume (which I have had professionally done) and included a cover letter. All of the steps seek advise for applying for jobs I have carried out exactly. This website just wants numbers and takes advantage of people genuinely looking for work- I would absolutely understand if I was not offered the job- but I have never received feedback for a single job I.have applied for. It’s disgusting.

Been trying to apply for jobs recently, and when I apply for jobs I can't scroll down when they ask for how many years experience have you worked for in that field etc. This has happened to me on so many occasions in the last couple of weeks I give up. Fix this problem!
