I just purchased an HVX 205A camera and P2 Card from Sunshine. It is the second video camera I have purchased from them. I can honestly say that my experience was nothing less than perfect and extremely pleasant. I went to their store and everything was given to me in 100% sealed box and in perfect working condition. They gave me a fantastic price and I would and already have in the past recommend them.

Purchased a Canon 40 D package from them at there store, located in Brooklyn. The store is small, yet packed with cameras and accessories. I showed them the package I noticed online and wanted to know if they could change the lens. I was apprehensive at first because the package was lower priced then B&H. I drove from New Jersey just to make sure the deal was real. The whole process took 15 minutes and I was back on the road in traffic playing with my camera. Next time I will order online ship it to New Jersey and not have to pay the sales tax.

Ordered a Nikon D700 kit, which came with 3 main lens' Was ordered Tues evening and was delivered by Thurs the following week. One of the lens' was defective, got a Return authorization immediately, sent it in on Monday and had the replacement by the following Monday. My only concern is I didn't do my research well enough and found after I ordered it that it was a worldwide model, Sunshine does the warranty through their store, though with the experience with the defective lens and turnaround time at this point I'm not concerned, Good price and turnaround times, though I would suggest being more upfront, instead of in fine print, what region the cameras are from.

I received my NIKON D300 the very next day after ordering it. I had to pay for overnight delivery, There “free” delivery is for ground delivery only. I tried to get shopsunshine.com to waive it, they would not. They gave me some $25 coupon to help with the cost of next day air. I found shopsunshine.com to be reasonable.

I purchased canon 40D, it came my home with brand new condition. I am very pleased with the ordering process. I think this store is better than other. I love their service a lot.

I purchased the Nikon D60 KIT from SunShine Electronics, what a deal I thought. I did a lot of SLR research and for the camera and money the KIT was a good buy. I also did some research on Sunshine Electronics and found a lot of mixed reviews. BUT, I took the chance, which I should not have and should have listed to that little red flag. Well, I am extremely disappointed in their Customer Service. I did receive all of the kit except the 55-200 VR Lens from them. I immediately called them and they said that the lens was on 'back-order', the documentation on the packing list did have 3 letters, but non that would be taken as on back-order. The person on the phone said that it would be sent in about 2 weeks. I waited over 2 weeks. I called last week on and they told me that the camera would be available last Wednesday, the 22nd and that it would be shipped the fast way possible to me. Today, Tuesday, I called again, I talked to one person and they said that they had credited my Paypal account 125.00 for the cost of the Lens that it would not be available for 6 to 8 weeks. I was never notified from Sunshine Electronics about any delay's in the lens and I was not notified by them of them going to credit my account. I did finally get something from Paypal letting me know that I had the credit but it was in Pending for at least 4 days. I then hung up and called again a few min. later to find out what they could do, if they had another lens that met the same standards as the Nikon 55-200; to which they said no. I asked them at that time for the owners name, which they did give to me, but with reluctance. When I hung up, I was very disappointed as the ONLY reason I went with this kit was the lens and I was very disappointed with myself with NOT going with my gut feeling and avoiding this purchase. I called again to tell them since the lens was not available that I wanted to return the other items and get credited for everything; to which they informed me the 30 days were up. THIS WAS VERY UNETHICAL of this Company and I feel VERY VIOLATED!! I would NEVER recommend SUNSHINE ELECTRONICS from New York to ANYBODY.

P.S. Upon receiving my package they also tried to contact me and sell me another lithium battery; to which I said NO, I believe I was then marked for poor treatment.

P.S.S. I had save money for a long time to be able to get a SLR camera and Nikon is whom I chose to go with, I don't think Nikon would appreciate a company like them representing their products.

I located a good deal on Ebay, through the DSN. I ordered the item on 3/31/09, I finally received the order on 4/13. The time frame did not worry me too much as I read their shipping information. I was required to contact to confirm the order after already paying for the item. I received all items except the NX2 Software Disc. I called and they eventually sent me a 60 day trial disc 2 1/2 weeks after my initial order. I am not hard to please but with the extremely slow service and mis-represented software I left less than par feedback on Ebay. DSN immediately defended my statement by stating they had an 8 business day turn-a-round on my camera package and that the software is as advertised. I kept all descriptions, screenshots, and pictures of the eBay ad and NO WHERE does it state that the software was a trial version. And as for the 8 business day turn-a-round, call me crazy, my count differed since they did not send a complete order until a month later. If you can't deliver your product properly and on time, you should look into another career. I am filing a complaint with EBay as well as the better business bureau to really look into this company practice of bait and switch. Now I get to spend more money on software I already purchased.

I bough HD camcorder, I am repeat customer just as satisfied as the first time. This store has low price with great service. Definitely come here again and again.

HI, LET ME TELL YOU MY STORY WITH SUNSHINE ELECTRONICS, IVE PLACED MY ORDER IN EBAY ON THE 16 OF JULY, AFTER THAT THEY SEND AND EMAIL WITH WIRE TRANSFER INFORMATION, I MADE THE TRANSFER ON THE 17, WICH WENT OK BY THE 20 OF JULY, TALK TO THEM A FEW DAYS LATER AND THEY SAID EVERYTHING WAS OK, THEY WERE JUST WAITING FOR BANK CONFIRMATION, LATER ON NO MORE COMUNICATING WITH THEM, THEY DONT ANSWER MI EMAILS OR CALLS, ON THE 13 OF AUGUST FINALLY THEY ANSWERED THE LAST TIME, AND RICHARD, AS HE CALLED HIMSELF TOLD ME THEY WHERE SENDING ME A REFUND, WICH BY NOW HAS NOT APPEARED ON MY BANK ACCOUNT, AND THEY HAVENT REACHED MY BY EMAIL OR ANY METHOD.

I've been waiting 34 days to receive my extended warranty card that I paid $350 for. When I got my camera 39 days ago, it had some bogus/fake warranty card in there. I knew it was bogus, because I'm a professional photographer and knew the difference. I paid for the PRO warranty card that had all-inclusive coverage, no matter what, for 5 years. They sent me one that wouldn't have replaced anything had there been a problem.

So I called Sunshine. After being passed from operator to operator, I finally got someone on the phone who acknowledged the problem. He said I would get my warranty card within 10 business days. No problem.

21 business days later, it still didn't arrive. I inquired nicely, and was told someone would contact me. No one did. 8 more days have passed, and I never received anything.

Your only recourse with a company like this is to file a report at Ripoffreport.com. It's permanent. That shows up in the Google search and will make sure no one else suffers at the hands of these irresponsible dealers again. Buyer beware. Stay away.

Ordered online late Monday night - actually Tue 12:25 AM and package was at my location on Thursday!

I bought a NikonD40 in march of 2008. Recieved the bundle deal from them and the 70-300 lens was not the one avertised. they send me a manuel lens instead of the automatice which they should have sent. Also items sent in the bundle were very cheap. I called many times and sent e-mails as request by Mark at shop sunshine. Even before i bought the camera bundle i called to make sure i was getting what was advertised and they said yes. I would not buy anything from them, as soon as they have your money they dont care. Beware of this camera shop.

Very satifiled with this web site, I bought a SLR camera (Canon 40D, great website very easy to navigate, as smooth as it gets fast.

I did eventually get the camera although it was a gray market not USA model that they advertised on Ebay. Shipping was very very slow. They do return emails but aren't very useful. Never got the 8gb card that they promised. Would I buy from them again? Definitely not.

I originally placed placed an order with Pyxis_Camera on ebay for a Nikon D700 kit. The kit arrived without the included lenses. After receiving the lenses the camera turned out to be defective. On 12-31-08. The camera was exchanged for a D300 kit. The cust. service rep said he would only replace my "DEFECTIVE" camera if I left them positive feedback and a 5 star rating on Ebay. I had to pay $149 to ship the camera back. The new kit arrived without one of the two lenses in the kit. I contacted customer service by phone and spoke with a “Sebastian”, who told me there was a problem with the lenses causing error messages on the cameras. He went onto say the lenses had to be sent back and another would be in the warehouse and ship the following Tuesday (01-13-09). He said I would get an email that day with a tracking number for the item. No email was sent.
I contacted customer service on 01-15-09 and spoke with a person with a different voice that called himself “Sebastian”. He assured me it would be in the following Tuesday (01-20-09) and gave the same information stating I would get an email with the tracking information. No email was sent. I called again on 01-22-09, and spoke to another person named “Dexter”. This time, he assured me he would look into the matter personally. He said the item was due in the following Tuesday (01-27-09). The same email was promised. No email.
I called in on 01-30-09 and spoke with a person with the same voice earlier as “Sebastian”. He assured the lens would be in the following Tuesday (02-03-09). He assured the same email. No email.
I called in on 02-10-09, and spoke with a different person named “Dexter”. I explained my concerns to him. He said he was the only “Dexter” that worked there. He said he would take up the issue with his manager. He said he would call me back on 02-11-09, by 2 p.m. pacific coast time with an update on the shipping of the lens. No call.

I called back in on Thursday 02-11-09, and asked to speak to the manager. I spoke with a person claiming to be the manager. I explained the concern after being promised claims of shipment. He said, I was “Shit out of luck!” and hung up the phone on me.
This is still not resolve...

I just purchased a Nikon D60 SLR package from Sunshine Electronics through e-bay and payed via Paypall. I did have to call and confirm the order Monday and they did try to sell me some extras (a battery, more memory, and an extended warentee) which I said 'no' to all. Not much different from what any good salesman would try to do in person. It was shipped a couple days after and I recieved it today (Friday) -- well within the 10 business days they promised.

I purchased a Nikon D90 from this retailer via eBay. Although they are not an authorized retailer, I received a US model camera with the full warranty according to the Nikon website and phone support. Like many sites online, Sunshine also sells non-US models. However, my item clearly stated US model with US warranty and that is exactly what I received. If you simply read the descriptions of the items, you should have no problems with this retailer.

I had to call Sunshine and confirm my order. Although I was on hold for a while, the salesman Peter was very polite. Although there were definitely attempts to sell me other products, he was not too pushy at all when I said no.

I wanted to purchased genuine camera, I saw different cameras on shopsunshine.com and I selected Nikon D-300. It came to me quickly with perfect condition.

Had to return first order because I wanted the 40D instead of the XSI. They made it easy to return, polite and all specially for New Yorkers

Shopsunshine.com has Excellent service; I would have liked to get tracking information the same day, it took them 2 days
