While the SilkFred responds quickly, that is pretty useless praise, if they
- have no power to act.
- work out-of-hours relative to the suppliers
- don’t show any initiative to resolve problems.

WELL IN ADVANCE of my order arriving (because the supplier didn’t act on it for over a week; I was in contact after 2 business days!) I told SilkFred that the delivery would now be too late—Royal Mail would land up sending the items back themselves since I am out of the country for the amount of time RM will hold the packages - 14 days.

SilkFred basically did nothing except send an email to supplier asking them for updates in case it was on the way already. Since no dispatch information had yet been received, SF and supplier AND I knew that there was time to act.

The supplier clearly holds no regard for SF or the customer, as the supplier didn’t reply promptly or in a helpful way.

Two days passed without any action by SF agent, who only works evenings from 5pm - illogical since the suppliers work day times.

When I prompted SF again, the supplier, MOE, admitted the parcel had not even been prepared, and would only arrive the following week.

Instead using logic to immediately halt the order and issue my refund, they both decided to go against my wishes and pursue the order anyway.

And, to make matters more distasteful, this “original” designer is available through Amazon, and the exact same item is more than £10 cheaper.

So much for Emma Watkins’ proposal that SF provides “unique fashion with fun and stress-free service”….

Do not order from here. Ordered a dress and paid for next day delivery and it’s been 3 days and still not arrived. You cannot get hold of anyone there to answer questions about your order - they just take your money and offer no customer service. When you email you get an auto response saying they’re apparently so busy, but either hire more staff or stop taking customers money and promising a service you can’t deliver. I ordered my dress for a wedding and it’s now not going to arrive on time. Do not bother giving your money or custom to them!!

I returned items and still waiting after 3 weeks for a refund and emailing them they don’t reply for days, opened a dispute via PayPal and they said if I close it they will refund me, closed and now still waiting 2 days and 3 emails to them later. Also an item was sent to me for 7.99 and they charged me 20 but won’t refund difference. Avoid them at all costs

Returned three items of clothing asked for an exchange on two items of clothing in a larger size and a refund on the other i kept emailing them for them to say they will find out what is happening this has been going since the 13/08/2018 i have never known a clothing site to actually take the p..s in this way i kept sending emails and a amiee would answer well to be honest your just a robot because by now i should have a refund in my bank account and two exchanges sent back to my address this site is a total piss take i don’t work my arse off to be ordering clothes and then for people to take the piss for me not to get my money back Really bad site they are totally taking the Micky

Ordered 10 dresses, paid for overnight delivery. One dress never turned up, 4 were delivered late!!! Trying to return unwanted items is a farce, I have managed to download and print 3 return labels, I sent back and did receive a refund. They also refunded me the dress that never arrived. I still have 3 dresses to return I am unable to create returns labels as the items still show as waiting to be dispatched on my silkfred account. I have to date sent 19 emails to try and resolve this, customer service is non existent. They have really poor control over the invoicing, delivery and returns procedure. I can’t use the 3 dresses and I won’t be forced into keeping them, I will keep on until silkfred resolve this issue. I personally will be avoiding this company at all costs in the future. Maybe if they focused more on customer service than social media posts their ratings may improve!!!

Ordered 2xruffle neck tops 26th Jan never arrived contacted customer service told me they've chased it up with seller .. be with me next day. Been ongoing now for 3 weeks.. still no tops requested refund-no tops-no refund now won't reply to my emails. It's only £40 BUT MY £40. So disappointed wish I'd read the reviews first.

I ordered a dress 5 days ago and it arrived today. I am so pleased with garment and is definitely value for money. I am always sceptical about ordering on line but this company exceeded my expectations .. an easy ordering system, updated throughout processing and delivered on time. Would definitely recommend to friends and family.

Always love having a unique piece of fashion from these guys...ordering and refunds easy, if u think it takes a little longer than it should the customer service team always really helpful... the only thing I will say is they do send u a returns label to download but not everyone has a printer therefore a QR CODE only would be handy sent so that the post office can print the free returns label for us... always great service ?

I ordered a dress in February that didn’t arrive and after months of chasing have finally had a refund in May. I won’t use them again, terrible customer service, they really don’t care about you at all. I did keep one dress which was lovely and high quality but I can’t support a company that keeps my money until May and does nothing when they say they will be in touch, I had to chase them every step of the way.

I ordered a few items recently all arrived fairly quickly, but one item was the wrong size which was annoying, however I have to say I was really impressed with how fast this was delt with. helen at silkfred replied to my email straight away and arranged for the correct size to be sent also providing my free returns lable, which of course Is right but it was the speed and friendly/personal manner in which it was handled that made me bother to write a review ? all items were great too!

I am a regular customer of Silkfred and their varity of clothing is brilliant, with new stock arriving all the time, I always find whatever I need for any occasion from Staying at Home Loungewear to Occasion dresses and all at affordable prices. Whenever I have had a query their customer services has been outstanding and I would definitely refer them to my friends and family.

It is now a month (14th April) since I returned a poor quality jacket to Silk Fred for a refund. Having been chasing them up since it arrived back with them and have been fobbed with various excuses, but it is now well outside the promised refund window and still nothing. They seem to be using Covid-19 as an excuse for not processing anything, but I know they've got the item because they signed it back into their depot in April! Still waiting. Will have to try for a third time to get them to issue my refund. From what I've read it seems this is a familiar story with other buyers. Maybe it's time someone reported them to trading standards. Not good. At all.
