Booked 2 movers and a truck with this company over the weekend and on the day I got 2 young boys who were not even over the age of 18 (kid you not there was a third,older man who was the "driver" because they were not legal!). The boys were painfully slow, moving items one by one (they were never in the apartment together at the one time - one stood in the truck while the other came inside) it was painfully slow and an absolute rort for more money. Then the drive (which was about 8km down one straight, main road) took them 2hrs - I kid you not. I was driving ahead of the truck and took me 20 mines. I have absolutely no idea where they went - I am assuming they stopped for lunch on my watch but when I told them I wasn't going to pay for a 2hr drive they got extremely aggressive.
Also about 4 items of my furniture was broken/snapped.
Do not use when there are so many good companies out there. Absolute joke.

Confirmed the move with them 2 days prior & they emailed later that night saying they had been unable to contact me & were cancelling the move...what the??? I didn’t see the email till move day & had spent hours upon hours preparing. Had to pay hundreds extra in rent as I couldn’t get out in time. Thanks for nothing but a major headache 6 bros. Don’t even think about calling them :(

We booked Six Brothers Removalist for our 3 bedroom apartment move from Hornsby area to Mosman.
We have moved a number of times in the last 3 years and this was by far the worst experience.
Two elderly quarrelsome men showed up and the whole move was an endless chain of disputes, complaints and cigarette breaks. Our requests to wrap the fragile furniture when moving was responded to harshly (and it was not an issue at all in any of our previous moves). The whole move took over 7 hours, despite our intense help (carrying boxes back and forth) and cost almost 900 dollars. Without our help it would easily take at least 2 hours longer.
We are glad it is over and will never engage with this company again.

I moved my 1bdrm apartment from Gladesville to Ryde on a Monday. The phone staff were friendly and helpful. The removalists ( 3men) Ayed and Abdullahad and I missed the name of the 3rd fellow...were polite, took care of my furniture and treated me with respect.

It was myself and my friend overseeing the move. Both women.

I was quoted a high price with the recommendation I go for 3 movers as I had 6 flights of stairs. The quote I was given was comparable to other quotes Id received but I didnt read the reviews. They were a little slow at times but thats because they carried a lot of heavy things down 60 stairs....they did speak to each other in their mother tongure...but that was for ease of communicating instructions to each other. They were a little cavalier with some items but nothing was broken and I was very grateful for their service. I certainly was pooped after doing my bit!

They took direction well and listened and assured me when I had concerns. There was a little bit of language barrier with the others but Ayed was fantastic and everyone was very nice.

I would reccomend these particular movers but I would manage my expectations for customer service skills and allow for cultural difference.

I would use them again.

Six brothers helped me with a 3 bedroom move and i couldnt have been happier. They were nice and fast. They didnt stop to take a break, great work guys!

Had a $50 deposit confirmed booking with this dodgy company for sat 23/11 for 7am to 7.30am. By 8am no truck. I tried calling the office no response! I left many messages. At 9.15am!!!!!! They decide to call me apologising that that there must have been a computer error!!! Many customers are calling us today also!! We might be able to get a truck to you between 11am and 3pm!!!! Told him to get farked!! I would probably be still waiting at 4pm!!! I regret not reading the dodgy reviews on this company. Their website says excellent customer service!!! Freaking hilarious!!! Do not use them!!! Avoid!!!!

I booked move for a 2 bedroom unit to move about 2-3km down the road. I specifically requested a 3 person move and a large truck. The truck arrived and of course it was 2 people and a small truck. The immediately told me it would take a number of trips and probably around 10hrs.
I think spoke to someone over the phone and they gave me the option of carrying but they would give me a wopping $2/hr discount. I said no and requested what I ordered. I then got a call from the 3 man crew and was told they would arrive about 5PM which would mean the move would run well into the night. In the end I had to leave it all to the next day which was great as everything was packed. Actual movers on the next day were quite good and didnt waste any time.

After a 10:30-11:30am promised arrival time, they arrived just before 2pm. They couldn't find the loading dock so more time wasted. Didn't communicate well. They took an hour to drive the goods to our place, a journey that took us 35 minutes. They asked for more money when they were going over the two hours (because they got lost and took their time on the return journey) and kept the goods in the truck as ransom. I had to fight for the fee I'd already negotiated with the office. Very disappointing.

They showed up 2 hours late for and didn't finish until after 1am. Damaged furniture, dropped boxes, took rest breaks every 20mins and even after all that overcharged us and the lead driver got aggressive bordering violent when I challenged the overcharging.

The ethics of Six Brothers are deplorable - they have withheld over $3000 which should have been refunded to us months ago. The customer service team seem friendly but unreliable in delivering on any promises made. I suspect the long term outlook for this business is not good.

This is the second time we have Six Brothers Removalists. The two young men who came to our house to help us move were both so clever. I deeply appreciate their help and care. Highly recommend, fantastic service very helpful, will definitely be using there company in the future.

We have done 8 moves in the last 12 years, these guys were the absolute worst. On the day their truck was too small and we had to book another, doubled our cost. Then they cause damage to our furniture and property, which had to be repaired / thrown out. We got boxes from them, all of which were second hand and some unusable at a cost of $4,5 / box. We have returned them plus additional ones and we are still waiting for our refund months later. What was suppose to cost us $1200 for a 4 bed move, is currently sitting at $2600. Don't get boxes from them!!

I have just arrived home from helping a friend to move today with 6 Bothers - she has not moved!!
When I booked the job for her (she has very little money and we were helping to pay for this) I asked about any extra costs that may be incurred. I was assured there wouldn't be any BUT that was not the case!! $50 for every bed to be dis-assembled. $40 to wrap a TV stand (that had only cost her $50 on EBay) Lounges were wrapped for $50 that we hadn't asked them to wrap and could have been protected with the blankets they had in the truck. And so it went on....The attitude of the removalists was unpleasant and unhelpful. In the end we dismissed them as the job was going to cost approximately $1000 to move to a house 8mins away!! As it is we have had to $200 for a job not done!
I don't not like writing negative reviews about anyone or anything but feel compelled to do so about this company to warn others.
The one star is to acknowledge Stephanie in the office who I spoke to this morning when cancelling the job, otherwise it would be 0 stars!

All the reviews are accurate - I only wish I had read them before I booked this company 4 weeks before my move. The booking process itself was very professional although probably because they take a $100 deposit from you.
They called the day before to confirm the move between 7am-9am on the Saturday and was told I would be contacted 30 mins before they arrived. No show and no call. Tried calling the company to find out what was happening but guess what, its outside business hours! Isn't Saturday the busiest day for removalists?? The "emergency number" did not work either because obviously the message bank was full with complaints of the same nature. After 2.5 hours of waiting, received a call from someone who I could not understand. Told them I had to organize another company at very short notice because they hadn't shown up. The other company was very professional, competent and fast.
On Monday, I emailed their "resolutions" team to complain and to obtain my $100 deposit back. They get 1 star for doing this quickly. Was told there had been another issue on Saturday with the emergency line - seems that is a common issue according to the reviews. When I told the customer service rep I wish I had read the reviews before booking them, she tried to tell me they were competitor reviews...yeah right.
Having now read these terrible reviews, seems like it was a blessing "Six Brothers" didn't show up. Who needs that incompetence when trying to move house.

I booked a move for Sunday 3rd June and was told the removalists would come between 11am - 3pm. At 2:55pm they called and said they were held up on a job but would be there within the next hour. At 4pm they still hadn't turned up so I tried calling the number that had called me but it kept going to voicemail. I then tried Six Brothers office number but no one answered and I couldn't leave a message. I kept trying the removalist number who had called me and at 5:30pm he finally called back and said they couldn't do the job today. I asked what I was meant to do and he said call Six Brothers. I said I already have and there's no answer so he said he would try and arrange someone else to do my move tomorrow (Monday) as he wasn't working. An hour later I called and left 2 messages and he called back another hour after that and said he had arranged for guys to do my move 7am the next morning. So I had to take an emergency day off work.
All of the above is not the problem as things happen outside of people's control and I appreciate removalists can sometimes get held up. However the customer service (if you can call it that) I experienced afterwards was outrageous.

So first of all the guys doing the removal tell me that I have to pay to wrap mattresses so they're not damaged in the truck EVEN THOUGH it clearly says on the Six Brothers website that this is included.

Secondly they charged me $80 extra for wrapping 1 TV and 1 fridge which they did not explain up front. $80?? Are you serious?

Thirdly, they wanted to charge another $100 for taking 1 bed (disassembled by the way) and a sofa up the stairs of my new home. I explained to them that I clearly declared when I got a quote and then subsequently booked the service, that there was a small staircase (literally 4 stairs) at the starting location and a staircase at the other end and was told this was included in the quote. I felt that I was being bullied into paying more because my partner was at work and I was a woman dealing with it on my own.

During the move I called Six Brothers to let them know what had happened on Sunday. The woman I spoke to (I wish I had written down her name) provided the worst phone service experience I've ever had. She offered me a $7 reduction in the half hourly fee and asked me if I was happy with that. When I said no I'm not, she became quite rude. She asked me what I would be happy with and I replied I'd be happy to not have to pay anything given they didn't turn up and left me in the lurch on Sunday and I had to take a day off work to do this move. She said "well who's going to pay the removalists then?" to which I replied I thought Six Brothers should. She said she was not authorised to offer any more than $7 so I suggested she speak to someone who is authorised. She put me on hold and came back on a few minutes later and said they could reduce the fee by $10 and am I happy with that? I said no I'm not happy with that, I still don't think it's very good. So then this woman got aggressive and said that unless I confirm I'm happy with her offer then she'd have to stop my move and order the removalists to unpack the truck with my furniture on it (now 2 hours into the packing!). I said: are you threatening me? Because it certainly sounds like you are. You can't unpack the truck now, we're halfway through the move! To which she replied that she was offering me a good deal and unless I said I was happy with it she would stop the move and order them to unpack. I said just go ahead with the move but I'm not going to say "I'm happy" that's just nonsense. She then got all huffy and said don't swear at me blah blah blah. I said please just process the transaction and I don't want to talk to her about it any further.

My recommendation - stay away from Six Brothers. They contract out the actual moves and then don't take any responsibility for their contractors plus the customer service is deplorable.

Ricky managed to arrange us a replacement removalist on our moving day itself when I-move decided to cancel us when we’re already all packed up and ready to go. Ricky was emphatic of the situation and went above and beyond to help us out. Fadi and Diyir who are the removalist are both professional and did an amazing job. They’re careful with our things and we’re very pleased with their service. Not a single scratch or damage item! So impressed! Will definitely recommend Six Brothers and engage them again in future. Keep up the good work!

Hired this company to move from my one bedroom apartment in Newtown I explained to the receptionist that the apartment complex does under ground parking but if there truck may still not fit so the may have to park on the street she says that’s fine and booked for a Removalist. The Removalist came they couldn’t fit there car in the underground car park then there was there was all this frustration because the Removalist [name removed] kept wenching and carrying on like child that he wouldn’t park on the street because he didn’t want to get a parking ticket and that it would take like 15 min just to move furniture from my apartment (so news flash fools I’m paying you to move my furniture not to wine and wench over a 15 meter walk from my apartment to your and back and to add to that my partner was there and his nephew came along to help with moving furniture but [name removed] just kept wenching how it can’t be done and canceled and and walked away I then had to call another Removalist company that had no problem with parking on the street and having to walk back and forth but then damn morons at six brother Removalist charged me for doing damn all but wenching and complaining I then tried to call the office no one picked up no one called absolutely no customer service not even a tax invoice I don’t understand how this business is still up and running this business is a massive ripoff bunch of scammers that take your money and screw off.

I Booked Six Brothers Removals, also known as We Move You Australia, to supply boxes, pack, move, unpack & collect boxes at the other end. On arrival the men refused to unpack at the other end so the day started with a dispute. It finished with a dispute when they refused to unpack about 10 boxes.
Six Brothers put through an un agreed amount to my credit card charging for;
1/ Fuel levy $30 - We had in writing there would be nil charge for petrol

2/ Bubble/shrink wrap $50 - There was no bubble/shrink wrap used on the day and it was not discussed/advised

3/ Heavy items 60k+ $150 - This was not advised on the day and when asked what it was it for I received no reply.

4/ $50 deposit paid for the move and not refunded

5/ $300 deposit paid for the boxes and not refunded
My emails and phone calls have been ignored.
