This is by far the worst company ever.I bought a 12mil clear solar cover, exept it is not 12mil but 5mil.
Upon me calling them they wanted to know how I came to that conclusion. First, I am european and grew up with mil and then I used a ruler. I was told that is not accurate way to mesure.
ARE YOU KIDDING ME? HAVE YOU INVENTED A NEW METRIC SYSTEM?
Do not buy from solarcovers.com they simly do not care for their customers. So, now I am stuck with a cover that does not do a heating job and they do not want to pay to take it back and send me a correct one. Big fat liars, I am disappointed to say the least.

Responding to an ad promising same day shipping, I purchased 2 solar covers. After nine days I have learned that the product has not shipped, the company does not have the cover I ordered in stock, and the company ordered the covers with yet another company to cover my order. Despite repeated calls, they are unable to tell me if the order was ever processed at this mysterious "other company" and can provide no information on my order. When asked to cancel the order and refund the money, they said they couldn't do that because its possible, after 9 days, the order has shipped and they just don't know it. They have no given me the name of the company actually processing the order, and they never call me when the promise to do so.

My solar cover came one day after ordering with free shipping! It fits pretty good and seems similar in quality to the one it is replacing which lasted a few years. It cost a lot less than those on Amazon that appear to be the same. I had checked this site before I ordered and was a little hesitant but gave it a shot anyway because of the price. So I felt that I should write something from a satisfied customer. For the record I bought a 15X30 Oval 8 mil standard (3 yr warranty) for $53 plus my 8% tax and free shipping. I wasn't promised anything else with the cover but it shipped in a heavy duty bag that seems fine for storage. However I put mine on a reel so I don't need it but I'll keep the bag around for something. As far as the smoothness of shape, it does indeed look kind of uneven on the curves but so did my last one - doesn't hurt anything and isn't noticeable when on the water. So I'm happy so far but if it doesn't last at least 3 years I'll be back singing a different tune.

Purchased two covers for two different pools in the last two years, second one was supposed to come with a free grommet set, it did not. I called and they sent the grommet set out. Nothing but good things to say, shipping was good.

I placed an order for a cover a week back. The site said GUARANTEED IN STOCK on the cover I selected. It was a 16mil 16x32 clear cover. Free shipping and 10 yr warranty too! I shoulda known better! Placed the order with Solarcovers.com but received an email confirmation of the order from Poolsupplies.com who indicated the cover was backordered. After a week and not hearing any followup emails, I went to the website...voila guaranteed in stock was still showing on the cover I ordered. I phoned the order desk and asked if they had such and such in stock? Oh Yes sir! We can ship it tomorrow morning, was the reply. So I asked that they FILL MY EXISTING ORDER since it is in stock...OH I am sorry. You need customer service, but they are closed now. Call back tomorrow. So we called the next day. Waited for 20 minutes on hold three different times. After first long wait, got an operator who took my info and said the next available Customer service rep would call me right back. After four or five hours waiting for the call, we called again. Another long wait, then got a customer service person who said I am transferring you to Tom. Click. and we were dumped in Tom s voicemail WHO never called back after four more hours. Third call and another long wait, got a customer service person who said it would be available NEXT WEEK (TWO WEEKS after the order). They commented things like It is June what do you expect? It is not our fault the supplier did not send enough. Finally they indicated they would give us 20% off our NEXT order... SHOOT We will NEVER order from them OR the parent company or any OTHER firm that ends up at Poolsupplies.com. We cancelled the order, but they refused to give a cancellation number. They said I will give it to my manager. We HOPE they will not charge us for the cover and have that whole battle, too.
What a WASTED day and STILL no cover

Our ultimate solar cover from 2012 started to tear and fall apart and I called Solar Cover and the warranty didn't cover the worn damage. I ordered the clear 16 mil cover on sale and it was delivered quickly. When it arrived it was the wrong size and I called Ray in customer service and he made sure we received the correct size within a few days. It was nice to actually talk to someone in the USA and get great customer service!

Purchased a solar cover in March and opened to use on my pool in May (in Nebraska you don't open your pool before then). Found the cover was Oval instead of Rectangle, which was what I needed. Called to make an exchange or return and the company flat refused - even though the cover was not used. Apparently their management is incapable of understanding when a 30-day return policy should be waived in order to provide fair customer service. I will gladly pay more to a company that treats it's customers with respect.

My 18ft Clear solar cover, 5 years old, was showing irregular wear. I send then pictures and they said it was covered under warranty.

FYI - The cover costs $65 new with free shipping. So the warranty replacement case is more than a new cover due to insane shipping and handling costs. Their 15% offer on a new cover is still not the 50% warranty I was owed.

Amazon has these listed at the same $65 with free shipping. My choice is clear- do not give this company $$.

Customer service was prompt and nice. Too bad their business practices are horrible.

** I also was only expecting a 30% prorated price after 5 years per their clear listed warranty. I would have been fine with that on the $65 price and a reasonable S&H rate.

I ordered a 20x40 pool cover. We received a 21 X 37 pool cover. I can deal with 1 foot over on the side, but 3 feet short? I contacted them.. They wanted pictures, no problem I get that. I sent 5 pictures clearly showing the cover was short. They said not good enough. I sent 4 more pictures. This time, no response. I contacted them again, no response. Their product is defective and their customer service is non-existent. I will not buy from them again.

Just ordered a 16 Mil solar cover item no 469155 and I will NEVER give this company any more of my money. We ordered this SAME cover 4 years, same item no and it is clearly NOT the same cover! I wonder if it is even a 8 Mil! I ordered a heavier cover because we live in an area that is unusually more windy than other locations. The cover doesn't even cover all of the water! 4 years ago we had to trim it to make it fit which was great, not anything extra to be able to cut this time! The material is so cheap I doubt it will even last one season. My neighbor also ordered a 16 Mil from a different company and her's IS like our old cover, the right one!!! DO NOT GIVE THIS COMPANY ANY OF YOUR MONEY!!! Theirs a reason there is NOT reviews on their webpage!!!

Solar cover lasted only one year on an indoor pool. Attempted warranty claim and company made excessive requests for multiple pictures at various angles back and forth. I showed several photos of the cover literally disintegrating. They denied the warranty claim based the fact that the disintegration was not occuring at a seam. I have multiple disintegrated sections and detached bubbles floating in my pool. Save your money and buy a roll of plastic wrap - it will hold up better than their covers and their customer service is very disappointing.

Bought the 16 mil clear blanket with a 10 yr warranty. Only use it 4 months a year, and the third year the plastic disintegrated. Checked on warranty and found out it only covers the seams coming apart. The cover is thick and doesn't have vent holes. It was hard to work with and appeared cheap. Don't waist your money. Buy a cheap blue cover and expect to replace it every other year.

I have been buying solar pool covers for 11 years and this is the first time I got only one season out of it. This is the item name...Clear Diamond Solar Cover - 16 Carat (Mil).
