Intercontinental relocation of pets will never be a stress-free experience but I am so grateful to Starwood for successfully minimizing my anxiety as much as it was possible to do so. My relocation involved moving my cat and German Shepherd dog from San Francisco to Greater Manchester in the UK. After hearing/reading horror stories, my initial decision was to handle their move myself. It soon became clear that the intricacies of pet transport into the UK were beyond my capabilities. My situation was also made more challenging by the Coronavirus pandemic. I was initially encouraged to reach out to Starwood by all the positive online reviews and my first interaction with Adam was very reassuring in that they could provide the tailored service I was looking for and that they would make an effort to assign Sarah as my Pet Relocation Concierge as she was very experienced in handling USA/UK animal transportation. Sarah was fantastic. Right from the start, she was personable, patient and helpful. She responded very quickly (within 24 hrs including a 5 hr time difference) to all of my detailed questions and requests for information. My dog required a custom-built crate and this was all arranged by Sarah using their local Bay Area pet transport contractor. I made full use of the resources and experience provided by Starwood and Sarah including: • Measurement of my dog for his customized crate and crate construction • Storage of the crate until day of travel • Review of the both rabies certificates ahead of travel so I had time to get revised certificates/vaccinations to ensure compliance with the requirements • Emailing of links to purchase water bowls, crate mats, cat travel crate and accessories that met the airline requirements • Links and contact information for the contractors handling the pet transport to and from the airports at either end thus allowing me direct contact with them. These sub-contractors were also excellent - very responsive to all my questions, reassuring when learning of my concerns and providing updates on the pets when in their care • Preparation of the health certificate paperwork for the vet and direct communication with the vet in order to ensure he understood what was required • Speedy review of signed documents to ensure they were correct Sarah’s attention to detail was second to none. With Starwood, you get what you pay for and more, since peace of mind when moving pets is priceless. I couldn’t imagine using any other company if I was to need such a service in future.

Starwood's service was great and got our beloved Ollie safely across the pond in the middle of a pandemic. Sarah and her team were great and I'd be happy to work with them again. The only suggestion I have is to perhaps use a coordinator near or in the same time zone as the individual moving. The time difference between Denver and London led to some communication delays (on my end too) that would likely have evaporated had Sarah and I been in the same time zone. Sarah did her absolute best to respond (and she did well). It simply would've been nice to also have someone state side to talk to when the time difference didn't allow communication with Sarah.

Just let me say first: Thank you, thank you, thank you! Our initial plan this year to have our kitty wait out the rest of his rabies quarantine in the states and bring him with us to Japan in May went completely off the rails due to... well, everything. We were unsure how or when we were going to be able to reunite our family. Floolf has made it here safely and is his cuddly purring self. I want to give a shout out to Adam Melton for answering all of my questions upon initial contact and Kotaro Kino for getting Floolf through that last mile home. Sarah Wittington was absolutely wonderful. She explained in great detail what we needed and how to get Floolf here. She was able to answer all of my questions promptly even with the time difference issues and I just can't express how much her hard work is appreciated by us. I would absolutely recommend your services to anyone else planning an international move like we did. I wish all of you the best!

Ryan was totally super. She was very responsive, accessible (taking calls after hours for example), and executed Rex’ travel really well. And she knew her stuff. Rex arrived safely and the kids are so happy to be reunited. Thank you so much Ryan!!

Excellent service with every person I encountered. Ryan did a great job of arranging the whole thing and staying on top of things until my pet arrived at his destination. The guys who transported my pet to L.A. were quite amazingly kind and helpful and at the tail end Lenny did a great job of delivering him to his destination. I couldn't have asked for better care.

The thought of transporting your pet internationally has got to be one of the most stressful facets of moving, no question. They are family. It’s also quite a complicated process with enough paperwork and appointments that can make your head spin. To have someone in your corner, handling it all, guiding you and most importantly making sure your furry family is taken care of, is paramount. That is what Starwood does. Our coordinator, Sarah W, was amazing from start to finish. Patient, attentive and professional through all my craziness and worrying. I cannot thank her, and Starwood, enough for getting our boy safely across the pond.

Starwood animal transport was amazing. Professional, caring, knowledgeable, responsive. Especially Sarah Whittington who was assigned to me and my two dogs. She was kind and patient with me and all my questions and nervousness. She walked me through the process step by step and Always responded to me in a timely manner. I have diabetic dog and she made sure to do everything to ensure he would be safe and get his medicine. She kept me informed the day of their flight with photos and updates. I would recommend this service to anyone and their pets. She put my mind at ease when I was of course worried for my pups.

Everything was awesome. The sales process was awesome, my concerns were addressed and I felt good going into the process. From first email to getting my dog, the transport process was seamless and I felt I was in the hands of seasoned professionals. I couldn't be happier!

I was having an 11 week old Irish Wolfhound puppy flown from Chicago to Phoenix. I was worried beyond words. Everyone from Starwood was wonderful, assuring me all would be ok. Ryan and Steve were especially great. They sent pictures and updates of every part of the trip. Even asked me to contact them when I got him on my end so they would know all went well. I would give our experience with Starwood and especially our pet travel coordinator Ryan and excellent 5/5. Throughout the entire process she was incredibly communicative even to the point of answering my partners email at 5:50am eastern time while our dog was in route. Ryan made what was could have been a very stressful process a much easier with quick, clear communication. The only reason I didn't give starwood a 5 out of 5 was due to the communication among the UK team. There was an issue where the driver, from what I understand, didn't clearly communicate the ETA to Ryan, the UK contact and on to me and my partner which left us with about an hour and half gap with no info on where our dog was. Ryan did get try to the bottom of it as quickly as possible but I feel like the ground transport was a bit more seamless and transparent on the US side.

I don’t usually give reviews but Starwood definitely deserves one. Their help getting our two Cocker Spaniels from Boston to Dubai couldn’t have been better. Clear instructions, regular follow-ups, smooth from beginning to end. If only I could have hired them to move our furniture, too. (Haha)

Starwood was amazing to work with through the complex process of transporting our dog from the US to Australia. They were friendly, timely, and organized getting all of our paperwork and vet documentation in order. When our dog unexpectedly had to stay an extra night in the US due to a problem with misplaced export paperwork, Starwood made it right and ensured our dog was able to travel the next day.

It has been 6 months since we moved from Seattle to the UK and I am still so glad we chose Starwood. I was very nervous about moving our two cats such a long distance, but they truly took care of everything and were professional and compassionate along the way. My relocation was mostly managed by my employer, so I had specific flight requirements and Starwood was able to work with them. Our cats arrived looking more rested and relaxed than me, and we had no troubles with documentation.

We used Starwood to relocate our 'boys' from New York to London and I only have great things to say about the service. I called about 6 companies for quotes, and Starwood called me within about 10 mins. Everything was explained fully and I was given a range of options and prices. They were far and away the most impressive. We felt reassured and confident every step of the way. Ashley kept us up to date with everything and Christina and Anthony even allowed our dogs to stay with them whilst waiting for their flight. The dogs arrived in great shape and none the worse for the experience. I would happily recommend Starwood unreservedly. I wouldn't be arriving until a few days after my dog and so he would be going into kennels until I arrived. Starwood had to find a second flight that would accept him and his giant sky kennel on a flight from London to Manchester and then transport him over the Pennines to the kennels. Luckily they were able to do this and have him kenneled at Manchester Airport. The driver who picked him up at my house and took him to the airport was wonderful and surprisingly my boy got into the van without hesitation and sent me a photo of his arrival at the airport. Just a huge thank you to you all at Starwood on both sides of the "pond".

First time ever using a a pet mover for my "kids". I couldn't be more satisfied, I'm in the middle of a stressful move and can't even remember my home address let alone move three dogs on my own. My dogs mean the world to me and Starwood employees made it a complete breeze, they advised me on what paperwork I would need, they double checked each document and made sure everything was correct for a smooth transition from Hawaii to California. Ryan was so helpful and understanding even when i would forget to return an email she always made sure to keep me updated and reach out to make sure things went smooth. They picked my pups up from my home, dropped them off at the airport and did the same thing as soon as they landed to their final destination. I received pictures each time, I had a link to the the flight and was able to see how close the plane would be to landing and pretty much was kept up to date with the entire trip. My heart is at ease and I feel so much more relaxed in this chaotic move. I would definitely use starwood again in the future ❤️.

Sarah was amazing she was so supportive from start to finish. She was extremely responsive and reassured me as there were some very tight deadlines, against all odds we got our cat from NYC to LHR in the middle of a pandemic! Sarah was so wonderful throughout! Our cat is safe and well and all was executed flawlessly by Starwood!
