I've used Steam for years to buy and play games. I've tried other launchers, but I always went back to Steam. I love the non-game features that other similar game launchers just don't have such as achievements. Achievements give another reason to replay a game that I might otherwise never look at again. Trying to collect them all can be fun in itself. There are some reviews stating that they got fraudulent charges on their credit cards from Steam while they never used the site. I can say with almost certainty that these charges are not the fault of Steam itself, but scammers who trade in Steam games and keys. They go to grey market sites and sell games for below their market price. They add the buyer on Steam, then "gift" them the game using your card. The buyer of said game will be the one out of pocket when you make the charge backs to your credit card after Steam revokes the game from their account. But they know the risks when they buy on the grey market, so no need to feel sorry for them. The scammer will have gotten away with their cash though. And you get your money back via changeback. This is what happens in most of those cases.

Over the years I've tried and used multiple gaming launchers, and Steam has by far remained my favourites throughout the years. It's also the one with the least scandals, I believe, and has a relatively easy to access customer support. It's easy and safe to buy games, it's very easy to use and has a very clear lay-out, and the sales are really nice. I once bought about 7 games for 5 euros, as well as been gifted 11 games for a similar price. It has a lot of major games, and it's very easy to invite friends to games as well as accept invites and join other games.

I love Steam. There is always a new (or old) game for me to find to play. Lots of free to play games as well as ones you do pay for. Their sales (summer, winter, etc) tend to have something from my wishlist. I also love how many games have bundles available, bringing down the overall price if you buy a pack/collection.

I use steam daily for playing games and own 300+ games on steam. The best part about steam is there are many free to play games and apart from them the prices are low, with a steam sale which happens almost 5 times in a year you can get a game for fraction of its original price.

When I totally lost my email (service provider shut down its services), their support helped.me.in geting back access to it. As. Well the steam sales are. Great thing, so.are the steam. Recommendations.

Today, recieved an alert via SMS, asking me if the 199.24 charge was authorized by me for this Fraudulent website. 5 minutes later another unauthorized charge for 499.67. I have never even heard of this website. Im so pissed! Called bank filled a Fraudulent charge claim. Now I have to wait to get my money back. Seems like from other reviews this has been going on for years. Sick people, Karma is a $#*!.

Make sure you test the games as soon as you buy them though. Threw down twenty on a game that wouldn't run on my pc and waited to long to refund it. Other than that, it's ok. Not a great selection of games though. :(

I've been a user of steam for over 10 years and during this whole time I have never had a complaint with them. They have great refund policies, platform features and prices. In all honesty if I was rich I would donate money to steam for how much they have done for the PC platform, making it an option for people like me to finally leave console. THANK YOU GABEN!

It's just really good. I still try to buy games from GOG (0 DRM), if a game's released across both distributors, but the usability and design of Steam is just really good. They also do in house streaming, so I can play the latest blockbusters on my sh*tty 5 year old laptop while my wife watches "Strictly Come Bake Off With Me". Did I mention the Sales? Honestly, with a bit of patience you can load up on a years worth of AAA gaming every Summer for the price of a single new PS4 release.

Help I'm addicted to video games! This site tries so hard to protect your credit card/s, your account, and your inventory it's a bit of a hassle, but its so much better than losing all that information or getting it stolen!

So a few days ago I tried to purchase a bundle before the fall sale ended, but ran into issues as I could not get the bundle to add to my cart it would only offer the purchase as a gift option. I was trying to buy the counterstrike bundle but it would not add as I already have the free version of csgo in my library. At first I thought this was some sort of glitch on my mobile app so I restarted the app still nothing I attempted to figure out how to remove the free version as I thought maybe that was the issue but was unable to figure it out how to on the app. I've had demos of other titles before or other free versions and have not needed to remove them in order to upgrade to the full game or purchase the full game so naturally being that these are valve products and steam is a valve owned company youd expect them to have it worked out so people don't run into these issues, and to ice the cake without removing the free version I can add csgo to my cart and proceed to check out without receiving the product already owned or in library notification on the cart screen. Yet when I try to add the bundle i can't because it claims csgo is in my library. I mean yes I could have just bought the game by itself as it would add to the cart but when csgo was on sale for $8.47 and the bundle of all 3 counterstrike games was on sale for $8.29 it seems kind of illogical to pay more for less. All this said I sent in a ticket sharing my frustration and questioning how this issue was occurring well expressing my confusion that it will let me add the game but not the bundle, and after waiting a day and a half received responce that basically says sorry there's nothing we can do for you, more a less it's not in steams policy to offer customers anything for having a bad experience with there service followed by the instructions on how to remove the free game from my library and the recommendation that I put the game on my wishlist and wait and see if it goes on sale followed by a shameless plug for there weekly sales and daily specials. Here's a company that makes billions in revenue annually from people like myself who regularly spend on games, and then as a customer you reach out in frustration over a bad experience caused by issues with their store and they respond with sorry for the inconvenience, its not our policy to offer items at discounts before or after sales, so if you want the game your going to have to buy it at full price or wait, but in the mean time be sure to check our specials section for more great deals.... Great policy tell an upset customer who spends money every week on products that the only help you can provide is the advise to look at the other products that can be bought... Never in my life have I had a support representative try to sell me products when I'm complaining about a problem I had with their service while trying to purchase a product. I didn't request the game for free or at a discount for my trouble, but did expect that they would make some sort of gesture. I sent in the ticket questioning why I was experiencing the issue to begin with and why I can add the game to my cart but not the bundle this was never answered instead I received steams policy on offering discounts outside of sales and steams sale Schule like it's not advertised enough everytime I open steam weekly deals deal of the day. None the less as this is drawing out a bit long I'll end off with this after receiving the response I was less than satisfied and responded again in dissatisfaction and will have to wait another day and a half to see if I get another response and weather or not it will yelid any different results, I will 're write or post a new review if steam manages to show some better customer service support but as it stands now steam don't care about individual customers they make more than enough to survive if they loose a few customers so they don't go out of the way and try to give you a reason to continue using their services if you've had a issue they shrug it off. In contrast I messaged amazon a week ago after receiving 2 different shipping estimates when I placed an order. I just wanted to know which one was correct so I'd be home when it arrived, they clearly explained how their shipping system works let me know which estimate was the correct one and went above and beyond in apologizing for my confusion and credited my account a free month of prime which was worth more than the item I had purchased to begin with. Some company's care about their customers others only care about money I'll let you decide what type of company steam is.

I started getting charges $100 at a time from them but I have never heard of them until I looked at my pending charges. 3 charges one day, each for $100.00. There doesn't appear, in their website, to have any phone numbers to contact them about these fraudelent charges. Going to have to cancel my credit card so they can not get access to my money. If I had a choice of negative stars, I would give them a negative 100 for being a SCAMMER trying to steal money from credit card information they purchased on the black market.

Ive never hard of this website and was charged $200 this morning. Luckily I check my account everyday, called my bank right away and they cancelled my debit card and are sending me a new one. How the hell did they get my info? Also it seems like this has been happening for a few years now and it hasn't stopped,. WTF!!!! This is scary $#*! and really pisses me off. I feel like this could happen again!

For a while last year, I bought games on Steam a lot. Like, A LOT lot. Frequent discounts practically made sure of this. Spent endless hours in front of my PC instead of going outside. That changed thankfully, but really has nothing to do with the quality of Steam services. Anyway, the selection of available titles is massive and customer service is fairly decent: I had no problems returning a game I bought after it turned out my PC was unable to run it. I try to stay away from games nowadays, but, yeah, STeam is pretty solid.

I've bought many top games like Final Fantasy 15, Devil May Cry, Monster Hunter World, etc, from steam at 70 % off prices. I love steam. There were a few times I bought games I've never heard of to try them out. Ended up that I didn't like playing them and they weren't fun. I was only about two hours into those game(s). Steam, gave me a full refund within two hours for the games I didn't like. They are reliable and responsible. I highly recommend them!

just got charge 450 AED from my debit card and i dont have any idea about this company..never used my card of any online payments and im wondering how they got all the info for the transactions to pushed through.. called the bank already and blocked my account and hoping for the amount to be credited back.. careful everyone.

I don't know what the other reviewers are talking about. I haven't experienced any unwanted charges from my card although I purchase things on Steam through paypal not directly from my card. Older games are on sale very often so its easy to get some games for cheap and you can easily search for free games which are usually pretty good.

I'm a female and currently live with my younger brother and nephew. They are both girls. NONE of us in the house play online games or even heard of steam. I woke up and saw they charged me $47.80 from steam games C. Bellevue WA. . I asked my brother and nephew if they knew of this until later we found out Steam games steals credit and debit card information and uses it. When the bill comes it clearly shows its them so why even try ! . They have connections to Microsoft and they are all in fraud things too. I was charged $59.99 TWO times on Microsoft and later saw Steam charged me too ! Both frauds. :(

My bank account got hacked for $300. never heard of this company. They tried 3 times and the last on try it went through, had to close my account and start again and now waiting for the bank to reimburse me. I see I'm far from the only person this has happened to. This needs to stop.
