We did our research, and decided on two builders, one of which was Summit. Then to get a design that we liked, which was proving to be a mission. One afternoon we visited a Summit display home where we had the good fortune of meeting Todd who designed our home, which we are very happy with! Todd was very patient, thorough, and helpful throughout the entire build.
Our site supervisor Victor was also fantastic, and kept us in the loop for the duration of the build. We were given his mobile number, which was very important to us.. He always addressed any concerns we had, met us on site when needed, and ensued any issues were fixed. Vic obviously has a great rapport with his team of contractors. The site was kept clean and tidy, thanks to Vic. Overall we are very happy, and would definitely recommend Summit and would build again with them!

I’m just over 2 years after the build and sumitt homes after build support is second to none, cracks have just been repaired and repainted, the painting crew were absolute professionals ,I smile when I read all these bad reviews of other builders and think what a good choice I made going to Sumitt Homes,

I have heard all of the horror stories about building a new home - my wife & I were optimistic but not convinced we would find the builder to deliver our dream first home.

I think we went to every display village in Perth looking for our right home design, we spent close to 6 months looking but the one thing which always came obvious was the lack of any builder willing to change the designs to the way wanted them - builders were not happy to move walls, add extra additions etc. Thats till we met Todd from Summit. I think Todd himself swayed us to build with Summit (not to mention we loved the Summit display homes) Todd said he would do something - he did. Plans, phone calls, quotes all professionaly handled and in the time frames he placed. He basically changed totally our Orchard Home Design to suit us and our block - nothing like any builder had done for us previously. I could not recommend more highly Todd's services.

Once we decided on the home prestart followed shortly after _ Therese was fantastic - we had already done some research on what colours we wanted - Therese simply helped make these happen - the process was smooth and enjoyable.

It took 3 months for our build to start - and right from the begining our supervior Lindsay kept us informed and was alawys available to help with questions and queries we had. Lindsay was absolutley fantastic the whole process through, the contractors on site the whole time were QUALITY - we have had hardly any issues with workmanship or quality of work (some very minor issues) The build fom slab to handover took approx 6 months to complete. We absolutley love our new home and the can not give Summit a bigger wrap - if your looking for quality look no further A+++

We are just entering to the construction stage of our first home with SUMMIT (Easy Start) and the service received from the day 1 was exceptional. Our consultant, Daniel Lewis guided us through the process making it really easy for us as first homebuyers. Treated us always as his first priority, reachable any time, very helpful and professional. He was happy to meet us after hours and weekends to take us through to see few lands options and display homes without a hesitation. We were happy with the first land option he showed us and it was perfect. Our financial situation and the credit history was not the best at the beginning. On our first meeting Daniel gave us a lot of information on the home loan procedure, how to build the savings and the credit score. Since then he followed up on everything and directed us to the relevant third parties as necessary to achieve our goal.

Our contract administrator, Danica Watts looked after us since the pre-start meeting and helped us through the process. We had to make some changes even after she sent through all the paper works, but she did all the amendments promptly without any hesitation and sent through the paperwork again for us to sign.

I must say Gary Pope from Westgate finance (introduced by Summit) also provided us with an exceptional service tailored to our situation. Communication between the two teams (Summit & Wesgate) was fantastic and we didn’t even have to worry about a single thing.

Communication is the best thing and they keep us up to date on every single thing happens in our file. It is interesting to look at the online portal everyday and knowing that you are reaching your goal step by step. So far, the overall experience with the SUMMIT Homes team was excellent. Looking forward to the next stage and hoping the rest of the journey would also be a smooth one too.

Our renovation was over two years in the planning and involved a multitude of quotes and meetings with prospective builders. We chose well. Summit were the most open, approachable and understanding. They listened carefully and delivered ideas which made most effective use of our existing house. Potential "problem areas" were effortlessly transformed into design features; Charlie really worked with what we had and was genuinely interested in finding cost-effective solutions. The extra time he put in was greatly appreciated.

Irina took over in the preparation phase and was superbly efficient in every sense. Communication was prompt, friendly and reassuringly clear. All questions and queries were dealt with expertly; we always felt we were in good hands.

Adam took over when we got to site and everything progressed without a hitch. He had an excellent team of friendly, efficient and reliable tradesman who produced high quality work at every turn. We valued his solution-focused approach; it helped us think clearly during the process and come up with a number of little design alterations along the way.

We are thrilled with the end product. It exceeded expectations and we would have no hesitation in recommending Summit to any prospective home renovators.

This is our second time building with Summit Homes and like the first time we are extremely happy with our home. Value for money, quality built home, great customer service from the New Homes Consultant (Luke Matthews) to Prestart Administrator (Marie Vitanza) and especially our Site Supervisor (Marco Palezza), who did his best to make sure we were happy. Thank you Summit Homes we look forward to do it again.

Being first homebuyers and hearing multiple horror stories from friends we were both very nervous in making the decision to pick a builder and home. Looking at multiple display homes I fell in love with a summit design. From start to finish was a breeze and surprisingly caused no drama, nerves or distress.
I met Glenn Williams in our display home where he helped me customize a design to fit our budget and land size and gave multiple options for us until we were happy; he didn’t hound us and was very professional and helpful. Upon being overly happy with Glenn’s work we further met Therese Mason at our prestart meeting whom helped us pick colours and styles that made us so excited about starting the process, she was lovely and friendly and overly helpful, we had the wrong door delivered on site and all it took was one email suggesting it could be wrong and within minutes the correct one was ordered and a few days later Therese had the correct one delivered to our home.
Once we finalized our choices we got introduced to our wonderful site supervisor Marco Palezza. From day one of the build Marco was there on the other end of an email or phone call with a happy and helpful manner. The organization and professionalism of Marco not only surprised myself and partner but also it became clear to friends and family how outstanding he was.
Marco always kept us involved and informed on what was coming up detailing what to expect including specific dates of each task, as soon as Marco made the appointments we were informed.
Myself and my partner walked through the house every now and again and if we found a problem we emailed Marco and it was solved within a few days and if the task was unable to be completed in a few days we were given a date of expected completion. Overall I cannot thank the team involved in the build of our home more, they have kept us informed at every stage and have gone above and beyond to make our journey pleasant and pain free. I can guarantee if we decide to build again Summit Homes will be the only company we build with.
Well-done team!!!

We are currently close to lockup with our second Summit build. This time our block was an unusual size and required a custom design to maximise the space. Our sales rep Tim Quinlivan was amazingly helpful in getting our dream off the ground. Great advice and always available to assist.

Our final inspection was just 2 days ago and we were impressed with the workmanship, it was almost flawless.

We are very thankful to our building supervisor, Marco. He has been so wonderful, helpful, patient, responsible and prompt in responding and acting on any queries that we had along the way. Our portal has always been up to date with photos too.

We have no regrets to have chosen Summit to be our builder. They have the most reliable people that ensures a smooth building journey right from the sales, contracts and construction.

Thank you everyone that has been with us on this journey, especially Marco.

We are proud to have Summit as our builder.

I first met Michael McDonald in October 2016 at the Orchard display home. I loved the house as displayed but needed something a bit bigger and wheelchair accessible for my husband. Michael was fantastic and adapted the plan to better suit our needs and we signed contracts mid November. Pre start was a bit stressful and took longer than we expected due to special needs specifications but once we got to site early April things moved along very quickly. Our construction manager was Victor Sciullo. He was amazing, nothing was too much trouble. I was a regular visitor to the house during the build and if I queried anything he was on to it immediately. The tradies he had working for him were all very professional - Nick and Dimitri (Painters), Keith (Fixer), Sam (Tiler), Aaron (the Plumber) all take pride in their work and are very friendly. Victor kept in regular contact and always kept me updated on progress and what was going to happen next. The Customer Portal you get access to when you sign up is fantastic and a great resource that enables you to know what to expect at each stage of the build. Victor regularly updated with photos as well. We moved in last week and are very happy with the end result.

Job #150884

We have recently completed a significant renovation with Summit Home Improvements - a 1930s Deco era property with a fully renovated original front part of the home keeping Deco era elements, and new extension to the rear. From Design phase with Charlie our consultant we felt in very good hands - superb knowledge of older homes and listened very closely to our vision and design brief. Charlie has a depth of knowledge and for us, who had never renovated before, assisted us greatly through the design/selection phase. Charlie was available throughout the build and remained in contact throughout the process - we think this is exceptional customer service experience for consistency, and to see a project through from design on paper to the finished product!

There was a seamless handover to Irina, the project Coordinator to progress the project from Design to pre-construction phase readiness. Irina is exceptional, professional, and communicates very well - answering all our many questions. We always felt assured things were progressing and welcomed the advice on key decisions. Irina was also available throughout the build and remained in contact throughout the process - as above, an exceptional customer service experience!

Adam was on site project supervisor and brought great experience, knowledge, and energy to the manging the build process for us. He provided timely feedback and communication updates. Always available, on site regularly overseeing the build and was always happy to talk through questions/ideas/provide answers. All of the trades we engaged (and spoke with) speak highly of Adam and their relationship with Summit. There was great teamwork with the many interactions between Irina and Adam as they seem to work seamlessly as a team - the sequencing appeared to be spot on to ensure the job progressed without delay. Every interaction left us feeling assured our build was on track and in good hands!

Overall build time exceeded expectations by months. We observed very few down days, and there was timely communication on the upcoming schedule so we knew what to expect.

Summit respect the community, we had positive feedback from both neighbours on all trades interactions about the behaviour/conduct that was to a high standard (observed and commented on by our neighbours on multiple occasions). Excellent cleanliness of site & surrounds.

Overall experience exceeded our expectations. We have already (& will) happily recommended Summit to others considering a renovation.

I am exceedingly pleased with the quality of my home build, as it evolves from a drawing on paper to bricks and mortar and now teeters weeks from completion. I have just reached lockup. The workmanship and quality is particularly good and I am looking forward to the end result, as I have no doubt that it will be a home to be proud of.

From my first interview with Shaun Lewis then on to my Site Manager Gary Pellington and Contract Manager Cerys Loader, every question I had was answered and their help and suggestions were always relevant. They were always available when I needed them and made me feel important.

I am extremely pleased with Easystart and Summit as a builder and I have recommended to those who have seen the progress of my new home to approach Easystart first, should they decide to build.

We had our home in Secret Harbour built by Summit in 2007 12 months behind schedule and when we enquired why we were told to put up with it or find another builder. I wish we had!
The cornices, floor tiles cracked, the roof still leaks, both showers leak and have damaged the skirting boards as well as moisture damage to the plaster wall. The shower wall tiles need to be removed so that a proper waterproofing membrane can be installed, then new tiles laid at a cost of thousands. Two window frames rattle loosely in the masonry wall were they have not been set in properly.

It took nearly a year to have someone from Summit inspect the property for warranty work than another 18 months before a tradesperson showed up just to reschedule down the track for another 4 months. This is a common stall tactic to push you out of the warranty period. And it worked.

It was 3 and a half years by the time Summit had a qualified and competent trade person attend rather than a handyman botching the plaster and breaking more roof tiles finally showed. Again not all faults were addressed and the process started all over again. Now came the "your out of warranty" argument and many calls to the then Builders registration board who wanted nothing to do with chasing up dodgy builders.

My suggestion is choose very wisely with your builder as this is a big investment and Summit do not care about the customer or its product.

Over a year ago we decided to build our first home. Todd was our sales consultant who had a great deal of knowledge and was willing to help wherever possible. Our prestart meeting was with Isabella who was also very good at her job and was very good at communicating with us over phone and email. Then we finally got building with our building supervisor Marco. Throughout the process I have had to ask several questions and make slight changes who both Isabella and Marco were nothing short of brilliant at assisting us with these wants or needs.

I would recommend building with summit homes. Our final touches to the home are beautiful and I would also recommend the next person who chooses to build with summit to request these three staff members listed above. Having the customer service we experienced made our journey very enjoyable.

Thanks again Todd, Isabella and Marco

We are currently building our new house with Summit Homes and the expertise of our design and building consultant, Tim Quinlivan, has been invaluable. Homes have changed since we last built and Tim has efficiently helped us navigate through the design process and the choice of quality features that will make this house our home, drawing on his experience to suggest options we may not have thought of by ourselves. We are living outside of the region in which we are building however this is not a concern, as both Tim and Paul (our building supervisor) keep us up to date through emails and photos of the building site. We are currently mid-construction and the photos show an organised site and pride in the build through high quality craftsmanship. We cannot emphasise the professionalism of Tim, Paul and the Summit Homes staff which we have met. We highly recommend building with this company.

Our journey with New Generation Homes (NGH) began early in the year at one of their Display Homes, and is now coming to a close with our build having reached practical completion earlier this month - and it has been absolutely fantastic throughout.

Being first home buyers, we had literally hundreds of questions at the start, and no matter how big, small, silly or smart they may have been, every single one was answered patiently and with expertise by our fantastic sales consultant, Samantha Lutey. She was extremely quick, knowledgeable and helpful, going above and beyond to assist us wherever possible, including looking at blocks of land for our design. We had approached NGH based on the positive reviews on this website, and making Sam's acquaintance at the start reassured us that we had made a good choice (and things only got better from there!).

Moving on to Pre-Start, we had Isabella Carr as our Contracts Administrator, and the high level of service and assistance continued. Isabella's breadth of knowledge on both technical and cosmetic aspects of building was just staggering, and she provided some great suggestions whenever we were in doubt. Even after Pre-Start, her communication via Email was stellar, and she helped us all the way until we were totally comfortable signing the all-important final contracts.

And that brings us to the build itself. Wayne Pitcher was our sub-floor supervisor and Jamie McDonald our building supervisor. From the time siteworks commenced right up until the final finishing touches were applied, we were kept informed every step of the way via Emails and the @Home Portal. Both Wayne and Jamie were lightning-quick on Emails, and having the ability to contact your supervisor directly is a real advantage. We're a nitpicky bunch, and hit Jamie with a multitude of questions, comments and requests throughout the build, and every thing was addressed promptly and to our satisfaction - not once did we feel like we had to settle for less. Jamie was fantastic at keeping his tradespeople on their toes, and this is clearly evident in the final build quality - no matter how small or big, every single thing we reported to him for rectification was taken care of.

And last but not the least, we'd like to also acknowledge Zia Mayes, our Accounts contact, who like the rest of the team, was friendly, knowledgeable and helped make the financial side of things go as smoothly as possible.

Based on this experience, we would highly recommend NGH without hesitation. What we thought would be a daunting and difficult experience turned out to be surprisingly pleasant, smooth and enjoyable, and that is purely due to the excellent team of people we dealt with.

To Sam, Isabella, Wayne, Jamie, Zia and anyone else on the NGH team that had a hand in our build - thank you all so very much for our beautiful new home and for making this journey a truly memorable one! :)

I built with SUMMIT HOMES I told them 2 years ago my shower was leaking. They came out and fixed it last year and still leaking. But they have refused to fix the cracked tiles, we now have more crack tiles everywhere roughly 20 of them, my daughter has cut her finger on them as they have open cracks. SUMMIT HOMES have said they won’t come out to have a look at them at all. They have stated to me it’s a Maintanace issue! How can broken tiles be a Maintanace issue when the tiles are suppose to have a life span of 75 years according to the regulation. Is it possible that SUMMIT HOMES have installed the tiles with clement based glue and not flexible glue ?? As tiles just don’t crack after such a short period of time. SUMMIT HOMES are not offering anything I have even bought the spare tiles for SUMMIT HOMES to replace I have asked to speak with SUMMIT HOMES MANAGEMENT and they refused. I never thought that I built this house through a shonky builder. Looking for advice I am setting up a complaint letter to the building commission.... I have been back and forward in emails asking them to come and and have a look at tiles and fix them they have just said you are out of warranty. This is not right so my kids can cut them selfs hopping out of the bath and showers because of poor work. Or work not done right!!!!! I want this fixed !

I am writing this review as an appreciation for the exceptional customer service provided by our consultants, Glenn Williams and our site supervisor, Jamie McDonald.

We had many ideas on our home plan but limited time to select the plan. Glenn was capable to put all our thoughts together and efficiently present them to us. He provided us useful suggestions about construction & interior designs as well as what to prepare for pre-start, so that we could smoothly go on next stage.

We always received Jamie’s helpful prompt replies and he was able to follow up and tackle the problems timely throughout the construction period. The in-depth construction designs that we did not understand were clearly explained and patiently responded. We would like to sincerely thank you for their helps and professional manners. Their efforts are appreciated and we are happy with the final result.

We started our house building journey last June and narrowed the choice down to both Gemmil Homes and New Generation Homes, initially the rep for NG was very good and he answered all our questions etc and was a lot easier to deal with than others we had met. Consequently we were offered a stacker door as standard and this gave us the push to choose NG as the other builder wanted to charge more.

The Contract was a pain in the backside to get sorted, I knew what I wanted generally but getting it across the line was a pain. One thing that amazed me was we requested a price for an alternative ensuite design which came back as an extra $2,000 , we then said no and got the rep to tweak his design which was another amount cannot remember exactly, still not what we wanted and eventually design three was chosen, the price came in very high, I queried it and was told that once a quote was given it stays on your PPA and then they adjust the next design from design 1 etc. So in other word design 1 added a cost on, then when we went to design 2 they worked the figures out based on the cost of design 1 and so on. An absolute ridiculous situation, it is common sense to take the base price and just cost the new design, but not these that was to simple.

Another one was we wanted to upgrade to a 900mm oven we were told it was $961 ok , then my wife saw the double ovens side by side in the display unit and asked about them, the rep said that the 2 ovens would be the same cost!!! How can that be when 1 comes as standard with the house, so basically we got stuffed for over $900 for 1 single oven.

I could go on and on the Sales process and administration side of the business is an absolute joke! and in reflection I should of paid more attention to the costs involved instead of getting embroiled in the excitement my wife had of building our new home.

We eventually started our build on 27th October 2012, this was in stark contrast to the previous process I had endured, whilst we had a few problems along the way both the supervisor and Construction Manager sorted them with minimal fuss. Despite no work being done over the christmas break , the house was completed and handed over the week before Easter. On PSI we could only find 9 faults all of which bar 1 were sorted as agreed, the only 1 not sorted was due to a supplier issue and not the fault of the builder.

The quality of the build is first class and believe me after the hassle i had with the sales process I looked for everything I could.

It is such a shame the Sales side cannot match their Construction side, I admit I was probably a pain in the backside to the builder and had a few heated discussions with the Construction Manager but at the end of the day I was the customer.

So hats off to New Gen construction team for doing a fantastic job they have delivered a superb house in a very quick period of time.
