I felt this could have been caught by the crew on their check after the charter before us.

There were some little things, there is no radio on the cockpit making communication with the lead crew difficult when docking.
The dinghy was very small, the boat has four cabins and ample room for 8 people but the dinghy fits only four.
The dinghy painter was very short, this meant that the dinghy was rubbing against the hull under Sail
My biggest issue though was that our boat was equipped with air conditioning, the air conditioning required a separate plug for connection to the electric outlet. In most of the places where we talked overnight there was only one power outlet available per boat. Splitters were not provided with the charter this means that we had to choose between using our refrigerator or cooling the cabin at night
overall this was a very Pleasant trip and I plan to Charter with sunsail again

Even with the issues with the boat, we had another fantastic time. I'm heading back to the BVI with my sailing club at the end of January, despite the problems faced with this boat.

--prompt assist in a first morning departure following the sail briefing
--good response when something serious isn't working
--vessel always ready and clean for the late arrival sleep aboard
--great support in changing our ferry and land transfer schedules (also assisted in our flight cancellations and changes...thanks you guys!!)
Things that needed improvement on this trip:
--discovered a leaky port quarter berth head (but we only advised Sunsail upon return)
--rear cockpit and helm lighting not functioning (but we left rather than wait for a repair since no clear time-frame provided)
--engine starting issues with the starboard engine (but not reported during the trip and got by until return)
--nobody available for a return inspection (but we only had 1.5 hours available before catching a taxi to the 10:00 am ferry)
--dock master was, as always, very responsive and supportive in facilitating boat return (but he is overworked on busy mornings...)
All in all:
Sunsail continues to be the charterer of choice that I can depend upon to meet expectations and assist in unanticipated issues that may develop.

Lefkas Base Staff was very accommodating, except for one point: On Sep 19, 2019 the staff on a flottila lead boat (Aerial) told us to take our outboard engine off the dinghy, while sailing by us with the outboard mounted on. . . See picture. Not very convincing, like all pigs are equal, but some . .
This was the 3rd time I have rented from Sunsail (St. Maarten 2014 and 2016, Lefkas 2019) but the quality and age of your equipment has only been going down over the years, while prices went up. I will NOT consider a 4th rental with Sunsail and advise others to stay away from this company. Very disappointed.

I filed a complaint the day I brought back and followed up with a written complaint which I emailed twice and still have not heard from Sunsail.
I have sailed with Sunsail and the Moorings probably 12 times sense 1987 and have never had a boat in this condition.
I am frustrated that Sunsail has not even responded to my written complaint.
My Contract was V10190 in Tortola. I was aboard a Sunsai 51 ( 2014 Jeanneau 519)
June 9, 2019- June 19, 2019.
I sent my written complaint to Sharmin Hodge who promised when we met the day I returned the boat that they would be right back in touch with me.
I work for Cruising Yachts which is the Jeanneau dealer for California which makes this even more frustrating.
I would appreciate having somebody from Sunsail contact me on this matter.

•We were not able to leave Sunsail until about 2:30 on Sunday the 26th due to delayed boat briefing and fueling of the boat. We essentially lost an entire day of sailing. The whole boat briefing process and checkout for the week was a chaotic mess. I’m not sure anyone was in charge at the marina.
•The boat smelled from the time we arrived through the week of holding tank discharge
•Several cockroaches were seen on the boat
•The generator failed the first night out of Road Town due to a bad impeller that could have been identified with a proper boat briefing
