I had a tap doctor came in today to replace my shower heads and fix linking time. Warren from the tap doctor did an amazing job at a very well priced rate, i had a quote from another plumber before tap doctor and tap doctor quote was much more cheaper.
Warren was very professional, he was at my house on time and clean up the mess afterwards. I will definitely use tap doctor again and recommend their service to friends and family.

My callout fee was quoted to be $450 for Sat Dec 23.
Not reasonable in my opinion. I think they were taking advantage of the xmas holidays.
There are others out there that will quote alot less.
The plumber gave me bad attitude so I didn't chose them in the end.
This is my second bad experience with this mob.
I've learnt my lesson now.

Daniel called today to inspect my blocked drain, gave a quote and I went ahead with the work. It took a bit of effort but eventually it was running like new again. Daniel is very professional, friendly and obliging. He is a very proud dad of his three children, two little boys and a four legged one. I will certainly use Daniel again when the occasion arises & will recommend him to anyone I hear of needing a plumber. Thanks Danny it was a pleasure to have you in my home. Regards Wendy

We've used the Tap Doctor in Adelaide probably 5 times over 8 years and the booking service is fantastic. The plumbers are always on time, quick, do a great job and are very reasonably priced. They installed our water-saving toilet, moved a garden tap and repaired hot water service several times. Simply, don't know what more we could ask from a plumber.

got a quote for $1200 but ended up getting a final bill of $4400 - the plumber changed everything without asking us first and most of the time he was here he was just walking around the garden but we got 13 hours of labor charge - don't trust this company!!!

I had no hot water so I called several plumbers and no one could come out and some never returned my call. My brother suggested Warren from Tap Doctor Joondalup, and he was here on the day we called and did a great job. I would highly recommend Warren to anyone needing a plumber.

I contacted the Tap Doctor. Previously had contacted them about 6 times over past 8 years with excellent results. Anyway thinking I would get the same service I called them to fix my solar hot water system which was pouring out water. The fellow came, went on the roof told me just a pipe connection quoted the price and as I had to leave I paid by credit card. Twenty minutes later the fellow phoned to say it wasn't what he said it was and basically he didn't fix the problem, however fitted two relief valves anyway which were pointless as they didn't stop the leak and I needed to purchase a whole new system which would come with the relief valves as part of the installation. I tried contacting the office and after numerous attempts managed to speak to someone who said they would reimburse me. Six weeks later I'm still waiting for my credit. Unhappy. In Oct 2015 I was charged 69.00 for a Basin service with 2 taps (amongst other services), so when my bathroom tap leaked (Feb 2017) I did not think twice to ring the Tap Doctor again. No price was given over the phone. The plumber turned up 1:15 early without ringing ahead and less than half an hour later the job was done at $179. The taps did not need re-seating. I was so overwhelmed I paid. I knew I paid much less a prior time and I dished up the old invoice and found the price of $69 for the prior job. When I rang up I was told that the sub-contractors they send can charge what they like (after I was told first that all calls are recorded). I queried that as there is no call-out fee, the sub-contractors drive a van with huge Tap-Doctor signage all over, and with "not happy" "it's free". I was told I would be called this morning. Yes, I was phoned only to hear that they could not attend to the problem as they did not have yesterday's invoice yet. I offered to fax it, but the admin office does not have a facsimile machine. I offered to scan and email the invoice, which was done. An hour later I followed that up with a phone call to see if the email was received, but there is no way to phone the admin office direct and I am awaiting some sort of confirmation of receiving the email and resolution to this. I will post a follow-up on this issue every day, after my daily phone call or as they happen.

23/02/2017 AM received a phone call from the admin office and was told that the prior $69 was because it was with other services, this was a stand-alone service. Still way overpriced since they advertise with no call-out fee. The sub-contractors tell you the price beforehand which he did, but I was busy, overwhelmed and in a hurry myself and agreed. I told them to leave it and they've lost a client. In order to keep me as a client I will be sent a $120 voucher valid for one year. Will write the next entry when I receive it.
02/03/2017 Received a voucher for Tap Doctor plumbing services in the mail for this address for $120, valid for 12 months from 23/02/2017 onwards. This is only as good as to when and if I need it within a year.
Was it worth the hassle? One can only tell after a year. Next time I will be better prepared as I now realise they are sub-contractors and can charge what they like. One is better of with a reliable local plumber I think.

This week I had the Tap Dr from Myaree WA out to my home I was charged $718 to replace one kitchen mixer tap one shower head and 2 shower taps. I priced the items they used on line total cost of the items retail price was $150. The plumber arrived 40 mins late with no call to let me know he was running late he didn't clean off the silcone under the show head or taps as the ones he replaced were larger. I tried for several days to speak to his boss who refused to speak with me unless I rang him very early in the mornings which was not suitable to me or possible for me. I have since spoken with other plumbing services who have stated I should not have paid anymore than $375 for the work.

My daughter and I were abused by one of their franchisee vehicles in Southern Adelaide while overtaking them on a 2 lane road! If you do 10km/h under the limit then speed up when being overtaken, you have no right to get upset with other drivers. To honk your horn and give abusive hand signals to another car, even without a 9 year old in the car looking on, is disgusting, but to do so when you are in the wrong is even worse!

On two occasions my aged father has called out The Tap Doctor. Both times he has been dealt with dishonestly. On the first visit the 'tap doctor' cut a pipe and left the water to leak into the ground. (An independent plumber verified that this was the case.) When my father complained, they charged him to repair the damage the tap 'doctor' had caused. Plumbers who work for this company have no interest in the reputation of the company. My father said he has 'no problem paying for a job done properly'. Please - don't be taken in by these fast talkers.

The Tap Doctor charged $275 for 25 minutes work - this is an hourly rate of $550. When I queried the cost I received a long list of excuses, none of which provided a reasonable explanation for the high cost. My advice would be to check out all of the other terrible reviews on here, and then use any other plumber, not the Tap Doctor

I was very nervous who to choose among the many plumbers, as I have had a bad experience in the past with one of the well known Perth plumbers who didn't arrive when booked and not answering their phone in spite of their advertising their 24/7 availability. I had a bad leak in the shower and was pleasantly surprised to have excellent fast service from John, my local Tap Doctor plumber and the charges were very reasonable. I will use them again.

Spent half a day in the garden & couldn't wait to jump into my shower, wow, what fantastic pressure thanks to Charlie who called out the previous day. The water pressure at that stage was terrible & after installing new taps & washers nothing had changed so rang Tap Doctor & Charlie arrived on time & proceeded to fix the problem of old washer seals blocking the water flow. All cleared after about 20 minutes & was charged a reasonable fee for his service. The company card is now stuck to the fridge for future reference.

I couldn’t get a quote over the phone - they had to come around to give one. Started the job without giving me the quote so I asked how much it was going to cost to replace a washer and one other thing on my toilet - 189-00 for a ten minute simple job. Then he wanted to charge an extra 45-00 for a hose and when I asked how much to replace washers on taps - wait for it - 75-00 a pair. Absolutely ridiculous but I was told it’s now a franchise so there we go - greedy owner. He had the nerve to ask if I wanted stickers on my water heater and a fridge magnet too - I guess they would have charged for that as well but I said no thanks. Not happy.

I paid $250. for a 10 minute job, replacing the inlet valve and outlet washer of toilet cistern that included parts which to a maximum might have cost $50. I should become a plumber $1200. - per hour not bad.

Tried to book a plumber yesterday from Tap Doctor, got it all arranged, yes coming at 2 pm,
he will call if he is going to be earlier....well i wasn't expecting a no show, so i have figured
that if the job is nt worth hundreds of dollars it is not worth bothering with, as it wasn't a big
job, but it needs to be fixed by a PLUMBER.....very disappointed...

We currently have one of your plumbers here, who was supposed to be around 30-60 minutes for a job yesterday involving the shower dripping. The issue was fixed yesterday by another company however they still came (for some reason stating that they needed to install something). It's since been over an hour that they've been here, and are out the front, with the door open in a semi-high crime suburb, loudly talking about how they hate the other customers that they've had today, quoting what other customers have said in a mocking fashion, and also stating that when they get their concrete license, they're afraid that a particular company might come after them?

I'm really uncomfortable with this plumber, and his attitude stinks..
