The Skirting Board Shop

Quick and easy ordering process, although I thought that the delivery was a bit steep and not all that quick - I think it’s was 4 working days. Communication was good though and the process was slick. However when I had a problem with one of the boards after it was damaged in transit, they couldn’t have been more helpful and quickly replaced one of the lengths. I would definitely use again.

This is the second order I have made, having been extremely pleased with the first order. Delivery was very prompt and the delivery driver pleasant and obliging.
The skirting boards are very well wrapped in several layers of protective plastic.
The quality of the boards and finish is excellent. No longer a need to rub down and paint old boards.
I will certainly use this company again.

I thought the ordering was easy, and the quality of the skirting and architrave supplied excellent, however I've not given 5* because of problems encountered. ........
problem 1.... skirting board shop were "let down" by their suppliers and had to change my delivery slot, ( bearing in mind I had already waited almost 2 weeks for them to source the stock for my order ) they did give me two days notice of the added 5 days delay, they contacted me by phone and made sure I was OK with their new arrangements.
problem 2 ....... one length of skirting board was delivered snapped in half, delivery company DX told me of damage AND when I called to report issue skirting board shop offered replacement ASAP ( albeit in another 9 days!)
both these problems I think were probably beyond control of skirting board shop, although irritating to me and my joiner, I have not let these influence my star rating.
problem 3....... the delivery company (DX) were a choice of the skirting board shop, the delivery window.. 8am to 6pm with no notification of time, is very very irritating, my delivery arrived at 1.30pm, but the company's tracking system showed it had left for delivery at 8.05am and was not further updated. I had to hang around a building site waiting for the delivery. The delivery chap had not been notified of a bridge restriction, he was very lovely and carried the delivery 300 yards, lucky for him and me it wasn't pouring in rain or blowing a gale. I think in this day and age of technology, it should be possible to notify clients of a MUCH SMALLER delivery window, or provide a live tracking service. It's rather insulting to expect your customers to hang around for a full day, this is the choice of the skirting board company well in their control and the reason for a loss of a star.

Ordered samples which arrived 2 days later. Placed my order and the SkirtingBoardShop emailed to say my order for my flat would be delivered just 2 days later! This was not convenient for me so I called and re-arranged, very helpful on the phone and all sorted. Delivery was great as a tracker was sent with a time frame. Would highly recommend and order again

Skirtings are great, however, £30 delivery for 4 boards is extreme.

I put in my first order but had miscalculated, I needed to add more which was done without any fuss or extra delivery cost. Items arrived promptly. Great service!

I was worried about long lengths being delivered by hub & spoke carrier from Manchester to Essex. Explained that they deliver on their own trucks to London depot and then delivered by local carrier. All went very well. Goods were well packed and arrived safely.

Very happy with quality of the product (skirting boards).

I bought 25m of skirting finished is gloss white. It was well packaged and in new condition. Great quality and value. Would recommend.

Fantastic service, couldn't get a day off work for a few weeks so they happily held the skirting board until I could get a day off. Excellent product also, really happy

Speedy service, good product, been in the construction industry for 34 yrs as good as anything I've used before , driver dropped them where I told him , individual lengths rapped with protection.

Good price for the skirting boards ordered.The samples sent previously were done so swiftly, and the delivery of the skirting once ordered went very smoothly with a capable and helpful delivery driver.

I have used the Skirting Board Shop on a number of projects in recent year. They always delivered when they said they will. Also quick to credit me on a job I over ordered and returned some item with no issue.

I had to ring and order my skirting boards for my builder and found the chap John to be most helpful. John explained everything to me (even though I am a women) and know nothing about skirting boards and archiving. John was extremely helpful and knowledgeable and soon made me feel I could trust him to get my order sent efficiently and quickly. I subsequently had to place another order and was again treated with the upmost respect and knowledge that John had shown to me previously. I would highly recommend using this company and hope this information will be of use to others looking for a great product and fabulous service.

Good service, arrived on time ,well rapped and delivery man phoned to say he was on his way and left parcel where instructed.

I needed 4.2m lengths of a particular skirting board but could only get 2.4m locally. The Skirting Board Shop has exactly what I needed and delivered it within 3 days. Great service.

I ordered window boards on Friday afternoon. It wasn't until late Monday morning that I received my order confirmation, telling me I wouldn't receive the boards for another 7-8 days. The order confirmation went to great lengths to repeatedly tell me that delivery is non-refundable, cannot be brought forward, and if I'm unable to take delivery then charges will be incurred. Left a bad taste. If I had known about lead time I would have purchased elsewhere.

I purchased torus skirtings and facings in veneered oak was very pleased with them although expensive 9 length of each was well over £500 but Finnish looks great delivery service very good as a tradesman working for myself I will always go on line to try and cut out the middle man it would be nice if you had incentives or discounts for trade .

Quick delivery reasonable prices unfortunately two of the four boards were scratched.

Good quality product delivered in a timely fashion, was pleased to get delivery first thing in the morning as not had to wait around at home. Well priced also
