I guess I'm one of the lucky suckers who fell for something-for-nothing (just pay shipping and handling). Ordered 2 in May and still no AbsoloutePods™ in my ears. More like AbsoluteScam™! Don't be an AbsoluteSucker™.

Ordered The King of DVD Player
PLAY DIVX, KARAOKE, 5.1 CHANNEL OUTPUT with 2 microphones. Stopped working properly after 7 month of usage. Called/e-mailed customer service= no results, contacted BBB to see what could be done in order to get unit repaired or get my money back.
BTW, the unit looks never been sertified for sale in the USA, no manufacturer contact info on manual. Watch out for this store. Paid $45.99, next day the same dvd player was $39.99, asked for refund, the store said :yes, but did not refund the money.

Ordered a spindle of 100 4x DVD-R. So far, the media performs fine. It will only burn at 2x on my Powerbook, but that is typical... even high end media will typically only burn at half its rated speed.

Ordered item from tech geek, I decided I did not want it about 30 mins later. Their website said its easy to call and cancel. I called got a voicemail, left a message. emailed them. Nothing. The item came quickly and is not worth going through the hassle of returning it, besides who would I contact to say I want to? Prompt service, non-existant customer service.

I ordered two SanDisk SD cards from this company. Online shopping experience was as ordinary as other stores. I received the order confirmation almost immediately through an email, but never received a shipping confirmation. The shipping took 8 postal working days (weekdays and Saturdays excluding a postal holiday) through USPS. It was longer than most of online stores nowadays I dealt with, but is nothing out of ordinary. The shipment came in a plain envelop with the manufacturing package inside. There is no box or foam, and really nothing fancy. For the product I purchased, this type of shipping package is fine with me. I read some online reviews from this site after the order and was concerned. I felt really relieved when finally receiving the shipment. I did not need to call the company and therefore don't know the customer support side of the business. My payment was through my credit card. They charged it when the product was shipped. And there is no overcharge thus far. I guess customer's expectation plays a role if there is dissatisfaction about shipping speed and other things. Comparatively speaking, Tech Geek would not be the best online shopping store in terms of services. However for my case, they got the business done. But I am really only speaking for my $15 of shopping experience. Do I really want to deal with the company again? Based on its current rating, I won't. But if the deal is really good, I will probably make another trip.

I ordered a memory card from their website around the first week of August. The delivery time was good and I did receive a package from them except that they shipped me the wrong product(and didn't even ship me the additional "free" stuff they were supposed to). So I emailed them to get an RMA which I did and promptly sent the wrong product back hoping they'll send me the original order(memory card) right away. I sent an email asking about the status and got a actual reply stating that its in Processing state and that they should be able to get to mine in a couple of days. By this time it was almost the middle of the month. Soon after, I sent them a couple of more emails and also left voice mails on their machines, however I am still waiting for "a" customer support to contact me. The emails I sent are not answered on time at all, and are pretty vague with no one giving a definate answer. The last email I received mentioned that TTG was still looking for the order, whilst another email before that told me that the product was already shipped out. Another one told me that TTG could not find the RMA product and were still checking? How is that possible? Which one is correct? On calling another of your numbers I was finally able to get through a "live" person and he mentioned that the correct product would be shipped out this week(Sept 11-15) and he would send me a tracking number too. Well nothing so far!! I am really frustrated at this point, since it's over a month that I had ordered this product, and about a month that I sent the wrong one back!! Please do something about it!

UPDATE: Finally after tons of complains via email and phone including on Paypal(which was escalated and denied, thus closed since they said they would ship the product) they shipped out the right product on 9/15/06 and I received it on 9/21/06. Whew, and it was the right product!!

The order didn't ship out after 48 hrs, so I emailed them about it and was told to check for paypal payment but I already paid.

Asked for refund, didn't get a refund. Complained to paypal for non-receipt, they lied about shipping it then escalate it to paypal claim to end our conversation. So I have no chance to respond and are hoping it will be in their favor.

Update: The package did arrive but it took awhile for the tracking number show up/emailed say on the day it was delivered.

I ordered 2 HDMI cables from The Tech Geek on June 14th and I promptly received a e-mail confirmation that they received my order. I paid at time of order via Pay Pal. By June 18th I hadn't received any shipping confirmation. I sent their customer service a e-mail asking for a tracking number. On June 19th I received a e-mail from customer service asking me to send them the Pay Pal transaction ID. I did. On June 20th I received the following e-mail "Dear customer, Your information has been update. We will send the order ASAP. Thanks for shopping at TheTechGeek.com". I never recieved a tracking number. The items finally arived on June 23rd.

In all fairness...A co-worker of mine ordered the same items a day after I did. He didn't pay using Pay Pal, and he recieved his order the day before mine. The delay may of been the fault of Pay Pal, but I can't confirm.

I ordered the wireless EarPods about two months ago. I never received them. I emailed them and went on their website and sent to complain multiple times. I never heard back from them. Their company is modern tech geek, and their item was called “absolute pods” I just disputed the charge with my bank, so will be receiving a refund, but it’s still frustrating.

Last week The thetechgeek.com has displyaed Canon EOS Digital SLR camera's price 1$. I have screenshot of it. So, i have ordered that camera. They also sent me confirmation email and deducted the amount from my card. I have chosen next day shipping, but still i have not received that camera. After followup they are saying that u have placed order incorrectly. if i have placed order incorrectly then how come they accepted my order and charged for the same. Even they are not replying my email in time.

January 4th, I order a USB hub and pay through PayPal. I never received a confirmation from TechGeek, and after repeated e-mails I FINALLY get a reply around the 25th stating they hadn't received my payment information. I forward them a copy of the PayPal receipt and they thank me for my promptness (yeah, sure thing). February 5th, I receive my package. It looks like it's been stepped on, and it's NOT the USB hub that I ordered. Naturally, I received it 2 days after their "100% satisfaction guarantee" offer had expired. These guys just plain suck.

On 6/25/2006 I purchased a "Plug & Play MP3/WMA Player 4GB" from TG. It was delivered promptly, but i have had nothing but problems with it. The first time I tried to load it with >256MB of songs, it crashed and frozed. I managed to get the player booted back up and had to use the 'disk format' utility that came with it to reformat the flash drive. Since that time, it has always displayed as a 256MB drive. I have learned that this drive (made by Wilson in China) is only a 256MB drive and Tech Geek misrepresented it as a 4GB Drive. I have called them at least 50 times and written 12 emails, and they have not responded to anything. Additionally I filed a complaint with the BBB in California, and to date, TechGeek has not even responded to that. They refuse to return my calls, refuse to return my emails, and have not issued a credit, an RMA or replaced this player which was defective from the beginning. They are completely disreputable and NO ONE should buy from them.
