I have had an active account with TigerDirect for my business since 2010. I have had nothing but great experience from them. They are a great local re-seller with great products for great prices and I always receive them within a reasonable about of time. I came to this page and saw all the negative reviews. I had to share my experience because every company has their flaws. But this is a good company and I think this page just shows all the bad. But people with something negative to say are usually more likely to go through the trouble of making a review. So this is just all bad exposure... There's nothing wrong with this company. They don't scam anyone. They are just trying to run a business....

I've been using TigerDirect for years now, I've never had a single problem with them what-so-ever. I use the Canadian version of the site and EVERY single time I have ever ordered from TigerDirect it's always been at my door within 3-4 days unless there was a slight hiccup in shipping or my credit card was giving them a processing issue. I had an issue where they sold me a dead RAM stick, contacted customer support and asked for a refund, they said to send it back so I did, $20 to ship it back through Canada Post and they gave me a full refund on the product. TigerDirect is a wonderful company to deal with in regards to computer parts. I've never bought anything else from Tiger other than parts to build PCs and laptops and headphones, but I've never had one single problem.

Hi,
Everything from ordering process, fast/accurate account update/information is very satisfactory about TigerDirect(Canada only) EXCEPT one thing; With my last two orders your system verified that the items are available in Markham location (10 min. to my home) but both orders came from US, causing additional shipping cost, I could purchase them with few dollars less from BestBuy or similar places.
Please keep the web-database up to date and truthful about the item location, also since 5 years ago the number of items (in Canadian site) seems a lot less than before.

I purchased a Dell desktop computer from tiger direct. The computer and monitor are mounted together. When I pulled it out of the box tge monitor fell off because the screws were not installed properly. The cord for the monitor was missing. I called customer service and was told it that it wasn't there problem and I had to contact another company. I was able to dig up a cord and turn it on to find that the software isn't installed properly. Called customer service again and was told I could return it at my expense All I really have to say is tiger direct f**k you

I have ordered online at TigerDirect.ca over a dozen times.Some of the deals are unbeatable. I have had great delivery, great customer service dealings and overall satisfaction with one return. I would never hesitate getting a deal from TigerDirect.ca because It seams they aim to please. I am half an hour drive from a Tigerdirect store and quite often browse there store. I quite often browse their online store for online deals too.I highly recommend TigerDirect.ca.

Awful company to deal with, I ordered a Z10 on line and at the same time I had a company rep on the phone who ensured me there were not 11 available but 15 and it would be no problem to ship. Three days later I am told the item was back ordered, I called them to be told it would be available in two weeks. I waited the two weeks the went on holidays, I returned two more weeks to find not phone, now it has been almost a month. No communication from Tiger, I called and was told the product is not available any more. I complained and was told they would look closer at it and get back to me the next day, no call or email. I called again and was told I needed to revivify my credit card and the product was ready to ship, seemed odd but called the next day to do that. I was told it was now being shipped, the next day I received a email telling me the product is no longer available. I called again to see what was going on and was told the product was no longer available and would I like to purchase some thing else. I could not believe the run around and time I wasted on this company. The worst online company I have had to deal with, not only do they not tell the truth about availability when ordering but string you along. I purchased from Tiger not because of their price as there were other choices but because it was a Canadian company, what a mistake. I would never recommend this poorly operated company to anybody and I would look else where if you need something.

I have been ordering from TD for many years. Everything from barebones computers to printers, cables, monitors and so on. Never have I ever had as much trouble as I have had this last go-a-round.
I ordered another barebones kit for a friend. Well due to TD's new computer system anything that went into backorder was automatically displayed as customer cancelled, so nothing gets shipped even when it's restocked. And by the time I realized what had happened almost every part of the barebones kit was either out of stock or no longer available. So another round of phone calls and sitting on hold, (thank god for speaker phones). I tried to get all the parts, but it was not going to happen. So the order was cancelled.
I then, ordered another barebones kit, sympathizing with them about their new computer system issues. Like I said I've never had anything like this happen before in all the years I've been ordering from them.
Well, everything arrives, except the case and the hard-drive. Well, you can't build a computer without either. So after another round of emails and phone calls, I was told everything was on it's way.
Well, that was a load of poppy-cock! The case was shipped, and then it was cross docked with an non UPS carrier and I lost track of it until, again I contacted TD, and was told that once it was shipped from the non UPS shipper they would send me the UPS numbers. It was over a week I waited for the updated numbers, and I still had heard nothing. Once AGAIN, I contacted TD threatening them with bad reviews and such, and within minutes I received the updated tracking numbers. And I received a shipping update for the case. But nothing on the hard drive. But I decided to give them some time to get the word out to the NON UPS shipper. Needless to say, just the other day, I checked once again and nothing. I again contacted TD to find out what was happening with my hard drive, threatening to post a negative review on every and any website I could find.
Needless to say, you obviously know the end of this story. My hard drive is still somewhere out there in limbo, nowhere near it's final destination. As far as I know.

In the last 20 years, the worst experience I had in web e-commerce. My order was shipped at the wrong address. I sent two e-mails to inform them that they were not shipping my order at the address they had in my invoice, one to tell them that it has been shipped at a wrong address (not the one the had in my invoice). No answer or at least a response that they have my request in consideration...I call them and after 1 hour of waiting on the line, I decided that I have lost my money and had to count this experience as an accident. Usually web business on the web are very responsive but not TigerDirect! If you do business with them, cross your finger, you might be luky. Or buy a lotery ticket! Good luck!

Placed an order for 3 low cost items, totalling 136.20, on July 27. 2015. One item was backordered, the other two shipped. One of the items shipped came in a empty sealed box.

Was assured a replacement would arrive and a credit would be completed. The second of the two items was received by me and appears to be in good working order.

I have been repeatedly assured this item is shipping. As of August 24 it has still not shipped from Georgia. Now things get interesting...

Paid with paypal and noticed a second charge of 136.20 has been put through, plus an additional invoice for 23.72 was mailed to me for the empty box shipment.

DO NOT BUY from these guys - they do not have the systems in place to do anything accurately and customer service will say anything to make you go away. I have spend close to 50 hours on email trying to straighten this out - and I get no response from customer service. They have simply stopped trying to clean up their mess.

I'm left with a completely un-operable set of hardware (they work together) triple billed invoices and no response.

Repeat - DO NOT BUY from Tiger direct - this may be a scam. 19 years buying on-line and have never come up against such pure incompetence.

I like my HP Pavilion 27xi, got it on sale for a decent price.

I did not like dealing with Tiger Direct, it is IMO a terrible company and the worst I've ever used to purchase computer accessories online. Yes, the order came before the estimated date. Yes, the product is in good condition. but, Yes, there was fine print I did not see until the order was put in. All of a sudden, "this item is not returnable. Inspect product before accepting from UPS. If it doesn't work, deal with manufacturer." This definitely kept me on my toes hoping not to get a DOA. What kind of company does that, really. I would have never purchased this if it was made clear to me before I purchased that it was not returnable. And yes simply because of this I will never order from Tiger Direct again.

I wrote this review on Tiger Direct but i fully expect they will delete it!

If you do decide to order from them, BEWARE THE FINE PRINT. Verify returnability.

I have purchased 3 computers on black friday to give on Chrismas. One didn't work. I called regarding a refund... I have spent hours waiting for someone to answer me, everyday. I was only able to reach someone over a week later. He told me he was going to send an email regarding my request... 3 weeks later, still nothing. I have attempted to join them several times. Finally, I was able to reach somebody this morning... no trace of the first email... and offers me to send an email.

I had a horrible experience with Tigerdirect.ca. I am writing regarding an order placed on 11/29 during the Black Friday Specials. It hasn't shipped yet. I'm aware that is a Third Party/Drop Shipped item and that it will not be billed until the order ships. But more than 3 weeks!? This has made me miss out so many opportunities to buy that same item from many other retailers at tremendously reduced "Black Friday" special prices!!! Now I've lost all those deals! I contacted tigerdirect.ca customer service twice. This is what I got as a "resolution"(!): the item is no longer in stock, so cancel the order and order another item!!! I am sorry? The item WAS in stock at the time of the order AND even a few days later when I checked back. It's easy to say for them but they refused to honor the same price for a comparable item. I think this order has been very poorly mishandled. Moreover, it is unprofessional and unfair to "lock in" a customer on an item and prevent them from buying at other competitors. As a customer, you will agree that I can not order 2-3 of the same items from different retailers just in case on decides that it can not fill it!! I'm convinced that what they did to me was "below the belt" and unprofessional to other competitors.

I ordered a SSD External that came with Mcafee Multi Access software. It offered a $70 rebate. I bought the products at the Tiger Direct site and when I received the information for the rebate and software and I decided it wouldn't work for me. I emailed TigerDirect at 2am with my order number and a one line message, "I want to cancel my order"! I received an email in the morning letting me know the order was cancelled and an email from Paypal telling me the order was cancelled! I was extremely impressed with the service I received!!!

i made an order on friday 3 days later monday i was told i needed to send a document to verify my address so i did, then all of sudden they needed me to send a photo of a government id? are you kidding? who the F do these people think they are im not applying for a loan here. after wasting my whole day this incompetent women on the phone finally agreed to refund my money, so thanks for wasting my time and holding my money for 3 days. never will deal with this company again

I brought a cyber PowerPC on August 3, 2018 and was shipped by august 8, 2018. This cyber PowerPC gamer ultra gaming PC plays games well at ultra resolution without frames per second (FPS) slowing down. It's not that loud when turn on or playing games. Great for free to play first person shooters; its a computer I recommend purchasing if looking for gaming desktop under $900.

my item had a $40 rebate, but I waited over 2 months and the rebate never came, I called them and the rebate centre said that had not processed it (even though their policy states that it takes maximum 6 weeks), it's a rip off, tigerdirect was of no help at all.

I've been ordering online for 10 years and this company is the worst I've ever done business with. 1. They advertise items "in stock, ships in 24 hours" when this is not true. Do not believe anything they advertise about stock status. The truth is, their stuff ships from a "third party" in China and takes WEEKS to ship, much less arrive! 2. They add an "item" to your order with no explanation. You have to call them to find out it's an eco fee. Then *make sure you check your government eco fee website* because TigerDirect overcharged me and they'll do the same to you. 3. They advertise "your account won't be charged until we ship your order" - but then they bill your credit card for the eco fee immediately. So your card gets billed at least twice. 3. Then when you complain about anything or try to cancel your order, you get excuses about third parties and 3-day response times. Call twice and you will get two different stories. Staff don't know what they're talking about. 4. I had to call twice and threaten a chargeback to cancel my order, and then they told me it will take 3 days to "send the request to their third party warehouse". 5. TigerDirect.ca is not a real company! They are a front for shady Chinese junk peddlers. That's why they will NEVER tell you who they really are. There are plenty of Chinese online vendors who offer the same stuff in the same timeframe, but with far better customer service. And - no eco fees.
