We arrived at Tilbury in March 2018 and were met by David who drove us to the office in St Albans where our hire car was ready. We returned the car 3 months later and David delivered us safely to Southampton to catch our ship back home. That is the second time I have used Traffic Self Drive as dealing with Paul is ‘hassle free’, and driving with David is a pleasure, as he is a good driver plus a very affable man. I have no hesitation in recommending them as their service is exemplary. Hugh – retired Australia

Based in St Albans, Traffic Self Drive was one of my husbands best finds. TSD meet and greet you at the airport. They are always welcoming, friendly and patient. Paul is always responsive and accommodating with Bookings and their fleet of cars are always clean and well serviced. New Volvo X40 is lovely:) Thanks Paul! They have a great Small team of loyal staff. All are pleasant and personable. Highly recommend Traffic Self Drive. If you want quality service, and good cars this is the company to use.

Been hiring a car annually now for the last couple of years and would not go elsewhere. The cost is very reasonable, and the service unrivalled. From walking through the arrivals hall at LHR with three children and baggage to be driving out of the car park in under 10 minutes is amazing. All communications are speedy and polite, the cars are fantastic, children's seats included, the meet and greet and drop off are amazing. Great service! Thank you. See you next year!

I've hire cars from these guys about 6 or 7 times now. Such a great LHR service. Representative waits in the arrivals lounge for you, takes you to the car in the car park, pays the parking, and you're on your way. Drop off is very smooth and easy. Never any issues. They also only take payment when you start the hire and don't block huge amounts from your credit card as a deposit. It's a refreshing way for a hire company to do business.

From my very first enquiry to eventually returning the car, the service was five star. Everyone I spoke to was friendly and helpful and although I had booked a car for a week, l was able to return it sooner and received an unexpected refund the same day. The car itself was perfect, spotlessly clean, delivered and collected promptly. I would certainly recommend Traffic.

Have been using traffic self Drive for some years now. A really friendly team of staff. Paul always gets back to you with any enquiry vey quickly. They run a meet and greet service which is excellent. Cars are well maintained, reliable and clean. Loving the new Volvo.!! We arrived at T5 late at night with a toddler and had to drive an hour to our destination. The last thing we needed was to have to get a bus to collect a car from somewhere outside of the terminal. Traffic Self Drive were great! We were met outside arrivals, they paid for our parking ticket, helped us to our car and very professionally talked us through the workings of the car. We were given a car seat free of charge and the service was excellent. First time we have used then and have just booked them again. So worth the money!

I have a child and so it's handy to have someone meet us in arrivals with the car parked up on site. We are away in our hire car in no time. I use them every time I fly to Heathrow now.

I've hired a car 5 times now in the last 7 months and every time the car was delivered and collected on time and the cars were in excellent condition. Traffic Self Drive provide an efficient, flexible, professional and friendly service which is far superior to the much larger national hire companies. I have no hesitation in highly recommending them.

I have used this company twice over the past ten years and I can honestly say that they are the best car hire company I have ever used on three continents. Everyone we dealt with in the company was helpful and went out of their way to make sure our trip and hire of the car went smoothly. Being picked up at the Radlett train station when coming from London was an added bonus that few car hire companies in Australia would offer. I always recommend Traffic self drive and hope to use them again next year.

I make regular trips from HK to London and having been recommended Traffic Self Drive more than 3 years ago, would never think of hiring a car through anyone else again. I love the personal service: seeing a familiar face to meet me in the arrival hall and again at drop off with trolley ready. The cars are new and updated regularly and pricing is competitive. I highly recommend Traffic Self Drive especially Paul and Mark. Thank you for making my life so much easier.

My wife and I have used Traffic on a number of occasions now and it has always proved to be a seamless process during booking, picking up the vehicle and then it's eventual return. Staff are cooperative and friendly and no last minute alterations or changes to our schedule have ever been a problem. The price is reasonable and with the high level of service we have now become accustomed to we will not be going elsewhere for our car hire requirements in the future. I have been hiring vans and people carriers from Traffic Self Drive once a year to take equipment and materials to an annual conference for many years now and the experience has always been hassle free and a pleasant experience! The company has always been able to meet our needs, even at very short notice and nothing is ever too much trouble! I have never had a problem with the vehicles which have always been very new and reliable! On top of that the company's prices are to say the least extremely competitive! I have no hesitation in thoroughly recommending!

I used these guys a few years a go and they were great but hadn't needed another hire car until last week. Can safely say that I was not disappointed. Really superb service. The car provided was fantastic, the paperwork was all incredibly simple and the price was great too. All the staff were incredibly helpful and polite. Genuinely great service and will be using time and time again in future.

Since we first discovered Traffic Self Drive we have not used anybody else for UK car hire. The entire team is friendly and helpful, the cars are reliable and the rates are reasonable. Their airport pick up and drop off arrangements are quick and painless, which is just what you need after a long-haul flight. We have recommended them to friends and family, who have all become regular customers, and none of us has ever had cause to complain. Brilliant!
