I was thrilled to find a tree-planting service for gifts that plants only native trees in wild areas. I love that they are planted in forests that need to be restored. However, I would prefer to see the trees being donated to an NGO such as The Nature Conservancy, and I wish the restoration could also be on degraded lands, not only on burned areas. When the National Forest Service needs to restore forests, it should come out of taxpayers money. Even so, this is a very good option.

I think this is a great way to help get more trees planted. It's not only practical but it helps spread the message that the world needs trees to help with climate changes and also to replace so many that have been destroyed by fire as well as harvested for merchandise. My friend's brother passed recently and instead of flowers I thought of the Trees for a Change because my friend and his wife go to a lot of National Parks has like 30 more to go to visit....So it was just fitting to do this. I think this is such a nice way to remember a loved one. We ordered a memorial grove in memory of my father on what would have been his and my mother's 60th wedding anniversary. There was a question about the date I requested on the certificate and they checked with me to be sure I entered the correct date. Following confirmation, my order arrived within a couple of days. My initial experience with Trees for a Change came when our sweet Vet and her assistants purchased a tree in honor of our beloved cat Benny who passed on July 4, 2018, 4 days before his 20th birthday.
