I been using Up bank since start of February its been great so far you can use Afterpay with it and Do bank Transfers as well its new way of online banking without the Hassle of my parents knowing I have been using it for a bit now and I can use up card to pay off zip pay debt and to use it on Tab site to I like it and it works with Apple Pay its great and some Privacy issues surround the app but very good Up now Supports BPay and Split payments !

I was recently scammed using my UP account and if i had been with a bigger bank i would have had a lot more support to get the money back

Signed up on July 31st 2019.

So far I must say the experience has been excellent. The account sign up process was super easy, just had to install their mobile banking app from the Google Play store, enter some personal details, and within 5 mins I had a transaction account and a virtual master debit card added to my Google Pay wallet. Physical ATM card was posted out and received within 7 days, but this was not required to make in store purchases, as the Google Pay virtual card was usable instantly after sign up. How convenient!

What really makes Up Bank superior to other banks is their Mobile banking app. The amount of convenient functionality and features is highly useful and welcome. One of them being Push Notifications for all transactions. This can be disabled if you don't like this function, although when you get paid or when a bill has been debited, you are notified. Great for those who like to keep track of their expenses, where this ties in to their superior insights tracking...think of Pocketbooks.

Merchant ID identification is also another welcome feature, which visually makes your account activity visually pleasing to look at with all the company icons displayed next to each transaction.

Bill tracking and knowing when you next bills are due and how much is another feature I would have to use in a separate app to track my monthly bill expenses. Now I don't need to since its builtin with Up.

There are many more useful features which I could write about. Up has been everything I've been looking for in a Bank in this digital age, where I have completely made it my sole primary bank account, closing off my other bank accounts, one with Suncorp and the other with Westpac.

I have been with Up for one week now and it is looking very promising so far. Am hoping I can soon ditch my “top 4“ bank as it is stuck in the Stone Age. Unlike a recent reviewer who was very unhappy with service in China, I always travel with multiple transaction options.
The chat help line was very good for my queries. Everything is free, how do they plan to make money, I wonder?

Recently I travelled overseas to China and got stuck amidst the coronavirus outbreak. I needed to urgently book flights back home, but was locked out of my card because it was requesting a OTP to my Australian phone which I didn't have.

I contacted customer service and the lack of empathy was disgusting. They said there was nothing they could do, and then proceeded to tell me I never informed them I went overseas which was an utter lie. I showed screenshot proof that I did and they said it was an "oversight". I ended up needing to get a loan overseas because they refused to help me in the most desperate time I needed it.

Never coming back.

I've used Up Bank for over 8 months now, and it just keeps getting better.

I've had next to no issues with reliability, easily able to transfer money in and out instantly using Payid. I've kept my Commbank account for getting my pay and sending out BPays and direct debits.

I use Up for everyday spending with their nifty debit card, usually through my Apple Watch/ iPhone. I also do all my transfers to friends from Up with their very nifty whatsapp-like pay anyone feature.

I really like the insights it gives you about the where/when/how much of what you spend. For example, it tells me I've made 100 transactions with Uber since December, averaging $12 each.

The round-ups and ability to make as many high interest saving accounts as you want is also a cool feature.

When I've had issues/bugs I've raised it in the app in the support chat feature and staff seemed responsive.

We have been with Up for 6 months. Up is the best digital bank I've used so far. Ive tried ubank which is nowhere near the features Up has. I've have tried almost all five of the major banks and everything is a hassle to like changing your address or simply sending a payment to a new person. But with Up is so much easier. We have moved all our banking to UP. From the notifications letting you know whats happening with your money everyday. And its easy to use app and easy to do everyday things too. Im just waiting for Up to do joint accounts which will be even better for us. We are making it work with sole accounts in the meantime. Communication is so easy too I have anxiety talking on the phone so the chat section works well. I don't know why people have to jump on product review to complain as soon as something goes wrong. Things happen it's a part of life and there's always going to be issues no matter which bank you are with. Try to look at the positives overall rather than giving negative review straight away and be patient.

I joined Up about a month ago and liked the concept, however due to the fact that they don't offer joint accounts and that they exclusively pay through Osko (meaning I had scheduled payments declining every time, so I was having to go into the app and manually make the payment via bank transfer) I decided to close it and join a bank that offered better features with a similar high interest savings rate. I requested to close my account on the 16th of January 2020 - it's now the 24th of January 2020 and I keep getting "we will have someone contact you" or no response at all. Really unhappy with the customer service of this bank and wouldn't recommend it over a bank you can make a phone call to when you just want something done. Terrible effort on their part.

Use bank for 3 months. Bank is not reliable is you jailbreak. Customer service just told me to restart my phone and that did nothing. Time to change banks again

I have two accounts with Up, mine and my husbands. They are not linked, and we do not share any name. I was having issues with my account and accidentally removed the account from the app. I called their support line on my husbands phone but made sure to say my name and told them the issue. The person told me to reset the app and start the process again. She said she would need to delete the account entirely. All good. No questions asked.

Went to restart the app and the same issue came up... the person had not deleted my account. I realised then that the support person had cancelled my husbands account because of the phone number attached to it. This person did. Or ask any security questions at all! Just cancelled it and even when I said my name and the account has a different one. This was shocking and appalling. The person on the phone just giggled and said whoops. Doesn’t seem like the people running this app have any kind of idea about the security required or are at least training their staff properly.

Aside from this I have had issues with other things, their customer support is not 24/7, and they regularly close the app for maintenance and you can do anything.. will be changing mine and my husbands bank.

I love this bank because it has the best interest rate for savings, and I can separate my accounts into individual savings goals eg. Christmas, trip to Paris. It's very simple to use and transfer to/from and I've never had any issues. I've also referred some friends to them and we both received the $5 bonus!

Been with this bank for 3-4 months now and really glad I moved. The app is the real highlight here, with cutting edge features comparable to the comm bank app. Every update the app additional features are added and the developers are very open for suggestions.

I have been with Up early 2019 and everything was going ok until I needed their assistance. I requested some changes made to my daily limit and was told that it was at their discretion if they chose to change the limit and at this time they have declined my request!! So in other words, they are telling me how I can spend my own money...oh no I don't think so. Account closed! Also, no phone number to call, no website to use...too bad if your phone dies.

Australia's best banking app by miles, with features you didn't know you needed until now. Active community of users across social media, including staff - you can literally DM the co-founder of this company with ideas.

The only issue I have is with customer service - as the product becomes more popular, so too does text-based service. It can sometimes take days before you hear from them, and they are only available live during business hours. For day-to-day use, this is okay - but every now again, you may experience a hiccup and need help urgently.

Disclaimer: Early customer of 1.5 years, and have received free merchandise. This doesn't change my opinion, but I figured it would be wise to mention here.

We have discovered that this business has SSL (secure sockets layer), which means that this business handles your data, such as personal information or credit card details, with secure connection. We discovered that the domain for this business is relitevely new, which means that it could be a start-up business that does not yet have a huge amount of customers. We found that this business has an Instagram page, where they communicate with their customers using images and videos. This is usually an indication that the business has some visual aspects that it wants to showcase.
