I've shopping online to find a set of copper cookware for a long time, this is the lowest price I could find online. Thanks UWantSavings.com.
Brand new, name brand items for less than a fraction of the cost elsewhere. I check their deals daily and expect to have my Christmas and birthday shopping completed in record time in 2009!!
The Mayfair Jackson 3 pc mixing bowl set was so nice (pretty colors too! - one each sage, gold, light blue) and such a great price, that I have ordered another one for my daughter for Christmas - if I can wait that long to give them to her!! :)
Gracie loves the new doggy steps...they're perfect! Keep up the good work and keep those offers coming!!!
In October '09 I Purchased the West Bend Countertop Convection Toaster Oven, Model #74766 @ $69.99. I didn't start using it right away as I had to arrange counter space for it etc... I was tickled pink with how well and how fast it cooked things. Sadly, after 5 or 6 uses, the convection fan made an awful squealing noise and stopped working. The toaster oven part still worked but who the heck would ever pay $70.00 for a toaster oven? I had purchased this specifically for the convection feature. I checked that manual and the product does have a 1year warranty and instructs to return to the place of purchase.
I didn't contact CS right away as we had a very bad winter with power outages, collapsed sheds, my husband's prostate cancer, that had been under control, flared up and he became quite ill, and on top of that tumors that I have in my thyroid gland had enlarged to a point that I had trouble breathing and swallowing. So this was put on hold.
I contacted CS in January via email as my voice was raspy and weak and frankly I was just embarrassed to try to talk on the phone. Well, 5 months and 10 emails later, I still had no reply. Even though I had sent from my email, my secondary email, and even used the contact form at their site. Since my voice is doing better, I decided to call UWS at the first of this week. Jeff was at lunch. I called back later and was put through directly to Jeff. I told him how many times I had tried to contact them and that was met with ZERO concern. He acted as though he didn't even hear me. I started to explain what had happened with the oven and was RUDELY cut off mid-sentence and told that I was supposed to contact the manufacturer of the oven. I was not even given a chance to tell him which oven I had purchased. I told him that my manual said to contact the place of purchase. He told me that someone had walked off with his manual for the oven and he would call in an hour. He did call back and leave a message telling me that he had the manual in his hand and it had a paper stapled to the front along with a message inside the cover that said to contact the manufacturer if there was a problem. He then proceeded to rattle off the product numbers etc... and said to let him know if I had any problem contacting HAMILTON BEACH.
I called back and was put through to Jeff and explained that he was mistaken as I had a West Bend Oven. He said that he would look for that manual and see what they could do to help me. I haven't heard a word since. I have no reason to lie and cannot believe how rudely I was treated. It's almost like they are angry at me for some reason. Why ignore my emails? I know they had to see at least one of them. I work in CS and would never, ever, treat a customer this way.Especially one that has spent over 1000.00 dollars with our company. I did place an order this week. Mostly as a sign of goodwill and to remind them that I am still a living, breathing, paying customer. Jeff has always added a note to my receipt to say "Thanks". This time, there was nothing from anyone. I have purchased the following and probably more...
