Half my wardrobe is from Venus - no, really!! Everything is of great quality, always fits, and prices are great! The only time I ever sent anything back was due to my ordering several similar items at a time, i.e., gowns, to get the best one(s), knowing I would be sending some back.

I placed an order on June 28th that according to the website was back ordered until June 30th. I received an email stating the order would be shipped on the 30th, two weeks later still hadn't received the order for a dress that I needed for an event. When I called the customer service number, they said it hadn't passed through customs and was still on back order. I ordered this dress over three weeks ago with more then enough time for shipping and they basically said "sorry its still on back order and we don't know when you'll get it.

Horrible customer service and THE worst back order "system" from any online store.

You are much better off buying somewhere else. Will never order anything from Venus again

I needed some winter clothes for my vacation to home so my mother ordered some outfit from Venus for me and never got anything!
First, I used live chat to ask what's going on and they said "billing address and shipping address is not same so they haven't shipped yet." What kind of crap is that!? So nobody can buy clothes from Venus as a gift and send those to different address?

Second, it was getting close for me to leave this country for vacation so I called them if my stuff is not shipped yet. And they said "credit card information is wrong so we haven't supped yet" that's lie! My mother ordered from two different stores same day and those stuff got here long time ago!
So I told them all information is correct and and I need my stuff ASAP! They said they need to charge my mother for shipping overnight. Even though it wasn't our fault that they are taking so long!
Anyways, I needed those outfit soon so my mother paid EXTRA for overnight shipping.
I was told that it will be here on MONDAY so I couldn't finish packing for my vacation without my cstuff and waited till MONDAY(today!) guess what? MY STUFF IS NOT HERE YET! and I'm leaving tomorrow morning..... I SHOULD READ THESE REVIEWS BEFORE I ORDER FROM VENUS!

Of course I talked to them again.... On live chat. They said it's still in process for virfile my mothers credit card. Like I said, I got other stuff from the other two stores that I ordered same day.
They are not good for online store business.

I am so sad that I'm going home without witer clothes that I supposed to have by now.

i have ordered 4 times from venus swimwear. 3 items per order.
i live in canada and shipping has been prompt every time.

Year ago for christmas I ordered scirt. It was 10 days before christmas (shipping takes 5-8 days) During 4 days my order wasn't send to me. I talk to them in live chat, and they told me, that they out of stock. Well, i talk to them about 15-20 minutes about why they charge me if they out of stock, why no body tell me before i order it, so they send me this skirt next day for overnight shipping without extra charge. Scirt was so beautiful and good quality.
This year I orderd dress, it's looks amazing on picture, nice color everything looks nice. I'm wearing size 6-8, therefore I ordered size Medium. When I received this dress I was just like "Watta hell is that!?" This dres was horrible,size M was real size XXL,color on picture was purple but real color is dirty gray-purple. I was so dissapointed.
Also I ordered there nice shoes it's really awesome and good quality

I have ordered many things from venus in the past year from sweaters to tops, lots of bikinis, dresses. My proportions are not the average so I have ordered and returned many times and I've had no problem. I always read all the fine print which helps reducing shipping costs. for ex. exchanging on order slip instead of return and order again cuz the order slip exchange shipping is free. All the bikinis were really cute and fit well once I got the right size. One of the bikinis (my favorite one) is white and ever since I went to the beach there's sand that's made its way into the fabric and i can't get it out! Other than that and a few clothes not fitting my figure right...had pretty good experience with them. service pretty good as well as quality compared to pricing.

First time im ordering from Venus, ( excuse my english im french canadian ). What you see is what you get for color and style, comfortable too but the size is AWFUL !!! To me the size is the most important thing because if not, you're not gonna wear it AT ALL. And when I say AWFUL I say im generally wearing a small size, and I ordered one x-small and 2 small shirts, and I literally received 2 large and 1 medium ! Even my mother would not wear the small ones and because I come from Canada, it would cost me a lot to ship and receive I don't know what size again. Im really disapointed, how can it be so out of the track with 3 different items ? If it was only one article on 3, I would not have bother to have spent 100 $ for 2 good articles at the end, but 3 on 3??? come on ! Like, Is there so many fat people in the USA that the small size is like a Large one in Canada ?? It Cant be ??!! OH and, I almost forgot, It took more than a MONTH to receive these.. So, If you live not in the USA, I dont think it's a good idea to command there, except if you really have a great talent in dressmaker. Unfortunately that's not my case.

I'm 5'8", 140-pounds, lean and athletic. Most people think I weigh much less :) I wear a size 2 or 4 Calvin Klein dresses or size Small dresses (a medium if junior sizing). I wear size 26 Rock-n-Roll Cowgirl jeans and 26/27 Silver jeans depending on style/cut. I wear a 32D and 32DD in bras from Dillard's but since they are hard to find I can make do with some 34D's. I mostly wear 32DD Body by Victoria's Secret Full Coverage bra. I have found a couple VS bra's in 34D not offered in 32DD that fit. At Target I can wear a medium bandeau top and the small bottoms of their mix-n-match styles. If I go with what they consider their junior's swimsuits, I need a large top that ties in the back and medium bottoms.

I placed my order for Venus Swimwear through their Web site. I ordered two swimsuits, one in the jewel green and the other in turquoise, but I ordered several size/style options. Going by their size chart, I chose to order a D-cup and a DD-cup tops; and size 4 and size 6 bottoms—I wasn't going to be able to exchange before our vacation. Bust 38 ; Waist 27-1/2 ; hips 37-1/2).

I ordered the turquoise Goddess Top and the Goddess bottom. First of all the turquoise is pretty close to what is pictured, maybe a tiny bit darker, but beautiful! The D-cup top fit the best, the DD-cup was huge! I'm kinda thinking a C-cup would fit more like the model in the picture, but I'm not complaining. I had to adjust the back as small as it would go. I'd love it to fit more snug so it would provide more band support for a boob lifting effect, but I'm not going to be running and playing volleyball in it. I do not fear a wardrobe malfunction. I could not tell the difference between the size 4 and size 6 bottoms in the Goddess. I haven't got it wet yet, but the rear of the suit is not lined, so I am concerned what will happen when I have a wet butt, however I'm a people-watcher at the beach, not a swimmer so I'm not too worried.

I also ordered the triangle top, enhancing triangle top, Goddess top and the tie-side bottom in jewel green. The color again was amazing! Gorgeous actually! The triangle top made it out of the pouch, but not on, it was extremely flimsy, no padding (hello nipples!) and there is no way it was a D-cup triangle top. The enhancing triangle top in the D-cup fit great. Again I think the C-cup would fit more like what is pictured in the catalog, but I'm not returning. I had to adjust the band as small as it would go, but remember I am 32-band size. The tie-side bottoms in 4 were small with minimal front coverage. The size 6 allowed me to have the right amount of front and rear coverage for me. The tie-side bottom looks great with the enhancing triangle top. Personally, the Goddess top with these bottoms looked awkward on me. Plus I didn't want two suits that were all matchy-matchy. The fabric of the jewel green felt a tiny bit thicker than the turquoise.

I am returning the leftovers of my order, so I can't comment on the "returning" experience. As far as receiving my order, I was able to get free shipping and paid $15 extra to get in the next day (I was in a hurry). I had my order in less than 24-hours. I will order again, next time I will try a C-cup as well as the D-cup since I know they fit. And I will stick to the size 6 bottoms, too.

Comparing to other brands of swimwear, I have an L*Space bandeau in size large (ties in back) with bottoms in size medium in blue iris. Their fabric feels sturdier and silkier. Can't compare too much since it was totally different style suits... I like the option of no-tan lines but my husband prefers halter tops. If anything, I can say they remind me of Body Glove's fit and feel.

Canadian buyer beware!!! I will. NEVER EVER purchase from Venus again. Along with paying for the merchandise you need to pay duties and taxes. As soon as I received the email that I needed to pay duties and taxes I called Venus to cancel my order as I felt like it was no longer worth the money. They went on to tell me that it was too late because the order was already processed. Keep in mind that I called to cancel within an hour of placing the order (the pay for duty and taxes email was sent almost immediately). The product arrives but from the fairly large order I kept one item and returned the rest. When returning not only does the consumer have to pay the shipping fees but also broker fees! What a bunch of BS!!! Why don't they have a system like Victoria Secret does where returns are sent to a local warehouse in the city and they send the products back without the customer having to pay extra for an international shipment and broker fees? NEVER AGAIN ..... EVER!!!!

I ordered 4 items from Venus and everything arrived within 3 days and I LOVED everything. The swimsuits fit perfectly and are well made. One dress was too big so I returned it and the new size arrived with no issues and no hassles. I have ordered from Venus several times over the past many years and I LOVE this company!

I found this company last year and ordered some sweaters and a dress for my upcoming Christmas party. Ordering was easy and everything came within a few days except for one item that was on backorder but that arrived a few days later. I LOVED everything so much that I ordered some tops, dresses, and a bathing suit for my summer vacation. I cannot express how happy I am with my order, especially with the swimsuit which I was really reluctant to order online. The top and bottom fit perfectly and the quality was great. I had one dress that was little big but the exchange process was quick and super easy. Venus is my new go-to online store!

I bought 2 pairs of pants, the camouflage cargo pant and the black coated denim pant. I'm usually a size 4 but according to their sizing I'm a 6. They fit perfect.
The only down side is that the fly (zipper) on the camo pant broke after wearing them twice. The teeth broke right off and so did the piece you pull upwards to zip the zipper!
I brought it to a seamstress and it ended up costing me $22 to get it replaced.
The coated denim pants are fine so far, they just have a funny smell.
I also ordered the faux leather sleeve sweater in a size small (I'm usually a medium)it fits perfect as well.
Their sizes are a bit off but if you follow the measurements they have you're good.
I wouldn't say the quality is the best, it's average.

I have ordered from them at least a half dozen times for everything from bathing suits, dresses, tops, and sweaters and never once had a major issue! Sure, a few items didn't fit here and there (particularly bathing suits) but honestly that's the risk you take of ordering online without being able to try it on! Even in stores, I can range through 2 or 3 different sizes and it's very difficult to find bathing suits that fit. I never had a problem returning for a refund, exchanging for a different size, or getting a credit slip and using it later. I did have an issue paying online with the credit slip, but I simply called the phone number (was connected instantly), and they were able to process it over the phone and let me use the additional savings promo code that was for web only orders. If I needed something by a specific date, I made sure to pay extra for the expedited shipping and they never failed to get here in time. I think people need to be more realistic of shopping for clothes online and the inherent risks that are involved with it (sizing, shipping speed, shipping costs). Also, read the fine print about returns/exchanges first. Venus has never left me surprised about their policies. This store will continue to be one of my top 3 stores for online shopping.

I ordered a dress for my relative in the USA, I am in the UK.

Well the first issue, their site has a field to select if the billing address is different, this I did as it was a birthday gift purchase.
Only after check out did the address come up as the same as the delivery address (the USA address)I immediately contacted them and was assured that this would be dealt with after chatting with an online agent named Fendi. And I requested an email confirmation that this was being done.

The following day I checked and it was the same - nothing was changed and no email confirmation received. I went into the change information area and changed this, thinking it would reflect immediately, this did not happen.I sent them an email complaint relating that the Billing Address is a London address and the Delivery address is a USA address.

This is the response I received: ''Good Morning,Thank you for your recent email. We apologize for any inconvenience. At this time, the order has not shipped. All International shipping information must be entered by a supervisor and not the chat representative. This information would have been hand written and submitted to a supervisor to complete the International shipping information. I am happy to take the information once again and resubmit to the appropriate supervisor.''

I emailed again stating that I do not require International Shipping and a gain repeated the issue, I have not received a response.I then went to chat with their online advisors where I repeated my issue again, and how irate I was and disappointed as this was my first time experience with this company.Lani - the advisor then stated that for international orders and shipping, I again told her it is not an international shipping it is being delivered to a USA address.

She then said to me that - and this is where I think this company is not secure and can be replicating customers credit/bank card details - she says to me I must provide her with the billing address again AND, provide her with the name of my bank, the address of my bankers, their telephone number and some other bank related number and they then have to call the bank and then call the deliver address to make verifications? They cannot authorise any payment until they make all those checks.

While talking to her I checked my bank account online and therein my pending transactions is VENUS.COM. REALLY....this is the first time in my online shopping that some one has requested all of this information.So if you needed all that info and you can't request funds until, why is there a payment request pending in my account and why is the billing address on their systems still the same as the delivery address????????????????

I told her that is was sounding fraudulent and dodgy and I would like to cancel, she got very defensive and then stated I need your billing details again to clear it up and your bankers information otherwise can I go ahead and cancel and disconnect this call.

I said to her please cancel my order.

Guess what my order is still NOT CANCELLED. I've sent them an email to this effect that they are basically doing fraud.

Still waiting on a response.

When did this happen: 16th into 17th JULY 2014

I ordered a blouse for my mother, for her birthday. It's been a month and a half, and the package still hasn't arrive. I will be filing a Charge back from my credit card company!!! Worst online retailer I've ever encountered. Do yourself a favor, and avoid doing business with this company Venus.com

dishonest, they charged us 6.95 for a label, a sticker, thought it was 6.95 for return ground shipping to return wrong size clothing. Turns out they charged us another 13.00 for the shipping. So our refund on a 22.00 top was 2.05. ABSOLUTE DISHONEST SCUM. NEVER AGAIN!!!!

I ordered 4 sweaters to Canada. And I paid $178.00 CAD in total for shipping and conversion rates. They are all VERY thin I'm scared to wash them or they will fall apart. CHEAP chinese quality, just like the other reviews. Walmart sells better quality clothes. The quality reminds me of a 0.50 shirt from china, NO JOKE. The pictures of the clothes on the models are different quality. RIP OFF!

I am a Canadian customer and ordered for 2 swimsuits June 15th. Long story short I received 1 bathing suit on July 23 after having to call and ask where my order was and when was it going to arrive. the second suit was no longer available. I will never order from this company again. If it takes 6 weeks to get an order that should take no more than 7-10 days I won't be ordering from them again.

I order from Venus since 3 years now and have about 20 of there dresses and other items, there all good quality and I always have compliments with them. The price is fair for the quality. Had one's an order delevered to me by mistake, they re embourced me. Usually receive my orders in 10 days. Good. No probleme with that.

Was not told that one top was on back order and just had the money removed from my account, had the order stopped before they sent it then had to fight with them for nearly three weeks to get my refund, the quality and sizing of the other tops that I received was poor the sizing was bigger then what it was supposed to be on the sizing guide and for $30 to $40 on some of the tops I expected a better quality fabric, I will never buy from them again and am now urging all my friends that are heading to America or to their site to stay away. No one needs this kind of problem when shopping online
