I entered into contract May 2013, finally got possession due to QCAT order Oct 2014. Contract inclusions not installed, council issued show cause notice for retaining walls still not approved, defective and unsafe home! Tried to extort additional funds above contract price with no changes of scope to contract. Too many tears shed on this atrocious build and contact. Choice your builder wisely!! Let me know if you have had similar poor experience with Visual Diversity.

We have built over 30 homes now as developers, we decided to build with visual diversity as the director Tony was very knowledgable and easy to trust. He understands the building industry, after dealing with over 14 builders in the past we knew what we wanted and what to look out for. Tony was upfront and delivered on his promise from the start. As all builds there are always a few hiccups but the end result was great. Will definitely deal with them again.

We have built two new homes with Visual Diversity now and we couldn’t be happier. They were built with the highest of quality. It all starts with Andrew as a sales person who is very helpful and Tony doing customised floor plans to suit your block. Tony his team were very helpful and nothing was a problem at all, they made the building process stress and hassle free as possible, we would highly recommend them.

This was our first home in Australia and our first build ever. As a kiwi you always feel like you have to remain guarded. We had been to many display villages from the Gold Coast to Brisbane. I had freaked myself out by reading alot of reviews on the the major building companies around including Visual Diversity.

The moment we walked into the display home at Pacific Cove we absolutely loved the house loved the raked ceilings and loved the feeling of space. Andrew was so easy to deal with, he didnt try to pressure us into unnecessary changes.

During the build process Kristie was amazing!! Any issues we had were only minor and these were sorted promptly. We only lived 5 minutes from the house so we visited often to check progress. I can honestly say it felt like eternity (haha mostly because we couldnt wait till it was finished). The house was actually finished before the contract date so it shows that it ran on time.

We have now moved into our amazing home, one week later we are trying to find things wrong but can say the workmanship is to a high quality. We are so happy that we were able to take advantage of the fixed costs there were no hidden costs like some of the nightmare reviews I had read.

Overall it has been a stress free build would highly recommend Tony and the team.at Visual Diversity.

I first walked into a visual diversity display after securing a block of land, first thing that grabbed my attention was that offered a fully inclusive package and were honest from the start. The process of finding out what each builder included or more likely didn't include was a very difficult process. What was offered at the start and quoted didn't change. During construction the administration were a good to deal with, we had a client liaison who kept us updated. The construction was slightly longer then other builders but there was more included in the home. We were happy to wait an extra 2 weeks and have a home that we love and our friends love too.

I have been holding off on writing a review until our house was finished but now that it is with the exception of a few small defects which are getting fixed on Saturday I just had to share my wife and I's experience with Visual Diversity.

We are a young married couple who made the bold decision to build our first home and overall it was one of the most stressful things I've ever done BUT the stress had nothing to do with Visual Diversity, in fact building with them is the best decision we ever made. We initially met Tony in the Durack display where our new home was being built and when we initially told him what we wanted to spend and what the home we wanted to build would cost through them, they were too expensive but in spite of this he then spent the next 2 hours with us explaining who would be best in our price range and what to look out for. After getting several other quotes and doing a lot more research we decided to increase the amount we wanted to spend and go with Visual as several other builders were offering less complete houses for up to 40k more.

Upon signing the pre lim process was easy, Rachael is amazing at what she does and always got back to me whenever we had questions and she was the one always driving us to get paper work back to speed the process up. But the thing that has impressed me the most is that they were always true to the word from day 1 and told us that as long as we communicated openly with them, they would work with us and they demonstrates this over and over. After we signed up if we ever needed to speak with Tony, we could always make a time to see him. When our finance nearly fell through due to an incompetent broker and bank there was no pressure from Visual and instead as soon as we told them what was going on Tony called me 20 mins later saying that if we desperately needed a new lender he had a contact with his bank who could meet us the next day if we needed it.

When the contract nearly fell through again at settlement we had exactly the same response. Communication throughout the build was also great, 99% of the time I got responses back within minutes or hours of sending questions through. My wife and I also ended being overseas at handover and once again Visual worked with us and Tony did the handover with our parents even after the office had technically closed over Christmas. Now that we are back from overseas and the office has re opened we have already arranged for the few minor defects to be attended to only days after contacting them. If you want to view the quality of the houses there are about 5 houses either recently finished or being built by Visual on our street
and when we spoke to our neighbour who had also just finished building with Visual he had nothing but praise for them as well. So in summary yes I am a real customer of visual, I think the negative comments on this wall are from their competitors because I just do not understand how their experience could be that bad considering how good ours and our neighbours experience of them was
and if we were ever going to build again they would be our first choice.

Signed contract February 2016 still not in our house and we're are in
April 2017 nearly!!
Too many excuses non existent customer service.
All happy to help at the start get you in the door feed you anything you want and need.
Until the minute you are locked in and then you're handed over to Admin staff his wife who take weeks to reply the builder/owner [name removed] will ring you and he NEVER does! Won't give you contact for supervisor which we didn't even get one till a year into our build have to speak to admin girls who never know what you are talking about when you call with a problem. It took 8 months to get an onsite meeting with owner and that was the month our house was meant to be finished and it was no way near finished and now 6 months later still not in.

15 months waiting for our home and still not in.
Seriously had been very stressful

House meant to be finished Dec 2016
Now march 21st 2017 and our house is NOT completed. ( UPDATE moved in May)
So disappointed is an understatement feel awful bagging people but this had to be said I hope no one goes through what we have with them I wish I read these reviews before we signed.
Moved in then the next day our oven was installed!!??? Gas and phone lines were completed so had no gas hot water oven phonelines when we moved in. Oven was faulty and day 5 living there with no oven as it is faulty visual diversity take no responsibility for this nor do their suppler reece electrical who installed the oven! Hops been repaired day 3 of moving but still with an oven that doesn't even work after all the stress and drama this is just the icing on the cake. So disappointed and sad it's hasn't been worth the tears and stress this build.
Only plus side is I do love the floor plan of our home. Very substandard workmanship of house cheaps and poor job.

We just completed our very first house with the team from Visual Diversity, From the first moment Andrew set the bar high with his great help in choosing the design which came with a complete set price with no additional hidden costs,

The team on site did an amazing job with some outstanding trades and the office kept us up to date with any questions promptly answered,

We would highly recommend the team and would use them again in any future builds.

I recently built with Visual Diversity.
The whole process of building a house with this builder was terrible.
I totally regret ever selecting Visual Diversity as my home builder & wouldn't recommend this builder to even build a chook pen.
They have an arrogant attitude to the customer & contractors, backed by a distinct lack of knowledge for the building trade.
The lack of communication skills showed by this company is mind boggling.
All trade were sub-standard, resulting in a sub-standard product.
Be warned stay clear & build with a more reputable builder who can be trusted to treat you with respect.

Bad communication, arrogant attitude, lack of knowledge, sub-standard building

Being a first home owner, everything was very overwhelming and daunting at the beginning. But I still remember the first day at the display house, my husband and I felt in love with the beautiful raked roof and we HAD to have it. Andrew was so helpful and knowledgable so that we were able to get the floor plan that was best suited for us within our budget. He suggested things that we would have not thought of ourselves!
Colour selection was great too, had a great range of colour & products. Lucky we weren't too indecisive otherwise we would have had trouble choosing the colours.
Council approval took a while, but when building finally started, it was really quick. We lived in Brisbane at the time so we were coming down every week / fortnight to see the progress, it was truly amazing to see different stages completed in each time we visited. Kristie was fantastic, communication was never an issue for us. During the construction, we emailed once about a minor issue, Kristie promptly escalated this to the supervisor and kept us updated. Everything ran very smoothly, no nasty surprises or hidden cost like some of the horror stories about building a house. When we did our defect walk through with Tony, I was very impressed with his attention to details as there were so many things marked by him that we couldn't have picked up on. He was very approach able and professional. There were some minor defect that we picked up on and they were all sorted or plan to be sorted.
The whole process was so much easier than we expected. We have been in our new house just over a week now, we could not be happier! I'm so proud that I could call this house our home and strongly recommend Visual Diversity!!!
We would definitely build again with them in the future.

The build process was a little drawn out due to a fair few rain days and the Christmas break, construction took about 5 months. The building process was still enjoyable, the suppliers for the colours, textiles and facade had a large range, allowing our home to have a lovely finish on a first home owners budget.

We love that Visual Diversity have the solid concrete slab and steel frame. It makes the house feel safer, and is a more solid foundation. We opted for a large door and hallway, raked ceiling and ducted air conditioning, the home feels open and spacious, and we get many comments on how beautiful our home is.

The Visual Diversity team were always prompt in returning correspondence and answering any questions, especially Andrew, who was very reassuring.

Tony offered genuine advice and was very thorough with the defect walkthrough, and made certain that any issues were resolved promptly, so that we could move in early, as we had to move out of a rental property by a certain deadline.

We have been in our home for about 6 months now, very few defects were found after moving in, this included the back sliding doors sticking, the knobs on the oven were reversed and our caesar-stone bench top not being sealed down. All of the above issues were resolved within days of being reported.

We plan on living in our home for many years to come, but if we were to ever build again, I would be more than happy to choose Visual Diversity.

I moved into my home in 2014, the workmanship was very high quality. I changed a few things and added a large butler's pantry, Tony was patient and nothing was too much trouble resulting in a first class high quality home. Recently I called Tony about fixing something, which I might add was the first time I needed to. Tony dropped everything and was with me within the hour. He took the time to provide me good advice and then fixed a couple of small things even though he was not required, he did it anyway. He went out of his way. I have never had this level of support and customer service from any builder let alone from the owner of the company. I could not recommend Visual Diversity highly enough, I was looked after and always felt important.

I recently built with Visual Diversity and it was nothing short of disgraceful.

This company should be avoided at all costs, as don't be fooled by the cheap price, it's because they will give you a poor quality home. The attitude of the builders and their staff is nothing short of disgraceful.

The builder constantly ignored my emails or phone contacts regarding inferior work, to which they still haven't fixed. Every trade supplied inferior work, such as plumbing drains blocking, timber frame work not installed properly, large gaps between finished render work and the windows, so bad that you can actually see through into the timber frame.

I would not recommend this company to build anything. They will ignore all correspondence and when they do happen to reply to my emails, they supply an arrogant attitude. They seem to enjoy being at war with clients and contractors. Not a very good business plan. Do yourself a favour and avoid this builder at all costs, you will be better served not having to be treated with total disrespect and arrogance.

Disgraceful attitude to the client, poor build quality, poor contractors.

#delivery(3/5) #price(3/5) #quality(3/5) #customer service(3/5) #on-time(3/5)

I chose Visual Diversity as the builder of my new house as they were the cheapest builder of a house for the size that I wanted. The old adage that if it seems too good to be true, it normally means that it is and sadly this is the case with this builder. The finishing of their work is disgraceful, nothing lines up & when I bought it to the builders attention, I was totally ignored. The builder has no communication at all once once you sign the contract, a fact I found most disappointed, as they seem to be all very helpful in the pre-signing of the contract but then refuse to answer emails or fail to return any phone calls made to their head office once the contract has been signed. There are gaps in walls, timber fitouts & framing is all out of square, we actually had a internal door fall off its hinges & all other doors dont line up, roof plumbing that sagged, cornices not straight and they don't follow the contract specifications, always trying to neglect to supply items correctly, hoping that I had missed the items being installed. Totally dishonest. So as you can see it was a constant frustration being basically ripped off by this builder & then being ignored when I tried to have the contract items supplied correctly. I'm so disappointed with the whole build quality that I simply want to sell the house & start again with a builder who will supply what I had paid for in the contract & have a builder simply communicate with me. And beware of their Gold Inclusions, if they can get around supplying the items in this schedule they will try to fail to supply the items. They basically try & rip you off, no honesty from the builders part. No communication at all from the builder who ignores all emails & phone calls.

Bad Quality, Bad communication, always failing to supply items as per contract. Dishonest.

We recently built with Visual Diversity & what a disaster. They use shoddy contractors who dont know what they are doing so the builder can save costs.
We had walls that werent square, tile joints that werent in line, timber door frames that werent square, blocked sewer line that cuased backblock of sewer back into house.

There communication is non-existant once you sign the contract with repeated calls & emails to the builder ignored over major defect work in the building. One word describes this builder disaster!!! So beware people we dont want anymore consumers suffering the same fate as us & other Visual Diversity consumers who we have spoken with. They are all so disappointed.
It was a total let down building with Visual Diversity, bad builders with bad communication
The whole process was a disaster, the lack of communication, poor shoddy building standard & poor quality materials.

We have never written a review of our Visual Diversity build home completed August 2013, but would like to do so now, as we realised how lucky we were to have chosen them to build our home. It was our first home we ever build and had no idea about a lot of things. Now we understand how helpful everybody, especially Tony was. The quality of material and workmanship was of very good standard and the cost of a 4 bedroom 278 sq meter home was very reasonable.
We sold the house after 5 years and moved to Wide Bay area and build again with another company as Visual Diversity does not build in this area, and we are not impressed with our new home. Visual Diversity's workmanship and quality was absolutely excellent in comparison to our now build home. Visual Diversity was helpful and always available.

Thank you again Team Visual Diversity
