I managed to reach my goal weight within the agreed 3 month contract and then took on 3 months of the app online to ensure maintenance of my weight. I found that as long as you stick to the program you will lose weight and sticking to the program was pretty easy, for me that is. The only downside is that once you have finished your contract your on your own. No literature or site to continue the smart points tracking and in my opinion it’s a setup for failure and ultimately rejoining in the future to do it all again. Great program WW not so hot on the follow up.

I was a member of the online program for 4 months. Reading the bad reviews on this site gave me a great insight into potential cancellation problems so I called and cancelled my membership 6 weeks before my contract was due to end and so far so good. Hopefully no billing issues when my contract ends in 2 weeks!

What I liked about WW is that the program actually works. I ate freely from the zero points food and counted all my other foods and so I naturally found myself eating more lean protein, fruits and veges. I've lost 11.5kgs in the last 14 weeks which is miraculous for me. I've struggled with my weight for 7 years and every other diet I've been on, I've lost anywhere from 3 to 12kgs but then I've put it all back on and some more when I'd fall off the wagon. After doing WW for 4 months, my appetite has actually changed so much and I don't get as hungry and I don't crave junk foods like I used to. It's really quite incredible. Because I ate freely from the zero points foods, I was able to follow an intuitive eating type program, listening to my bodies cues for hunger and fullness. I was really attracted to this idea that WW embraces a holistic wellness and is not just another diet where you restrict calories and deprive yourself and inevitably trigger binge eating. But I really didn't see much of that in actual practice which leads me to what I didn't like about the program - the community.

WW have their own facebook type app called Connect. At first I did find it inspiring to see the weight loss success stories and see that the program works. But then when I was on there all the time I could see some really toxic themes. Firstly there is a lot of fat shaming. People posting about how disgusting they look in their before pic or how they're 'never going back' to their before weight and people talking about how great their life is now that they are thin. (As though all of their problems just magically disappeared). I eagerly waited for someone to say something like 'oh you look great in both pics hon' and not once did I ever see this happen. And then there are these constant posts from people boasting of how much weight they've lost and the desperate measures they are taking to lose it and really it's just the same rubbish that every diet company pushes. This ridiculous idea that we will somehow be happier if we are thin and it's all one big rush to get to that place. They really need something in place to raise their communities ideas to a higher level and to this idea of wellness that they say they aspire to rather than this archaic 'fat is bad' view that they promote. And of course it goes without saying that, with beliefs like this, most of their members are gaining all of the weight back and then returning to the program, again and again.

So I tried not to expose myself to Connect very often but then it's a lot to pay $38 a month for a meal tracking apps so thankfully I found the app I Track Bites and I am just using the free version and it has been really good so far. I'm going to buy a few of the latest WW cookbooks because that is something that is REALLY good about WW, their recipes. So many great, simple, quick to cook, delicious and nutritious meals. Life changing.

The other thing I like about the I Track Bites app is that you can manually adjust your points value. I'm not sure how many other WW member has ever tried this as everyone seems to be obsessed with eating the least, but I found that I can still lose 0.5-1kg a week on 45-70 points a day. I spoke to an online coach and she said I must be tracking wrong but I assure you I am not. I'll adjust it back down to 26-32 if my weight loss lows down but it has been 4 weeks now and I feel great. Mind you, I'm not eating junk with the extra points, just larger serves of healthy complex carbs and nuts.

i genuinely hope WW do evolve into this Wellness Works program but they are nowhere near that yet from my perspective as an online member.

I am not a weight watchers member, but tried there chicken and mushroom fettucine absolutely terrible, four pieces of chicken,6 peas, hardly any mushroom, and the sauce you had to eat with a spoon.
Normally cook my own food, but husband in hospital, and thought after a long day at hospital would try a frozen meal.
Believe me never again!!!!

Program worked and I lost 17 kg in first year. Then I plateaued for 12 months. Then they changed the programme and I still plateaued. I have just discovered NOOM and am finally losing again. I am very active burning 2700 calories most days and 23 points was just to low for me I understand that now. Pleased to have found another way.

I joined weight watches on a 6month plan but 2 months in needed to cancel as I moved far away from any meetings so rang up to cancel . They didnt seem to care I wanted cancel cause I couldn't use the service all they are after is your money . Not helpful at all . Cost far to much to what it's worth terrible that you cant cancel for a genuine reason . Wouldn't recommend.

At nearly $80 a month it is very expensive. The points plan was great until they introduced the points free foods. Many of these foods are very high in calories, so having lost weight on the old program, I then gained weight. Of course one can’t break the contract. The face to face meetings were great and the psychology part is great. Ww frozen meals are awful. I now use Youfoodz which is fantastic. Track using MyFitnessPal which is free.

You are locked in to a 6 month contract. I just wanted three months. Over $600.00 plus the food purchased ended up being a very expensive process for pretty much paying to get weighed in every week.

If you are thinking of purchasing the weight watcher app save your money
It’s so bad, honestly you can download free calorie counting app that will do a better job
I have reached out to them to cancel but didn’t reply to my emails and when I called them they refuse to stop my membership and will charge me for the 3 month so $90 down the drain
I can’t see this app surviving this trial period

I messaged chat to change to a new more cost efficient 6 month plan from 3 month plan which I signed up to 4 business days prior but the agent said that it has been 7 days and the cooling off ended 5 days. Monday was a public holiday too. If you want to change or cancel which is impossible, you need to chat or call BUT if you want to sign up, you can do that online. So easy to take money but impossible to make changes. The queue to call is usually over 30 mins too. On a positive note, I found the coaches at the meetings lovely. Maybe the head office staff should get out and meet the members and stop being rude and money driven.

Weight Watchers gives you perfectly boring and dull food you could get for yourself at the supermarkets and whip up in ten to fifteen minutes. I tried it for my mother and she thought it wasn't worth the money. Really, all you have to do is pop down to the shops, instead of paying $30!

I have been a member in WW online for the best part of 10 years. It initially helped me lose approx 15 kgs and I've gone back to it many times to stay or get back on track. As with any of these things you need to make an effort - sometimes I stick to it, sometimes I don't - but I have found it gives me the framework I need to make better choices with my food and be mindful of the portion sizes. with each new release if the iPhone app and reworking of the points system I have seen vast improvements over that time. Tracking on the app could not be easier. If you are a creature of habit like me you can feasibly track your days meals in a handful of taps. Having my weight history over the past decade available in a graph serves as both motivation and a warning, not to mention it's pretty interesting to look back over. The Commununity is really good too. Sometimes when I feel like I'm going to fail or give in to temptation I can just browse everyone's stories and ideas and it's enough to get me motivated or serves as a distraction - I don't personally contribute posts. Great recipe ideas on there too. Would highly recommend.

I’ve done WW in the past and while I’ve lost weight on it , the new WW is the best ! Easy to use app , great food selection, love the zero point food concept, I go to meetings and it makes you accountable, this in my opinion is a must , no point in doing online only as it’s easy to give up , love love love WW ! By the way I’ve lost 10 kilos in 10 weeks , I have 15 kg to go and know I’ll achieve this , however your mindset needs to be right

First time on WW and so far have lost 12kg and don't feel as though I am on a diet at all. App is great and easy to use, heaps of recipes, connect is great for motivation and sharing goals - love how supportive the connect family is!
Program is super easy to follow and really, all it is doing is "forcing" you to eat healthy and avoid processed, packaged junk.
My only regret is I didn't join earlier!

I downloaded the app for a 'Free Trial" but somehow I still got billed $37. When I contacted WW they said I could only cancel it through iTunes. I had to google how to do it and waste my time. WW have lost their way and do not treat potential customers well at all. I would not recommend WW.

I wouldn't even give the new version of WW 1 star as it is an absolute waste of money. All you get is access to an App for an outrageous monthly subscription fee which you can't get out of. No weekly meal plans - absolutely zero value of money.

I joined weight watchers on line for 3 months. They continued taking money from my account after this time. Apparently this is in the small print. They refused to refund my money even though I did not access any resources or attend any meetings. They were rude. It is hard to cancel as you have to phone and be on hold for extended period. Be careful this is a business, they do not care about you.

I recently bought two gourmet mango coconut chicken meals. The box said it was served with vegetables. When I opened the meal I saw to my horror that it contained lots of capsicum red and green. I cant eat capsicum so tried to pick it out. I was left with a few corn kernels a little rice and four very small pieces of chicken floating in some yellowish sludge that did not taste to me as if it had ever been close to a mango or any coconut. Now I remember why I had decided never to buy weightwatchers again.

I was satisfied with the 6 month membership at $45.30. Post-membership, WW deducted $75.50 without notification after the 6 months was over. When I queried that my membership was over, why am I being charged an unauthorised amount of $75.50, Customer service told me that I should refer to the agreement that I made and that the membership automatically switches over to the original fee. I am disappointed because when an agreement is made for 6 months, deductions should cease. Not almost double without any communication from WW. I find this very deceptive. I will not refer or use WW again, sadly.
