I have used this company twice during lock down. The first time my order was delivered promptly, communication from the company was clear and efficient. The second order was lost in transit, but I received a prompt and personal email clearly stating my options, and my refund was made quickly and without fuss. I will be happy to buy from this company again.

DON’T BOTHER!!
I know these are unusual times but the customer service is appalling. If there was a no stars button I would give them that.
12/4 ordered 2 bags of compost
14/4 email to say it had been shipped with DPD and tracking number. That tracking number says not received goods yet and still does on the 30th April, nearly 3 weeks later.
Received generic email off YT few days later to say might not be able to track as some delivery company’s choosing not to scan to speed process.
I have since emailed YT 3 times and had no response.
I tried ringing them but you cannot contact them at this time as they have suspended their lines.
This is terrible service, beginning to worry if it is genuine?
Nearly 3 weeks now and heard nothing. Tried to find a phone number for DPD and all I can find is a Lithuanian one-tried filling a contact us form in but it won’t go through.
Anyone have a UK number?
My 3rd email sent 2 days ago I asked for my money back, see if I ever get an answer. I doubt it.

Exactly the same scenario as previous review. Goods not received and no response to emails. Original message said despatched, goods still not received by carrier after 3 weeks. No response to emails requesting a refund. Avoid at all costs.

Same as Paul below, ordered fence paint two weeks ago. No reply to 2 e-mails, phone service closed. Paid way over the odds, paint now available much cheaper in B and M. Shouldn't accept orders if they can't deliver.

Ordered some gloss paint on the 18th which was dispatched to Hermes. Hermes appears to have lost it but I can not contact hermes as I am not their customer.
No way of contacting Yorkshire trading company as phones are down and they DO NOT REPLY to email.
Do not use this company as once they take your money you will have zero contact.

Ordered some fencing paint on the 15th didn’t receive any confirmation they took payment straight away no details on when We are to get delivery called them 4 times message explains that they are overwhelmed due to the Coronavirus please email Them that’s shown on Web page which we have at least 3 times, the company is a shame and should be taken to account make sure you do not buy from them!!!! and be patient and go to the big boys such as BQ as they maybe expensive but at least you get the goods You ask for

I have placed 4 separate orders with Yorkshire trading. 2 arrived. The other two have not and despite my repeated requests for information, I receive no response whatsoever from them . It scandalous.

So these guys are con artists. I often bulk order household essentials from amazon. Things like detergent, conditioner, kitchen paper. I ordered £65 of kitchen roll from these guys, then when I looked more closely they were sending two bags of four kitchen rolls. That is £8 a roll. Wow.
I obviously cancelled immediately, but the package arrived nonetheless.
In the end they sent two bags of two kitchen rolls which works out at £16 per roll.

Shocking.

What is more shocking is the fact they have done this during Coronavirus. Profiting off people misery and suffering.

Price gouging is illegal.

These guys are amoral.

Avoid like the plague.

they have recently been selling a hand sanitiser called sursol, which when you google the ingredients could be carcinogenic. The active ingredient,polyaminopropyl biguanideis, is banned in Europe. They should not be selling this potentially dangerous item.

I ordered half a dozen cleaning products yesterday - they've just been delivered by Hermes. The correct items in a box just big enough (not like Amazon!). Well done Yorkshire Trading, full marks!

Ordered some bottled cleaning products online which arrived reasonably quickly. However, because they were packaged in jiffy wrap within a bag they had badly burst. Couldn't get through by phone but sent numerous emails which went unanswered. I eventually gave up assuming that I was being ignored but bearing in mind that due to the current Coronavirus situation that perhaps they were short staffed. A few weeks later I was contacted by email apologising & informing me that they would re-send the order which I received very quickly. This time they were boxed & in perfect condition. Therefore, I cannot complain about their customer service - yes, they didn't reply immediately but we are currently living in abnormal times. Bear with them & they may surprise you. I would re-order through them again.

Amazing! Ordered 2 cake tins Friday morning and they arrived by Saturday lunch time wasn’t expecting them until at least middle of next week! Only a small shipping fee of £2.99 and the items are great quality and no where near as costly as other baking suppliers! FAB! 100% recommend!

Ordered 4 gravel trays, order with delivery cost nearly £8.00. Delivery was fairly quick but 2 of 4 trays broken. I tried to email but believe my emails have been blocked!!! Went through Messenger and left email and requested replacements, no response so far. I will return and do another review if they are replaced. Watch this space.
