They had a great price on my Dailies, < $30 a box. I ordered 8 of them and when I got to the final page the other shoe dropped - $100+ "handling fee". Ok, I was pretty much expecting this. Even after that it was still a fairly low price so I placed the order. The confirmation email gave an estimated arrival time of 9 - 13 days out. After 9 days the order status still said "in fulfillment". I contacted them via their online chat facility. I was told they were out of stock and that it would be 4 weeks from the time of my order before they would ship. I cancelled my order. I am going to be without contacts pretty soon. It sure would have been nice to know that these were on backorder so I wouldn't have wasted 9 days. As to the response from Lens.com below... I rechecked my order and the processing fee was indeed $38.81. My apologies for misstating that. However, I stand by my review. The concept of a "processing fee" is on its own a deceptive pricing tactic. And I don't know this from personal experience, but from reading other glowing Lens.com reviews I understand that fee is not returned in the event a customer has a problem and requests a refund. After cancelling my order I placed the same order with a competitor on Sunday evening 1/26. Since I am running low on lenses I contacted them via their web chat facilities on Monday morning 1/27 and inquired as to the expected delivery date. I was informed "They need to be ordered from the manufacturer. That takes 1-2 business days to receive. We ship the same day we get them in." On 1/29 I received shipment notification with an expected delivery date of 1/31. How is it that it takes Lens.com a stated 4 weeks to fulfill an out-of-stock order when this company can acquire and deliver out-of-stock product within 5 days? And I say a "stated 4 weeks" because again from reading other reviews I see that slipping delivery schedules are common. I saw the Lens.com call come in. I didn't answer because it came from an 800 number which is almost always spam. After listening to the voice mail I debated returning the call. Not because I had a renewed interest in doing business with Lens.com, I was just morbidly curious as to why they would bother to call an individual unsatisfied customer. Read your reviews! They are all unsatisfied! Oh sure, I see an occasional positive review but those are so 180 degrees from most reviews I can only surmise that they are posted by Lens.com or agents of the company. This outfit has obvious systemic problems that can't be remedied by addressing each unsatisfied customer individually. Slow delivery, exorbitant "processing fees", unfulfilled rebates, etc. The goal should be to satisfy your customer in the first place, not to call and assuage them after you p1ss them off.

I highly recommend that people should NOT order from this company. I have found them to be fraudulent, unfair, and just plain thieves. I ordered contacts and never received them and they refuse to refund my money until I return the contacts. How can I return something I never received? I work very hard for my money, live paycheck to paycheck like most people. To have a company charge you for a product, plus an astronomical service fee, plus tax, PLUS expensive shipping fee, and then never deliver the product and refuse a refund. I was on the phone for over half an hour and spoke to 3 different people and received 3 different stories. They took my money and didn't deliver and refuse to give me a refund.

I ordered a pair of frames from this site and had second thoughts immediately after ordering. I called them back right away and cancelled with no problem. Three days later, I have had numerous charges show up on my debit card from stores in New York. Stay away from these thieves as they will compromise your information and steal from you.

I purchased Ray Ban sunglasses from this store (it was around 1/3x cheaper than everywhere else) it arrived in about 5 days well packed and shipping was free etc etc. I used it for about a week and didn't really like it so I just put it back in the box and sent it back to them (I payed return shipping of course) didn't have to tell them why or that I was shipping it and I got credited the whole amount back to me. I guess the moral of the story is buy glasses online only if you already tried them on and like them and EJ's is a good store with reasonable prices.

In addition to me earlier review, this is an update as of 2/23. ------------------------------------------------------------------ After searching through out and finding that the sunglasses we wanted for our kids are back ordered at every place, my wife ordered them again through EJ's as their web-site showed them in stock. This time, instead of using the credit card, we chose to use the Paypal to abbreviate merchant's fear of online fraud. Order went through, received system generated order accepted email immediately. Next day, we received "order approved" and subsequently order fulfilled email by the end of the day. But this time the tracking number for the shipment was missing from the last email. Ignoring that as perhaps user entry error, we decided to wait. Nothing showed up for 4 days and then we called EJ's, dreading that we might be going to speak to the same manager. Thankfully, it was a different person who identified himself as the owner of the store. We told him the issue and he promised to get back to us in a day time. And he did, and told us that they didn't have the items in stock (hmmm..) but ordered directly from the manufacturer with a drop ship request. At the end of the call, he also mentioned about the review and told us that he will definitely work to improve the customer service experience. We received the glasses two days after that call directly form mfgr, who shipped them Fedex ground. Well, as long as the merchant is recognizing and making an effort to address customer concerns, in my opinion, they are good merchants. Therefore, I decided to bump the stars (from 1 to 4) on this review. ---------- Earlier Review ---------------- Horrible-horrible experience!!! I broke the frame of one of my favorite sunglasses and after a search, I could find just the frame at EJ's. I placed the order, and received the confirmation e-mail. Right after the order I realized that I wanted to order pair of sunglasses for my kids too. To save on shipping, I decided to club the order with my previous order. It was already past 5 pm central time, no one available on the phone, so I tried to go into my order page to change it -- couldn't do it as there was no such option. I decided to send an e-mail to change or cancel the existing order thinking that they would at least be able to modify it before they ship. The next e-mail I got was that my order was shipped and my CC was charged for full amount including shipping. There was NO e-mail regarding my request or even an acknowledgement that yes we received your email but we can't do it. No apologies or nothing. Fine! So, after receiving the frame I placed another order, this time only for the kids' sunglasses. I got 2 emails - order confirmation and order fulfilled and then, BAM! came the 3rd mail - order cancelled. Reason - credit card declined. Hmm.. it shouldn't have happened, never in the history of my online shopping, my card was ever declined. Even, I had placed the earlier order using the same card. Thinking that things happen, I placed the same order using another card. Got order confirmation email, pending approval. Next email was order cancelled without specifying any reason. In the mean time, I called my credit card company and they told me that none of my card were punched for the payment or the payment was never presented to my bank, so there is no possibility of declining. I called the store (EJ's) to understand the reason and to figure out why my order was cancelled. A woman claiming to be store manager picked the phone and told me that she called my phone number and it went to someone in Georgia (I'm in California). She claimed that it was a red flag for her and she thinks I'm an online fraud. WOW! I tried to reason if I'm fraud why would I call in, and look at my earlier shopping history where he payment went through and in all my orders, both my billing and shipping addresses are same. To which she continued that this is another red flag for her as I'm trying hard to convince her. She continued with her blabber that she is in this business for quite some time, didn't start just this morning and have enough intelligence. Yes, you do have intelligence.... OF A HOG. She never went over the possibility that she might have dialed a wrong number or that I gave two different card numbers on two separate occasions. If one declined, she could have used the second one but the problem is she never presented the cards for payment. With such level of intelligence, she would definitely help the store owner shut down his business sooner. If I had been trying to fraud, I would have ordered the most expensive pair of glasses and not just an order totaling $70. She literally started yelling on the phone interrupting me whenever I tried to say something. This was their idea of customer service, HORRIBLE!!. If they are so scared doing business online, they should just stop it or should not allow any forms of credit card payments.

My name is Earl Whipple and I sent in two Giorgio Amani Rx frames for spring hinges, new nose piece, and an arm repair. Sent them in on June 8, 2011 any a phone conversation w/ Christine in their lab on June20th and was given an estimate of 30 days - 2 week back log on their work and 2 weeks to perform the actual work. In mid-July I followed up and after several phone calls I got through and was told my glasses were being worked on, should be completed in about ten days, and shipped. In August I began leaving more voicemail and emails - first once a week then later twice a week. On August 15th I received a message from a woman saying a conversation was needed to finish the job. Since that date I have left messages almost every day explaining I was returning THEIR call.. nothing. I call the Christine the lab tech's cell number, the main number, and the customer inquiry email address. I type this for others to be aware - I just filed a report with the Upstate New York Better Business Bureau at" Better Business Bureau, Inc. After several failed attempts to send the correct replacement temple parts for my vintage aviator frames, Mr. Cornell promised to mail me a refund. He claimed he could not reverse the credit to my card and tried to place blame on me saying I objected to him sending the required "nub" or "knuckle" part which makes no sense since I was desperate to get the correct parts. Lots of promises followed by excuses, and dragging out repairs. Buyer beware on this business.

I've made a few orders from clearly, the first order I got an excellent deal buy one get one free so I got 2 pairs of really nice glasses for a total of $63 dollars and they came days after I ordered. My last order 2 days after placing it the glasses we're here, they have the quickest service 2 days is all I've had to wait when I go in person anywhere else it takes at least 2 weeks and I've waited a month for glasses so I'm very happy I don't have to wait when I order from clearly. Not to mention the prices are way less I just had a pair of lenses made for old frames and paid $130 just for basic lenses, times I've had new glasses with lenses I've paid $450 but at clearly I can spend less than $100 for a complete pair of glasses and if they have a sale even less, and get faster service I really like being able to skip the whole thing of going in to a store and overpay and wait weeks, the glasses I've gotten at clearly have all been great quality. I have never been able to see clearly under water before until I bought my Aquagoggles. I ordered these with my current prescription, and used them for the first time on a cruise to the Caribbean. They are extreme high quality and I was just blown away the first time I used them, I could see clearly and with great distance in the ocean. They never leaked water and they never fogged up. Wow, highly recommended. The price was great too.

Bought the ReMix 2.0 grey primarily for running and they have exceeded all my expectations. Very light (you hardly know they're on) and crucially no bounce' unlike some I've previously used. Having used them for a 2 hour plus run today I can honestly say these are THE most comfortable sunnies I've ever had, and I'm very critical about such things. Microeye lens is the best color contacts company out there. They offer a highly permeable colored contacts that offer comfort during extended wear. This is great for me because I look for cosmetic contacts with prescription. this means I need to wear them all the time all day and so comfort is very important to me. I love that I don't have to sacrifice one for the other. I love that I don't have to sacrifice one for the other.. I can have cosmetic contacts with prescription and high comfort all in one. I purchased the Seattle brown contacts that give my dark eyes just enough vibrance. I love micro eye lenses !
