I ordered a sink on jan 12th, with an estimated delivery time for the end of February. I checked the delivery date on February 23rd and saw the sink was now estimated for April 30th. No one had contacted me, so I was not made aware of any delay. I called Lusso to find out if the date was correct and was told on the phone the delivery could be July. In an email I was assured in was still estimated for end of April. This is now the only item missing in the entire house refurb and the date for delivery is now end of JUNE. I have had to chase Lusso each time to be aware of the delays, and they wash their hands of any responsibilities as it is an ‘estimated delivery time’. I’m sure if I estimated I would pay in January and didn’t pay until July things would be different. The delays have left me with several bad options, I wish I had been told it could take this long at the start and could have gone elsewhere. I could now order a different sink, and have to wait for that to arrive, and pay the builder to return and fit it, or wait for this one, which I feel now may never arrive, and pay the builder to return and fit it. The bathroom has already been made to accommodate this sink and this has left me in a frustrating position. Lusso have been uncommunicative and I have received no compensation and no apology. It’s ‘challenging times’ apparently. AVOID.

We had been looking to order a new marble fireplace for sometime and have visited several specialist showrooms nearby in East Yorkshire and we were at the point of ordering when we came across Designer Fireplaces in Birmingham 120 miles away We were very impressed by the items on offer on line but initially a little dubious as not being able to visit them and we needed our new item to be a bespoke size Despite this we sent an enquiry to Mick and Pete and eventually placed an order What a find their prices the quality the service the attention to detail is absolutely outstanding they can’t be faulted in any way There are lots of bigger companies who could learn a lot about this company If you had any doubts about using Designer Fireplaces then don’t save yourself a lot of money and receive the best possible service including their recommended installer

We have had a McDonald's cylinder for 8 years storing hot water from a solid fuel stove in winter, solar panels in summer and topped up via a gas boiler as required. Recently a problem relating to the overheat radiators and solar panel system led to a call to McDonald's for advice. Bruce was fantastic, taking the time to listen, checking photos and calling back as promised. His clear advice gave me the confidence to make an adjustment which has solved the problem. I am chuffed to bits! It's rare these days to find good technical advice at the end of the phone, so many thanks to Bruce and well done McDonald's.

I cannot comment on reliability as the thermal store I recently purchased has only been in place for 6 weeks but in all other respects McDonalds have been fantastic. My need was for for a bespoke Thermal store in terms of its size as it had to go into the loft through a narrow access flap. It was absolutely no issue to have the rectangular tank made longer, narrower and taller than the standard size. This was discussed on the phone and followed up with a full drawing. The tank arrived from Scotland within about 5 days I cannot recommend them too highly

Recently purchased new composite door which came with 3 keys. Needed spares. Found this company via internet search. Ordering straightforward. Payment easy, though was surprised at the price of keys (only ever had Yale type before which are cheap) - strong word to teenage son that replacements will come out of his weekly allowance! Keys arrived within a week, well packaged and work perfectly.

I appointed Milcol to carry out all plumbing and heating works for refurbishment of my five bedroom, 300 year old property. Milcol installed all new pipe work throughout the property, a new central heating system including repositioning of the boiler, complete fitting of additional newly built bathrooms and en-suites and redirection of external gas supply pipe to the property. All the work was carried out to an exceptionally high standard, the Milcol team are extremely professional, friendly, hard working and very knowledgeable. I would have no hesitation in recommending this company to anybody. I could not have asked for a better job.

We have a Grade II Listed 1740 Town House with Georgian facade with 9 front/side sash windows which rattled, leaked and once even let snow into our daughter’s bedroom. We had been looking for years for a suitable secondary glazing solution, which is sensitive to the Listing, easy on the eye and effective in terms of noise and heat loss reduction. Mitchell and Dickinson has been a superb choice! It uses a quality skilled team of surveyors, craftsmen and supported by best customer service. This is not a cheap option, however the payback period is good in terms of energy bills; and the quality of the work is superb. We have noticed immediately a huge difference in warmth in the house as well as a dampening of the external noise. We would recommend this company to anyone. They renovated nine large sash windows and installed secondary glazing in my top floor apartment in a grade II listed building opposite a Cathedral. They did a great job and were actually recommended by a lady in the council's listed buildings department. High quality of work and there has been a noticeable reduction in external noise and heat loss. It wasn't a cheap exercise but I'm sure it'll be recovered in reduced energy bills and on an increased value of the apartment. The work did cause some disturbance which I suppose was to be expected, but I would definitely recommend them.

Ordered timber decking which took 4 separate deliveries and many phone calls into the branch to sort out. This took over 2 weeks from ordering. If ordering, ensure they have the stock before hand and ensure someone gets up off their backside to check not on the system as this doesn't seem to be right! My decking project has been ruined and had to be re-designed due to different stock turning up very very last minutes, as in 10 minutes before delivery! Quality of stock is good but organisation is very very poor! Edit: zero offer of compensation and more empty apologies offered

I have recently completed a house renovation which required me to fit two bathrooms and a downstairs toilet. Is it wrong of me to say I almost looked forward to my (very regular!) Saturday morning trips to Moran's?!? At the beginning of the project I needed quite a bit of guidance around what was available/possible/technical specs and the like. What I got was a really well-informed team who told me exactly what I needed to know. I learned a lot. Moran's has a huge range of suppliers - almost every price point is catered for and there are some incredible, unusual products therein. Wonderful customer service throughout, welcoming, efficient, informed, fun and friendly. Maybe I should do another renovation?!?

before anyone buys from this company i would strongly advise them not to.i had a door fitted last october it looks very nice however is a complete fire hazard it does not always open, we have been locked in our house several times. Mr windows service has been good up until now where they will no longer do anything regarding the door and it is still faulty.i have had an engineer around at least twice a month where they do not know what is wrong with it. it would seem i am not the only person this has happened to as a neighbour has also had the same problem, wether it is the door or poor workman ship i do not know but i do not want anyone else to go through what we have. we are now seeking legal advice

Our boiler broke down on Thursday. I contacted Aqua Shield on Wednesday and they sent an engineer who diagnosed the problem within minutes. The boiler needed a new gas valve! The valve needed to be ordered and it was going to be expensive. I did have to contact them on Friday to find out when they would be coming to fit the valve. Unfortunately the part had not arrived and they were still awaiting delivery which would mean the the installation would not take place until next week, possibly Monday. After explaining our circumstance and apologies from Aqua Shield things started moving forward. A few minutes later I had another call and I was told that they had sourced a valve and somebody from their company would collect the part and it would be installed this afternoon (Friday). The engineer called me about 30 minutes before he arrived. In less than half an hour after he arrived, and having taken our boiler to bits, we have heating again. The service from the Aqua Shield office was excellent and the engineer was also excellent. He kept me informed about what he was doing and his initial diagnosis was absolutely spot on. I strongly recommend this company for boiler service, installation and breakdown repairs, and will use them again, if needed. Thanks for this exceptional service.

Third time we’ve used this company now...first they fitted french windows then two upstairs windows ..now two of their fitters have completed some brick work and put in a large window into a converted garage What can I say ..all the work has been professionally fitted with professional fitters...They were all polite considerate and extremely helpful....We still need some work in the future and this will be the only company we will use...highly recommend

Phoned them on 24th March to be told end of week delivery but after pushing them they agreed to Wednesday 26th. eMailed on 26th but ignored. Phoned on 26th and told they had forgotten to despatch it so I cancelled the order and have been promised a full refund by Monday 31st March. Fingers crossed.

I fully understand you putting your staff safety first and not taking any orders at this present time. It would very helpful though I'd you could have some staff working from home and dealing with existing customers enquiries. I know these are troubled times for everybody including many businesses.

TBH we purchased a different bath from another supplier and it was pathetic, not room for 1 let alone 2 being double ended. We returned that bath feeling very misled and disappointed then brought the new bath from bathroom supastore. We did have to wait a few weeks for the bath because of the current virus situation and we were kept updated the whole time. We can 100% tell you it was well worth the wait. The bath we chose is fantastic and so deep it’s literally the best bath we have ever purchased. We are very happy with the service we received and the bath is amazing and as it had been a while since we ordered our bath we were offered a refund which we declined as we were happy to wait. I have written this review having now had our first experience using the bath. Thank you

We had the misfortune to have what amounted to a total failure of our solar powered hot water system, leading to a disastrous fracture of a high pressure hot water pipe late at night. Brendan and his team have worked assiduously for weeks to replace our whole hot water system and reconnect and commission a very complicated solar control unit, which had never been installed properly when the house was built 11 years ago. They stuck with it until it worked perfectly. What is so special about Heatwize (and I've been dealing with plumbers since I bought my first home 40 years ago) is: - they always turned up when they said they would - they returned e-mails within a few hours - they always answered the phone - they were invariably polite - they didn't spend the day swearing ( although there was much to swear about!) - they don't bring a large radio with them and play music all day - they were scrupulously clean and tidy - they spend days longer on this job than they had quoted for but didn't keep demanding more money - they were honest, straightforward and decent With the work completed, we have had no hesitation in signing up for one of their maintenance cover plans. I have no hesitation in recommending them - it was a pleasure to have them in our home.

We were a bit apprehensive at first, but after meeting up with Vikki in the Croydon showroom we were put at ease. Everything we were told worked out perfectly. I would go as far as to say we were treated better than using a local company which Up to now we have always done. We had plenty of questions all of which were answered and whatever we were told be it dates, build times, whatever they were all carried out when stated. This was important to us as we were going away on holiday and asked if the doors could be fitted before we went, so as not to leave an insecure property. We was assured that was fine, and as with everything else the fitters arrived within the 1 hour slot we were advised of. The doors were fitted to a very high standard by two very polite men. We were shown how to operate them, and later that day I was sent email instructions on how to care for them to get maximum enjoyment for hopefully many years to come. I would be more than happy to recommend the bi folding door company to friends and family. Thanks to everyone involved.

Had a birkdale door fitted a few months ago very happy with it. Today though my power tripped out, but the box is in the garage... No problem, use the wall mounted winding handle to open the door... No for some reason it would not turn...rang Birkdale who said they'd struggle to get a fitter to me today...i explained I had no power what so ever, and they were great, they contracted a local door guy to come out and sort it... He was very good too... managed to gain access without any damage to the door and restore power. Very impressed with the response from Birkdale and the chap they sent to help. Excellent!!! Second time in using Boyland for a new conservatory and once again, we are not disappointed. We have a lovely space that is perfect for our needs. This was a very difficult job as the team had to unpick some pretty poor workmanship before they could even start on the new build - but as ever they did it with a smile and having to overcome some pretty difficult obstacles. Excellent service from the Bude Branch, spoke to them on telephone as placed two orders in the end to link the two together. Some items were not in stock at the time of my order, but they got more stocks in to be able to accommodate my order. I went to order two samples and found the cost to be £12. I called and clarified that this cost would be offset upon placing an order. The order arrived, three slips mounted on a board and looks very professional. The discount code was added to the delivery docket however, when using it, the discount applied was only £5. No reply to telephone call, online chat was cleared due to no staff. When I finally got through on the online chat I was advised that I had been ill informed and that the £5 was all that could be deducted. I know I’m moaning over £7 but the new delivery cost is £37. Anyway, my review is a poor one based on experience.
