Been in the trade 15 years I was thought to always have a putty knife, utility knife and a rag on me at work at all times. That being said I have been through plenty of putty knives and this takes the cake. Shipping was on time price was good I’m very happy

OK so I need cut some slack for the current Coranvirus situation, but my 1st purchase from All Finished was not a great experience really. Not able to contact anyone on phones and email went unanswered...guess that's true for most companies at the moment. Ordered on website and got standard acknowledgement...suggesting 3 - 5 days. Delivery took 12 days ! Whilst the 5ltr paint tin seemed reasonably well wrapped in bubble wrap etc...the tin was battered beyond belief. I am amazed the paint didn't escape. No idea if it was sent like this or the delivery company played football with it. But all told...not a great experience, so I will probably go elsewhere for similar products next time.

I have had similar blinds professionally fitted on another house, so my experience is in comparison to that: *I purchased 9 blinds from Ezy-fit Roller shutters. They are electric with remote controls. *I paid a builder (and his laborer) to install them for me. This is a builder who has done a lot of previous work for me and whom I trust. *The blinds are not as simple to install as made out. Particularly difficult on corner windows. *Due to the thickness of the plastic piece at the bottom of the side rails, the blinds do not go to the very bottom and sit on the window sill, thus they let considerable light into the room. *They can make quite a loud 'crackling' noise when they go up & down as the slats pull-a-part from each other. This is particularly annoying late at night. *A couple of the blinds are not completely level when they are down, as the slats do not part completely on one side, at the top. *A couple of them have made really loud banging/cracking sounds when going up & down, eventually a dark brown coloured plastic "wedge" piece (approximately 3 x 3 cm with two small holes in it) fell out of the pelmet onto the ground. I do not know if they were suppose to be in there, or were they packing pieces that should have been taken out? *I find that the level of noise the motors make is quite different. This is despite being the same size blinds. *I've had to get up the ladder outside on one occasion and manually help the blind down whilst simultaneously using the remote. *The remotes are difficult to program when you have more than one blind connected to the remote. *The phone service was convoluted. If you could get put through to the man that actually knew what he was talking about, it was great. But it was wasn't easy to get hold of him. **On a positive.................... *I went with this firm because they were the only company that supplied the colours I wanted *They were considerably cheaper - financially **Suggestion: *They should provide a followup troubleshoot service for a small set fee - I really needed this.

Roller shutters fitted and working well, I opted for battery control unit and saved on electrician charges. I fitted two shutters with 25mm packing, once nutted out the process the second shuuter was a breeze. Shutters are working well.

Sorry of the lengthy review. There were too many issues to summarise. But if you are reading I would suggest not using this company at all before it is too late. 11th March – had quote from Graham Warr. Who was very professional and did a great job. We were initially only interested in a new front door but went for windows as well. 23rd March – we agreed to the quote and was told verbally 6-8 weeks for installation. I didn't grumble when we finally got a date of the 17th June (11-12 weeks) 16th June – (the day before installation) I received a call to say the front door was not ready and they cannot even give me an estimate when it will be. I suggested we cancel the order as I didn’t want to go ahead without all the work being completed. Because the windows were ready I could not cancel the whole contract, only the door. 18th June – After speaking with Stuart Timbers General Operations Manager. We reluctantly agreed for the windows to be installed as we ‘are in contract’ and would need to pay for the windows anyway. During installation I met the Area Manager Darren Leah who joked how busy they were and how much money the company had made that year (Over £2 million) as this was the excuse for the tardy after service. I asked about compensation due to the issues and he said he would need to review and only offer a gesture of goodwill once the work was completed. After installation we noticed a blemish in one of the windows which Fineline suggested to replace. 16th July – Finally the new door was installed but faulty window still needed to be along with the side window of the front door. During the next 6 months Fineline come out numerous times to replace the windows. Each time there was a different problem mostly highlighted by the fitters, not us. During all of the below visits, not once was Glass and Glazing Federation standards mentioned. Had they of been it would of saved many hours and stress for all involved. 1st visit was due because there was an air bubble in your fixed unit and the flag window was the wrong glass. VISTED 30/07 PM 2nd Visit was to replace a sealed in your bedroom and replace the flag window again due to damaged VISTED 23/09 AM 3rd visit was to replace the bedroom sealed unit and flag window again due to damages VISTED 05/11 PM 4th main bed unit was replaced – damaged VISTED 16/11 PM 5th visit main bed unit was replaced again VISTED 03/12 PM - Once they brought the wrong size window. - Only turning up with one window (not two that needed replacing) - Turning up at different times than specified. In the end I phoned the Area Manager Darren Leah and begged and pleaded with him to make sure that when the last window was replaced for someone to check it to make sure it was ok. 3rd December – the last window is installed and my wife highlights a scratch and finger print marks inside the glass. I immediately call Darren for him to come and see first hand. He says that he personally inspected the glass and there were no issues. Darren came to my house and came across very dismissive and rude and He also said that the blemishes do not need to be corrected if you cannot see at a 3 meter distance. This is industry standard and we should have been told.. again why this was mentioned 6 months previously is beyond me. Darren states rudely ‘that we haven’t even paid anything yet’. He had stated previously we wouldn’t need to pay until the work had been finished. I asked him at this stage about the compensation and he offered £100 gesture of goodwill. I felt given all of the above, this was insulting and unacceptable and asked him to leave my property. I then called and left a message for Stuart Timbers to call me back to discuss. 9th December – Nearly a week later and I had no call back from Stuart. He did however send me an email asking me to pay my invoice and £100 Gesture of Goodwill had been applied. If we didn’t pay then 4% interested would be applied. 14th December – I had a number of outstanding questions unanswered which I chased but was responded to that if I didn’t pay then ‘then we will have no choice but to apply the interest as per the terms of the contract and pass to our Group Legal Team for recovery of the full debt’ I paid the balance reluctantly to finally end the nightmare and Fineline agreed to install the original window again. I had copied in the MD Peter Wheeler in the last few emails as I read an article this year from him saying that customer care is their number one priority. I had no response from him directly and feel that their only priority is taking peoples money. Avoid this business at all costs!

We had two large front windows fitted to our bungalow a year ago by fine line and the service was great start to finish and the fitters Steve&marc were excellent.Last Month we ordered three more windows Chris the salesman was very professional and no unnecessary sales pitch.just had them fitted and steve& marc done another excellent job clean and tidy throughout we would certainly recommend them

If you are thinking of getting a log burner look no further I don't often give 5 stars ✨ but in this instance they deserve it, I can not recommend ignite highly enough Darren for his knowledge and customer service and Mark and Andy for there workmanship. I’m a licensed engineer, union carpenter, and have led multi-billion dollar commercial programs nationally and internationally for 35 years, so understand most technical and business aspects of building repair & maintain, from the high level all the way down to soil, rebar, roofing - the works. My recent experience with Fixd was Fantastic - on time, cleaned up after themselves, main plumber (who is licensed) was onsite to check/approve installation, high quality equipment installed, and no extra or "fake" fees as I've encountered with other warranty companies and their stable of weak contractors. They’re also a US company that is totally based in the US - headquartered in Dallas TX - so no overseas customer service with a language barrier. We’ve had them for less then a year and I can say now the only good thing about them is the app. Their technicians are not very good at their trades - everytime we have a problem it always requires a repeat visit because it isn’t fixed the first time. And when it isn’t fixed the first time you have to put it in like a new ticket, wait for them to schedule and then call multiple times to have them refund the $50 copay. Currently we have a problem with our air conditioning which is pretty important given current state and it wasn’t fixed with the first visit which took two days and now we have left three voicemails, sent two emails and tried chat with no response. Just a terrible company. I’d definitely recommend another one to save yourself the headaches and get a quality service.

I ordered underfloor heating and then found it was not required I contacted floor heatpro on a number of occasions to have the goods picked up for return finally after about 4 calls to them they got their courier to pick the goods for return up I then had to ring them on a number of occasions because they never credited my credit card even after they confirmed they had received the returns in good order and to this day I still have not had the money credited to my account and I have had to take action contacting my credit card company to withhold or get back any payment definatley do not deal with this company they are hard work

I’d have given them zero stars if I could. I ordered some flooring, they emailed me saying it had been dispatched and would be with me within 3 days, give me a tracking number and everything, turns out they just lied. A week later and they hadn’t even sent it, they was happy to take my money but not let me know what was happening with my delivery, I had to chase round for it cue the courier and themselves. Turns out they didn’t send it because it wasn’t in stock, well it shouldn’t have been on the website then. They offer me a replacement with another flooring, I find one I like and turns out they don’t have that either, and tell me I can wait until the end of the week for them to get it in. I’d already waited a week, I wasn’t willing to wait another week, The flooring was urgent, I needed it within the 3 days like I was promised. Not only that their attitude and customer service was dreadful, over email they just come across like they don’t care. Worst company I’ve ever dealt with. The question was, Could I tell you how to improve your services? Yeah, just give up trading, it’s really not for you! Best thing you did was give me a refund so I could go elsewhere.

Just purchased some Altria flooring, ordered 3 m off the website on receipt of the flooring it was only 1.5 m long. Why on earth would you sell a product in such a way ???? Buying means converting a your area into an area 1.5 wide why would anyone do that ? Why not just sell per linea meter , simple. Talking to a manager no resolution was offered no help. Thanks Daz it needs to be one piece so sending 3 m2 won’t help

I bought my bi-fold doors from Foldingdoors2u almost 10 years ago, and have had no issues. The doors have been very good. Recently, whilst having a new kitchen fitted a workman accidentally broke one of the glass units. So, I contacted FD2U and requested a replacement. Our construction didn't follow the original timeline but Janet assured us that there was no hurry, allowing us to contact them when we were ready without pressure or added stress. The installer was kind and professional. He went above and beyond, cutting the flooring so that the pattern appears properly, as it wasn't printed exactly right. I had no concerns about having him in my home without us. All in all, this was a wonderful experience. We will continue to use Gales Carpet One for our flooring needs.

Anthony upgraded my aging conventional boiler system to a combi system (Baxi). He came round, listened to the problems we had and what we wanted to achieve and he gave his honest recommendation, taking into consideration everything we spoke of. He wasn't pushy and knew his stuff, and came to the house a couple of times on my request. He's very knowledgeable with everything I asked him, and I do ask alot of questions! His work was excellent, VERY conscientious, clean and tidy and left the house in a presentable and livable way at the end of every day. He took away all the old parts of the boiler and cylinder and disconnected and made good all the unwanted pipes in the airing cupboard and loft. And the after service is excellent also! I had a minor issue )that I had caused I might add!) I called and he was there that afternoon to explain what I did wrong and the rectify. And just a few weeks ago, I receive a text from Ant to remind me the boiler needs servicing, no need for me to remember to chase him...making it easy to get the new boiler serviced. He also fitted a vanity unit and sink without any fuss also. For me, I would always call Anthony first for any plumbing, gas and heating issues or projects or new installations I might have. I placed an order on 12th July, expecting my order to arrive 2-7 working days from then, as I’m located in the Perth Metro area. I was advised on the 15th July that there was a delay with my order as an item wasn’t in stock. After not hearing back for 4 working days, I emailed to find out the status of my order and explained to Andrew Watson that I needed my order by 26th July. He replied to advise me that my order would be dispatched that day and I would receive notification. When I received notification the following day, the ETA said 1st August. Confused, considering I had explained to Andrew the importance of receiving my order by the 26th July, I queried it. I was told that yes, that ETA was correct and Australia Post takes 10 working days for delivery... When I voiced my concern to Andrew about how I expected that considering the delay and the fact that the website says if an order item is out of stock that it will be marked as ‘priority goods’ and dispatched ASAP, I was in disbelief to have received no response. No apology. No express postage.

Placed an order 3 weeks ago and expected it to be despatched within a few days. Instead I had to wait for them to deposit money into my credit card and then verify the amount. This process took close to a week. Item was then despatched but it still hasn't turned up. Never doing this again, should have gone to Bunnings.

The shower door was not centered-it was off by a 1/2 inch-so it did not line up with the end of the tile accent in the shower area. It seems very obvious when you look where the hinges were secured to the wall...the tile accent extends a 1/2 inch. When the installers came back to see the discrepancy they argued with the contractor about the placement of the door...the accent tile extends past the door a 1/2 inch; had the door been positioned exactly in the middle of the saddle then the door and tile would have lined up perfectly...will unfortunately have to live with it!

Spotted Jeff's van in the village, whilst he was completing another job. I asked for a card and a couple of days later, he came to quote for replacing some "steamed up" windows. His advice was clear and concise, his quote was very reasonable and with little hesitation, we asked him to proceed. A good decision. Not only that, but he had spent some time, to locate and modify a replacement, for a broken window handle, which we happened to mention. I have been using glue for around 12 months now and have had no issues at all. The convenience of having a smart lock has got me out of many sticky moments. I don't need to worry about getting spare keys cut for our cleaner or forgetting my keys at work and having to take the hour long journey back to the office!

We had a Grant boiler (VortexBlue Combi 26kW) installed half a year ago, thought I’d wait and see what it’s like before reviewing. It works very well, we are really happy. The water is heated up quickly. It’s relatively quiet and seems very efficient. We have also installed a Hive device which works with it perfectly. I would be glad to recommend Grant to friends & family.

Had brand new boiler fitted on 19th March,no heat or water FOUR hours later.Failed TWELVE times in the next three and half days .Engineer who fitted it came back twice but could not solve the problem this was followed by a visit by Grant technical support who changed a circuit board and assured us that it was now fine. EIGHT hours later no heat or hot water. Have been in touch with engineer who fitted the boiler and as it was clearly sold not fit for purpose have informed him that I want it removed. We are both in our mid seventies self isolating and with numerous health problems and are in the position of having no heat or water for the foreseeable future with all the implications thereto. The cost of over £3500.00 is irrelevant as I will not be paying . BE WARNED!!!!

My conservatory, that I use as an office, had an expensive reflective glass roof but the space was unusable in summer due to daily inside temperatures well over 30C. Typically, if it was 24C outside it was 35C+ inside. Greenspace replaced the roof. It was a completely painless process, by nice lads taking less than 1 day (and leaving no mess), despite difficult access. Since installation I’ve been tracking the in/out temperature difference at 3pm every day when the sun is full on the roof and typically there is little or no difference. Right now it’s 29C outside and 28C in. Evidently the Greenspace roof is providing 100% total insultation from solar radiation. Which is the best I could possibly have hoped to achieve. Other options such as a replacement tiled roof were more expensive or lined roof under the glass would have been too heavy and likely have caused heat issues in the roof. The Greenspace panels provide a perfect, immensely strong, good looking, completely effective, engineering solution. They may not be the cheapest option, but I consider them the right one, and therefore excellent value for money.

I bought over 20 replacement handle sets and locks for my 30-year-old house. Rob Matthews helped me find compatible locks from measurements I supplied, replying the same afternoon. I asked Abu (owner) at Handyfox for a quote to remove and replace a washing machine. The job, to a layman like me, would need the disassembly of the cupboard as the space in the bathroom was very narrow (I sent pictures with measurements). Then once the new washing machine and old dryer were replaced, the cupboard would be rebuilt and made good (plastering and painting). The quote given was "£750-950 depending on the amount of carpentry required". OK, so 2 people (washing machines are too heavy for one person and impossible to manoeuvre in the space available), 2 days, you can't paint wet plaster, the second day being a Sunday, this seemed a fair price. The engineer (Handyfoxs title for a multiskilled worker) arrived alone. He decided that he could remove the shower glass instead of the cupboard (no carpentry, a few screws and some silicone to replace it) he also used the tenants wife to help him move the machines (during Covid). In total he was there 7 hours (including lunch). The next day the machine is banging as it was not place correctly and there was a leak. I informed Handyfox and the the next week they sent Abu (an engineer) to fix all the problems, which took 6 hours. Then, I received the invoice, £930 + materials (8% charge is not settled on receipt)! 1 person, no carpentry, substandard work that cost the tenants a second Saturday, all technically completed in 6 hours. Surely this is a mistake, the top end was there if there was carpentry work, so I sent Abu an email. He replied that he would ask the relationship manager. Abu, the owner of the company, customer services and engineer, needs to check with 2nd person (Handyfox is not a Ltd company). Every day I continued to receive the same invoice from Squareup, a payment company. On Thursday Abu email say the relationship manager says 'no'. This is the invoice, it falls within the quote, please pay. Again I raise all of my points stated above. Again, 'no' pay now and we will waive the interest fee. At this point I have paid the invoice feeling I have no alternative and do not want Handyfox to pass this off to a credit company and affect my credit score. In my opinion Handyfox take advantage of the quoting system to manipulate clients in the highest fees. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY unless you want to be ripped off.

Great value and quality, the fitter of the blinds was abrupt upon payment as we didn’t have a card to pay with and time we had chance to say we will obviously pay cash, he was rude and said if you don’t pay I will take them down and go. Seriously this is not the way to speak to client who have just spent A lot of money investing in blinds. Some training in how to speak to customers would be a benefit to one of the older gentleman! Was going to look at doing our other property with blinds but I will seriously have to consider if we want to use this company again due to the rudeness of their blind fitter.
