I honestly didn't expect much when I ordered my custom katana from RoM but I was shockingly surprised when it arrived a few days ago. It looks amazing and feels really good in your hands as well. My dealings with Oso Grande got off to a rocky start as I was used to order shipments taking place 24 hours after being placed, however, after I realised that nowhere on their site do they state that as their policy things started to take a turn for the better...During this period of adjustment I did have some trouble with contacting customer service through the phone...! 1st attempt-Instant answer, 2nd and 3rd-Straight to the answering machine, 4th-Selected different option from customer service on phone menu and Instant answer...After calming down during my adjustment period I began using the E-Mail method of contacting customer service and received instant responses to all inquirey's after that!...Not only were they prompt in responding to my E-Mail messages, they were very courteious with their handling of the situation!...Remember, when dealing with an online entity to always check their site for shipping info, that way you can avoid becoming disappointed...Also, keep an open mind and a positive attitude, it helps when times aren't going exactly as you had planned!... Overall I would, and in fact already have, highly recommend this site to others! Once I was able to convey my concerns to their customer service agent they did their utmost to help me out and followed through until I received my shipment! The same day I put my order through @ Oso Grande I also put an order through another knife vendor and it only took 2 days longer for my order to be received from Oso Grande...Not bad considering the way I had worked myself up by not paying attention to their site and not noticing nor looking for shipping info! The quality of the knife purchased from Oso Grande was equal to the quality of the one purchased from the other vendor and price was also equal, however, because of their superb handling of customer service concerns, despite the slow start, they have instantly moved themselves to the top of my list of vendors for my next purchase! Respect earns respect and their respect for me has earned my respect for them both as individuals and a company as a whole! Great job ya'll and God Bless!

I ordered two knives on Friday and it shipped Tuesday. I received it Monday. I contacted customer service Wednesday to see if it had shipped. They responded that it had Tuesday so you might not be notified when your order ships. I am very happy with the knives. Both are CRKT one was the C/K Dragon, Wharncliffe Blade, Satin Finish, PlainEdge and the other was the Folts S.P.E.W Small Pocket Everyday Wharncliffe Fixed Blade. I love the detail of the S.P.E.W, the handle is very nice and the blade is great! The only problem is it is almost to small for me being 6'2" I have big hands but the handle feels good with great traction for how small it is. The Dragon is almost the perfect size, the handle fits like a glove even with how thin it is and the finger space between the sub-hilt and the hilt is just big enough and the texture nice and simple looks good and does not slip. The handle does allow the use of the stabber grip blade forward or reversed, in reversed my fingers sit nicely on the sub-hilt and my thumb rests on a grip panel against the tang. The only fault I see is the blade could be a bit shorter, at 4 1/2" it might not be legal in some jurisdictions and the pommel has about 3/8's more metal than necessary. I am planing on ordering another Dragon very soon.

I placed an order on 10/19 and received confirmation on 10/22 that the order had been accepted. It was a gift and when I had heard nothing by 11/10 I checked the status which indicated it had not yet been shipped. I contacted the seller and the next day received a call telling me they had lost track of my order and had now contacted the manufacturer and would be unable to fill the order since it was no longer being produced. I will not use this vendor again.

On December 20th, I ordered several knives from this company. Total amount $131.00 with shipping. As of this writing I still haven\'t received my order. I have left several voice mails on their order line as they don\'t answer their phones. All you can do is leave a message. I have left a message to the owner Jason Saakes and no response from him either. I sent several emails in regards to this problem and they have never been answered. My bank account was debited for the money on 12/21/2010. I would like my knives or a refund.

I placed an online order for 9 knives on 09-20-09. Nearly all of these items were being sold at very reasonable prices due to a closeout sale, I think. I received an order confirmation by email but it didn't even list what was in my order, or the prices! I fortunately always print out an order summary when I order something. --- I received (part of) my order about 1-1/2 weeks later. The packing slip said: "Back ordered items not listed". I was never informed part of my order was back ordered, plus I was already charged for the whole order on my VISA. If I hadn't saved the order summary printout I made, I wouldn't even know what was back ordered! They didn't even tell me. --- I waited a few days then tried to check my order status online - not possible, no order tracking online. You actually have to contact customer service for this info! I sent an email and was told they would contact purchasing and find out when the backorder was due. 5 days and no word, so I write again. They tell me the knives will ship next week, and they'll upgrade shipping to 2 day. I received my order 9 days later, BUT THEY SHIPPED THE WRONG VERSION OF THE KNIVES. I'm going out of my mind with frustration by now. I requested an RMA and they also agreed to pay for my return shipping. Shipped items 10-22, received at Smoky Mountain 10-27, received refund including my shipping costs 11-08. --- It's really unlikely I'll order again because of the lack of an itemized order notification, no online order tracking, being charged for back-ordered items with no notification, then sending the wrong item. This is how internet commerce was run 10 years ago. These guys need to automate their systems and raise the bar on how they do business. However, I will give a big compliment to their customer service folks in that they were always very friendly and apologetic for the numerous problems I encountered.

I WILL NEVER WORK WITH THIS COMPANY AGAIN...they never responded to any of my e-mails and i send a couple, they shipping took longer than expected, and when i received my knife it didnt even stay closed its a switch blade n it doesnt stay closed...when i first opened the package the knife was trying to open in the box...it doesnt stay closed at all so now i have to fix the knife deffinatly not worth the effort to order from this company...there prices are average to youd be better off paying the extra 1-2 bucks from a different place anyways because if u order here youll get a broken non useful item shipped late and have no contact with the seller...so go somewhere else

I ordered the "Bayonet Knife with Sheath - AK 47." The knife was of O.K. quality (the sheath was not). However, it is in no way an AK bayonet. It's really not even similar to a real AK-47 bayonet. It looks more like an M-1 Cabine bayonet, but will fit no known rifle. So, if you want an O.K. knife with an el cheapo sheath that looks sorta like an M-1 Carbine bayonet (but can not be used as one), go for it. If you're actually looking for a bayonet, look elsewhere.

I've bought from this site, as well as returned items to them. All transactions went well. Dishes were packed well. If you're looking for something specific that they don't have in stock, you can sign up for an email alert if it does become available. Website is pretty easy to navigate, although I will they had pictures of everything. I wouldn't hesitate to buy from them again.

In January of this year I bought some replacement dinner and salad plates and coffee mugs in the Orleans pattern. I was happy to find that the Orleans pattern was still in stock because I knew it had been discontinued for a while. What I got, however, was far from the original dishes that I still had. For example: 1 - Replacements were very heavy - even heavier than my originals. 2 - Plates chip very easily -- I already have 2 dinner plates with gouges on them. 3 - Dinner plates do not stand up straight in dish washer as the old ones did. They hang over and make it difficult to put in additional plates. Apparently the current mold being used is different from the previous mold, thus causing the extra weight and shape difference. I believe one of the reasons why this product has turned out to be so inferior is because they are now being manufactured in China. They were originally manufactured in Thailand. If replacement dishes ( or even new styles) are going to be produced in China from now on, I will never buy from this company again. Many of my friends and club members were considering the Pfaltzgraff line but now have had second thoughts about purchasing your products.

Placed an order on 11-24-2012 and as of today 1-4-12 have not received order. Have been told that order is back ordered. So canceled it and was given a run-a-round with customer service. Have not been issued a credit yet. Items I have gotten there before seem to scratch very easily. given my experience with this company, I doubt I'll purchase from them again.

This company's only flaw (and it's minor) is that it's sometimes a little slow to ship the item out. I had to send them two emails, one phone call and register a complaint with PayPal. Finally, I received an email receipt with a tracking number, but it has not been sent. If you call customer service, it immediately goes to voicemail.

Having dealt with many vendors over the years, including Luxottica, Vera Bradley, 4Ocean, Aldomartins, Victorinox, Ugg, and many more smaller companies, I can confidently say that I have never seen a company that does a worse job of shipping their merchandise than Lenox. This is not a review for a specific experience, but an altogether summation of their practices over several years. Under no circumstance can we trust that a shipment will arrive with all items intact. Glass items often arrive shattered. Cushioning and void fill are routinely underutilized, often only protecting one single side of the entire box, with air cushioning usually tossed in uninflated. Packing lists are missing on a regular basis: it cannot be determined whether packers neglected to include it in the first place or whether it has been lost in transit, because boxes sometimes arrive unsealed. Any competent shipper knows that without proper void fill, the movement of objects inside can easily lead to a box opening during transit before it reaches its destination, to say nothing of likely breakage of fragile merchandise. I have plenty of photographic evidence. Lenox's B2B website fortunately makes it easy to report breakage, and replacements are usually shipped with the attention that should be given to other orders, but this would obviously not be necessary if shippers were trained to do their job with even a minimum of care. Given that this has been the case for years (and I cannot believe that our experiences are unique) it seems to be the case that upper management does not give a whit. There is clearly no proactive approach to auditing their processes. Many people are clearly asleep at the wheel. The entirety of shipping management should be liquidated and restaffed, with the shipping crew completely retrained from the bottom up. We do not expect any forward progress in this area.

An order for personalized Christmas ornaments was placed on Dec. 11th after checking the website thoroughly for a deadline date (none listed). Paid for expedited shipping to guarantee Christmas delivery. When I called them today to check on the items, they advised that their website CLEARLY indicated that a deadline of Dec. 8th was posted on their website for personalized items. Since I generally examine website thoroughly before placing an order, I was skeptical that I had missed such important information. Guess what, checked again today and there is NOTHING about deadlines. So, all of my Christmas ornaments will be delivered whenever the company gets around to it. Happy Holidays from Lenox!

This place is by far the best and only place I do my knife shopping. If Dave doesn’t have it, you won’t need it because his care in service and knowledge of knives will have you aware of even a better knife. Your hunting for the right knife stops here. I’ve searched through tones of websites to only be disappointed of finding out of stock items, or not the right color, too short of a blade, too small of a knife, not serrated, and too over priced, only to find the same stale leftovers that nobody really wants. Ordered four corkscrews as gifts on 12/19/2011. Was told by Winestuff customer service that they would arrive well before Xmas. Never arrived. Called on 12/28/2011 to get status. Informed that they never had the items, thus the order was never processed. Customer service indicated that since they never billed me, everything was fine. They missed the minor point that they didn't even contact me and their horrible service resulted in gifts never being given. Horrible company!! Never use this company. Go to Wine Enthusiasts for quality products and service!!

I ordered 4 Riedel glasses and 6 Spiegelau port glasses from Winestuff online. Then I called them to see if I could get the port glasses by a certain date - I really needed them. They said probably not. I asked to cancel the order. They said I couldn't do that, it was against their policy. Then I got an email that the order had shipped and was complete. When I got it, there were no port glasses. So I called them and they said, "Oh, we can't get them, so we cancelled that part of the order." I asked why they hadn't informed me, and they said they just hadn't gotten around to it. This is the worst mail order service I have experienced ever. And I do a lot of mail order.

The rudest customer service I’ve ever experienced. And from the owner no less. I called the store to ask a few questions about a Japanese knife I was interested in buying. I said to the woman who answered that I’d like to speak to someone who knows a lot about that particular knife since I have quite a few questions. She barked, “What’s your question?” I repeated that I have a few questions that I’d like to ask someone who knows the knife well. She asked snarkily, “What makes you think I don’t know a lot about this knife?” I explained that I don’t presume to know whether she knows much about the knife, and if she does, then I’m fine talking to her. She smirked and said she was offended. Then she told me she’s the store owner and that what I said was very rude. She has a real chip on her shoulder. I feel sorry for the people who have to work with her - a snowflake who looks for offense and finds it everywhere. I ended up buying the knife for much cheaper from a very respected Canadian store - Knifewear. The Knifewear people I spoke to were wonderful. They answered all my questions and were extremely friendly and professional, unlike Bernal Cutlery.

When they came one was the smaller jar, so I checked the website again and yes the wrong dimensions we’re advertised, I brought this to there attention and they admitted they had written the wrong sizes on their website. This is classed as false advertising. I have now had to search with great difficulty to find the same jar in a larger size . Thought the company would have suggested that I keep the small jar due to inconvenience caused but no , they sent a label for me to return it via the post office .. another job to do. not a happy Bunny!

I placed an online order on December 14th at 11am. Your site was advertising "still time 'til Christmas" and this was the reason I bought it from you and didn't go to the store! Because I didn't receive an email with a shipping tracking number, I called the costumer line and a lady told me that it was still in process! this was four days later. On December 20th I received an email saying that the item was shipped. I was really happy until I saw the Delivery date: January 3rd! This was a Christmas gift for my husband. I'm upset because you had a false advertisement and I needed to go rushing to the store to get something last minute. Last email I sent to costumer service, they wrote me back with a link to track the package! Worse shopping experience ever!

I found the Opinel-usa experience to be great aside from one thing. The prices and turn around time on orders is excellent. However, the website layout and interface could use an update. Opinel makes wonderfully simple, well-built knives and it would be great if the Opinel-usa website reflected this craft and simplicity. As it stands, the website is clunky and cluttered.

This site WILL SCAM YOU. Avoid purchasing from this retailer at all costs! Where to begin... First, my order took over month to arrive. When I opened to the package, I noticed that a lot of the ceramic pieces had shattered during transit. Not only that, but certain items were just left out (e.g. sending only 1 quantity of multiple items). The worst offense was a bait-and-switch on items in a complete tea set. They sent a completely different tea tray with drain than the photo online, and it didn't match the set at all. When I contacted the merchant, they told me to ship the package back at my cost (well over $100 USD for service back to China) and refused to provide any other resolutions. Avoid this scam site at all costs, not only are their products low quality, they are disingenuous and will not offer any customer service on the items that you order, even if it's entirely their fault.

With the customization, I would have liked the option for black or white. The previous 2 knives came in black (my preference). I recently dropped and damaged a brand new chefs knife I purchased while in Japan a few months ago. The tip of the knife chipped and bent. Jonathan (Local Root) did an AMAZING job restoring the knife back to brand new! The knife was also sharped back to perfection Highly recommend Local Root for knife sharpening. Miriam's Earthen Cookware is a company I have been investigating personally and testing for the past two years. I have to say, not only have I been blown away with every test and evaluation but so has my wife and everyone else that has eaten the food or seen the product. In fact, I love them so much I went and became a fanboy and started a YouTube channel called Cooking With Clay that I now need to populate with content. I would be happy to speak with anybody with questions or concerns and share my experience. MEC has permission to put me on a three way call or email etc because I truly want others to experience the benefits and joy of this type of cooking. I am unaffiliated, unpaid, all that stuff. I pay for my clay and I don't receive any financial compensation ever. I'm doing it because they're a great small business with a great product and I support it. About the clay: I have a X Large pot, Medium Pot, and Large Pan. I recently went on a month long road trip with JUST a medium pot and it was a trooper. We've been using it so much it has become hyper efficient at cooking. It is a whole new style of cooking to adapt to, but it is such a joy to master and the process is fun. You've never seen greens cook and still come out as green as they do in a clay pot! Far infrared heat is amazing. Wooden spoon, clay pot, warm flame... ahhhh the bare necessities and the best foods. -Thanks so much for providing something so hard to find and such a high quality product , Much love from Texas - Carmelo I would urge anyone looking for the ultimate in cookware or just some cookware with natural mojo and flair to look into the health benefits of cooking this way. Take a year or two of slowly adapting to these so your learning curve doesn't get the best of you. Two years later we are doing 95%+ of our cooking in MEC. A little background... my wife and I consume whole food plant based diet and are unable to eat in restaurants. We do all of our meals at home and pretty much all of that in MEC. It pulls toxins out of non organics and is gentler on the nutrients in the organics. It is really great for flavor, and it keeps everything you need in the food as intact as possible. The membrane breaths and there is more wonder in a clay pot than I can possibly type out here.

I bought two "seconds" pots. Because of that, they were not made perfectly, but they functionally work great and I use one for making yoghurt and the other one ALL the time for perfect rice, soups, and many other dishes. Food cooked in clay tastes worlds better than cooked in metal to me. One pot came in broken from transit and MEC was super easy to work with about replacing it for free. The only negative is the knob of one of the pots snapped off when I was washing it a month ago. I don't think it was made as well being a second and maybe I was holding it too tightly. Lucky for me I'd saved the lid off the broken pot, so I have a backup. :) I suggest you be very careful with your knobs if you get seconds. Over all, the pots are absolutely wonderful. I was looking for high quality non-toxic cookware and these fit the bill. They are very easy to clean and I've not had much issue with food sticking. Make sure you season them properly before using. A lady who used clay all her life also advised me to soak or at least run the pot full of water before each use to prevent it from cracking. I plug my sink and fill it with an inch or so of water and then fill the pot and turn the lid upside down and let the whole think soak a few minutes while I gather ingredients. I don't know if that has helped, but both pots are holding up nicely. They look beautiful sitting in my kitchen to boot! I look forward to getting more MEC pots in the future.

I received the knife and it was warped, I contact their customer service by email as they suggest, and sent photos as they requested and they said they'd be sending a replacement, it has been 5 weeks and they keep giving me the run-around. Curiously it took them less than a week to ship the knife out but now "Naid" keeps writing that he'll "forward my issue to their fulfillment center" to get a "resolution", even after I told him I am not interested anymore and since they wont ship out a replacement I wanted a refund. I mean, what's there to "resolve"? just refund my order and call it a day, and speaking of calling, good luck with that, their entire customer service call-in center is made up of an answering machine stating they cannot take any calls because they're too busy with the holiday season (it has been a month and a half since the holiday season ended). Feels like their whole operation is a scam so I'm contacting the credit card company to hopefully get my money back. Update: I contacted my credit card company last week and got my money back- Apparently Chase agrees! And has flagged them

I’ve always loved Riedel. I remember once bringing home the remainder of a bottle of wine we didn’t finish at a restaurant, pouring into our Riedel glasses & saying “Wow! This is SO much better. Wish they would’ve used Riedel at the restaurant”, which by the way was an excellent restaurant. They just chose to cut one wrong corner. And ordering online was so easy, and we got our glasses in record time.

I've now completed 2 orders from SiliSlick and I'm continued to be blown away by their customer service, quality of product, and the performance of their knives. I highly recommend their products. I ordered a 5pc full tang stainless steel knife set first. Sadly one knife had the tip broken off during shipping. I contacted SiliSlick and was sent a replacement knife, no questions asked. On my 2nd order, the guys at SiliSlick included a magnetic knife holder and wrote a personalized message on my invoice explaining why and thanking me for my business. Top notch customer service, and great knives at a very affordable price.

I tried to order a few months ago and found it complicated as order was small Ordered at Harrods in March and told it would take many weeks to arrive. I was phoned by Harrods about 2 weeks ago to be told Riedal would only supply 4 boxes so order was cancelled. Why is it so difficult to get from Austria, Then ordered on line but order was delivered to 9 Coney Acre and not to my address which was clearly on label.
