Bad experience - ordered two, 2GB chips for iMac 5.1. They delivered promptly. One of the chips would not boot up in either of my machines. The other would allow the computers to boot up but then I had disc corruption, ended up having to do a full reinstall/restore. I reinstalled the original memory from both machines and had no problem after that. I sent both chips back but was refused a refund. Ramjet said I had damaged the chips by using tools to remove them. When I asked how you do actually remove a defective chip from your iMac the manager told me that he uses needle nose pliers. Basically folks, you are never in a good position if you have to remove the chips and return an order because Ramjet is going to assume the chips were perfect when you got them and that you damaged them - causing the problem. I lost $70.00.

It's been years since I upgraded my 1.1 Mac Pro. Your website helped me quickly find exactly what I wanted. I got a call saying the hard drive I ordered was not in stock, but got a substitution that seems to be fine and got it all in a couple of days. The experience was perfect.

We were cautious buying a used MacBook after a bad experience with another retailer but we took the plunge and purchased one through Mac Ansys Ltd. I can honestly say they have been brilliant. Long story short. I have four 8gb sticks of transintl ram (SUPPOSEDLY they cater to the film industry) and it always came up as 1066Mhz. So I recently upgraded my 2012 macpro from 2.46Ghz to 3.46Ghz and was obviously expecting the ram speed to go to 1333Mhz (and yes I reset the PRAM) After much research, I took them out and tested each one at a time and even though ALL of them are transintl. com 8GB PC10600 DDR3 1333MHZ ECC, only two of them would show 1333Mhz. So I called transintl (a brick and mortar macs that state matchless service and support) and they told me to ship it to the to test. So after a whole week, the call me and transintl. com COMPLETELY dropped the ball on me. What a waste of shipping priority mail and waiting a week even though I was told a few days. I sent the 4 sticks USPS priority mail last Thursday, they got it on Sat and said they'll run stress and other tests. And was told by their tech/warranty dept. that they would take care of me (not sure what that means, I was under the impression that would be some of compensation or adjustment or something) and have it back by Monday or Tuesday. I get a call on Wednesday saying that all 4 sticks ran perfectly at 1333Mhz, but they didn't use a mac (they only had a PC and it was sent out to someone else). And I asked well can you at least swap out the ones that I marked, that on my mac only show up as 1066Mhz and they said no, so they shipped it back and I got it last night (January Thursday 28th) and put the ones that I marked, that only show up as 1066Mhz, and low and behold it’s the same issue. I am very disappointed in this company and of course will never use them again. Finally re-bought all of my ram from OWC (which I called and mentioned my situation, and they told me that they would have just swapped out the RAM). Expensive lesson learned, just because some random company slaps a sticker on ram with lifetime warranty, doesn’t mean you’ll get true lifetime warranty service like you would from a more reputable company such as OWC.

I was trying to purchase an extra 2GB RAM for my Mac Pro but at the last page of trying to order online, I was met with the site's database being down. I e-mailed them letting them know I was trying to purchase a product from them. My e-mail signature has my phone number in it and they called me to let me know they were right on it and I can make the purchase over the phone instead. The gentleman on the phone was very courteous and knowledgeable; it was done very fast, very painless. The product was shipped that very day. It came in at the expected date and works. I would recommend transintl to anybody looking for a very reliable alternative to Apple's expensive RAM upgrades along with knowledgeable and fast customer service.

I just purchased a System76 Gazelle with an Intel SSD, 8GB RAM and i7 processor. Performance wise the machine rocks. Overall here is my opinion: 1) I got the high end matte display and while it is sharp and not bad at all, it is a bit dim even at the brightest level and the colors are a bit on the grey side. Sitting beside my Macbook Pro Retina there just is no comparison. 2) The keyboard is comfortable to type on but the comments about it being a bit hot to type on are not off base at all. Especially the left side, but honestly the entire thing is warmer than my Macbook. Even sitting here typing this and doing nothing else it is really warm. 3) I still don't get why companies don't get serious about designing a serious piece of hardware to compete with Apple. All linux and Windows computers are just cheap plastic paper weights and just not in the same class as a Macbook. The build quality of this computer is actually worse than most other systems I've had. If you pick it up by a corner you can actually feel the entire thing flex. It reminds me of the old systems that Dell use to make 10 years ago and that is just sad to see in something with such awesome specs. 4) Why can't someone create a power supply for a notebook that isn't as large as a brick? This thing uses the old brick style power supplies with the large thick power chord. Compared to what Apple builds its just out dated and ugly. When I pull out my Macbook Pro I'm proud to hold it and its firm and professional at every level. When I pull this system out I'm actually a bit embarrassed. If I didn't really want to use Linux and not be locked into Apple and its crazy ways, I'd probably just return it. In closing, its nice to see a company dedicating their processes to Linux. I just wish they actually had engineers that knew how to design a case that we could be proud to pull out of our bag instead of the cheap Chinese junk we're so accustomed to.

Bought a Pangolin Performance in February, 2010. Still works very well. I've had two support issues and both were handled very well. With the last one, I installed Windows and didn't have the driver for the web cam. System76 is an Ubuntu-only shop, but Mark (in customer service) still found the driver and emailed it to me when I was only looking for the manufacturer / model so I could go find it myself. Based on my experience, I would definitely purchase from them again.

I made my purchase with Gopher Mods on January 8, 2010 to repair my ps3. The experience with them was the WORSE I've ever had with any company of any sort. Their website promises fast delivery time, which wasnt the case at all. I just got my ps3 back today, which is January 29th, 2010. Three weeks later! They promise a 24 hour turn around time. After sending Casey several emails regarding where my order was, his response was, and I quote "Hi Joe, It was sitting on the shelf and no one actually knew that it was supposed to be shipped out until I inquired why it has been boxed up and shipped."..... you kidding me? This was of course after I found out that they could not repair my ps3 due to it falling in the class of unrepairable. Ok thats fine, but as their one email stated to me "Additionally, if you had a game that was stuck inside the console it will be taken out for you and place in a CD case.".... of course they did not do this either. I had Modern Warfare 2 stuck inside the console, which I made cystal clear to them that I needed it removed. So of course I get the broken ps3 sent back to me after three weeks of waiting for it, and the game is still stuck inside. So now I have to find a place that can remove the game without damaging it, which is going to cost me even more time and $$$. I highly recommend avoiding this company. Terrible customer service, terrible return time, terrible overall experience.

I sent my 60GB PS3 into these guys earlier this year. It ran fine but was loud. I received it later than advertised, and it died in 5 minutes. Later emails were ignored. It was a waste of money and I feel terrible about it. Edit: GopherMods contacted me back only after this negative review. The free repair offered was including something already done by them to the unit, that obviously would not have fixed the issue. GopherMods was asked previous to repair as to whether unit would be acceptable, and I was told they are very willing to accept units that have been opened and are without warranty seal. That said, the unit worked for hours before sending it to them, and I'd like to stress that it was dead within 5 minutes use after their repair. The graphics chip burned itself up. That said, if they ignore your emails regarding a refund, leave a negative review online. Reviews are very important to GopherMods, and a refund was issued to me as an obvious attempt to save face only after this review had been posted.

I regret that I can give one star - its absolutely horrible service. It started really nicely and I was reassured that the company has 5 star rating in google and is a well respected family business. My computer was not repaired, it was also messed up, my passwords, the cloud, apple id - was out of access although I put the correct passwords in. On the second computer the login password was messed up and I could not log in using my usual password or my apple id - which was incorrect after they repair it. It took me almost a day and 2 other people to repair what those guys had "repaired". The worst is an attitutde - completelt unfriendly, rude and snobbish - ignoring my concerns and telling me that this was not their problem. DO NOTgo there, do not waste your time and money (which they refused to return). Never have had worse service. The worst that those people are actually using the pandemic and Appple closure to take an advantage of people who need to work, who need their computers to let their children study from home - and they do not have choice as to go there and take chances. Shame ….

Item was as expected, but it took them 7 days to ship and 7 days for me to receive. Selected free ground option. I should got it in half that time or sooner. With this Mac, the power supply was not completely dead so the two week wait was bearable...fortunately. I will be more cautious next time.

Very nice stickers, reusable with a tag to remove. Fitting over original Apple logos, thus giving a unique look. So far, so good. I am happy with the two ive bought. They could, if you would want to nitpick: a. be a bit "flatter", or thinner and b. in the process of deciding which sticker to buy it would be a huge help if one could choose the size of the sticker by device rather than size.

I like very much the high quality of the sticker and the effect it generates. I do think though that the little tongue in the lower left corner is a bit ugly. I understand that it helps removing the sticker, but I don't need to change the sticker so often. I would prefer making it more difficult to remove than have the tongue always on. I have even thought of cutting it altogether. Another drawback of the tongue is that it makes it easier for the sticker to peel off. That's what happened to me. It peeled off two days(!) after I placed it and it gathered dust and now the edge of the sticker is on the air. Not good at all. Thank you.

I bought a mid-2010 iMac i7 from Usedmac.com about three weeks ago. Before I ordered it, I emailed Sales and asked what kind of condition the iMac was in. I was told "they are in Grade A condition and may have few very minor scratches on the back only". For the most part, that was true. There were no scratches on the back and just a couple of tiny pings on the stand. I was VERY happy with the cosmetic condition of the iMac. OPERATIONALLY though, that was a different story. When I received the iMac, there was a tiny line of magenta pixels on the left side of the display from top to bottom. It went away after a few minutes which was a relief. Within a day or two though, I started seeing a lot of magenta and green 2mm pixels bouncing around on the screen occasionally, seeming to blink along with HDD activity. I reported this via their website twice and received no response. Because I needed a quick fix, I called Apple and they told me to take it to the local store. Upon running diagnostics, (which I watched them run) the 1tb hard drive was failing and the video card had to be replaced. That repair will cost me $411 and will take about a week, but at least I don't have to pay $60 to ship it to California (a week from Georgia), wait for them to repair it, and then wait another week for it to get back to me and still maybe have a problem elsewhere with it. Now, I know I could have called these guys and asked them to honor their warranty, but I'd rather have the iMac repaired directly by Apple. Also, I didn't want the hassle of arguing with them (not that I expected it) and then wasting time and money to ship it back. Point is - they should have ran diagnostics before shipping the iMac. I only paid $795 for it and cosmetically, it was definitely Grade A condition. I suppose it could have been worse, like a logic board failure or a unit that Apple wouldn't repair. Just be careful when you buy and be sure to run diagnostics as soon as the unit arrives, especially if you don't buy an additional warranty.

I made my order, they processed it immediately, and the shipping took only 8 working days. My old 30" Cinema display (LG-Philips LM300W01-STA4) had a bad yellowish tint over all parts of the screen. I replaced it with the one from used mac.com and it works like new again! This purchase was an excellent experience! I would do it again! Totally recommended! H. Post

Battery replacement for iPod Touch I took my son's iPod Touch into Fixmybrokenmac and they booked it in within a couple of minutes. There was a slight delay in the repair, but this was due to cracking the screen during the repair process and they had to order in a replacement screen. This was done at no extra cost and was explained fully when I collected. I would certainly recommend for any Mac/iOS repairs

Was told to bring in a Macbook Air to change from US keyboard to DK keyboard by two separate Humac service agents via email chat. After Apple had recommended I contacted Humac. Got an offer from Humac for changing the keyboard, which got withdrawn few minutes after it was sent, as it was claimed to be an error. The recommendation was to buy a keyboard cover. I was charged for a service fee when picking up the machine without any service being performed on the machine. The service fee was not mentioned by two support agents or the store sales assistance. I signed the paper were that was stated and should have asked, so partly my fault. However not satisfied with the experience which could have been handled differently.

I booked my Iphone for a repair service with KRCS Nottingham. I got an e-mail informing me they won't actually be able to see me and all it will be is a drop off service appointment. Their centre is out of town so I got an uber which left me in the wrong side of the industrial park they're located in. I tried calling their number to let them know I'd be late and ask for more directions but noone picked up. As a result I was 10-15 minutes late for the 'drop off' to only be told I'd have to rebook. Rebook a drop off ? Like literally all they had to do is to take my phone - which they refused. Absolutely appalling service and no consideration or compassion whatsoever for their customers. I will never use them again for anything, massive disappointment. I'd rather go to Leicester to the official Apple Store, they understand what customer service is there.

The MacBook Pro (15-inch, 2017), 3.1GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i7, 16GB 2133 MHz LPDDR3, Intel HD Graphics 630 1536MB, I purchased looks like new and works fine. It lasted for 4 hours with continuous YouTube watching on battery. I am yet to test the computing speed but I hope it will be impressive.

This is a review of a 2017 4K 21.5 inch iMac with Core i7 3.6GHz/16GB/512 SSD. I was very impressed by the quick delivery considering current circumstances. The iMac arrived three days after placing my order, neatly packed in its original box; the only telltale sign that this iMac was a refurb was the packing tape used to securely seal it (which peeled off easily). The iMac came preloaded with Catalina and so far everything I’ve opened, including simultaneous Logic Pro X, Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator sessions, has run quicker than on any other Apple product I’ve ever owned. I am only a couple of weeks into using the iMac but I’m extremely pleased with it so far. The six month warranty is an added comfort and at half the cost of the same spec iMac from Apple, I thoroughly recommend considering MacTwo before buying your next Apple product.

I am an an entry level 'Fixer" I had an old MacBook Pro mid 2012 that I recently replaced with a modern MacBook(2019). the wife wanted to make use of the old one as it was still a functional machine just devastatingly slow, so with the help of MacUpgrades and simple instructions I managed to install and upgrade the RAM from 4-8gb and installed a 128gb SSD replacing the HDD. what a difference it preforms so well! I was recently given a mid 2012 Mac mini which I will absolutely be upgrading once its financially viable. its for my daughter's school work as her iPad mini 2 is starting to fall by the wayside. thank you to your team at Macworld for allowing a 'fool' like myself the chance to make a big difference in my home.

Got a chance at 'Mac voor minder' to buy a refurbished MacBook Pro with top specs, one year apple care and new screen, battery and topcase for a fair price. Very nice: I dropped by to pick up the Mac and got the keyboard changed to my own language which makes this computer into the one I could wish for. I have a receipt for everything and it works perfectly. Very trustable it seems.

Turned in my computer this last Friday, the people there were so knowledgable and called me throughout the day to update me on what was going on and telling me what had caused the problem. Got notified when to pick at up and when I did I was told they had fixed the problem and updated my computer. I’ve turned the same computer in before at another place where I myself had to call them and ask when to pick it back up, so MR Islington was such a good choice this time! Genuinely such a nice team and I would highly recommend going there!

Excellent service I manage to book a same day appointment and got a replacement phone the same day within an hr. The staff were very polite and even offer a cup of tea which was very nice as I was waiting for the phone. The office is also very nice and clean. I was really happy with the service and extremely surprise that could get Apple support within my local area instead of my travelling to oxford street. This saved me time and travel cost.

I recently bought (May 2020) a late 2008 Macbook Pro from Babz via eBay and both the Mac and the service from him were absolutely great. He rang me straight after my purchase to confirm I was happy, knew what I had bought and told me when to expect delivery. The macbook pro was excellent value for £220 and as good as you could expect for a secondhand machine. Babz was polite, courteous, well informed and knowledgeable. As a seasoned Mac user I knew this guy knows what he's talking about and wish all small businesses were as efficient and effective as Babz. Buy from him with confidence because I know I will be going back to him again in the future. Highly recommended.....Thanks

I have purchased two five year plans for Support and Security. The initial purchase was on March 6, 2020 when I called in due to issues with my computer. I thought the problems were fixed but I had to call in a second time on March 10th due to some of the same problems: computer shutting down, display driver not starting, etc. As of March 13, I am still having problems with the computer shutting down and going into sleep mode or freezing up. This weekend I will probably call back again.

Tried this in 2014 as my PC was running more slowly and hoped it would help - basically did nothing despite several tries - just recycled same issues - I removed it and forgot about it until they auto-billed a few months ago - said "you can cancel but does not mean you get any refund" This sucks and IMO is a ripoff as any decent business in US will refund $ if you don't use their product, I didn't use it did not want it but no response from emails...do not buy here

I had a great experience with this program: it gives the user only what he needs: a tool to scan the drivers he needs to update and a fast way to access to said drivers. It's intuitive, it doesn't need any extra features or clickable items to work, because one can authomatically assume how it works and just make it work. A fine program that offers what the user needs and is also very clear.

I am glad that I chose ramjet to purchase ram for my pc. I got the best ram at a very affordable price. I thoroughly tested it and it proved to be the best at what it does. It may have been delivered in qute a long tome but what I got is what I needed. Cant complain because of a simple thing like that.

I was always very happy with Ramjet memory, however, the upgraded Mac Pro desktop I bought from Ramjet for $3200.00 in November of 2015 was okay for a while, but then progressively started having problems. They sent me a new video card, which seemed to help, but for a while it got even worse than before. Initially there were only problems while in bootcamp on Windows 7 running video games. I am still able and was able to run video games on bootcamp Win7, on my original Mac Pro 4.1 that I still have and use as backup, since this Ramjet upgraded Mac Pro 5.1 is meant to replace it. But then the new upgraded Ramjet Mac Pro problems slowly progressed to the point that sometimes I could not even boot into the Mac, which is what I primarily use for my business. The tech who built the Mac Pro, tried to help but after a certain point, ignored the evidence that I sent him: pics of frozen Mac screen, nothing to do with gaming on Win7, and told me he didn't know what to say. Asked me to send the Mac to him. Difficult since I use it for my business, but I agreed and emailed him questions about details of that. They have not responded to that last email or any emails since Ive sent since then. One of them a timeline and progression of what happened. I thought they were still willing to work with me. However after, weeks went by then months with no response. I had to contact my bank about a credit card purchase from a completely different vender, that failed to work and the vendor ignoring my emails. The lady at the bank was nice and very helpful, so, when she asked me if there was anything else? I hesitantly, since I didn't want to cause friction with Ramjet, since I value them for the RAM and the way they had always been responsible. I told her of the impasse with the tech that sold me the Mac Pro desktop, and the resulting problems, and that they failed to respond. I have a feeling the bank asked for a full refund, which is not what I had asked her to do. I wanted only a $500.00 refund, since the computer is not doing what they claimed it would do. She promised to personally speak to the tech to try to arbitrate on my behalf. That was a mistake on my part, since it seems she did it differently, and antagonized Ramjet, who are now entrenched in the false belief that the whole problem was the one particular game, Guild Wars II. At this point the old computer is still able to run Guild Wars II (at fully reduced graphics, maximized for speed) and other video games on Bootcamp Windows 7, but this new one I cant. (right now, it is stable if I stay only on the Mac, but it continues to have problems if I boot into bootcamp win7, although using VMWare Fusion to access business programs only on bootcamp works fine. Its never been possible to play any video games that way). Im using the RamJet Mac Pro for business and able to play guild wars II ONLY on the Mac version of the game; also at fully reduced graphics, maximized for speed. I cannot play any other games that require a PC on it. I would not advise buying any of the rebuilt/upgraded Macs they sell, and am very disappointed in their behavior.

I feel foolish if not conned by DriverGuide.com. Not being able to find the driver I wanted I fell for their clever marketing of DriverDective and downloaded it. Low and behold it found a driver I needed. So buying a premium membership with DriverGuide, I believed I was getting an 'Activation Number' for DriverDective! I didn't. All I got was a year's membership with DriverGuide; I'm so mad! I have since complained to PayPal about this misleading information. Anyone else fall for this trap?

I downloaded the apple mobile usb driver, at 55kb/sec, Dial Up Speed. It is their server that is sending slowly, not the internet connection. Waiting Waiting Waiting while looking at their ad that reads,"Stop wasting time on slow download process, Upgrade to Driver Easy Pro version to get 10X Faster Download Speed. Then you can download and update the driver instantly." So I say to myself, will you pay up just because they make a download really slow? Nope, not me. And the download is 251.1 MB, for a usb driver????? What garbage did they include to make a 25KB driver take forever? Who would trust these clowns with anything ever? 1 Hr 16 min to download a usb driver. What a bunch of clowns!! Just skip this site and find another driver provider.

This site definitely appeals to the average person because the layout is so simple but very VERY effective. It is a clean site with a flawless look, and someone without any technical background would definitely appreciate it. I have had 5 dealings with downloadmsoffice.com which resulted in 5 purchases for friends and family. I was phoned the following day to confirm payment details as an additional security measure for first time purchasers (not all purchases were made in my name as they were friends and family). I was pleasantly surprised and I would recommend them to people wanting to save a few dollars. All products were provided with legitimate keys and are still running fine 3 years later without any issues even after multiple reinstalls following a hard drive failure. David

These people are not to be trusted. They take money up front before quoting and say they will refund a portion less the quoting fee if it can not be repaired and then you NEVER get your refund. All you get are empty promises and then they stop replying. Do not waste your hard earned money on them. There are dozens of people with the same complaints - check the HelloPeter reviews.

My Apple Mac recently got hit by lightning during a storm. I did not have a back up of all the data. This company charged a lot of money to repair my Apple Mac but when it came back all my data was gone. They charged an additional amount to buy a package to retrieve the lost data and this did not work! So apart from losing all my life history, I had to pay for no results in repairing the damage they did. The correct protocol for repairing any PC when replacing a motherboard is to make a backup before, something these guys still have to learn!

Softkeyworld appears to be selling gray-market MS Office licenses. If you do not redeem them quickly, they may be revoked by Microsoft as a result. Softkeyworld support claims that you must redeem licenses within 30 days of purchase (presumably before Microsoft has a chance to identify it), but this is never mentioned during the purchasing process.

"Ordered a Microsoft office home and business 2016, cheapest price around with free next day delivery. All sold and delivered as promised. They detail explained to me how to install and use the software. Will be buying from here again Even though I had issues with memory compatibility, Softkeyworld staff dealt with my query very efficiently and to my satisfaction.
