A new service from the folks at novirusthanks.org, this one scans a website with 17 different applications, looking for exploits and malware and checking on the site's reputation with services such as Web Of Trust. Whilst nothing is ever 100% guaranteed - a test result is only valid at the moment of the test - this is a good way to know whether you should feel safe visiting a site. And it's quick. Sitejabber passed with flying colors in about half a minute. A recommended bookmark. After seeing dropbox destroying download links, this seems okay at avoiding this. I've realized it is not the site's fault for having malicious ads (which is why I gave a higher rating than before), as it is the ad network prone to attack. Thanks to this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mgs8h2pu-1I instead of clicking on the true download button (I said true because ads can be deceptive on the display) you would right-click on it instead and "save link as" or something similar (I'm using Google Chrome by the way). Just make sure your browser is up to date and so is your anti-malware software. I would rather have anti-malware and avoid triggering ads than to use an ad-blocker because using ad-blockers could cause the site to do what photobucket have done. I do dislike when ads do these following: -Popups, and new tabs being opened. -Do anything else besides closing when I wanted to close if it is a in-window box that prevents me from using the site (fake close buttons are examples of this) -Redirects to any scam sites (tech support scams, congratulations), Amazon cards or just about any site. -Drive-by downloads. But I do dislike when sites be fallen because of the overuse of ad blockers AND that nobody is reporting them, causing attacks to be secret and makes this entire situation even worse. If you are a professional anti-malware company that voluntarily help with websites be safe (I'm looking at you, malwarebytes), please at least weekly check this site' ad network. It's a popular site and that can be a big target for a large number of users.

They (on MediaFire) know who I am. I was one of their old users, since 2004. I used to store files and download them from the site from time to time; but in the beginnings of this year, trying to look for my old files, I never found them. I started using Capsulink a few months ago. I really like that its so easy to use. I use it for very basic purposes - I need to make some links shorter when I put them in presentations and online documents, and share them with others. I dont personally need to create branded links so the free plan is sufficient for me. I imagine that for some companies the opportunity to create links with their company name in them would be useful as well.

[ Edit: Please note that the freeware Writer app now requires that you install the Ask Toolbar for Internet Explorer. Personally I think this is an unacceptable intrusion, but you can delete or turn off the toolbar later. Deletion is always better. And as for Ask.com, how many applications *force* you to install the Google toolbar? ] Cute PDF writer is an excellent piece of free software and does exactly as advertised with no fuss. Worth mentioning here is the way that this and other PDF conversion apps of the same type get around the problems caused by "fillable forms" that you often find online. These are PDFs with data fields into which you type your content, before printing the whole thing to your printer. The problem is, fillable forms, once printed, often can't be saved with all your data in there. They will only save as blanks. So if you need to print multiple copies, you have to do the whole lot straight away, and if you don't have a printer but need to use someone else's, you're stuck unless you go to their home or office and fill your forms in there. CutePDF makes this all go away, because as far as your computer is concerned, it's just another printer. Send a document to it for printing, and it will create a PDF file instead, which you treat as any other PDF file. You aren't obliged to print it now, or at all. So now, all you need to do to save copies of a filled form, is send it to CutePDF Writer from your Printers menu. You get a form, with all the fields filled out. You can't modify it any more, not with the freeware version, but you can now save it to a flash drive, take it to the library or a friend's house or the office and print the copies out at your leisure. Apps that use the printer trick are amongst the most useful to have available if you do any document work at all. This one is nowhere nearly the most complex but for most people, it doesn't need to be. It just gets the job done. Recommended.

Why is NoScript.net a key tool to Internet users? Because it makes things a ton more secure. People like to think that Firefox is secure. However, there have been flaws found in Firefox that lead to exploits. In almost every case, scripting was part of the problem. The noscript Firefox Addon is a very good tool for plugging that whole. I will not lie and say it is a dream and perfectly easy to use. It will take a little time for people to learn what they do and do not want to allow. However, once you let scripts from the major players run, what is left is a lot safer web. The random scripts from ad servers that are located in questionable places, which are loaded with attack scripts, will no longer have any leverage over Firefox. And if you find it has gone to far, you can always just allow an entire page, quickly change settings, and so on. It just takes using it and getting used to how it works.

I've been using NoScript with Firefox for a good while. I love being able to open any new website without fear that malicious scripts can run until I catch & stop them. It's very easy to use. With a mouse click you can tell what services are running scripts. What services want to run scripts. Between the NoScripts icon & the handy Currently Forbidden bar with an Options button. Setting up the webpage/website is a couple mouse clicks. It's very clear what you are, or are not, blocking. I'm all for supporting my favorite websites, etc. I've found that some of my trusted websites, that I actually pay for premium service with no ads, have had issues with an occasional ad running malicious scripts. So, I block to be safe, not to mess up revenue streams.

Aiseesoft Screen Recorder really has saved me from headache during the virus-hit learning period. Since I own an iPhone and learn online classes on a Windows computer, manually writing down key points to my Windows computer is always an issue. Fortunately, this software has helped me out. After a couple of days of trying different free & paid versions, Aiseesoft Screen Recorder appeared well ahead. However, when i bought it on my iPhone twice repeatedly due to internet issue, then i contacted the customer service quickly and easily got the refund. I love this recorder. Just use the hotkeys to record the computer sound and narration.

I been getting a lot of video animation ad texts (don't remember company names) and phoned one to ask how this happened and ask them to tell their advertising partner to get me off the list. I've gotten another one. They should not be using disreputable advertisers who keep spamming even after you ask very politely to be removed from their text spam.

This place is absolutely horrible! A bunch of unprofessional, uncaring people. The owner stated that they require the customer to be engaged in the process in order to see results. I've called multiple times and was promised a call back -that I never received. I had to write a negative review to get a response from these people. I received a phone call from an employee there who basically told me that my account was just sitting there and not being worked on. So for the inconvenience, they would work on my credit for 6 months for FREE. So nice of them to offer me a service that my husband has already paid for but never received. It is hard to deal with the loss of your favorite home to fire and I had been one of the unfortunate ones to suffer that loss. On top of such loss what actually pained me was the behaviour of the representatives of the insurance company. They sort of turned a deaf ear to all our pleas to get the claim settled in time. That was initially and then the amount that we finally received was much less in terms of the value our property was actually insured for. I was totally devastated as the entire amount was very necessary for setting everything up again. Since, nothing worked, we decided to get in touch with a public insurance adjuster. We heard that The Claim Guide is one such organization that stands by the policy holders and talks it out with the insurance company. Our public insurance adjuster from The Claim Guide came to great help to us. They negotiated well with the insurance company after getting the details from my end and got me a claim amount that I could never would have imagined to receive if it was not for the public insurance adjuster. A few weeks back a wind storm destroyed a big part of the roof of my house. Though I had an insurance claim for wind damage and my insurance policy provided a coverage for the same, the insurance company was not willing to pay the money they owed me. The insurance agent was not even ready to take my calls and talk to me. I was at a loss as to how could I manage the repairs without the money coming in. My friend who suffered similar problem in the past asked me to take help from public adjuster Philadelphia. In addition to their other robo-investment offerings, Wealthfront now has a "Cash Account" with an interest rate of 2.57% APY. The account is FDIC insured up to $1 million. It only takes $1 to open. There are no additional requirements. So this is the account I was interested in. When I opened it and linked my checking account, ALL of my accounts, credit cards with that particular bank, and presumably all of my banking transactions flowed into the Wealthfront Account! I was surprised. They have free financial planning software to help you track your spending. I had thought it was just another savings-type account! Following is doctorofcredit's summary. (I have never known doctorofcredit to be deliberately inaccurate or not to correct or update information.) ""It's not technically a bank account, rather a brokerage account which holds the funds in an FDIC accounts (hence the ability to have up to $1M, more than FDIC limit of $250k). Looks like currently it's more of a savings account than a checking account since they don't offer a debit card, bill pay, check writing, etc, though they are considering adding those things. You can see their FAQ here. An advantage this has over savings accounts is that there is no limit to the number withdrawals per month.""

After being contacted by a new broker, I decided to give them a 2nd chance as I had $400 in my account that I could not get a refund. The new broker Max Miller guided me to make a withdrawal of $50 and was smooth and I received the money. ( that was a trick) and I got sucked into it. I traded few times with very little money until I was confident to use their platform. I studied the market for nearly 3 days 10 hours a day and I was ready to trade and make money. I play the piano and I am very fast with my fingers. I started trading GBP/ JPY at 9.45 am uk time with $130 and as I made more profit I put up the buy gradually. by 11 am uk time I made $48.500, I lost $3,500 with 4 trades and I stoped . Left home for work. at 4pm uk time I logged in to my account and found out from 11.30am uk time there has been tradings opened with loss and my profit Of $45.000 was lost. these trades was not by me! the broker/ Marketfornow placed tradings illegally with out my knowledge or my consent ( they have full control of your account ). after contacting max miller the broker, this is what he came up with ( a total Rubbish ) this is the email: The way that you have been trading was suspicious and the risk-management department gave me a HUGE fine and penalty for that. As a result, they have changed your balance back.

Nowadays there are loads of platforms to trade on, and I have tried a couple of them. They weren't bad, but the experience I had with Profitstrade has been way better than any of my previous FX Brokers. I invested $300 initially, and am ready to invest more. If you are looking for a trading website, I would advise you to give Profitstrade a try. You don't have to be an expert to start but it is important to have some basic knowledge.

Chesscom is beneath contempt. Short after opening my account and paying an annual registration fee of approx. 99 Chesscom accused me of cheating (using assistance e.q. computer engine) and closed my account. The immediate closing of the account was performed without any investigation. Followingly, the chesscom support was ignoring my emails. The only answers I received was that "I should reconsider my position", meaning that I should claim that I was cheating. After making it clear that I will be forced to take the legal actions and giving a deadline to Chesscom for returing my money or reopening my account, the Chesscom finally retured my money back. The whole issue took over 2 months. From my personal experience Chesscom is a bunch of hihgly incompetent self claimed "world`s leading experts" who cannot distinguish between a computer and a club player. Furthermore, chesscom treats the customer as a piece of s**t. I can only warn everybody from this chess server.

I love chess and this app looked perfect. Having opened an account, work summoned and it wasn't until a few days later I was able to play my first game. To my great surprise, I found that my profile had been blocked - with no explanation. I wrote to support who got back to me in a rather condescending email and accused me of cheating. They told me that they would offer me no evidence (they were very confident in their "investigation team") but that if I apologised for indescration they would give me a second chance. This, I must note, reminded me of being drummed our of a fundamentalist religion for asking questions! I held my tongue I won't a polite email back asking if it was possible that someone else used the account (which is surely what must have happened) and asked if they might delete the account. Rather than a "yes of course" or a "sorry to hear that" email, I got another off colour response pointing out that "It looks like the first game was a daily game played on the same day that you created the account"!!!! I had to put some thought into how to respond to this - at this point I felt more like a school child being accused of throwing the ball at the window on account of the fact the teacher now had *the ball* in their hands. I have asked chess.com to delete all my information and I now wish to have nothing to do with them - I have suggested to them that they think about how they respond to allegations (with less assumption and more listening).... nevertheless be careful if you engage with these people... something doesn't feel quiet right.

Someone with a nasty side wrote the AI for this thing. It sets you up to fail, and even an expert (no brag, just fact) gets killed again and again. In computer partner mode, you're dealt hands that the AI then uses to have you make bids that are impossible to make for a few hands, then gives both of you so much power for the next game that you couldn't lose to anyone. Much the same in the 'multiplayer' live partner and opponents version. And you will get the same or almost exactly the same ratio of cards in each suit for many hands in a row. You have a solo heart, say the 6, and next hand it's the 7 as the sole card in that same suit. You get nice lead cards and spades for many hands in a row, and then hands that are calculated to make you go nil, but your partner's hand can not cover it. Only the computer AI knows before you play, just how bad a hand it is for going nil. And then it's over and over and over. People bail out of games right and left to go into another room/table and try for a better deal. It's hard to get to finish games because players get so disgusted with their hands never matching up with their partner's.

I don't know that this is deliberately rigged or just bad programming. I think the actual graphics of the cards are some of the best I have ever found because they are not over-run with annoying movements and distracting sounds of cards shuffling. Some games go way overboard and nearly give me motion sickness. However, spades and hearts don't act right at times. If think I have seen my own partner low-ball me during a Nil bid causing me to take a hand, when they could have dealt a higher card to help me out. And hearts ticks me off sometimes. The game will make sure you get the queen of spades come hell or high water. I've notice that the queen is always to my left waaaaay too often so if I take a chance and throw the Ace or King as the 3rd player in the sequence, 9 times out of 10, the queen will get played from the left. Also, I have seen toooo many times where the 2, 3, and 4 of diamonds are scattered evenly and the other player doesn't have a diamond, but just so happens to have the queen of spades and plays it then. Too predictable and comes off as rigged.

If I could give this place 0 stars, I would. I purchased a font from them, and when I transferred that font into my program, I noticed the letters were crooked. It was a few of them. I contacted costumer service right away. The person that replied to me, said she/he had forwarded that email to someone else to help me.(11-11-19) as of today,(11-24-19) I have not heard from anyone. I too am dissatisfied. I ordered the Silhouette Designer edition. I received an email stating how to retrieve my download. I followed the instructions but there is no download. I have asked them to cancel and they damn well better not charge my card or I will stop the transaction from going through. DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY. IT IS A SCAM.

This is a site that is worse than any in history. Not about algorithms or anything possibly real. Just about huge hands and bad beats on most of the hands. Every flop, turn and river plays to someones hand in the game, creating nothing real about random cards being played. I don't mind getting beat when you don't have a dime invested, but I'm sure the money site is just as stupid and ridiculous and a waste of time. Practice? I don't think so. Find ANYTHING else to do or just take a nap. You'll get much more out of it. #WASTEOFTIME

Scratch is an online community made by MIT for children to not only learn about programming and animation, but to have fun and chat with friends. Basically, it's Facebook and Youtube combined, but techy. You make little games, or videos, or whatever by snipping together these action and programming "Blocks" like Legos. You can do various things with these blocks, like move a character around, animate a character, or make a screen scroll. At first, it's kind of hard to understand, but you get a hang of it. The Scratch Team and it's users are very welcoming, and their are a lot of fanbase-related things on Scratch. Anime, Gaming, Music, Art, whatever you're into, their are hundreds of thousands of people on Scratch into the same thing. Bottom line, I highly, highly, HIGHLY recommend you give Scratch a try.

I've never had any problems the past 4 years. Always easy to enroll and representatives friendly and knowledgeable. Always got affordable plan and eligible for decent tax credit. However, this year was terrible. Was put in wrong plan, then when they admitted it was their mistake, they allowed me to switch to correct plan, but expected me to pay the payments for past 4 months I was in wrong plan. I was told there was nothing they could do and told to file an appeal which I did, only to be told they couldn't approve my appeal request. Then, another representative was very nice and went above and beyond to fix it beings was their mistake, so either they are very helpful, or completely useless, depending who you talk to and if you're persistent.

This is the worst job site on the internet. Would not upload my Resume after hours of work. It says 5000 characters and it's a total lie. Lost all my work when uploading because of characters, not only that the job I wanted to apply for disappeared from the listing of jobs. Something needs to be done about this horrible site. This site ruins future careers, and there should be class action lawsuits. Investigation should be done.

I have used roommate. Com for several years. It is a little more expensive then other sites but in the scheme of renting, it is not ridiculous. I have sent many messages that have gone unanswered. I assume the receiver did not want to pay to get the message. I feel like if they will not pay to receive messages one they're not very serious about finding a place to live and two if they won't pay $15 to help themselves find a place will they pay the rent repeatedly on time. I have been successful using this site. I do wish it had a cheaper annual fee that you could use instead of the shorter more expensive ones.

We signed up for dual annual membership and were given cards... and that was it. Nothing else ever arrived - until they wrote to us again asking for more money for renewal. They claimed they had sent membership items... but they didn't and even an alleged apology gift card never arrived! I could take them to the Small Claims Court for not fulfilling their side of the membership bargain, but I might have difficulty proving that they defaulted. "There's nothing we can do" was all they would say!

Visiting the UK? Living in the UK and need a day out? The National Trust is a registered charity and independent of government. It has 3.6 million members and relies on 55,000 volunteers. That's not bad from a total UK population of around 62 million. Throughout the UK the National Trust protects and preserves over 350 historic building, gardens and ancient monuments. They supervise and maintain woodland, beaches, parks, islands, nature reserves, wilderness areas – protecting the environment, structures and maintaining public access for everybody. There is usually a small entry charge for the buildings – to help with the very high costs of restoration and general maintenance – but I have never been to a National Trust site where I thought the charge was excessive. This is an awesome utility. I cannot say how much time it has saved me. Before I used to copy and paste and now I just clip. It works all across the web. I still copy and paste especially for blogs and sites I do not think will be around in the long run. With Clipix I can save there and go back to copy/paste later. Cannot say enough good things.

Terry Berry from Delaware Business Incorporators was both responsive and helpful when answering our questions about the incorporation process. She provided all the information we wanted to make informed decisions about how best to incorporate (verified her advice on internet and it all checked out) Only reason we did not rate 5 Stars was because we caught a typo in my cofounder's name on the Articles of Incorporation (last letter of his name was an 'x' instead of a 'z'). I thoroughly reviewed the application (at least 3 or 4 times) before submitting to the Delaware Business Incorporators, so I'm fairly confident I wasn't the party responsible for the typo, but definitely can't say for sure. Regardless of who was at fault, we did submit days before the mercury retrograde (that just ended earlier today at 2:12pm EST) began for all those business that are into Astrology, so it could easily be the case that nobody is at fault and it was just a computer hiccup. If anyone from Delaware Business Incorporators helps us fix this (if it's even an issue worth addressing), then I'll update back to 5-stars. Other than the typo, we were very satisfied with the services we received, the pricing is fair, and my partner and I can now own/operate the corporation of our dreams. Couldn't be happier!
