A burst polythene water pipe on a Friday afternoon, with parts less than $60 & 15 minutes to repair, cost us $869. Total time on site was 1 hour because he had to get some parts. I told him that this was outrageous & how could he justify this cost, but he just told me I could get someone else if I wasn't happy, but he knew I had no choice. Crooks come in all forms.

I went away on my 1st family holiday thinking I would come back to my leaking roof repaired. It was not, nor had the job been started. My contact person had not been notified or had their phone calls returned. I cancelled the job after they did not bother to contact me after I returned. The end result? I went elsewhere and got a brand new roof before Xmas and it was cheaper than this mob would have charged me for a fix up & spray.

I got them to replace my gutters and install leaf guard. They did this promptly, well and at a reasonable price. A year or two later I got them to replace the metal roof at the rear of my property. They quoted less than others, and did a good job. In particular, they have done good work around the chimney, which was a problematic area for leaks beforehand due to poor quality work. The thing that stops me from giving five stars is attention to detail. The workers left cigarette butts around my yard. This may have been OK 20 years ago, but it is not OK now. The work on the metal roof was fine, but there was a very small amount of ancillary work on the adjoining tile roof that was barely adequate. The worker who did this left cement residue everywhere - on the tiles, on the metal roof, splashed up on the front of my house near the tap where he washed out his tools and bucket. He also dropped a chunk of tile into my sewer gully trap, which caused the sewer to overflow. Fortunately, I am the kind of person who investigates their gully trap before calling a plumber. If I had paid for a plumber to fix this I would have been really angry. In addition, one of the workers has left a smart alec remark written on top of my air conditioning duct. It is not rude or offensive: it seems more exasperated in tone. However, it is my duct, and it is not up to contractors to leave messages for each other or write comments upon it. I imagine whoever wrote it assumed that I would never get up on the roof and see it.

I contacted Sydney Roof and Gutter Restoration to quote upgrading my roof to colour bond and found them very easy to deal and I accepting there competitive offer on the first visit. The reasoning why I chose Sydney Roof and Gutter Restoration was simple, due to the product having a 25 year warranty I was concerned the other smaller companies who quoted wouldn't be in business in 20+ years making claims allot more difficult. I contacted Sydney Roof and Gutter Restoration after searching for the oldest ABN in Sydney. Surprisingly, after we agreed on price I was contacted by the project manager who made some professional recommendations which reduced the price by $900. Uuuuummmm WOW! The project management was fantastic, materials arrived on time and work started on schedule. The install took 1 day longer than expected due to some issues with the roof framing. I was not charged any extra for the time spent. Double WOW! In conclusion, Sydney Roof and Gutter Restoration has outstanding customer service, the staff are passionate and have the customer best interest in hand. I have no hesitation in recommending there services. Absolutely sensation.... I have had the colour bond roof installed for 6 months and it's the best thing I've ever done. Though winter, my family notice how much warmer the house is, especially on those cold winter nights. No more freezing early morning toilet stumbles. We have also noticed a big reduction in heating costs and I can't wait for those sticking hot summer days. In the coupe of warm days we've had already my house was cool inside with no AC running. Im so happy. If you are thinking of updating your roof, I strongly recommend a colour bond roof and Sydney Roof and Gutter Restoration. 11/10

We got three quotes to replace over 100 broken tiles, paint our roof, replace blocked downpipes and install gutter guard. We engaged Dragon Roofing who were price competitive and gave us confidence of a good job. It is a rare thing to engage a company who far exceeds your expectations of a good job. But Dragon Roofing did. Their tradesmen were competent and pleasant. We are happy and confident to recommend them to do your work.

A roof leak as the result of a new aircon installation not being done properly and the installer patching it up more than once, Dragon sorted it in quick time, doing the work on Saturday. October 30th 2019 Update: No More Leaks I chose Dragon because I was contacted PROMPTLY, decisive action was explained CLEARLY by Steve and the work was carried out EFFICIENTLY by two COMPETENT guys on a Saturday. No more leaks has to be the best recommendation for a roof restorer.

Steve and his team worked well to achieve re-bedding, pointing, cleaning and painting within a week. We did have some issues with the neighbours, they didn't like the washer noise on a Sunday morning but the roofing guys kept within council noise regulations. Really punctual, efficient and got the job done really satisfactorily. Price-wise, they were smackbang in the middle of the quotes we received but seemed more honest and reliable than the cheaper ones.

Over the past week I have had the gentlemen from Sandhurst roofing completing a project at my house , from the word go Steve and the boys were a pleasure to deal , were approachable , were always happy to answer any questions myself or my husband had and most of all finished the job to the highest standard . Highly recommend there services .

Just had my roof done by ReACT,after approx 20 years with no maintenance. I can't fault them with anything from the time of my first contact to the end professional, efficient, worked in with my schedule and will definately be recommending them to other people

Called them up, and literally the same day they came out to our place at Yass. The bloke told me all about how his father owns the business, and they went into business because there are too many shonky operators out there who don't give good service. All a pretty good experience at the quote stage, he promised to send it over to me the following Monday or Tuesday. I gave them a week's grace and followed up. "Oh yes, I'll let him know to get back to you." Another fortnight went by. "Oh he must have been busy, I'll get him to call you." A month. "I'm sorry, I can't give you his direct number but I'll get him to call you." Literally two months have gone, and no return phone calls, no return emails, no contact whatsoever. And I was ready to give them my cash. Bloody lucky I didn't go with them, I would have had buckley's chance of getting them to come back and fix something if it went wrong. Total joke.

We originally had leaf-busters install on our whole house back in 2012 and now have found the silicon they used has started to peel, called them only to find they have gone into liquidation back in 2016 - Grayson Gutter Cleaning who have taken over their number 1300 GUTTER has agreed to come and fix the problem but unfortunately our original guarantee (20 years) is no longer valid and if we want to claim against it we have to contact the liquidators....

The Leafbusters gutter guard has been on our roof since 2014 and we also had the clean out service done recently. There are no valley parts so it work great. Glad to have a worthwhile idea.

had a tradesman here to take images with his phone and then I rang the company and got an appointment After numerous calls to Tim Goodall to which after each call he would say Ill get back to you ( and he never returned a call) On top of that when I rang the company on the due date I was told someone was coming there was no appointment booked for that day ! One response was that the tradesman had left who had taken the images with his phone I phoned another company and they were there the following day. I would not bother calling this company nor would I recommend them

Mid summer 2017 Hailstorm had damaged my roof resulting in water leaking and also damaging the bathroom skylight. Most repairers would not help repair both and I was keen to have a 'complete solution' fix to both the roof tiles and the skylight. This was easily done by AGC and also ensured the spares ordered and fixed before Christmas 2017. Thank you,

I had a quote from Rhino Roofing which seemed to be cheap and that's what I received .12 months later the paint has faded and peeled in sections .I have rang several times to get them back but its always the same excuse ill come out next week but next week never comes . Buyer Beware

We had a quote, paid a deposit with the work to commence in 2 weeks, 2 months later, no contact, been trying for 3 weeks to make contact, left messages, texts, phone calls. Chris eventually contacted us, explaining he had made a mistake and forgot to inform us of his holidays. Worked completed now, to a great standard, considering the poor condition the roof was in. Looks new. Recommend this business.

Stoddart installed patio roof using Bondor insulated panels 12 years ago on my new house. Because it was installed incorrectly moisture wicked its way through the polystyrene and rusted the roof out. Stoddart said "At the seven year mark we are no longer responsible." It took weeks to get any response from Stoddart and then it dragged out over six months and they would not respond in writing. I recently had a sectional garage door installed in Brisbane and I received excellent service from the state manager who has gone out of his way to be very helpful. The crew who installed the door were professional and persevered to fit and adjust the door into an opening that left them little headroom. I am very happy with my choice of supplier and the quality of the product and would not hesitate to recommend the Brisbane team to anybody. Regards Rod

Our house is a project home built around 17 years ago. We had some problems with minor leaks for no apparent reason. We contacted Monier who came out and took some tiles away for assessment. It was found that the tiles had a fault. We now have a brand new roof replaced by Monier under warranty. Very happy with the outcome and the customer service was excellent.

I am a professional commercial property maintenance supervisor - i.e. I book tradesmen for a living. These guys work to "old school" standards of quality and job integrity. They don't cut corners and don't skimp on materials. Service like this is becoming rarer these days, so I don't mind giving them a good review and spreading the word to those who may not otherwise know any difference.

I contacted Anthony asking for help. My roof was leaking and had been leaking since my home was built 7 years earlier. I had a huge file of evidence to say the tile design was flawed. The tile company would not listen to me. Anthony came to my home and showed the tile company what the problem was. Anthony was able to add weight to my argument with his expertise; he was able to speak the lingo of the industry. Anthony was able to quickly point out the issues and give his professional opinion. Anthony spent over 2 hours in discussions about my flawed roof tiles and in the end the company replaced my entire roof at no costs. I could not be more thankful and appreciative of Anthony’s time. I highly recommend this small business to anyone.

When we decided to install a servery in our kitchen thinking about security of course there was only one choice for us and that was to call Modern group and have a roller shutter installed.After we removed the window and framed it out Modern came in and did the rest. We couldn't be happier with the results..

A little while ago we had our roof restored with modern after stupidly going with a cheaper company first and it not lasting 12 months before the paint started coming off..We have now got a beautiful looking roof that we know is gonna last us for our lifetime atleast. and we got what we paid for this time.If only we got it done with modern first we could have saved alot of money

I recently had Gutter Guard fitted to my property due to a large bird infestation. After contacting various companies I had found via the internet I spoke to Steve at SA Gutter Guard. I was so impressed by his knowledge, the options he provided to me and the professionalism in which he delivered my quote that I contracted him to do my job. And I could not have been happier. The work ethos that Steve and his company work by are incredible. They completed the job on time, with utmost care and pride in their work and left the site spotless at the end. I even received a call from Steve afterwards to see if I was happy with the job. I’ll be using them for all future works. Well done to an amazing team !!!!

The owner was also installer. He was friendly at first and we were quite happy with the service. When the gutter guard was damaged and we required assistance to repair the gutter guard, the service we received was less than average. The company claims up to 20 years warranty of service and material. We received zero warranty and was aggressively spoken to when asked about the possible repairs. Consequently, we had to use another company to do the repairs and was out of pocket. Be very weary of the after service support.

We paid over $3000 for works done on the roof and did not hear back for the first few months, had to make 20+ phone calls to finally have someone to come out for quotations only to find that these quotations were not passed on. We ended up having 3 separate quotations because of this, WRONG parts ordered, and then when it came to actual works - these were delayed endlessly with no communication. When we contacted TOMKAT, we were either ignore, had incredibly rude receptionists and then given WEATHER excuses. Works were delayed for over 6 months. We will be making formal complaints.

Paid close to $1000 for 2 short pipes to the gutter. It didn't solve the leak into the house, it got so bad the rain is pouring in the house. They charge for rework, change their prices after quote and don't response. If you are looking for roof expert beside cleaning, you will b surprised. Although cleaning is excellent if you don't mind leaving mess in your garden.

From Tayfurs quote and reassuring manner to his boys always turning up before scheduled time, professional attitude and workmanship. They where always courteous, friendly and extremely tidy. They where very accommodating and flexible to suit our availability. Fixed all that needed to be as promised by Tayfur at the quoting stage. Very professional and thorough workmanship. We had our roof retored which included a 10 year warranty. When we contacted head office to report some issues after 4 years we were told our warranty was void because the franchisee who restored our roof had sold his franchise. It took months to sort it out and we had to pay for the labour to have the roof re- sprayed . I found the guys on the tools to be decent people. I wouldn't rely on the warranty!

The roofing professionals answered my calls quickly and politely, after the hail storm at Christmas I had quite extensive damage to my roof and skylights, they supplied me with photographic evidence and a written report of the work that needed to be carried out. when they arrived to carry out the work they were polite and took off there shoes when walking through my house. they cleaned and left everything spotless when they had finished. and showed me detailed pictures of the work they had done. I was very happy with there service and would recommend to family and friends. thank-you

Would give one star if possible.They simply don't reply to online website contact form at all after one week , so why have this facility on your website if you dont bother responding to it ?? ... then they answer their phone with " hello" !!! and say they will ring you back to get details of your job , then dont ring back !This does not instill confidence in your name " the professionals" , more like amateurs really.

Not happy with Bristile at all I will never be dealing with the company ever again as I had a job lined up with my own company two days before they undercut me i’m going to do everything in my power to let them know it’s not ok as I was Had all my tiles lined up supplied through them I repeat do not go to BrisTile ever again I will be taking this further and notifying all builders roofers Tiler’s metal roofers in qld and nsw or if not Australian wide

The last lots of bad weather just about finished off the roof on my house; leaks, cracked old cement tiles and danger of fire through torn and perished, old sarking meant I was putting buckets in the roof when there were rain storms, it was a nightmare, repairs had not worked anymore, it was time to get a new roof. Living near the bush and up high was just too dangerous and worrying especially after the bush fires we had. I was concerned at what this would all cost, it is a big job but after checking out what was available, prices and tilers I contacted Bristile at Horsley Park as they had the best tiles I could find for what I wanted for these conditions. Their Roofing Manager, Andrew Tymmons, who has had his own roofing business for 30 years and now works for the Horsley Park (Sydney) branch of Bristile came to quote and I was very pleased with the price and standard offered by him and his team Shayne Bobbin Roofing. The whole job was well organized, on time, excellent products and finish, including at my request, the taping of the sarking seams to prevent wind, rain and dust entering from the South. I am completely happy with their work, clean up and manners, now I have a wonderful new roof that can handle the kind of weather conditions we are getting and for a long time to come and all very good value and will not fade! I am really glad I chose them, thank you Andrew and Shayne with his team. Everyone who walks by comments on the great look and good job. One happy lady from "THE SHIRE", Sutherland, Sydney.

I paid for 3m to be cut to 2.6 and delivered to Bunnings to be picked up by my builder the morning he was doing the install. Until the builder unrolled it on site it we didn’t realise that it’’s shorter than ordered. So, now when it rains instead of draining onto the garden bed it drains straight onto the paving which will be a problem in my location where there can be heavy frosts. It has also compromised the design. So called the manager who kept telling me they could replace it and I kept on telling them the builder is here to put it up and I paid to cut it to 2.6, not shorter. I’m not paying for the builder to come back again apart from the fact the builder is very hard to get. The manager kept saying again they could replace it so I had to repeat the builder is here to put it up. The manager said firstly that it wouldn’t matter that it was shorter. How could he know where we had the battens, beams and joists! So then he came up with, “everybody makes mistakes”. They can take the order, they can take your money, but they can’t deliver the product as ordered. Then they insult you with their facile comments. I’m still working out whether to take them to the small claims court. I reported this to Bunnings who didn’t seem at all surprised at the incompetence.

This is the second review as my first one was deleted, no wonder all reviews look perfect. Inexperienced inspector and irresponsible manager. Provided misleading information, failed to disclose structural damage and try to evade responsibility. Having a very perfunctory customer service attitude.

I believe that it was vital to have an independent opinion when building a new home. New home inspections supported and advocated for me throughout the build (being a single female, building through a major building company). They provided a report, with clear documentation (including the relevant rules/policies) regarding the many issues that came up a long the way. I was dealing with Andrew Hay, who was incredibly helpful, patient and willing to answer any question. Highly recommend them!

NHI were thoroughly professional, organised and efficient, and our Inspector was incredibly approachable and helpful at all times.We couldn't have possibly identified some of the shortcuts taken by the builder, or deficiencies and defects which our Inspector identified. Our builder clearly didn't enjoy having his work scrutinized by the Inspector, and that was what gave us an enormous level of comfort and peace of mind.

I highly recommend Les and his company. He was professional and really easy to work with right from the start. He communicated well, explained the various options when we first booked and then organised the inspection in an efficient manner. We were present at the inspection. Les was very thorough in his work and clearly knowledgeable. The report was detailed and Les made time to go through it after the work was completed. I felt like Les had our best interest at heart and was an advocate for us, as buyers. He is clearly conscientious, hard working and takes pride in his work. Thank you Les!

I got a Building inspection done through Rapid as a pre-purchase inspection and the inspector detected a number of serious safety and structural issues with the building. Job well done Brad!!

They quoted me their Price, when I accepted they inspected the House at 1.00pm the next day. Rapid Inspection sent me a Full Report on the Property 3 Hours after the Inspection. Real Professionals and are very fast turnaround time.

Very arrogant person to deal with. We paid $4000 for reports on our new home. The builder didnt even fix any items & when we asked Darbecca for help they said its not their problem. I waste my money

Over the years I have bought and sold a few properties and I can say with absolute conviction that you won't find a more thorough or professional report, than the one they provided us with anywhere! They also cover both the building report and the termite/pest report in the single service which is something I haven't seen this done elsewhere to date. The price was incredible really given the time and effort that clearly went in to the report. Previously I have paid more for a simple building report that was not nearly as thorough and only for a single storey premises. I advised him that he's really selling himself short on the price, so if it goes up, you can blame me but I'm sure you would still represent great value. Previous reports I have received have been barely worth the paper they were written on but this one was really solid. I couldn't recommend them more highly. Good luck with you purchases people :-)

I first came across Resicert when my buyer requested an inspection of the house I was selling. Since I was not the one who commissioned the Inspection, I did not receive the Report, but I witnessed the thoroughness with which the Resicert Technician completed the inspection, and he commented to me on all the good (and not so good) things that he found. Later, when it was my turn to request a Resicert Inspection (building and pest) of the house I was buying, I was again most impressed with the thoroughness and the excellent service the Resicert Technicians provided, including their punctuality and politeness, I received a comprehensive Report (with photos) on both the building integrity and the (absence of) evidence of pests, together with valuable suggestions for ongoing maintenance of the property. In view of the considerable investment I made in my new property, the Resicert Inspections were well worth the cost.

I engaged Resicert twice in August 2017. First, for the building inspection, then for the pest inspection just prior to settlement. Both reports were thorough and had photos with easy to understand action boxes and explanations. It was easy to pay and it happened really quickly. 10/10

Buy Wise arranged a building and pest within 2 days from my initial contact. It's for an investment property for us and they had an opening within 24 hours from the initial phone call so a discount for that service (on the same day afternoon) was offered. This was brilliant, as I was travelling in regional Victoria at the time, so they were in contact with the agent and all was sorted for 2.30pm that day. Only issue I had was being able to access the report 24 hours later, but apart from that, really thorough and very professional. Highly recommend. We've used them on 2 properties now and will continue to do so!

I booked a combined building and pest inspection with Buy Wise a couple of weeks ago. Belinda organised everything for me, including contacting the real estate agent to arrange a time for the inspection. During the inspection, I was able to ask questions and raise concerns that I had about the dwelling. Both Peter and Rowan were extremely friendly and answered all my questions in an easily understandable manner. Both the subfloor and roof space were inspected thoroughly. Rowan also used a termite detection dog to search for any hidden termite activity. I have used another building inspection company in the past. The inspector did not even bother to get under the house or in the roof. Peter and Rowan really tried to get into the tightest corner of the building to be able to provide me with a thorough report. When they physically could not get into some spaces, they clearly explained why. The reports I received are very detailed and easily understandable. They contain a large number of photos, which makes it very easy to understand what issues were noticed in what rooms/areas of the house. I can not recommend Buy Wise highly enough! I am more than satisfied with their service and will definitely use their services again in the future!

I use this company for the final PCI day of my build. The guy came on the day did not wearing any safety equipment and did not show me a lic No. He went around a house for about 15 mins and said to me its done. I asked him if he found the defect in my garage which he did not even know about this and said he will put it in the report. After the inspection he said he will send me a report on the next working day. 8 business day later, I settle my house but getting nothing from the company. However, they send me an invoice asking for the payment, I said to them I have not yet received my report, and it is 8 working days late and I have already settled. I don't need the report no more. They then send back me an email asking me to pay by 5pm or they will send the case to the legal team. How rude!!! They don't care about you, all they care is your bucks. I have offered them half charge of $250 as recommended by Fair-Trading, but they said no, they want it full. I told them I am not happy with your service, and if you want to seek for legal advice, go for it. I will also make a claim to Fair-Trading. So be aware with this business.

Over the years, I have contacted the company to do building and pest inspections both as an owner and as a potential home buyer. The company generally responds to inspection request promptly. The inspector generally issues the written report very quickly after the inspection. They often send two different persons to do building and pest inspection. However after several reports, I do find the company may greatly exaggerate the problems with the building and often leaves potential buyers confused on the real conditions of their building. This gives little useful information/advice for the potential buyers. Furthermore, they have some standard template to use to describe house and room conditions, which are used for almost all houses, despite their remarkably different conditions. For example, I found the same paragraph was used in several reports describing bathrooms in quite different conditions (newly renovated versus old ones)"Tiles in the shower enclosure are exhibiting considerable wear and tear, a condition that may allow water penetration through the laundry walls and floor and replacement of the tiles and renewal of the waterproof membrane should now be undertaken. Furthermore, the continual penetration of water through the laundry walls and floor may result in rotting of the timberwork but any deterioration of the timberwork will only be visible when the ceramic tiles are removed and timbers exposed to view. Additionally, moisture penetrating through the laundry can result in damage to the walls and floors in the bathroom and rooms adjoining the laundry.". As another example, the same sentence was used for a brand new water tank and a more than ten year old one: "The hot water tank may be at the end of its warranty which is often only 1 to 5 years." There are so many such standard paragraphs in the report, which means virtually they only need to change several words to describe both almost brand new house and an old one. Of course, any bathroom may leak eventually or may possibly leak. The problems with their reports were that when you have so many such things listed as MAJOR problems, this gives very little information for potential buyers on what the true conditions of the property are. I would strongly recommend anyone to stay away from this company if you are interested in getting really helpful advice, or at least you should have a builder friend to help interpret their report. However in the latter case, your builder friend can do the inspection anyway. Timely response to inspection request and to generate written report Tends to overly exaggerate problems, list minor fixes as significant and confuse home buyer

We are building our first home in Greenvale Victoria and would highly recommend Landmark to any home builders. The reports were meticulous. Maintenance item and repair recommended are clearly mentioned and easy to understand. The staff is very friendly, professionaland helpful. Replies to the emails are in few minutes. Which is simply amazing. The reports are received after 2 hours of inspection conducted. The reports are well worth the money. Overall very happy with the service. Overall great service from all staff (administration to inspector) report turnaround was very fast and very detailed and the inspector was happy to follow up via email/phone with any questions.

Op 28 januari 2019 hebben we een toilet set en 2 wastafel kranen besteld. Op de afleveringsdatum troffen wij een briefje aan in de brievenbus dat de zending retour depot is mee genomen. Na telefonisch contact werd duidelijk dat het transport schade aan de WC pot betrof en is overeen gekomen dat de complete zending opnieuw naar ons wordt gestuurd. Zending was echter niet compleet, de WC pot ontbrak bij de toilet set. Mijn vrouw heeft nog tegen de bezorger gezegd dat er ook een WC pot bij hoorde. Hier kon hij geen antwoord op geven, vervolgens heeft mijn vrouw alsnog getekend. Mede omdat er 2 colli op de levering stond, dit is misleidend. Voor mensen die niet bekend zijn met logistieke processen is 2 kartonnen dozen 2 colli. Na enige dagen hebben we telefonisch contact opgenomen met Sanitairkamer.nl met de vraag waar de WC pot blijft. Werknemer(s) blijven hetzelfde mantra herhalen dat ze op een scherm zien dat alles is geleverd. Voor ons is het onbegrijpelijk dat je in je logistiek proces niet terug kunt vinden of er zoiets groots als een WC pot wel of niet fysiek in de zending aanwezig is. Een coulance regeling of in ieder geval een vervangende WC pot hangende het uitzoeken wat er fout ging om toch vooruit te kunnen bestaat bij jullie blijkbaar niet. We waarderen het dat de toezegging is gedaan om een voorraad telling te doen maar hebben weinig vertrouwen in het feit of dit ook werkelijk wordt uitgevoerd. We zijn nog nooit op zo een onfatsoenlijke wijze behandeld en er worden telkens mondelinge terugbel afspraken niet nagekomen. Een mondeling afspraak is ook bindend mochten dit iets nieuws zijn voor Sanitairkamer.nl Want zo ga je niet om met je klanten als je er prat op gaat een 9,1 voor klantvriendelijkheid te scoren!!!! I recently had the practical completion walk through of a house I am having built at Thornlands. I have had many problems with the build but was recently given a supervisor who was great, and, before the inspection, went through the house with a fine tooth comb having every little fault and defect remedied. Even so, Phil Kelly from K-Spec, who I engaged to conduct an independent inspection at the walk through, found a considerable number of items needing attention, two of which I consider to be extremely significant, which made the whole process well worth the cost. I had been on the ball through the whole build but never would have picked up on the items he discovered. Phil conducted the inspection in a friendly and extremely professional manner and his knowledge of the building code is most comprehensive. Even my supervisor and construction manager from the building company were very impressed. When I phoned Phil with a question the day after the inspection, Phil was happy to give me the advice I sought. I can wholeheartedly recommend K-Spec and Phil for a practical completion inspection.

I was referred to K-Spec Building Consultants, and recently had them conduct a Final Inspection of my new investment property at Ipswich (not far from Brisbane). Overall, I was really pleased I chose to engage K-Spec to conduct my property inspection, and would highly recommend you speak with Sokhon or Phil at K-Spec if you're building a home and wanting a final inspection, or even looking at a pre-purchase inspection. I have detailed my experience below. When I first phoned and left a message, Sokhon was prompt in returning my call, and did a good job of explaining the service offered, and was easy to understand and is a great communicator. I was able to book Phil (the director and main inspector) in within about a week or so, and they were easily able to work in with my builder to coordinate the inspection time. I was glad to be able to drive up and attend the inspection on the day, and Phil and Rod did a good job of identifying 51 defects and omissions on my new property!! While I could have easily spotted some of these issues myself, there is no way I would have been able to identify all 51 on my own. Phil and Rod have a very good grasp on all the requirements and obligations builders have. Some examples of some of the issues they identified during the inspection include plenty of paint touchups needed, leaking basins, problems with tiling, unfinished work and more. Phil was very helpful in answering any questions I had, and did a good job of explaining. His report was quite easy to understand, and included photos of issues wherever possible. One of the main things that seems to make K-Spec Building Consultants stand out from the other building inspection companies I spoke with, was the fact that they follow up! After doing the initial inspection, and providing the builder with the list of defects and omissions, they then coordinate, and then arrange a SECOND INSPECTION, to walk through the property, and ensure that all the issues have actually been corrected, and provide a final summary report. This made the service much more attractive for me, even though it was more expensive than competitors. Phil at K-Spec was also able to accommodate my requests and assist wherever possible (for example I emailed him through photos of a few final issues, just to get his professional opinion, and confirm that the issues had been satisfactorily resolved), which I appreciated. Overall, I would highly recommend you consider K-Spec for your building inspection if you have a property in Brisbane, Ipswich or the Gold Coast in QLD. I engaged Peter Limburg from Finalinspect to inspect my new home at all stages of construction. I found Peter to be very professional and extremely thorough when inspecting my new home at the slab stage, frame stage, lock up stage, fixing stage and the final inspection stage. All of the defects listed in his reports at each stage of construction were promptly rectified by my builder. Peter also made himself readily available to discuss any concerns l had during the build. I would not hesitate to recommend his services to anyone building a new home.

The excellent report by Peter Limberg was well received by the builder of our apartment and prompted the builder into action to carry out the required repair work. Well done Peter!

Peter from Inspector Group assisted to analyse the cause of a problem with a double garage roof structure, he detailed an economical correction, and helped get a quote from an experienced contractor. I am extremely pleased with the service received , highly recommnded .

I called Tyrrell's after spending a lot of money in trying to fix my roof. They came, got up the roof, took pictures and sent me a very detailed report with a plan of action and estimated quote value in the market When I called the builder I already had a plan which they had to follow which was great.

After posting my question i came across this review which relates to Tyrrells at Gladesville NSW ★ 1 out of 5 stars. · 9 months ago I had numerous issues with Tyrrells which include being misinformed, being provided an inadequate and incomplete service (compared to other providers) and lastly, paying $200 more in comparison for a superficial check. I had been misinformed that the report would include measurements (they apologized and are now amending their sample report, which I had been sent, to avoid confusion). Out of curiosity, I checked with other companies, measurements are in fact a separate service however, others include photos of all findings along with an inspection of the garage/storage for approximately $300. I was charged $520 for a service which did not cover this (note that their prices fluctuate also - I was quoted $650 when it came time to do the inspection but they honoured their initial quote of $520 from an email sent a few months earlier). The lack of photos was an issue; I had expected photos to be taken, knowing that it wouldn't take much time also. In order to fully understand the findings and to ensure that everything would be covered when communicating the defects to the contractors, I needed to spend time going through the full inspection process myself to take photos of everything. While the inspection by the consultant was superficial, only taking around 45 minutes, I myself have spent unnecessary time on this and for a comprehensive check at a much lower cost, I highly recommend engaging another company to help with your inspection.

I have recently had this company through my property to do a report and was annoyed with them to find that they had 'stickered' their advertising in my cupboards without seeking permission to put it there first. The Compass Building Inspectors went to take a look in my roof space and had to be told not to put any of his weight on the ceiling gypsom, and had to be told to only stand on the beams. He was not impressed saying 'He's a professional, and came down straight away and did not bother checking out the ceiling further to do the inspection as he as he had been instructed to do!! They left dirty hands on the internal walls, also chipping off some brickwork - how and why would you do damage to a property?!! They also left gates and doors open so my dog may have gotten out! They were lazy and NOT thorough, and would not hire them to do any work on my property!

We had Compass do our original building & pest inspection prior to buying our north Brisbane home 12 months ago - that went fine. We then arranged for them to return in Feb. 2015 to spot treat a large active termite nest in the middle of our 20m wooden retainer wall. The wall is only 5m from the house so we were keen to have it done properly. The inspector applied the Termidor spot treatment to the actual nest but also along the length of the wooden retainer wall for added reassurance. Unfortunately it was done just before the cyclone hit. I had already paid but was concerned the Termidor treatment was washed away with all the downpour. So when I expressed concern about this the manager refused to re-spray it. Needless to say he was never open minded about it nor accommodating nor with a professional and courteous manner (think his name was [name removed]?). A disgrace to be perfectly honest in terms of customer service. He then tried to quote the single and only USA case study that "proved Termidor effectiveness" in water. Really?? Anyway I persisted and said as an unimpressed customer who'd used their services in the past and hope to do so in the future I couldn't see how the treatment would have remained effective. He very begrudgingly agreed before slamming down the phone. Fantastic customer service. Sensing that he was clearly reluctant to do as agreed I placed some branches very obviously along the treatment pathway they had treated before - as I wouldn't be home when they next called I figured if they did attend as agreed then they would need to disturb the branches I carefully placed in their path, I then I would be sure that they had returned. After they said they had returned I noticed that the branches were (surprise) undisturbed. I was not impressed at their dishonesty. And sure enough about 5 months later another termite nest appeared along the treatment pathway - clearly showing the ineffective treatment or absence of treatment by Compass. Whilst no one can guarantee termite free acreage I am assured by other inspectors that, that particular piece of treated wood should not have had another nest spring up within a mere few months. I dreaded the managers reaction but rang him nevertheless and explained the story. As expected he tried denying that was even possible(!). Seriously. Then came up with loads of excuses such as "well no one can guarantee your whole plot is safe" - despite explaining we weren't talking about the yard in general but the EXACT spot that had been treated 5 months previously with Termidor. Again he was very rude and unprofessional. It wasn't until the very end of the 20 minute conversation that he suggested they return to respray it but he made me fight for even that to the bitter end. Needless to say I was totally fed up with his disgraceful attitude and service by that point that I told him I didn't want Compass at my home as I didn't trust them. I've now used a different company and will tell all my family and friends to steer clear of Compass. Amazing to think that just a little bit of respect and customer service would have diffused this completely at the start. Unfortunately they have shown repeatedly that they are obviously incapable of that.

I am building a new house and I used their service to inspect one of the stages. The inspector spent a lot of time at the site but didn't really put many things on the report. Also out of 4 items, he missed 2 item which was mentioned during the inspection. Not so professionals in my opinion. Also, the actual report contains unnecessary information which can make you confused.

Considering a house costs hundreds of thousands of dollars, one would be foolish to not spend a few hundred dollars in making sure their house is built in a high standard. Houspect did an outstanding job in picking up defects that I would never have been able to detect. They use experts from the home-building industries that understand the standards that must be reached and know the dodgy practices that tradies use to get a house built quickly. I would recommend a 4-phase inspection which ensures defects are picked up as early as concrete slabbing as these defects are impossible to pick up once the walls, roof, etc are installed.

I have utilized the services of this company (www.handovers.com) in 2016 for my house located at SPRINGFIELD LAKES. I am not really satisfied with the inspections performed as I have paid around 400$ for two inspections. The inspection reports did not pick up many items. During our bench top replacement today, we have discovered a big hole to the wall next to the kitchen sink in the kitchen area. Attached are the photos. To my surprise, this is not the first item in the list, in 2016 we discovered a big hole under the gas stove that has become a venue for incoming rodents. This was addressed by the builder in 2016. The hole was visible using a torchlight under appliances. When the approached the company today through an email, they have told me one hole was overlooked as it had a cooker during the inspection and another hole was overlooked due to a dishwasher in that place. Cracked benchtops were overlooked as well. When I raised these issues after three years (That's when I found), the company giving reasons and defending the inspections and the quality of work. I don't see any value for the dollars paid (400$ for two inspections).

I am using Tidy Me Up for about 6 months already and always pleased with the level of service they provide. Cleaners are always on time and follow my instructions. If there are hiccups, they are quickly fixed.

The cleaner was prompt and followed the directions of what needed to be cleaned I have a bad back amongst other things and so the cleaner used safe improvisations that were impressive and I ended up with a better job done than I had hoped for the price m. I highly recommend the service especially for those who have special needs.

I had a horrid experience with this organisation - in my opinion there is no value using them versus booking a cleaner directly yourself as they outsourced my booking then refused to take any responsibility for the cleaning that was done. I provided them with feedback on the extremely poor clean that was done - we paid for a detailed clean (8 hours) with the aim of doing this then having regular cleans. The clean was so bad so much was missed and what was cleaned was just lightly wiped and not properly cleaned. Trying to rectify this was a nightmare and family clean would not take any responsibility. What was meant to save me time turned into a drama and a stressful encounter - if you are wanting a cleaner I think you are better off organising one directly yourself. Very poor quality clean

James from High Power Cleaning really delivered what he promised. He was on time (8am) and worked all by himself until 7:30pm! The work ethics of this man is unbelievable! He did great job by getting all the grease off the oven, steamed clean the carpet, wiped the wall and above it all very friendly persona. The price for the clean was reasonable.

Firstly, booking time was changed 3 times only to have cleaners turn up 35 minutes late (I was left waiting in my car until I could let them in). Secondly, job not completed as per order. Only a couple of windows cleaned properly (see photos), last couple of windows done in a hurry when I reminded them of what I paid for. Showers not spotless - doors obviously not done properly. This was hard to see when they finished as it was dark outside and lighting was bad. I emailed photos the next day to High Power Cleaning who totally ignored my email and did not even have the decency to respond/offer money back or for the cleaners to come back and complete the job. Disappointed at how unprofessional this company/service was. Do yourself a favour and find someone else for your cleaning needs.

Followed up my online enquiry with a phone call within 1hr and booked my job for the next day. On time for the job, excellent job, friendly staff and always in contact to advise and issues. Can’t recommend more highly!!

I highly recommend Best Mobile Cleaning Services. The team are friendly, very efficient, thorough and professional. Punctual and reliable. Their cleaning service is the best I have come across as I have dogs and cats and it is a challenge to keep my home clean and free of hair and sand from the beach that the dogs bring in daily.
