I purchased an Epson multimedia projector for an outstanding price. I received the unit promptly and also received great customer service help. They gave outstanding person to person service and made an effort to help solve my problem. I even received a followup phone call confirming that I received this product on time. I will buy from Big On Digital again in the near future!

First let me say that I ordered a Sony DVPCX985V 400 Disc Player product in March 2005 and had a positive experience with BigOn Digital.com, which is why I am so puzzled about the company's apparent difficulties in the last six months.

Several months (June 2005) ago I placed an order (#BD-77788) with BigOn Digital for a Sony DCR-DVD92 HandyCam. The Camcorder was backordered and I was assured that it would arrive in time for my trip to Alaska at the end of June. As the time for the Alaska trip drew nearer, I called again. You assured me that it would make it in time. You finally admitted that it was not going to make it. I called several times over the next few months and the unit was still on backorder. During one of my calls William told me it was still backordered and then said “Oh my G__, look at her A__!” I asked if he was looking at Porn while working. He said “No.” I asked “where did that comment come from?” He said I am just looking at sites with sexy women.” It bothered me but I said nothing more on the subject.

I finally canceled the order in September. In October I emailed two inquiries as to whether or not BigOn Digital could now deliver the item. I was assured that it would not be backordered. I reordered by email on November 23, 2005. I received notices to call and confirm the order, which I did today, November 28, 2005. William took the order and when I inquired about whether or not it would be back ordered, he was evasive. I then received an email (today, November 28, 2005 at 9:17AM) confirming the order (# 135787)within just a few minutes of placing it. I received an email today, November 28, 2005 at 9:18AM) saying the item was backordered. I sent the following email to BigOn Digital.

“I emailed you twice to make sure this product would not be backordered. You assured me twice that it would not be backordered. My guess is that you are having money problems and ordering when you get enough orders to pay for your shipments. Either that or you are just not good business people.
Either way, I am going to do a review on PriceRunner and resellers and other websites and let others know that BigOn.com is not a reputable place to buy things from. You might want to check the some of the websites. You are accumulating a very poor reputation.
Cancel my order immediately and send a confirmation email that it has been cancelled.

They do not actually have the Plasma TV that I ordered and said that I won't be able to get it from anywhere for another two months (they were right). So, they tried to push some other TV on me. I declined. Also, they claimed the BDI-9960 stand I ordered didn't include shelves and tried to sell me add-on shelves.

Anyway, not a positive experience. The prices are great, but you won't be able to get the items you want.

$2k+ TV arrived only one day later than they estimated, and they kept their word on our shipping arrangement. Item exactly as described; new, correct model, etc.

* Asked to call and confirm the order, which is their upsell opportunity. Be prepared to swat away offers for warranty plans, half price warranty plans, cables, etc.

* Don't expect to get customer service on the phone. Sat on hold for 1+ hrs.

* E-mail questions to customer service were answered the next day, and were helpful.

When we ordered this product, we called first and salesman said it was in stock. A week later and four phone calls later, it is now on back order, even after one person said is was ready to ship.

I ordered a new Canon Powershot Pro1 with accessories. They sent me a refurbished camera and left out $350 worth of accessories. When I tried to contact them, I was put on hold and get hanged upon for over an hour. I finally called VISA and report fraud. These people are scammers.

I ordered an Infocus X1 projector on March 15th. My Discover Card was billed the next day. I called numberous times and could not get a confirmation number for shipping. Rude and unprofessional customer service. I was told several times it had shipped. Finally, I wrote every person I could get an e-mail for and called every telephone number listed on the website and ask for a confirmation number or cancel the order after 2 1/2 weeks. I got a call that evening from Customer Service with a confimation number and I checked it and UPS site said not valid. I checked it the next morning and the item had JUST SHIPPED that morning from somewhere is California. I finally received the projector 3 weeks after ordering and making 10 phone calls and 15 e-mails. Customer Service: Poor Price: Good Buy Again: NO Professional Business: NO

About 16 hours after I placed my order they started emailing me asking me to call. I replied asking what the hold up was, and my only response was an identical email the next day asking me to call.

I entered two phone numbers into my profile. I guess they are too lazy to call, or they expect you to do the leg work while they sit on the order.

Horrible...company is only set on making money...
1) i got "conned" in to buying a warranty...i called about 30 minutes later and they said the tv shipped...i checked the tracking info, and the tv did not actually get picked up until hours after
2) there are HIDDEN fees (shipping)...i live about 15 miles from where this is located, and still paid close to 200-300 in shipping...a bunch of crap as far as i am concerned
3) i called for info on my order...and literally got transfered 10 times...for a company that stresses customer service, they need to refocus...and stop concentrating on ripping us off for our money...
4) since i got conned into the warranty, they can expect a call from me everyday for the 2nd-4th years so i get my money's worth.

My opinion...save ur money and look elsewhere...u will get ripped off one way or another...my tv seems to be acting up already anyway...avoid this company!

I purchased a digital camera through the Yahoo Price Comparison process...after receiving multiple "confirmation" emails asking me to call their 1-866 number, I realized that they are only trying to telemarket additional products. Customer service responds with disrespect and even hung up on me!
After finally placing the order, the item was to be shipped ground to my home address - it has been over two weeks now and I have not received anything.
After calling three times, I was told that their shipment was damaged and they would like to sell me another camera - when asking what camera is comparable, I was refferd to a completely different camera with different media and etc (not to mention, their price on this camera was a lot higher than other online stores). Additionally, they again tried to sell me accessories totaling $100 more than my original order.
- Customer Service: Poor; expect to listen to Jerry Seinfeld for 45 min. minimum on phone while waiting
- Product Quality: Never Received; no confirmation emails; no tracking numbers - Nothing!
- Scam: Continuously sent emails to "call customer service" about my order, where as the company wanted to make additional sales

Note: Supervisors cannot help - his reply was "how would you feel if I took $15 from you?"

I ordered the camera on line for the advertised price of $319.99 + $19.99 shipping on 8/8/05. I received a confirmation e-mail on 8/9 with these same dollar amounts. I then received two more e-mails on 8/10 entitled "Order Verification" and "Order Confirmation." Hearing nothing since then, I called to check the status on 8/16. I was told that the price was a website mistake that was announced to the sales staff on Monday (8/15) and that they would not honor that price. They offered to sell me the same camera for the new price of $429 and throw in a camera bag for the trouble. I explained that I felt this was deceptive. I was not offered the camera for the price and terms e-mailed to me in their contract. I was not charged on my credit card to date.

Two days after I placed my camcorder order, I received email from B.O.D. (Irv) requesting the following: "We would like to continue the process of your order, for us to do so we would have to ask you to contact us @ 866-244-6634 Marc EXT#116" The representative I reached was rude and pushy, tried to sell me additional items and a warranty. When I didn't bite, he sarcastically told me that when the camcorder goes bad, the cost of repairs will be more than the original cost. 2 days later I received another email exactly like the first. I responded to it explaining that I had already called and gave them my 3-digit credit card code. A short time later I received another email warning me not to attempt to contact them via email or phone call to cancel the order. I promptly emailed back and cancelled the order and have just requested my credit card company to not pay this company.
I hope someone shuts these sharks down before others have to suffer the same treatment.

Placed order for KDF-55XS955 for $2729.95 was told it was in stock and would ship next day. Order was put on hold. Called and they tried to sell me a $350. extended warrant. Credit card was billed $3,293.96 and then received a email 3 days later saying item was not in stock and may be 2-3 weeks. Also was charged 5.9% insurance charge that was not stated on web site at checkout. I would recommend checking with other companys before shopping here.

I ordered a nikon coolpix camera on this site on 25 Oct 05. At the time of ordering, it specially checked the condition of the product. It was written BRAND NEW. When I received it after 15 days, it was a refurbished product. Till then the site was still showing NEW. When I called them, at that very moment, they changed the status to Refurbished. I was shocked to see this. They accepted the mistake but refused to take back the camera. I should suggest everyone, not to but anything from this site.

Order HDTV and home theater unit on December 11, 2004. Confirmed order on December 13, 2004 and sales agent convinced me to order digital cables at my protest. Unfortunately I caved on his advise and took the cables. Home Theatre was delivered expediently. Significant expediting was required by me to get TV delivered on December 24. When unit was set up, I discovered cables were useless for the home theater and cable box that I have. Contacted BOD on December 27th and received return authorization number and sent cables back immediately. This is the last I have heard of my return order. Each time I attempt to contact BOD by telephone, I am put on hold by the auto answering system, which eventually kills the call.

Just because BOD offers a great price, does not excuse pathetic customer service. The two are unrelated. The great price should be a factor of economies of scale, no store front and efficient procurement processes. Customer service still need to be great.

I ordered COMPAQ PRESARIO 3077WM, which is a hard to find item.
They told me that they have it in stock, and it will be shipped the next day.
Two weeks have passed without a shipment. I called in many times during that time, and everytime I was told that it will be shipped the next day.
On my final call, I was told that it is not in stock, so I canceled my order. What a scam.

I will never shop with this company again & I strongly recommend that no one else does business with them. I placed my order online on April 8, 2004 and the camera was in stock. I had to call to confirm my online order and was pressured by the salesperson to purchase other items. I was lied to several times about when my order would ship. It was always "by the end of the week" or "in a few days" or "by the end of today", yet it never shipped when they said it would. I found the camera elsewhere, and less expensive, so I cancelled my order on April 26, 2004. The day I cancelled it, they charged my credit card and shipped the camera the following day. I had to refuse the package and they said they would refund me fully, including shipping since it was their mistake. As of May 22, 2004 they still had not refunded me so I filed a claim with my credit card company. Within two days of my credit card company contacting them they FINALLY credited me back. This has been one of the worst experiences ever! Complete liars & terrible customer service! DO NOT BUY FROM BIG ON DIGITAL!

Monday (5/3) evening I ordered a Fuji Finepix S7000 digital camera from BigOnDigi. Tuesday morning, a salesman called to confirm the order and inform me of other sale items, of which I purchased some. We confirmed the sale, with a 5-7 day expected delivery date. Lo-and-behold, the camera and accessories arrived on Friday, 5/9.

Ordered a Sony KV-34HS420 HD WEGA tv, for shipment to California. They said the tv was in stock, and promised they could deliver the tv within 10 business days of the order, in order to arrive before I had to complete my move overseas. Charged the card on Feb 3, and on Feb 9 said the order would take an additional 7-10 days to "process." This was in addition to the 10 business days that it would take to arrive in California. Customer service ignored my repeated emails, and simply said the same things -- wait wait wait. Should have known that things weren't right when they added "insurance" which made their shipping costs higher than anyone else's. I later found out that didn't tell me about a $100 rebate offered by Sony on this TV. Although I saw favorable reviews from "streetprices.com" for this company, both resellerratings and bizrate both give this company TERRIBLE ratings, for problems just like mine. Ultimately cancelled the order. Strongly advise you to stay away. This company is crooked, and for $50 bucks extra, you can go with a reliable company like bhphoto (who did tell me about the rebate, making the tv's total cost ultimatly $50 LESS than it was with shifty Big on Digital."
