Horus Music has been an apt partner for my music label over the last 2 years during which time we have released close to 700 songs worldwide through Horus Music. Their support is too good in the sense that they helped me during the initial stages to upload the songs in such a way that the teething problems were taken care by their team at London. Now they have a team at Mumbai who are very helpful and they sort out any issues too quickly. I recommend Horus Music to all my co labels and artists. The client software is very user friendly and it takes just about less than 10 minutes to complete the formalities of song upload.

I have been using Horus Music for distribution since the passed one and a half years now, and my experience so far has been great. The team usually very quick to respond, efficient and easily accessible on the phone, in case of any urgent requirement. What's even better is that they're always happy to help and an absolute pleasure to speak to. This also goes for the Horus Music India team, who have always been of great help to us. The website is very easy to use and their services are reasonably priced and reliable. Would highly recommend this to any artist looking to distribute their music.

Horus Music is a wonderful Company and a powerful asset for any independent Artist.
The services offered are super affordable and very effective.

Releasing with Horus Music was a great decision for the placement across different online retailers.

Overall this is a powerhouse company with a bright and prosperous career.

They advertise a 40 GBP music distribution package to give back 100% royalties of sales and streams. I purchased it in April 2018 for my new album release and the reality was:

1- Two friends purchased the album on iTunes Canada in April 2018. In June, I was reported only one April sale!
2- iTunes Canada pays the distributor at least 7 USD/sale (according to my previous account with CDBaby). Horus put 3.33 USD in my account! This means instead of giving you 100% they give 47%!
3- Their Client Zone website is useless, never as advertised and you can't see it until you pay and get stuck. It shows minimum basic info, no streaming numbers and not all stores are on the list yet although I asked for it for 4 months.
4- My album didn't show on iTunes middle eastern stores. When reported they said they will make agreement with iTunes for Middle East and it should show soon, which never happened.
5- I reported the above problems since 2 June 2018, I was sometimes left for 3 weeks until I send again and get "this is something that the team are aware of and something which we are still investigating". Being left for more weeks which is very disrespectful, I made sure what kind of company they are and decided to take down my release in 30 July 2018.
6- I started to write on their social media these facts, they deleted my comments and blocked me. They tried to report my review here but couldn't thanks to Trustpilot. This is how disrespectful companies deal with unsatisfied customers.
7- After closing my account, they don't want to give me my royalties as it doesn't reach payment ceiling! So they will take your royalties below ceiling when you close your account and they won't give it back (as no more royalties with them to hit the ceiling)!
8- On 31 August, they sent me an email "Due to the comments made on a public forum your account has been suspended and all royalty payments withheld due to violating clause 5.9 in our distribution contract: Horus Music will suspend accounts of any artist who makes disparaging remarks in any public forum or internet site about Horus Music and its services." This is a clause added especially for me LOL!, it wasn't there at my signup (you can compare through internet history).

This company is a disgrace to the UK. They should be closed soon. Don't get stuck like me. Don't give them your music, they won't respond to your emails when you start exposing their lack of transparency in royalties!


Update: They are flooding their profile here with reviews which I mostly doubt are not from real customers to bury my review.

I have been releasing with Horus Music for over 4 years now, they always respond swiftly to emails and are always able to provide solutions to any issues that arise. I would highly recommend this company for distributing music online.

We browsed the web and found that this business has an active Facebook page. We have found that this business does not have SSL (secure sockets layer), which means that you should think twice before trusting this business with your data, such as personal information or credit card details, because your information will not be digitally connected to a cryptographic key and secure connection cannot be established. We found that the domain for this business is older than two years which could be an indication that this is a trustworthy business with an established customer base and experience in their field.
