I gave 2 stars because the telephone team are nice and I took 3 stars off because I ordered 2 bespoke internal doors in February 2019, yet I am still to receive them. obviously, I have called. They are always calling me "right back".
you would think they'd at least call with an update or an apology, especially as we had spent a small fortune with them The SEVEN regular non-bespoke doors are nice though.

This is a day by day summary of my recent experience...

MONDAY 23 JULY
- Doors arrived. One damaged (beading had come away from window).
- Sent email (midday) to internal doors with photo of damage. Highlighted urgency that carpenter was scheduled for Thursday 26 July.
- Received reply (afternoon) and told to forward email to their support department. No apology.
- Forwarded email (afternoon) to Support department.

TUESDAY 24 JULY
- Called support (midday) as i had received no response. Apparently email hadn't been received. Advised to resend to a different mailbox. Email was received but image couldn't be viewed.
- Customised image, reduced size and highlighted the issue in red
- Called Support. They could now see the image. Highlighted again the importance of speed as my carpenter was arriving on Thursday. Support promised to send over to supplier and follow up with a phone call if they hadn't heard anything in a couple of hours.

WEDNESDAY 25 JULY
- Sent an email (morning) requesting an update.
- No response so called (early afternoon). Support had not received an email response from the supplier so they would call them (thought they promised to do that yesterday?).
- Called Support again (afternoon). Their contact at the supplier was off yesterday having a wisdom tooth out. They spoke to someone else at the suppliers who would be looking into the issue.
- Received email (later afternoon) from Support that the supplier acknowledged there was an issue and would contact me directly to arrange a replacement. I received no Supplier contact details in the email.
- Had to reschedule carpenter to Friday 27 July who wasn't happy.

THURSDAY 26 JULY
- Sent email (morning) to Support informing them i hadn't been contacted by the Supplier and asked for their contact details so I could talk to them. Highlighted yet again the urgency and that I had a carpenter waiting.
- It is now 1:30pm in the afternoon. I have received no response from Support. Spoke to carpenter and now being charged £220 for work he was scheduled to complete.
- Just received call from Supplier and the earliest exchange they can do is August 3 (8 days away).

Compare this to my recent encounter with Simply Door Handles.
MONDAY 23 JULY
- Received items, one item missing.
- Called Support and they were extremely apologetic and sent out the missing item by DPD next day delivery.

TUESDAY 24 JULY
- Received missing item

I accept that things can go wrong. Items can arrive damaged from time to time. But the measure of a good company is how they respond to the customer when things do go wrong. Simply Door Handles put the customer first, Internal Doors clearly didn't.

** UPDATE **
Just had a call from the Supplier (Deanta.co.uk) who couldn't get hold of Support at Internal Doors. They have taken the decision to send out a replacement door for Monday 30th before 12am at no charge. Well done Deanta.co.uk.!

Just received the last of my doors out of a 20 door order, I had requested it be sent in 2 different deliveries as I didn't want to store all the doors at once and the lady I spoke to on the phone sorted this out for me with no problem.

I wasn't going to leave a review but people are so quick to complain but not so quick to praise so thought I'd give them some recognition by saying they dealt with all my queries without hesitation and I am very happy with the quality of the doors, especially as they were the cheapest I could find them online.

I bought 5 fire doors for a total order cost of over £1000 - they were delivered last Monday (15th May) by a team who were desperate to get away. They stood all the doors in my garage against the wall, got me to sign for delivery and rushed off as fast as they could. Each weighs approx 50 kg, so very difficult to move on your own.
Three out of five doors had knocks or blemishes - judging by the packing, this was done in transit. We could live with these, as they could be arranged to be on the inside and not so visible. A fourth, which was in the middle of the stack of doors, has a very bad gouge on the front and is not usable. This was only noticed on Saturday (20th May) when the carpenter came to hang them all and we could move them between the two of us. I tried to call the Internal Doors customer service line on Saturday and Sunday but could not get through (even though they were open), so I left a voicemail to call me back and resorted to an email report. I reported the damage to Internal Doors and filled out their claim paperwork with photos and was called today by their customer services who advised that there was 'nothing they could do' as the doors had been signed for as 'checked' and it says in the small print that any damage should be reported within a day of delivery ... but I was not given the opportunity to check them by the delivery drivers, was not told that I was signing as 'checked' but just signing for 'delivery', and it was not then possible to move them on my own to check anyway as they are too heavy for one person to lift. It's an absolute disgrace that you can spend so much money for a 'high quality product' that is obviously damaged by poor handling of their delivery company and then be told 'it's not our fault, so tough'. Never buy anything from this company - they don't believe in proper customer service. I will need 10 more doors for the rest of the house over the next 6 months or so - of course, I won't be going to Internal Doors for these.

I spent 2 days trying to place an order with this company, the web site crashed regularly and was unable to complete on line. I rang to place an order for 9 oak veneer doors and the receptionist took my order and said there were only 3 of one size and 2 of another in stock and the rest would be available in February. I said this would be OK but then told me that there would be a £10 delivery charge to my address (no mention on the web site) despite having a note on the search result panel saying free delivery over £500 and on the website itself a panel saying free delivery over £750. I asked the receptionist to check and was then told in fact this was an end of range promotion and there would be no more available.
A total waste of time, they do not know what they are doing and I suspect I am lucky I did not get to place an order based on a lot of other feedback, my recommendation would be to avoid like the plague

We needed a traditional bifold door to match our existing doors and although not a product stocked by Internal Doors, Jackie Cartwright on their sales team searched extensively until she was able to source what we wanted and fielded all our questions along the way. We ordered 10 doors and the quality can be seen before you even unwrap them. Thank you to Internal Doors and especially Jackie for helping the gaps in our house look great.

Bought 2 doors, delivered on street on a pallet, co erced by delivery driver to sign paperwork as delivered. When a week later after storing as per instruction when totally inadequate packaging(cardboard edges and plastic wrap) discovered both doors damaged. Internal doors position which they will not budge on is that as I didn't report within 48 hours of delivery then I cannot get replacement. This is in contravention of the consumer protection act 2015, even if the t and c's say please report within 2 days, this is a request not a statement if warranty validity.
I am now sending my doors back at my cost which I will still claim and they are now threatening to reduce my refund should there be more damage than reported.
If they do a lawyer will step in on my behalf.
So upshot is, internal doors don't trust customer so put up wall to stop returns rather than investigate damage in transit due to totally inadequate packaging.
Disgusted and angry.
In further response to Lauren. The consumer protection act states you can return faulty goods within 30 days. Also your terms and conditions ask if you please contact us asap and within 2 days. Asking is not the same as stating that failure to do so means you are stuck with them. Internal doors even agreed they arrive damaged but will not do anything about it. To return the doors will cost me £150 so this is not practical. Again it should be the retailer who should pay for return of faulty goods. I will be reporting this practise to trading standards.

Originally ordered some oak doors from internaldoors.co.uk in October 2013 (Mexicano 686 and Pattern10) and paid by credit card (only because we felt we might need to claim money back if the company went bust). We were not told that the doors were out of stock, but were in no massive hurry for them. When they hadn't been delivered by the end of November I emailed to see when they would arrive and was told in a reply that they were 'out of stock until 31st January'!
A follow up email from me towards the end of January prompted a reply from them informing me that they would not now be in stock until 28th February! At this point we considered telling them where to shove their doors but decided to be patient as the doors were great value for money.
We heard nothing, so on 15th February I emailed them to get confirmation that our doors would be delivered around the end of February. An email response again confirmed the date. Guess what? NO DOORS!
On 3rd March (again having not had the courtesy of an email or phone call from them) I emailed to find out why they had missed yet another promised delivery date and was informed that they were now 'clearing customs' but promised they would definitely be with us by 14th March. You can imagine......we were not convinced. You can probably guess that the 14th came and went - well over 4 months since we ordered.
At last - having once again had no contact from InternalDoors.co.uk we finally had a call - from the distribution company - to tell us our doors would be delivered on 18th March (today). Low and behold, they have actually arrived!
Despite problems with the delivery (we didn't get the promised 1 hour notice phone call and I had to help the driver unload from the tail lift), the doors are now in my garage and we can, at last, book the carpenter to fit them. I have yet to check that they are all ok and undamaged and would dread having to contact them again if there is a problem when we check them!

IN SUMMARY

CHEAP DOORS / DECENT QUALITY / NICE SHOWROOM.

NON EXISTENT CUSTOMER SERVICE.

My doors arrived last week and the carpenter has just just hung them. They look absolutely fantastic. We ordered the Victorian style for the bedrooms and the French for our lounge and hallway doors. I ordered some Treatex too and it really brings out the natural grain in the veneer. Would highly recommend Internal Doors. Efficient and unbelievable value.

Just completed house extention work and needed a total of 18 doors of which some were Fire doors and a couple were glazed doors. Had excellent help and guidance from Julie in sales dept to make sure we ordered the correct quantity of handles/hinges/locks etc. The delivery was on time as promised and doors arrived in excellent packaging. We went for Sorrento prefinished oak doors. Good quality doors and I would say even though the pictures on the website look good they dont do them justice as they look great now they have been hung. Totally transforms the place. Will have no hesitation in recommending to family and friends and have already done so. Thanks. M Khan

Having recently purchased a 1960's detached house, I wanted to freshen up the interior and change the dated wallpaper, melamine fittings and wood details. These were quickly replaced but after that I knew the scruffy doors had to go. After hours searching the internet I discovered Internal Doors. They had the more modern style of door I was looking for and the Palermo was the perfect option.

The Live Chat feature was a great help and the customer service representative walked me through placing my order. My new doors arrived quickly and look fantastic, I'll definitely be placing an order for upstairs very soon!

I've already recommended the company to a friend but the doors really speak for themselves. I couldn't be happier.

I have not received the door as yet, but we ordered on the 9th, got a 'processing' email 4 days later and a courier eventually calls to suggest they will deliver on the 28th. So you can take it the "4 - 11 days" on their website is, in this case at the very least, a ridiculous exaggeration.

If you'd like something sooner, might well be better to visit somewhere else or a local DIY supplier.

EDIT: After posting this I got a pushy call wanting to "go through" my review here..Their response below incorrectly states that "This was also confirmed via email when your order was dispatched which you were aware of." This is wholly untrue. I received two emails, one on confirmation of order, one to suggest it was now being processed. Neither email mentioned the delivery date. I did receive a courier call 8 days after this to tell me the delivery date, which is when I complained to the company. Finally, if they mentioned on their website the estimated delivery date at checkout, as they suggest, it certainly wasn't conspicuous.

They do seem to be one of the lower rated 'doors' companies on TrustPilot, so perhaps click that category link and consider some others too.

My experience started well, but after receiving the doors of which I thought were semi solid doors, my lack of technical knowledge has meant that I have to pay for the return of 3 of 4 doors.

The images in the website show that the mixed compound is consistent throughout the door not just at the edges. I explained my misinterpretation of the images and description but was told it was my problem and not theirs. I have to say that for a company with so many good reviews, their customer support is extremely poor. All I would say is think twice before purchasing from these guys because if anything goes wrong with the doors, your on your own.

---- updated 22/12/2014
I decided to return all doors, even though they told me that I would not get a refund for one of them. I decided to the same courier as they use to be safe. Everything went well until I received an email from them telling me that although the doors arrived, they were all damaged and that I should now claim all monies from the couriers. I asked for pictures of the damage, which they provide and does show damage. I contacted the couriers and they were surprised as they could not find and evievidenon their CCTV that the doors were damaged in their possession. No I have been told that my Trustpiot review has been disputed by UK Oak Doors. My advice is go with another company.

Problem encountered with Saturday delivery, never received the text or email I should have at 7am from the delivery company, which did cause problems in planning my day. Unfortunately I didn't get to know what time my slot was until 2pm. I have emailed Internal Doors Support regarding this and they have assured me they now have procedures in place to answer Customer delivery queries on Saturdays, therefore my bad experience should not be repeated.
Bought Seville doors, excellent quality at a reasonable price. They are heavy at 30kg and you only get a kerbside delivery, need someone strong to get them into your property, as the delivery company don't!

Needing some new doors for my house I went to a couple of local Builders Merchants both of which I have Trade Accounts to see what they could offer the best I could get for the eight doors I needed and ironmongery was £1650.00, but was not really happy with the final choice of doors I had. So went online to see what I could find after a bit of searching I came across the Internal Doors website. a quick delve into what they had to offer and I found exactly what I was looking for and the price was good. Put the required doors and ironmongery into my shopping basket and the total price showed a saving £300.00 on previous quotes. Then I saw that I could email for a further quote which I duly did. The new quote came back the next day with a further £60.00 taken off!.

I had a couple of queries I needed to sort out so phoned Internal Doors direct I spoke to a lady called Julie who was extremely helpful and answered my questions very professionally. On that note I was more than happy to place my order.

The doors arrived on the due date very well packed on a pallet and dropped off on my drive as stated in the T&Cs. Unloaded the doors into my house none damaged. The ironmongery arrived a few days later again well packaged.

On hanging the doors I found them nice to work with and with plenty of edging to allow for shooting in. I should point out that I am a retired Carpenter with 55 years in the Trade and I can say that these doors are as good quality as the Big Boys i.e. Jenweld, Crosby etc. So in conclusion yes I would recommend this company.
