DON'T RENT FROM THIS COMPANY! Terrible management, horrible customer service and an even worse VP of Property Management...these people are IMPOSSIBLE to deal with and never apologize for their mistakes. My partner and I walked the property twice before renting a home in Chandler, AZ. (We have pictures and videos of walk thru) We loved the property so we signed a lease and gave a deposit with first months rent. In May, when we obtained access to the home, the walls had holes in them, the tiles were busted, the doors and walls were scratched up, the air conditioning didn't work (they knew about the AC and still let us move in) and the pool was so filthy that the city had fined the property for not maintaining it. When we contacted costumer service we were told by multiple people not to move in until everything was taken care of. So over a month went by with no efforts on their part. Instead we were charged the fine for the pool and were told that we MUST still pay our monthly rent, even though we were not living in the property yet. They told us that if we didn't pay the monthly rent and fee's we would be charged more fees and be evicted...this included the pool violation from the city that occurred before our lease even started and this is all from a house we hadn't been able to move into yet but were made to pay on. We then continued to go up the ladder until we reached Lori, the VP of property management. Not only was this woman rude, patronizing and condescending to us, she never once apologized and refused to return our money for the months that the house just sat waiting to be fixed. She was only willing to return the fee for the pool and a few days worth of "rent". On top of that, we were made to feel like this was all our fault. Complete and utter BS! So after all that was finally "sorted" and we moved into the property in July, we continued to have issues with these people not doing their jobs. With having the pool, we pay a $150 service fee per month for them to maintain our pool. Well, the service fee apparently only includes skimming the top of the water and adding chlorine. The bottom of the pool was so filthy from all of the monsoons we were having that it left it unswimmable. We asked the pool vendor about vacuuming the pool, but the house didn't have a vacuum. He said he had been going back to Main Street Renewal every week for 3 months, asking weekly for a vacuum and was never responded to. Knowing that this was not his fault and that this is just how this company ignores problems, having already had a ton of issues with them, we reached out to Lori again. Lori was once again rude and condescending in tone telling us that we didn't need a vacuum for the pool and then chastised us for even asking the pool vendor about the issue. We then asked to speak to her superior 4 times, of which she refused to put us into contact with that person. So here we are 4 months into our rental, still having major issues with her and the company. She finally sent someone out to "vacuum" the pool, of which it looks like they didn't do anything. See pics below. We are still paying $150/ month, have not even received an apology and have been unable to use the pool. Does this seem appropriate? NO. I will never rent from this company and I recommend that you never do either. We are still attempting to speak with her superior about the mess this has become, but she refuses to let us.I am not sure why she continues to be like this with us...it's starting to feel like a personal attack on us, honestly. We aren't sure if this is because we are gay or just because this is how they conduct business? Either way, this is unacceptable. Our next step will be to make formal complaints with the Better Business Bureau, HUD and the city. I have also spoken with a tenant lawyer who has assured me this is completely inappropriate. So we shall see what happens from here. if anyone has any other ideas we are open to any and all advice, but BEWARE of renting their properties, otherwise you too, could be dealing with a mess like us.

Each department has a different emails address and NOONE talks to each other. They do not know how to properly transfer within their own phone system: so every call is at least 1 hour with no resolution. They tried to raised my rent $165/month during a pandemic!

We had a leak under our house and they said if we paid the bill for it, they would take it out of our rent. But they ended up not keeping their word and said we paid it because we wanted too. And we still had to pay our rent and a high ass water bill for something that were their fault. And yea not to m3en they sent a shade tree mechanic to fix it and he made the problem worse.

No one knows how to get anything done. 4 open and closed work requests to get a refrigerator fixed/replaced. No ice, no cold food, no way to store food x 8 days. Kept telling me because I'm exposed on a daily basis to covid, they cant fix anything. I am a healthcare worker and exposed to a lot more serious things on a daily basis but they won't help you if you work in the medical field. My advice. LIE! Don't answer the "survey". Will not be renewing and will be telling everyone about this horrible treatment

Listen to these other reviewers it is not far-fetched. This company is a straight RIP-OFF! They stole my $50 for my application fee. Each time I applied for a "so called" home they would SAY the home is no longer available. This happened FOUR times with no prevail. They have no facility, no one to talk to in person. It's all rhetoric! All they have is one bogus customer service number with tons of robotic incompetent reps who answers the phone at home and you can even hear dogs barking, roosters crowing, kids playing, and cats meowing in the background. And if you have any questions or discrepancies that needs to be handled or resolved, their favorite line is "please send an email to our leasing agency department and they will get back with you." And of course they never do. In my eyes they are fraudulent, scammers, and charlatans who is getting away with murder. I am surprised they are still able to run a business. My suggestion is to keep reporting this fraudulent company. Don't stop here also report them to the better business bureau until they are properly shut down. You've been WARNED. Don't be so desperate and find yourself losing money and valuable time on homes that never existed to begin with. Find you a company who actually have a branch, a building, and real people to talk to in person. Take your integrity elsewhere with a company who is legit. Or else you'll be the next victim sending a sour review. I wanted to give them a 0 ratings, because a 1 is being too generous.

Just moved in to a place that was falling apart! The doors are damaged, windows are cracked, there are holes in the walls, and yes there is a cockroach and spider infestation. We were rented this home and basically told to fix it ourselves on several occasions. Awful service!

Awful customer service (never late for rent) maintenance issues from the day of move in! Issue completed the last month of the year lease. Thats correct taken a year to complete maintenance issues. Charges for appointments that were never made let alone confirmed. No remedy for tenants. No honor or integrity from employees, missing items when mainstreet renewal employee had left

We tried to go see a house 5 different times. Apparently the lockbox was never setup correctly and could never get in. Was able to view another house, turned in application, was approved and nothing. Have tried calling, emailing for week as house just sits empty and nothing at all. Scares me to think how bad they would be if we were in a house and any issues came up. DO NOT RENT FROM MSRENEWAL!

We attempted to rent through them. Submitted all the paperwork and was told the house was on hold And should of been approved but since my wife was going to be in the house, she needed to do the application also. Then as soon as she did get application and paid the money, the house was all of a sudden not available. Classic bait and switch as they tried to get us to go with another horse. Nico silva that is very poor service.

Lived in a home that we pay a very substantial amount for lease monthly. We have been without heat for almost 16 days. Requested repairs through maintenance request portal and still haven't seen anyone. Power bill has tripled. Having to use emergency heat. Calling attorney office today. I have lived in this home for not even a year and they HVAC has been messed up since I've moved in. Also other repairs from a water leak never fixed. Plumber never showed from water leak. This is the worst experience ever.

I paid Main Street $120 for myself and two applicants. Mainstreet forced me to add occupants to my application without disclosing any occupant who has a bankruptcy will cause my application to be denied. My complaint is the applicant was only listed as an occupant, an additional person to live in the property, but Main Street pulled the occupant's credit report which had a bankruptcy which was scheduled to be paid off on September 29,2021 and then denied my entire application.

I'm not the one to bash or even ever left a review prior to this. This company is a laugh. They dragged me out for two weeks then somehow lose half the application with my partners info and now inform me I need to re apply after hours and hours or waiting to even get in contact. How are these people even in business? This is hurting people more than helping. A total of 3 weeks now it will have been for a application approval? Bull$#*!

This company allows tenants to shoot pistols and large rifles, from the driveway and back deck in a subdivision. Many reports to the company with police records on file. House was listed as quiet area on the company site. Well, not anymore! Cars running up and down the road multiple times from this house, along with gun shots that make you duck for cover. No wonder they aren't part of the BBB. If you see this or a new home for you signs... gather your neighbors and be aware. Main Street Renewal does NOTHING for the safety of neighbors they move their tenants into.

I'm new to main street i love the home which i chose however when I need something repaired for the home or to just ask a simple question in regards to the home all i get is the run around say we area third party I'm like I pay you guys on time every month and your giving me the run around I see all the reviews but I'm not waiting 2 weeks to get things repaired... I'm the type to take photos and lawyer up... and I've only been here a month. I have never rented from a company that drags there feet with high priority repairs..

Review is a "1" star because there is no lower option. Mainstreet is the worst management company. Read reviews of tenants and employees. The houses fall apart around you. Pictures on Zillow are 4 to 5 years old and misleading. I paid rent in full and on time every month. During a heightened covid-19 and during Christmas, they would not renew my lease. Their tactic to cause month to month lease increase of $150 per month. One department has no clue what the other department is doing. It is impossible to communicate with a representative by phone. I spent over $3000. 00 making landscaping improvements as seen in the before and after pictures.

I SPENT HUNDRED IN APPLICATION COST with no Results. The third party Application team, RENTGROW, approve my application and I met ALL the requirements several times. Every house that I applied for was denied, and I could not get a reason. Later on I found out that the property was given to another client and this was confirm by one of their Representatives in TEXAS. THIS HAPPEN to ME FOUR TIMES in 25 days with no REFUND or EXPLANATION.
