I ordered a plasma TV on 5/22 and was invoiced via email. The next day, I receive two emails - one with the freight tracking number for the TV, and another:

"Hello,

Please be advised that, due to the recent surge in fuel cost, we must pass on a $45 beyond-1000-mile fuel surcharge to you.
Regards
[email protected]"

For a company that makes such a big deal about shady companies who bait and switch their customers, be aware that they are no different! As I was not made aware this additional charge until after the fact, I will be disputing it with my credit card company and contacting the BBB unless they agree to reverse this charge. I will update my review if this happens.

Up-front honesty about the shipping charges would have been acceptable. Charging another $45 after the fact is scandalous.

ALMOST PURCHASED 3 APPLIANCES BUT WAS HARRASSED BY "JAMES" WHO TOLD ME "SCREW YOU LADY" AND HUNG-UP ON ME WHEN I DECIDED NOT TO ORDER BECAUSE THE BACKORDER DATE DIDN'T WORK WITH REBATE OFFER. LUCKILY, I DIDN'T DO BUSINESS WITH THIS STORE BUT THOUGHT OTHERS SHOULD HAVE THIS INFO.

false advertisement, pac 2000 say they will match any web or advertised price, but when confronted with competitors prices they don't match anything, pac 2000 made excuses about competition not being an authorized reseller, when they really are. bad experience. finally bought from competition.

I ordered a 61" JVC DILA rear projection TV from Pac-2000 on 11/27/04. I spoke with customer service via their 'Live Chat' (text based messaging) on their website. Live Chat was handy, but the CS rep took long to respond, sometimes, up to 15 minutes (said he was very busy). I have since used 'Live Chat' for shipping updates, etc. and was replied to much faster.

Since I opted for the White Glove delivery, I was told right up front that it takes 10-15 days for shipment to arrive since it comes via common carrier. I inquired a few days after placing my order and was told the TV shipped 12/01/04. Since it is common carrier, there is no tracking number to confirm. A couple weeks passed and I didn't receive the TV yet so I contacted them via 'Live Chat' and confirmed that it had shipped and was told that it hasn't been 10-15 business days yet and that it should be there no later than 12/22. Sure enough, the TV arrived on 12/21/04 via common carrier in perfect condition. My only beef is that I had to help the truck driver carry the TV into the front door myself. Since I had paid extra for the White Glove delivery, the truck driver waited until I unpacked and inspected the tv. He also took all the old packing material/box away with him.

Overall, my experience with Pac-2000 was very good. Just be advised up front that customer service is only easily reached via their 'Live Chat' and that delivery can take a long time if shipped using their White Glove delivery. In Pac-2000's credit, delivery was within their quoted timeframe.

Bottom line is they had a great price, an offer for 0% interest for 2 years, and they delivered what they promissed.

As of Mar 2008 I am still trying to resolve issues I have with PAc-2000 regarding the Frigidaire double oven I purchased. Avoid this company. the customer service stops once thay receive your credit card number. The item I received did not operate and it appears i will have to take them to small claims court for resolution. Avoid this company.

I ordered a JVC 70FH97 and TV stand from them because they seemed to have the best overall price. I received the TV (it's great), but did not receive the stand. After informing salesman "JW" at Pac-2000 about this, he said they'd call the shipper and figure it out. He later called me back to tell me to deal with their shipper myself. I figured, fine let me see what I can find out. I had to make multiple calls to the shipping company's multiple branches is Atlanta, Seattle, and LA to even try to sort out what was going on. Basically the shipping company could find no stand, and I called Pac-2000 back thinking they would help me figure this out. Considering how nice and helpful he was to me when making the sale, I was shocked when JW told me there was nothing he would do, that from his experience, the shipping company would not reimburse him and as a result he would not lose money getting me a replacement. [B]He then had the guts to tell me he thought I was lying and had actually received the stand and was trying to get another one from him!! When I asked him why I would spend over $4000 on a TV just to screw him out of a $200 stand, he said some people are just like that!! [/B] Now I am on my own trying to file a claim with the shipping company. Decide for yourselves if this is a company that deserves our business...

I'm so disappointed with how Pac-2000 and Tiger Deals of Kirkland WA told me they couldn't get in the tv stand I wanted, told me by phone they were cancelling my order since it wasn't worth it for them to get into stock, and then a month later they ship the stand to me after I cancelled! So I don't accept the package, have the carrier take the package back, and then Pac-2000 and Tiger Deals of Kirkland WA has the nerve to write me an email how I opened the tv stand, damaged it, assembled it, when (1) I never opened the stand (2) I NEVER EVEN ACCEPTED THE PACKAGE!!.

The person that runs Tiger Deals of Kirkland WA is dishonest. I'd assume half the time when the orders are correct everything is fine. But I'd assume that whenever something is wrong, Pac-2000 and Tiger Deals of Kirkland WA basically just throw the blame on the consumer and see how far they can bully the consumer before we start to defend how it is their fault.

We discovered that the domain for this business is relitevely new, which means that it could be a start-up business that does not yet have a huge amount of customers.
