to help others who are looking for an online store
they can trust. The best part about RBC is that once you place your order you don t have to worry
about anything. You will get the best prices and the service is really the best you will ever get.
It is like having your personnal computer store right across the street. In the two years I have known RBC ,the manager is always there for me and is No.1 priority is customer satisfaction. This sets new standards for online shopping! jr
Shopping and ordering was hassle free, my product ordered in and shipped to me quickly.
I would shop here again.
NOTE: shipping method is UPS, who decided not to bother arranging/doing a proper delivery and collecting my signature, but rather to leave my purchase outside on the patio while I was out of town for 5 days. While NO FAULT of shopRBC, you might want to make sure someone will be home when your UPS delivery arrives.
ShopRBC's Chris & Scott contacted UPS, and ultimately a local courier in my area came and re-collected the package and took it to their depot for me to pick up.
Excellent customer service on the part of RBC. 110%.
Ordered a custom built system from them in Mid March. Shipping was incredibly fast, I had it in my hands a mere 3 days after I had initially ordered it. System works fine, and everything was well packaged.
Prices are quite good, and the $10 flat rate shipping is fantastic.
Very pleased with my experiences and I wouldn't hesitate to shop there again.
Definitely one of the best retailers in Canada along with Premier Computer Canada, and to a slightly lesser degree NCIX.
I've always had great service, even the items I want aren't' always available. They have gone through hoops to find things for me.
There is nothing I can mark them down on. Every thing is top notch.
For some reason on this order I didn't get a tracking number, but then the delivery was so fast (less then 24 hours after it was shipped) I really didn't need it.
Second time I command from them. This time it was absolutely perfect, they shipped the item into 6 hours after payment and it arrived 2 days later :)
These people are the best!

Remaining issue is that ShopRBC seems to carry limited stock of Koolance products and must order direct from Manufacturer (Koolance). I would recommend others to buy direct from Koolance rather than add 7 days to shipping timetable.
I selected express shipping (15$ flat rate and standard is 10$ flat rate) and my order was delivered to my doorstep less than 2 full days after placing it.
Everything was well packed and arrived in flawless condition.
The flat rate shipping is a blessing... Anyone who has considered ordering a case (or any big/heavy item) from online resellers know that these command a hefty shipping charge.
You can easily have to pay up to 60$ just for shipping.
With RBC's flat rate shipping, it costs you 10$ wether you order 1 item or 1000. Want it faster? Express shipping is 15$.
I would recommend them anyday and in fact, some other big Canda-based reseller just lost my customership. I'm "switching" over to RBC for my future purchases.
The only negative point I can raise (and it is nitpicking, really) is that they don't always have the lowest price on the net. They are not out of the game, in fact they are very competitive, but sometimes an item can be found for 5-10$ less at another reseller. But you know what? They have a pricematch function that lets you inform them of their competitors' prices and they adjust the price accordingly and in a timely manner, I might add.
All in all, please pay them a visit and look through their *vast* selection. If you find something you like, buy it from them, you won't regret it, thay are professional and really fast. Customer service is top notch (kudos to Rob Guella). I had some questions concerning the pricematch function and he answered me in a professional and informative way and quickly at that.

Very fast shipping.
Website not reliable especially when you want to order.
Very poor interface for ordering online. Very poor.
Had difficulty with used heatsink being sold as new (very dishonest) upon which the fan didn't work and had trouble getting them to honor it.
Had trouble with Asus board which they held for weeks and finally sent back unfixed or serviced (through an intermediary I had in Ottawa) Had to deal with ASUS directly.
However, buying sealed goods from this reseller has always gone flawlessly for me.
edit: to address the below comment:
The heatsink was not from this order. It was a dragon orb three. This was probably back in 2002. The thermal grease protected by tape was missing on the bottom of the heatsink and the bottom had an imprint of a die. Also, the packaging had obviously been opened before and the fan didn't work. It was obviously returned as defective.
Also, the order you're looking at, with the Athlon XP 2400+ went fine. That was ordered under my Father's name. You can find a history of my purchases under Ian (same last name.)
The motherboard in question was returned through an intermediary as I have said. His name was Jason Thompson. That was an ASUS P4S533 board.
Please understand that my comments are about the general experience I've had with RBC over the years and not just this one transaction.
As I have said, MOST of my transactions have been fine.

Had another problem a week or so later when I received a defective web cam. They wouldn't order a replacement without doing their own testing, and said they'd contact me. I had to contact them to find out they didn't see the problem. I had to go to the store again to demonstrate the problem before they'd order a replacement (I originally offered to demonstrate it when I first returned it but was told they'd do it themselves). When I checked the online availability, it didn't show any, so I contacted them (online) to make sure I'd get one and was reassured it would be there in 2 days. Sure enough, a little over a day later someone else contacts me to say its on back order and I'd have to go in to the store yet again to get a refund. Ended up just ordering the same thing from amazon and received it at my door the next day.
They used to be a good store, but every interaction with them now is becoming more and more painful. I don't see myself going back there for a long while.
