Wanted to take a minute and let you know how much I appreciate your helping me with selecting the BENQ PE7700 projector. I wasn't sure what projector would be the best for my application. The one you suggested is perfect and was much less expensive than others we considered. It arrived as promised with everything we needed to connect it. Thanks Silvia

Its kind of ironic, i am against "sayings" but in this case its really true, so when they say " don't believe everything you read" in this case its very true......Despite some reviews that i read about TV Authority in the market, my buying experience with them was a total satisfaction... I searched for BENQ projectors on line, and TV authority came up , i read about them and i immediately decided to give them a call, from there is was like a 5 star vacations, it was perfect , from sales to customer services, i even got a courtesy call from one of the VP's. they explained so well and answered all my questions, that after about 20 min, i had put in the order.... my card was charged, and within two days i already had a tracking # for my order. Needless to say that it showed up within 3 business days in perfect condition.
I would like to say that i have been shopping online for a long time, i would recommend buying from them at any time, i know i would....

TV Authority thank you for a great experience, I know i will soon buy again.

I ordered a Samsung LN-S3251D on March 8 and my charge card was charged the next day.

I e-mailed 3/17 (Sat) and heard from Toi on 3/19 that my product would be received 3/26 - 28.

Interesting, since I would have expected to receive a tracking number well before delivery.

Today, 3/26, I get a form e-mail from Customer Service saying it will be another couple weeks!

So I figure its time to check them out better and find the comments on ResellerRatings.com. I was disappointed to find many negative comments.

So, I send an e-mail to them that I need a tracking number by end of day Wednesday 3/28 or I will contact Amex and reverse the charges.

But then, lightning strikes! On Thursday, 3/29, just before I call to cancel my order, my wife says I have a phone message from James, the manager of customer service. His message says my TV will be delivered the next day. Sure enough I find an e-mail with a tracking number that confirms the message. Friday 3/30 the TV is delivered.

I feel lucky and I am upgrading my evaluation to "Somewhat Satisfied."

I purchased a 50" Plasma on 2/16/07 waited a week only to find out they lost my order. At that time I was informed that my TV would ship in two weeks. After the two weeks I received a delivery window between 3/22 and 3/24, now going on 5 weeks I checked on 3/22 only to find out it would be another two weeks, I checked again, ended up canceling the order and had to have my charges reversed by the CC company since I could not get a credit issued by TV Authority. Be aware, the customer service people were nice but not reliable.

I ordered two TVs over a month ago and havent heard anything on either. I tried calling and emailing literally over 20 times. I cant get ahold of ANYONE. Someone please, if you have another successfull way to contact these people let me know: [email protected]

I did purchase a samsung tv back in Dec of 06 and had had to wait a little longer than expected for delivery but it was done satisfactorily. I recently had a minor problem with the tv and call TV Authority and they were very helpful with my inquiry and I was satisfied with thier response. I would consider buying there again

I ordered a 50" plasma and a DVD player on December 26, 2006. Tico was the sales rep. That day I got an email saying I would receive the DVD player and TV by Jan 8-10. The next day, I got a tracking number for the DVD player and it arrived on Jan 10. I called them to ask about the TV, which I hadn't even received a tracking number for, 30 min on hold, talked to Nicole. I was told it would arrive Jan 12. No TV. Called again, 30 min hold, told by Nicole it would be the following week. Called on Jan 15, 30 min on hold, told by Nicole she would try to get me a tracking number that day. I was getting pretty nervous at this point, having read the posts on this site, but amazingly, that day I got a tracking number, and the TV arrived on Jan 18, which is about 8-10 days late. So, I guess I was lucky, based on what I've read here. I would say my persistence paid off. TV Authority does seem to have pretty low prices, but you have to ask yourself how much your time is worth, because you'll probably spend a few hours on hold trying to get your stuff. Also, Tico, my sales rep said I should call him if I had any questions, but each time I called his extension, the message said his mail box was full and could not accept more messages. I get the feeling that this whole company is run by Tico and Nicole. TV Authority definitely needs to turn their situation around quickly as their reputation is being shredded on a daily basis.

In the end my experience was not *that* bad, but I would definitely not recommend TV Authority to anyone. Even if they are a bit cheaper, the stress isn't worth it to me; I'd rather pay a bit more for better, more timely service. I can only imagine what a nightmare it would be if something is wrong with an item they send you and you have to ship it back to them, swap it out, etc.

PURCHASED TV ON 2/21, RECEIVED EMAIL THAT IT SHIPPED 2/23. NUMEROUS CALLS AND EMAILS UNANSWERED. IT IS 3/21 AND I FINALLY GOT THROUGH TO CANCEL THE ORDER. THEY DID NOT APOLOGIZE OR PROVIDE EXPLANATION FOR THE DELAY. ITEM ACTUALLY NEVER SHIPPED AND MY CREDIT CARD WAS CHARGED TWICE BEFORE THEY SENT THE EMAIL SAYING THAT IT SHIPPED ON 2/23. WEBSITE HAS A LETTER ON IT STATING THAT THEY ARE BUSY, BUT HOW BUSY ARE THEY THAT THEY CAN'T SEND AN EMAIL UPDATE AS TO WHY I HAVE BEEN EXPECTING A $1500 TV FOR A MONTH NOW. TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE-DO NOT BUY FROM THEM. CHECK OUT THEIR "F" RATING AT THE BBB (BBB.ORG)

I placed an order on 10/23 for a small TV...not one of their big ticket items. The same day, my credit card was charged for the order. The following day, I received an e-mail indicating my order was placed for FINAL PROCESSING and that they estimated delivery between 11/7-9 (2 weeks later). There was no indication that it would take so long for delivery of a 26 lb TV. And they indicated the item was IN STOCK! I tried to contact customer service via e-mail about this with no response. I placed a call and was told this was normal. I complained and asked for the shipping info, which they could not provide. It took 6 phone calls and 3 e-mails (which they never answered), and direct contact with a customer service supervisor, before I got results. The supervisor indicated that they maintained no warehouse and everything shipped from a distributor, but they had no way of tracking which distributor got my order. They had no way of tracking the status of my order. He indicated that they have been having problems with their distributors lately, and their customer service was now poor. I questioned their financial status and he assured me they were not having any financial problems. Finally, on 11/8, I received notification that the item was finally shipped and I received it on 11/14 (22 days later). Also, when I wanted to cancel the order because of the long delivery time, they told me about their cancellation fee, which I did go into their site and found, which says that once your credit card is charged, they will charge you a cancellation fee for the reprocessing. But eventually the supervisor said he would waive that fee but asked me to give him a chance to handle this himself. He was not timely in getting back to me, but eventually pushed this through.

Although their price was good, do not expect to receive your merchandise in a timely manner, and you may have to pay your credit card bill before the merchandise arrives! I was ready to dispute the charge on my card.

It is difficult to get any information out of the customer service reps. I felt threatened when told it would cost me a fee to cancel. I felt like I had been taken and would never see my TV or my money back. This was a very stressful transaction for me. And it took way too many phone calls to get the status.

I would not use this vendor again!

I ordered an in-stock item as well - afer message after message to Cambryn, e-mails, trying to use the "Chat Live Now" feature with no success, I cancelled my order first by voice mail to Cambryn, then by e-mail to Cambryn (which I received confimation of her reading), then a voice mail to customer service, then a fax (I have confimation of that too) - two days later, nobody cancelled my order - they said they didn't get it. Now I can't seem to get my money back. I have opened a dispute with my credit card company and am opening a claim with the BBB. This is insane, I just want my money back. I will be sending all my documentation off. Don't buy from these people, I'm currently on hold right now trying to get a status of my refund - 45 minutes and still holding.

I ordered a samsung plasma s4253 on feb. 16th, 2007. they charged my card w/o shipping ($1095.00) which is against thier own policy. Come late march I had yet to recieve my order. they ignored my emails, gave me the runaround with vague answers, only to fess up and say they don't have it. Nicole offered me a different tv, and said it would be a couple of weeks, so I went to the website to look at it, and it said it wouldn't be availible till august 2007! Am I an idiot? No. I requested a refund and was told it would be 5-7 business days, it has now been almost 20 and I haven't seen my money. Now I mysteriously don't have an account with them. Has anyone else noticed that thier address on thier web site is different from the one on the BBB? I filed a complait with the LABBB, the City of Santa Monica for illegal business practices, and now visa to reverse the charge. If you ordered from them I suggest you do the same. Let's shut these crooks down!!!! BUYERS BEWARE!!!! THEY ARE FRAUDS AND LIARS THAT ARE RUNNING SOME KIND OF SCAM!!!!!!

I made a purchase on March 9. On either March 9 of 10, my credit card was charged. To me, when your card is charged, the order should ship. Not the case with tvauthority. They emailed me and I was given a delivery window of March 26-28. Considering I didn't hear from them for a while, I called again a few days before the 26th. I was then given a delivery window of the 28th-30th of March. But to my surprise, they sent me an email that day saying that my order was shipped. I call back asking for a tracking number. They said they didn't have one yet. At that point I started getting suspicious and getting really pissed. I call back on, I believe the 27th and I asked, "am I getting my TV between the 28th and 30th?" He said no. I said "When?" He said, "he wasn't sure." On April 5th I call them again. I get one of the rudest customer service reps you ever want to talk to. He tells me that "your TV isn't gonna get delivered any faster because you're calling everyday." I hang up on him. I called back later that day and cancelled my order. The customer service rep told me it would be between 5-7 business days before my card was refunded. I find that to be a little suspicious also. It shouldn't take no longer than 1-3 days to refund a credit card. On the 13th(the 7th business day)I call them and ask "where's my refund?" They say that I'm on the top of the list and I should get it any day. At that point I decide to go to my card company and challenge the charges. I've also contacted the authorities and they will be getting back to me soon.

DON'T EVER BUY FROM THESE PEOPLE!!! ANY POSITIVE REVIEWS YOU SEE ARE PROBABLY FROM INSIDERS!!!

And oh yeah, their phone has been disconnected.

Two weeks with no communication and did not hear from them until I said I was filling a complaint with the BBB. Never shipped product or let me know there was a hold up. Ended up cancelling my order because they couldn't tell me when they could get it out.

Same story, ordered a 50 inch plasma and now nothing. Tried for 30 minutes to get through on the phone which was busy. As I write this I've now been on hold for another hour. No response to email, live operators online never show up.

I agree, complete scam. Next call is just going to be to my CC company to have a charge back issued.

I placed this order and $3,559.99 was charged to my AMEX on 11/25/06. I was told that I would receive the order between Dec 12 -14. Not only have I never received my order but I have spoken to 3 different customer service people. I was told over 2 wks ago that I would finally receive my order and then it never showed up again. I then cancelled my order and got an email saying I would be refunded right away and he was personally overwhelmed. I have not been refunded. I am contacting the CA attorney State General's ofice as well as the dpt of Consumer Affairs to report this.

I purchased a television on 12/20 which was labeled as "in stock" and after several weeks of not seeing it, I was told that they were waiting for shipment. Every time I called to check, I was told it should show up anytime. I got tired of waiting and decided to cancel and that was almost 2 months ago. I STILL HAVE NOT SEEN MY REFUND!!!! I've left several vmails and emails with NO response. Simply unbelievable. I have never in my life ever considered posting a review of anything, but I am so angered by tvauthority that I am now bent on touching every message board I can to expose the nighmare I have experienced with tvauthority. I will continue to post until I see a refund of my money which I have been continually promised each time I talk to someone on the phone there.

Bottom line: DON'T BUY FROM TVAUTHORITY AS YOUR PURCHASE WILL NOT BE "IN STOCK" AND YOU WILL NOT BE REFUNDED YOUR CANCELATION!!!!!

Tvauthority has taken our money on 11/24/06 it is now 12/16/06. They have continually not returned calls or e-mails regarding our purchase of a 50" plasma. Order status has shown shipped, awaiting tracking number for over three weeks. I have spent hours on hold during the last two weeks attempting to get answers. I have filed a dispute with my credit card company yesterday and plan to file complaints to consumer fraud agencys and file complaint with Attorney Generals Office.
BASED ON MY EXPERIENCE I THINK THIS PLACE IS A SCAM. DO NOT PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM THIS FRAUDULENT SCAM ARTIST MERCHANT!!!!!!

I wish I'd known about TV Authority before I placed my order in January. I'm now initiating the dispute process through my credit card company. The few times I was actually able to reach someone (after somewhere around 100 attempts) I got reassurances, but no action. They basically ignore me now that they've got my money. They were able, of course, to charge my credit card last month, but I've still got no t.v. after nearly 2 months. I've never had such a terrible experience with on-line ordering. I got this company's information through Consumer Reports, and I'm contacting them to warn them about TV Authority. I only hope that someone reads this before they make the mistake of ordering from this sham of a company.
