First, I have ordered from this company for several years and always been satisfied until this last and final order.

I ordered a PC100 256MB DIMM and received a PC100 32MB DIMM. The computer I was going to put this DIMM in contained 2-64MB strips and the 256MB was going to fill the final slot. Imagine my surprise when I inserted the DIMM and came up short!! They have the gall to accuse me of trying to switch the DIMM because they claim they could not have sent the one they did because it does not have their bar code sticker on it. I emailed them the information on every sticker this DIMM has on it.
A few years ago, they sent me expensive cables that I had not ordered, nor had I been charged for. I contacted this company to send them back because I am an honest person. Now I find that I am being "screwed".

Oh well, live and learn. Fortunately, I am only out $38.00, but they won't have a chance at me again.

I have been a customer for years and never encountered any problems until now when I had to return something for credit.
They don't indicate in any manner if they received the returned item and looking at my oders on site it appears they are crediting me with the return but after a month I still have not received any credit. As with many other online retailers, lack of communication with their customers is a big problem.

I have been purchasing items from ComputerGate for several years now. That should tell you that I really like this company.

They have some of the most God awful hard to find stuff on the net. Prices are very good and service is pretty good also.

I have read about what some of you think about their 30 day waranty, but if you would pay attention you would see that you can extend that warranty if you want to. In addition, the majority of their products, if not all, have some sort of manufacture's warranty so there should not be a problem.

Yes, I have gotten hold of a couple things that didn't work correctly, but they have replaced these things promptly. And there was a mis-communication one time about shipping charges, but the excess amount was refunded promptly once they saw that it was their error.

All in all, I would give this company two thumbs up with the only downside being their handling fee. But with the great prices they have, I can live with that. :-)

Computergate has been one of my main suppliers of computer parts and cables for several years. They seem to have a great selection of items that aren't avaiable elsewhere with good prices and service. Most recently I was looking for an external HD enclosure and found one on Wed. The next Monday I had it configured and running. Will hope they maintain their high standards so I can use them in the future.

I have been ordering from ComputerGate off and on for several years. Never had a problem.
Delivery is a little slower that some of the other on-line houses.

I recently ordered a Gigabyte GA-7ZXR motherboard among $700 of other equipment from Computergate.

The board arrived used, with pieces missing and yellow ooze caked around the top of one of the large capacitors. The driver CD was scratched, the box was torn up, cables were missing and DIP switches had been switched off their factory settings. Most of the mounting screw holes had been gouged by screwheads from some previous installation.

Computergate has not acknowledged my complaint (typical for them) nor taken any action to rectify the situation. I have therefore alerted my credit card company to withhold payment. I have purchased from them for over six years and have seen a steady decline in service. Now they've reached rock bottom: selling used goods as new.

Their support has never been very good as other posters have noted. Now it's become absolutely atrocious. STAY AWAY!!!!

ComputerGate is now one of my two main shopping sites. Order placed, confirmation received and order received, all within in two days with the cheapest shipping method. Highly recommended.

We found that the domain for this business is older than two years which could be an indication that this is a trustworthy business with an established customer base and experience in their field.
