I have now purchased 4 complete sets of tires from Discount Tire Direct and will probably use them again in the future. I have found the prices to be very competitive, especially if you are able to purchase them with one or more of the many rebates they offer. The shipping is fast and you can have them shipped to one of their stores or directly to you, whichever is more convenient. The only reason they don't receive 5 stars is their rebate process is so convoluted. They require you to fill out additional forms entering again, and again, information they already have in their system because they just sold you the tires. You must upload the receipts (again, for tires they just sold you online) and a few times the upload didn't work so all the paperwork had to be mailed to them via snail mail. It appears to me they make the process purposely complicated, knowing a percentage of people will just give up. I still recommend the site, just know you are going to really have to work for any rebates.

Have just ordered my second set of tires through Discount Tires Direct. Have found them to offer cheapest prices (my 225X55X17 set cost $65 per tire). Price includes free shipping (takes 5-7 days to arrive, nicely wrapped so easy to store and transport). I get installed and balanced for $15 per tire. Have send a number of friends to the site; none have been disappointed.

I ordered studded snow tires and wheels online for the very first time. I have an older pick up with 14" rims. Placed my order through Mason who answered all of my questions and made suggestions as well. He also informed me of rebates that were currently being offered. My tires would be shipped to me on the wheels, with the studs and balanced. He sent me an email with updates and a tracking number, within 3 days I received 3 tires by UPS whose driver informed me the 4th tire was at the UPS center but they neglected to put it on the truck and would be delivering it soon, Monday at the latest and this was Friday. When I contacted UPS they said they did receive all four and would put in a investigation to find my 4th tire. In the meantime later that day Steve called and informed me that a Richard called to inform him he had a tire with a label that was dropped off to his address but belonged to me. With Steve's help I made arrangements with Richard to pick up my tire and this guy was kind enough to meet me half way. I was grateful to both Steve and the homeowner Richard. Again Mason contacted me to follow up to make sure that I was satisfied. It is rare to find such caring people who go the extra mile to make sure the customer is taken care of and happy with their purchase. I highly recommend without reservation Discount Tire Direct to anyone wishing to purchase tires and/or wheels. I will be putting on my new tires this week.

I made a tire balance appointment days before arriving. Walk-ins were serviced before me and my vehicle went into the bay 25 minutes after my appointment time. Wesley G Spurgeon called me over and indicated that the tires were worn. Too worn to even rebalance and the vibration I was feeling was because the tread was so thin it was transferring the road roughness to the steering wheel. After a good laugh I told him what the tread depth was. He reversed direction and said the tires were worn to the wear bars. I told him to look again. I have decades of experience in the automotive industry and knew the exact condition of my tires. So then he states that just the rear tires were really worn. But here is a good deal we can make for a new set of 4 tires he says. So I asked what the prorated price would be since the 65K mileage warranty was short by over 30K miles. He said that without receipts for rotation and rebalancing he could not honor the warranty. So I asked if tires that were evenly worn would qualify. He said no. So to him a piece of paper tells more than the tire itself. These tires were rotated and I was waiting until they got to the wear bars before attempting to get the warranty honored. In the past they rejected the warranty because they said the tires weren't worn to the wear bars. He could have said sorry but that's our policy or would you like to talk to the manager, but he chose to spout nonsense. Obviously, can't win here. I said, no thanks, no more discussion, just rebalance. After the rebalance he showed me some slight feathering on the front wheels. He said this was probably the vibration and I needed new tires. Finally, I get out of there and low and behold there is no more vibration even at speed on the interstate. To sweeten the experience, I now had a brake pedal pulsation when firmly applying the brakes. A classic result of uneven lug nut torque. So when I got home I had to back off and retorque the lug nuts to spec. So much for the wisdom and skill at Discount Tire. Due to their assumption that I was not knowledgeable and they could insult my intelligence, good old Wesley has lost Discount Tire the sales for all 3 of my cars.

I ordered 2 tires to be mounted on my chrome Roush rims, one was perfect but the other one had a bunch of scratches that cannot be buffed out, they offered to buy a new rim... very satisfied with the manager at this store they back up there work.... I really recommend Discount Tire to everyone

I recently purchased winter tires from a competitors's site, but needed new tires and wheels to put on for the spring, so I started looking again at pricing with the competitor. However I had time to shop around this time, so I did and came across DTD. Their pricing was a little higher than that competitor for the tires I wanted, so I spoke with an agent on their live chat feature a few days prior to making my purchase and asked a few questions regarding price matching, warranty, promotions etc. The gentleman (forgot name) was extremely helpful. I'm not extremely familiar with purchasing tires and wheels, and he took time to explain not only DTR's policies on price matching, but warranty differences etc in a very detailed and thoughtful way. I appreciated the tone, patience and eagerness to help and inform me on my potential purchase, and in no way did I feel pressured to buy at that time.

I received 3 of the mounted and balanced tires/rims at one time, and the 4th came the very next day. I was not in a hurry to receive them, so this did not pose a problem for me.

After my purchase, I engaged in another chat conversation with an associate regarding a question on my rebates, and they replied quickly and addressed my concerns effortlessly.

Any time I had a question, I used their live chat feature, because I personally find it more convenient than calling in certain situations, and it was quick to talk to someone and get the information that I needed.

I am impressed by the professionalism, high level of customer service and speed at which I received my purchase and my rebates. Their promotions were excellent and influenced my purchase over their online competitor. I was also pleased that they accept Car Care for financing options which also influenced my decision, especially since this was a rather large purchase for me. The rebate process was quick and easy as well, and I have already raved about my great experience to my father, who will be making a similar purchase soon.

I have yet to put these new tires on my car, but when I do, I'll update with my thoughts on the actual product.

I ordered by phone (4) Michelin 235-65-18 latitude tour hp tires ,Fairly negotiated price and Tires amazingly showed up at my home in 24 hours. Also my installer has never seen tires so near perfect balanced as these tires were . Installer says these tires convinced him Michellin is now his choice. Response to order was immediate. Kurt N. My Wife's older SUV needed tires, I first tried a different site, online tire that said lowest prices period, I ordered them and 4 days later got a message, not in stock, order next size smaller, again not in stock, order a tire $5 high but in cart it jumped $20, gave up on em. In searching found Discount tire direct good price and free shipping. In fact they were cheaper than the lowest price period site. Thought, oh no, another bate and switch company but put in the order and it went through with out a problem. I quickly received a tracking number and shipping information and the the tires arrived quickly. They were better than the online tire site offered and $10 cheaper. I think this company is for real and I will buy my tires here from no on

It's been 2 weeks and I'm still waiting on a tire.

I'll stick with tirerack.com next time, they always get tires to me within 2-3 days.

Price on Michelin's was on par with other on-line vendors, and $40 less per tire than my installer. However, no tax, no shipping charges? Great. Had them sent to my installer directly. Arrived in 3 business days. After install car vibrated at highway speed. Bought car back to installer and re-balanced, no improvement. My installer inferred that the tires were "bad". Called customer service and was told they had to be "road force balanced" to see if there was an issue with one or more tires. I did not like this answer but they were correct. I went to a different tire installer who said the first place did a "poor job". I did have to pay for another balancing, but it was the original installer's fault, not discounttiredirect. Also, I missed the rebate period by 1 week, but called and they sent me a $70 rebate card anyway.

I ordered 4 cooper cobras online 11 months ago for a car in restoration. As restorations go it hasn't got finished yet,,and when I mounted the tires on new rims a bubble formed on one sidewall. I called service expecting a run around about them being 11 months old and never used yet.. but instead got a nice polite lady Michelle who after asking a few questions was able to get me a replacement sent.

Have ordered four tires from them twice and, both times, found them to have least expensive tires for brand wanted and 2-day FREE delivery. Asked for Michelin tires to be "fresh dated" in the comment section of my order and received four tires manufactured two weeks ago!! Haven't had to deal with them regarding any returns so I can't comment on that but, otherwise, extremely pleased!

Bought tires twice from discount tires and both times I was promised a 50 dollar gift card and the second time I was promised 150 dollar gift card because I was a returning customer and bought trims and tires plus I explain to the salesman I never received my first gift card. He really apologised and assured me I would get 150 dollars in gift cards if I purchased my tires today. Well thank God i didnt hold my breath waiting for those gift cards because they never arrived again. Promises promises but failed to deliver twice. Never again...they lost my business

I bought 4 tires cooper C5 and after 3 months the tires from front of the car are bald, no traction. I called them and I talked with them about my issue and they gave me a wrong email address to send them pictures. Normal that I couldn’t sent them the pictures. I know that I have warranty for tires but unfortunately for me I bought them from eBay and I lost the invoice . I do not recommend to anyone to buy Cooper C5. Its to bad that I can’t attach few pictures in this review.

I purchased a set of Michelin tires from Discount Tire Direct about 4 years ago, with no problems. I was looking for a set of 4 snows last week. Their price for the Hankook tires I was looking for was about 30% lower than other sellers, with free shipping. Too good to be true? I was a little hesitant to buy from them again because of some of the negative reviews posted here at resellerratings.com. I decided to take a chance, and made the purchase this past Thursday, figuring that I had protection from Visa in case there was a problem. I received a very prompt confirmation email on the purchase, but then a couple hours received an email advising that the tires were not in stock at their regular nearest distributor, but that, to avoid delays, they were having the tires shipped directly from the manufacturer's main distributor. Hmm -- was this an orange flag? However, the tires arrived by UPS yesterday -- quicker than I'd expected, just two business days after I placed the order -- in perfect condition. So, I cannot discount other people's negative experiences, but I can say that mine have been very positive so far.

I ordered one tire and never received it. Customer service is horrible and not helpful, then I received an email stating that it will be delivered ASAP, and now tonight I get an email that due to severe weather there will be a delay on delivery.... severe weather?!? They are in Phoenix Arizona and 83 degrees.... This place is a scam and they do not have a legit business and they have no tires. I will report this to better business bureau and put it on every social media. They are SCUM!!!!!!

I've dealt with DTD via eBay for 14 years now. Over the past year or so things have gone downhill unfortunately. Customer Service...yikes, they want to argue with me when I point out a mistake in their listings or, as one rep did, act the fool by purportedly not "understanding" my question. Never seem to answer questions like "what is the DOT date" on their take off items.."we are too big to know that ".
Another new trick is their jacking up the usual price of a new tire from their usual so they can offer limited time time discounts..ex. Kumho AST 235/40-18 usually $86/each is now $99/each during their "sale" with $100 off for 4...now really a $48 off each for sale. Check out other Review sites...only in the last year or so their ratings show more unhappy customers. Like myself in the past, I was always happy with them, not as much now.

Never had a problem with service, I have purchased close to 30 sets of tires ( for my vehicles and for friends and family ) at their site in the past. I never even bothered to compare prices because I knew they were the least expensive with their multiple rebates, especially around holidays. Now, ever since they had a notice on their site about their founder dying, it seems like the good rebates have gone away, and they act like the manufacturer's rebates are a big deal. Sometimes I will go back and check prices, usually to find they are no cheaper than other web sites. I unsubscribed from emails.
