I ordered this product Yamaha 3010 from Diy Micro website and the overall handling was excellent. I would definitely keep coming back to order more in this website.

The Nikon 50mm lens I bought was about $15 cheaper than the next reputable dealer so I took a chance with this seller. The lens came without the manufacturers box and none of the original packaging. It could have been refurbished or used for all I know. The website did not disclose this information. The item description specifically said the lens was new. I called to make a return and the representative said the lens was taken from a kit. I will not buy from them again and I think it is dishonest to publish an item as new when it is not factory sealed with original packaging.

UPDATE: Upon submittal of this review, I received a call from a representative from DIYMicro who wanted to amend the situation. He explained that this occurrence with the lens was not typical of the products they sell and they require all items shipped to be new from their suppliers. They offered me a 5 years warranty on the 50mm lens that I will buy to replace the one I returned and gave me a discount coupon for my next purchase. I have revised my rating of them as this care in customer service has improved my impression of the company.

I ordered a new Nikon lens (advertised as "brand new" on DIY Micro's website), but they shipped a refurbished lens instead (no sealed, golden box with a yellow Nikon logo, no user manual, no warranty card, etc. - just an unsealed, plain, white box, and the lens itself had two small pinholes on each side of the serial number which indicate that the lens is refurbished). To their credit, the DIY Micro staff apologized for the mix-up (blamed it on a drop shipment from a new vendor), issued a postage-paid return label (so I didn't have to pay for return postage), and promptly refunded my money.

Addendum: When I submitted the review above, DIY Micro asked me to remove it (a violation of ResellerRatings.com's review policy; see below). Soon after I declined, someone used my credit card number to make fraudulent purchases online. Fortunately, my credit card company alerted me promptly, cancelled the account, and issued a new card. I've made hundreds of online purchases in the past and never had any fraudulent charges posted to my account until I purchased a lens from DIYMicro. At first, I thought it might just be a coincidence, but then I read a similar story by Miguel (posted 1/20/2012), claiming that someone used his VISA number for fraudulent online purchases soon after he made a purchase with DIY Micro. Other negative reviews by Ted (posted 12/4/2011), Lee (posted 12/2/2011), Radiohedzz (posted 11/21/2011), D (posted 10/11/2011), Ray (posted 8/11/2011), Eillie (posted 8/6/2011), Coinnyc (posted 6/22/2011), P (posted 6/18/2011), and Kile (posted 1/20/2011) fueled my suspicion that DIYMicro tried to pass off a refurbished lens as brand-new. Moreover, DIY Micro used similar excuses (item was part of a kit and/or was a drop shipment from a new vendor) in responses to other negative reviews to explain why they had shipped refurbished (instead of new) items.

Addendum #2: I edited the reviews above to comply with ResellerRatings.com's review policies #7 (no last names allowed) and #11 (no written communications between parties allowed). Curiously enough, DIY Micro also complained that I had violated policy #9 (posting references an order, transaction, or another form of submission by the user, where an intent to do business or to make a purchase did not occur), claiming that they were unable to identify my transaction, even though we exchanged several emails, including my invoice number (which I had to provide in order to post this review) after my purchase. Seems pretty fishy to me! Meanwhile, DIY Micro seems to have violated ResellerRatings.com's policies itself by asking some customers for positive reviews and for asking other customers (including me) to change or remove negative reviews.

I made a purchase with this company, and days later, I had still not received any tracking information, only a charge for $194 to my debit card. I emailed them asking for an update (I was purchasing this for a customer of my own.), I received NO response for a week. I called on a daily basis for three days straight, during their normal business hours of Mon. - Thurs. 10am - 5pm
The voicemail said they were closed, and to call back during normal hours, only, I was calling during normal hours, for days! How are they closed everyday?! They have yet to respond to me, and I'm waiting for my $194. Their email address "[email protected]" was returned as undeliverable within two minutes of sending it.
DO NOT make a purchase with this company. I hear they use threats and scare tactics against people who make negative reviews on this site, and try to coerce them into removing them, which is a violation of the policies of this site.
Someone even said that after using this company, he had fraudulent transactions made with the card number that he gave to them, and this was the only time he had that problem.

I ordered two Keurig Carousel Towers. At the time, DIY Micro was the cheapest merchant online and they shipped the item promptly w/ free shipping.

I ordered an LG canister vac. It arrived in a timely manner, but the box was pretty torn up. There was no additional shipping container around the product box. I have some concerns that it might have been a previously opened box. The good news is that there were no missing parts, and the vacuum works great. I was disappointed that there was no invoice/receipt attached to the delivery, since this is necessary for warranty service. When I placed the order, I received an email confirmation which stated that an invoice/receipt can be printed from the "My Account" section of the DIY Micro website. However, the website does NOT display a "My Account" link! I called Customer Service, and the rep said he would forward my concern to their technical services dept. He emailed me another confirmation of my original order, with the amount charged for the product (but not a receipt), and stated that this should be adequate if warranty service is required...

Ordered my camera on Dec. 27th, it shipped the 29th, and I had it in my hands (in perfect condition) on the 30th. Needless to say I was blown away with that kind of speed and I hadn't even picked any type of accelerated shipping. Maybe it helps that I'm in the North East, but still, amazing.

Doesn't hurt that it was the lowest price on the web! Will order from them in the future.

Also had to call customer service twice, first time because I had accidentally ordered 2 cameras! One time I had to stay on hold for quite a while (20+ mins), but well who hasn't done that at some point. Again, the fact that my prior call had been so smooth and the price I was getting the camera for was so low it was worth a little wait.

Purchased a washer on 5/2/13, they called me a few days to verify some information and thought nothing of it. After waiting weeks for my product to arrive, I called them. They stated they would call the shipper and it would arrive at the end of the following week (now a month after my purchase). Called them on Monday (5 weeks after I ordered it) asking for status and was told they were again contacting the shipper. Today (6/13) received a curt email stating that it had been damaged and I would not be receiving the washer. Very unfortunate experience... I figured the good price was too good to be true! Almost purchased a home theater system from them as well... good thing I didn't. Would steer clear of this vendor... shipping is clearly done on the cheap and customer service is definitely not a priority!

I had little apprehension about buying from DIY Micro initially since it's my first purchase from this seller, and item is really expensive (>$2000). However, everything went smoothly and I got the item as described without any glitches. The only thing I wish DIY Micro could have done better is to reply my email, and have a better and faster shipment option.

I was able to find a replacement camera of the same model that had been discontinued. Website seems well designed. I was a bit disappointed in the item when it arrived. Website did not state that it was reconditioned (as far as I know, it appears to be new) but it did not come in original packaging. However, it was well packaged and appeared to have all of the accessories and cables.

I ordered a Nikon camera to replace one I had just damaged. I wanted to get the same camera, but it was no longer being manufactured, so I couldn't buy it locally. I found it on the DIY Micro website and ordered it expecting it to arrive in time for my vacation. It turned out the camera wasn't really in stock. DIY could get one but, with standard shipping, it would not arrive in time. I called DIY and explained that I had wanted the camera for my holiday. They expedited my order and sent it to me by next day air with no extra charge. I am very happy with their service.

I ordered a Nikon AF-S DX NIKKOR 18-200mm f/3.5-5.6G ED VR II Zoom Lens from DIY micro, and received it promptly. I chose DIYMicro because they had the best price for it at the time. The item was listed as new - but it was in non-standard packaging. It arrived in a white box, meaning that it had been removed from a kit. It wasn't a problem, but it would have been nice to know that at the time of ordering.

I recently purchased a DSLR camera and lens from DIY Micro. It was cheaper than most places and had FREE shipping. I ordered it on Sunday, and it was sitting at my front door, perfectly packaged on Thursday. Now that's service!
