i ordered a hard drive on the 9th which was somehow mailed to the wrong address about 500 miles away, they said the tracking number they gave me was incorrect, it wasnt, when they finally admitted their mistake they said they would have fedex pick up the drive from the incorrect location and then mail it to me, so i waited, its been 2 weeks and the drive is still at the wrong address and i have yet to find an itelligent person working there to tell me why, i am now asking for a refund, lets see how long that takes them. save yourself some trouble and go to pricewatch.com, spend an extra dollar if you have to.

We've ordered from Driveguys now for a couple of years. We've never had a problem with their products and their shipping is very fast. Their products so far have been of the highest quality and performance.

EVERY time I have been VERY satisfied. Friendly, efficient, and fast reapirs. I highly recommend them. Ive had data retrieved, laptops repaired, screens replaced over the years. Always reasonably priced.

I ordered the Maxtor 160G IDE harddrive. It arrived in a timely manner. The product was exactly as advertised.
Good personal service. However, the website automation seems to be lacking. Try using the storefront on pricegrabber.

I purchased a used 36.7GB SCSI-Wide 10K, Quantum hard drive, from “Driveguys.com,” for my business. I installed the drive without any difficulty. Within two months (within my 90 warranty) it failed to boot. My computer was unable to recognize the drive. Since this was my primary drive I was unable to run my computer. I immediately called “Driveguys.com” at (818-773-9744). The phone attendant transferred me to David; David rushed me off the phone and told me Josh would call me back. I waited about an hour, Josh did not call back. When I called to speak to Josh; Josh was very abrupt, he told me to call a data recovery firm that would charge me thousands of dollars to recovery my information, I declined so he hung up. I decided to call back to get the number, Josh gave it to me. The data recovery person claimed it would be between $500- $2800 to recovery any information from this drive. I decided to return it because it was still under warranty. When I called back, Josh abruptly told me to speak to David regarding an RMA. David just referred me to the website. I asked David “what was the process by which I could return this drive and get another, from another manufacturer.” David claimed he didn’t know. So I asked to speak to someone who did. David claimed I couldn’t talk to anyone else. That he was the only person in charge of RMA’s. He once again referred me to the website, “it’s on the website, it’s on the website, it’s on the website!!!” By this time I didn’t know what to think. I believe they might be very busy and didn’t want to deal with customers. Both where abrupt, rude and harsh I will not do business with “Driveguys.com” or any of there affiliates again. I received a defective product and was treated poorly, granted I’m still within my 90 day warranty, I could imagine how they treat customers outside there warranty.

I’ve decided to call the manufacturer to replace this defective harddrive.

One of the two "new" Western Digital WD2500JS drives I bought for a RAID 1 array was DOA. The Western Digital serial lookup said this drive was not in warranty. Kevin Raub of Driveguys issued RMA CO-9455 on 12/31/07. I sent the drive back via UPS for replacement. That's the last I've heard from Driveguys. I sent them several subsequent emails including the UPS proof of delivery. Obviously, I'm not going to deal with them again or trust data to the one drive they sent that didn't fail immediately. These drives were supposed to be NEW.

UPDATE: After the Better Business Bureau got on them, they issued a check to me for the original purchase price, something like $55. I took the check to Bank of America to vet it before depositing it to my account. Surprise! The check was no good.....just like the hard drive.

We browsed the web and found that this business has an active Facebook page. We have discovered that this business has SSL (secure sockets layer), which means that this business handles your data, such as personal information or credit card details, with secure connection. We found that the domain for this business is older than two years which could be an indication that this is a trustworthy business with an established customer base and experience in their field.
