Had roof removed by Jim’s, gave themselves access to property a week before job started removed vent pipe which left a 150mm hole in roof even though it was raining. Price keeps going up and very hard to deal with. His first reaction is threaten legal action and what a potty mouth. Really disappointed won’t ever use Jim’s again

Got two quotes to remove the asbestos walls in our house, one from jim's asbestos and another from a different company. Jim's was cheaper by $500 so we went with them and now we really wished we didn't! They told us that when they removed the asbestos walls in our kitchen and laundry, they will clean the dust from the wall cavities and spray them with a glue solution. We check their work after and dust still remained. Sent another email with photos and told them nicely that we want to have dust removed. They came back and removed the dust in the laundry but not in kitchen area! This is really poor workmanship. What's the point of having the asbestos "professionally removed" if they didn't do a proper clean up afterwards. Really really disappointed.

Jim's sent an asbestos revivalist from my area who also goes by "MSG Asbestos Removals" (MSG Services) to quote my job. The person they sent either sent me someone else's quote, or else they can't tell the difference between corrugated iron and corrugated asbestos roofing. I asked them to clarify and have got silence in return (email), so I'm guessing it was the latter and they have been embarrassed to admit the mistake. This is the third, and I think last time I'll be using the "Jim's..." group for a job. They have a great call centre, but they seem to have a low bar for the quality of people who can take out a franchise with them. Each time it's been a waste of my time getting quotes with them. Better off going directly to the local businesses rather than through Jim's.

I just had Jim's remove the asbestos cladding and roof from my tandem garage and bungalow. Quoted $1000 less than Reads. They did the job quickly (after the WorkSafe notification period was over) and left no mess.
I would recommend them to anyone having this kind of job done.
